Faust goes above and beyond - they've taken odd emergency jobs for me at the water park I run, come with all the parts and tools needed for my annual start up and shut down, do the work quickly and efficiently, communication and the work is always excellent.

We had gone through my home warranty twice for my basement sewer being backed up. They offered to have the first company come or to have Tuffys. I chose Tuffys because the first place came in September and this shouldn't be happening again! Tuffys came EARLY (awesome!) Fixed my issue in about 20 minutes!! So fast, stated it was probably never fixed correctly in the first place since the issue came back again so soon but who's to tell regardless. Austin cleaned up so nicely after as well!! We were informed incorrectly about so many things by the previous company & Tuffys knew EXACTLY what they were doing. Thanks again to Austin & Sherry for coming and helping & squeezing me in their schedule. With being a first time home owner with my fiancé they were so kind, on time & quick our minds were put at ease. 10/10 HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!

This is a great company! Got the work done fast. Was very honest in their pricing. By far one of the best process for quoting, and payments I have seen used by a contractor. They also do great work, new faucet is working great.

Hartlaub doesn't just do the big things right, they get the little things right. I will be calling them in the future - and not just for plumbing.

The Big Things: We had an issue with our water heater which I hoped would be simple, but knew it would not - it was old. Hartlaub sent someone out the next day and assessed it, determining that it could be fixed, but explained the expense and risk of the fix versus new - and gave us the options. We opted for new. They managed to get it sourced and installed the same day. The service guy (Sam, who was awesome) inspected the new unit with me before leaving. Shortly afterward, I went down to clean up the mess I had made and noticed that Sam had cleaned up some of my mess. I also noticed water on the floor. I could hear a drip, but it was coming from inside the shell, not the fittings or anything from the install - I just was lucky enough to get one of the units with a small defect. I called the after-hours line on Friday evening and they responded quickly. I clarified that it wasn't an emergency and it could wait. They sent Mike (also awesome) out the next morning. He looked at it and immediately realized that it needed to be replaced. He apologized profusely, but it was the unit, not the service. All good. He was prepared to jump through a bunch of hoops to replace it immediately, but I said Monday was fine. He got the new unit ordered and came Monday (right on time) and got it replaced.

The Little Things: (1) they are friendly - every single person. (2) they send a text prior to the tech arriving with a picture and little bio. (3) I think they're all trained how to talk with people, explain options, and smile even in difficult situations. (4) they respond quickly. (5) they take responsibility and don't point fingers. (6) they care for the carpets, walls, stairs, etc. - the place was spotless when they left.

They came to help solve our problem. We had a leaking water heater. Problem fixed. In need of a 24 hours plumbing company? This is the company to-go-to. Oh I almost forgot its 11 PM when I called.

I left a message over the weekend that my water heater was leaking and needed a quote for replacement. I got a call this morning and they were able to fit me in this afternoon. Alpine Plumbing was the contractor for our new house built in 2017. Two months ago (summer 2020) we had a leak in our basement. The valve that controls the flow from the main water line had cracked, and the crack was below the shutoff valve so we couldn't shutoff the leak. This is a thick solid brass piece and we were very surprised to see that it cracked. The plumber that came out to fix it (not Alpine as we did not know who did our plumbing at the time) said the crack occurred because it was tightened too much. This is a house 2.5 years old and we had a leak in our basement because of a bad install by Alpine. I contacted Alpine via their web form to complain and try and get reimbursed and received a call back shortly later, but I wasn't able to answer the phone. I tried calling back twice and was never able to get ahold of someone. Alpine did not try to contact me further, via phone or email. At the least they should have followed up via email when I didn't answer the phone the one time they called.

I do not recommend this business as they are obviously inexperienced and have poor communication.

UPDATE: Had a second cracked fitting that was also due to over-tightening!

I just received the bill for a same day visit for a small sewage back up in the basement. TWO people arrived, a plumber and “helper” as listed on the invoice. They arrived shortly after 2:00 pm and completed the work by 2:45 pm. Courteous. They ran sewer and floor drain and flushed with water. Cleaned up. Did not put things back where found after moving them though. They are billing me $509.57. Charging for me for 1.75 hours of work? I live about 3 miles from their office so even with travel it would not total 1.75 hours. $157.50 for the “helper”—who is this and why were they there? Was not told I would be paying labor for two. $290.50 for the plumber and $35 for unspecified materials. I find this to be dishonest and exorbitant. Will be filing complaint with DATCP and BBB.
