Best Line Repair in Mesa AZ

This business was selected by my hot water heater manufacturer for a warranty defect. I was to pay labor, but parts were covered by the warranty.

First, BSJ could not come out for 2 full days. Once the technician arrived, he diagnosed the problem as an electrical failure in the thermostat. Apparently, this required a full swap of the hot water heater. Not a huge deal because it's easy to access and had quick disconnect fittings that were not old.

Next the technician convinced my wife that we needed a whole house pressure reducing valve because our pressure was too high and it was a code issue. Keep in mind that this is city pressure and is the same for the entire neighborhood (and probably most of the city). Also, this was not a cause of the hot water heater failure or any other issue. This valve was $500 to install and my wife felt like she did not have the option to say no. We had been out of hot water for two days already. The new valve has a slight leak and some of the new copper is bent - not sure about the code on that install.

Next, my wife had to accompany the technician to Lowes for the replacement. Lowes was actually great, the big box store did their best and took care of the issue. The technician then spent hours on the swap out. Labor for the install? $850 Yes, that is correct another $850. It cost us $1350 for a hot water heater warranty replacement. The hot water heater was only $460 when brand new.

The best part is that he left a giant sticker on the water heater so I can remember to tell folks who NOT to call.

Edit 8/20/21 BSJ contacted me and came out to repair the leak (which was done quickly and without incident). We also discussed the workmanship and I believe we both agreed that the pipe joint that was dented (looked like a hammer blow, but who knows), was not up to their standards of quality. I appreciate BSJ's prompt response, but I stick by my review.

He was running late because of an emergency at another house but sent frequent time updates. We ended having another plumbing issue just a few weeks later and requested Matt again and again, he was great, showed us how to fix it ourselves for next time, and again, the price was so reasonable. We highly recommend this company!

I highly recommend this business. They were quick to respond and able to get us on the schedule quickly. Our technician, Dillon, gave me some options but we went with a replacement water heater. He was kind, professional and took the time to make sure we were completely satisfied. Dillon even replaced a light bulb we couldn't reach. Thank you for doing a terrific job.

My office had a backed up toilet. I called at the end of the business day and first thing thr next morning they came out to unclog the toilet. Turns out my coworker dropped her debit card in the toilet....opps! They were able to fix the problem and save me from plunging the toilet for 20minutes before using it. Originally, he came to our home for a kitchen sink drain clog only to discover water stains on the outside structure. He is very professional and gave exceptional customer service explaining the process in order to fix the problem for materials needing to be replaced and fairness of pricing given to us by his company. Throughout this journey, his scheduler Jackie was very professional offering to get in touch with George right away when questions arose and calling right back with answers. Drawback - his prices are very expensive. For example: a shower valve replacement that should be about $400 cost me $700.
