Best Emergency Service Available in Memphis TN

I had called Conway Plumbing to look at a leaking shower head. They wanted $2500 to rebuild it, claiming the valve wasn’t made anymore. I called Smith Plumbing for a second opinion and the plumber, German, was very professional and diligent in finding the replacement part for $40, plus labor. As an absentee landlord,a I highly value a company that works to find a reasonably priced solution and saves me money. Many thanks!

Tacker Plumbing rescued us today. My husband works long hours and my son works in sweltering heat all day. For them to come home to a busted water pipe and no water, distressed me a lot! I called Tacker and they came within the hour. They went straight to work and ended up shoulder deep in the ground. They did not stop working until the job was done. They offered me cold water, which embarrassed me because I was too busy watching them to even think of offering THEM cold water. He showed me the piece of pipe that was damaged and explained what they had to do. After an hour and a half they were done, water was back on, and I was totally relieved. I give them 5 stars for timeliness, professionalism, and kindness. They were worth every penny. I wish I could have afforded to give them a big tip. If you live in Marion, West Memphis, or any of the surrounding small towns, do yourself a favor and call the RIGHT people the FIRST time: Tacker Plumbing.

Got our drain fixed quick!

Hard to be excited when I was charged a little over 600 to run a snake down a cleanout and not even clear the clog. Granted, part of that was supposedly for also running a camera, which the tech said he was going to try and get free, but then just did it anyways when he couldn't and didn't let me know first. But even still, 600 for a snake that didn't clear the clog and a camera is still an insane amount. Then I was qouted about 7500 to replace the sewage line in the front yard or 4500 to just dig up and repair the one spot. I'll dig that hole myself tyvm. The tech that came out was super nice tho. I can't blame him for his company's pricing. He just could have communicated the camera cost a lot better if he couldn't get it done for free like he pitched to me at the start.

Edit:. Thanks for the reply and I'm glad you're going to look into it. I do understand that in the end I only paid a little less than 300, but if I'm writing a review, I need to be real about the initial charge I was given. This will be what others will experience. I only paid that much because I complained about the price and spoke with someone on the phone about it. If 600 if normal for the work performed, then that's still really high and worth mentioning. I do appreciate you responding quickly and it shows you at least care about your business :)

Office was very responsive when setting up the appointment and they kept in touch. Courtavious arrived on time and diagnosed the issue and fixed it. He was friendly and knowledgeable. Crowe installed my unit many years ago and I keep coming back. They will take care of you. Highly recommend them and ask for Courtsvious to be your tech. You will not be disappointed.

These guys are my go to for not only my traditional heating and ac units, but also for my very very very ancient midtown boiler. They are super fast to respond, reasonably priced, but most importantly every tech they ve sent has been polite and extremely knowledgeable about the equipment they are working on. I am so happy to have found Baker!

ORIGINAL REVIEW WILL REMAIN BELOW WITH AN ADDENDUM AT THE END.----------------------------------------------------------------------ORIGINAL:I pay a monthly fee to be part of Conway's comfort club. Part of the membership includes preventative maintenance; with the increased heat I've noticed my AC struggling, so I set up an appointment.I called 6/14/2022 to schedule said maintenance and received a date of 6/29/2022. The scheduled appointment came and went and no tech arrived. Conway's dispatcher called around 5pm and attempted to reschedule for 7/19/2022.When I indicated the delay was unacceptable, It was rescheduled for 7/2/2022 (a Saturday). Once again, no tech arrived, and when I received a call I was told they could still come out, but there would be an addition $99 fee for the service call, or they would reschedule me for 7/21/22.When I asked to speak with a manager, or someone with control over billing, I was told there was no one else in the building, but I was welcome to send an e-mail.I'm also welcome to take my business elsewhere, which is what I'll be doing.tl;dr: Conway services may perform adequate work, but they are unreliable, unorganized, and eager to slip additional fees into any project.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------EDIT:Conway made contact near immediately the first business day after I posted my review. They detailed what went wrong on their end, how sorry they were for the inconvenience, and what would be done to make everything right.How a company rectifies a mistake is important; Conway did an excellent job here.My previous tl;dr was vitriolic and fueled by fueled by mistakes and miscommunications that occurred across multiple individuals (including myself).The Conway installer performed his work quickly and efficiently. The only attempted upsell was for an entirely viable product; I understand why it was offered and appreciated it.With service levels returning to what I originally experience, I'm happy to remain a Conway customer.
