One Friday afternoon, I came home to a slow drip from my water heater. By Saturday morning I had a bigger and better water heater, beautifully installed, for a good bit less than what the big stores wanted to charge. On top of the fast turnaround, fair price, quality tank, and professional install -- on a weekend no less, Joe was a pleasure to deal with. The whole process was downright enjoyable, and made me glad to support another great local business.

Portland Star Plumbing was easy to work with, prompt, and very professional. They fixed a long-standing problem (incorrectly plumbed utility sink). Both service technicians observed COVID guidelines and cleaned up after themselves. We we’re very pleased, and will be hiring them to do a big job—all the plumbing for a new, above-garage apartment—this spring!

Fantastic overall service! Cameron was the best plumber we have ever had work in our home. He identified and explained the problem, then repaired the leak we have been battling for several months. He was very knowledgeable, explained everything thoroughly, ensured I understood, was extremely professional, and was very careful in our home. He deserves an A+++ for his knowledge, great communication skills, terrific work ethic, and professionalism.

Chris showed up on time and ready to work. He handled the job quickly and even gave us pointers on how to keep things running smoothly. He also noticed we had an open pipe from waiting for a sink to be installed, and suggested we put a cloth in the pipe to stop sewer gasses from getting into the house. Nice guy, great service. Rob was sooo helpful getting a pipe repaired on our property. He was so quick and we got it resolved right away! Bought a water heater from them in 2017 and they installed a propane water heater which my natural gas does nit convert to. I called them and the lady was rude and extremely unprofessional, she told me that since they are closing their doors this week and going out do business it doesn't matter. Talked to a very reputable plumbing company Sky Heating, AC, Plumbing and Electrical and they said that is absolutely wrong and why my unit is leaking. Do not work with this company and if you need a plumbing company go to them because unlike Western Plumbing they know what they are doing, they are professional and they actually care about people and the work they do. I will be filing a complaint with the CCB as well as the Attorney General. The least they could do is prorate the cost so we can put it towards a new one since they screwed up.
