Update : kinda bummed the block wall was painted but no cracks or holes were caulked. So now I’ve been having to go caulk them all and repaint over it :/ bummer.

We hired Crash of Rhinos based on their 5 star reviews. They were one of four other bids we received. They were right on target with the other bids. They did an excellent job from beginning to end. Everything I read in the other reviews was right on. If I could give them 6 stars I would. I would also highly recommend Crash of Rhinos to anyone.

Worst experience ever with Metzgers Painting Professionals, and I can tell you they are anything but professional. We hired them to do a full interior of our home. The workers left trash and food (cantaloupe rinds and half eaten tacos) all over the kitchen and on the floor. Not to mention they stole beer out of our refrigerator, but that might explain why the paint job was so terrible. My father-in-law asked if we had kindergartners paint the house, the work was so sloppy. The sinks and bathtub were used to clean paint, but they didn’t bother to clean out the tubs after; handprints in paint were visible on the walls; there was overspray on the master shower and guest bathtub; there is still paint on our blinds, windows, AC vents, and even our back patio where there was some sort of paint explosion that sent white paint droplets all over the exterior of our home. They did a very poor job of getting enough paint on the walls to cover the prior paint, especially along the lines where the wall meets the ceiling. Although they told us there would be an on-site supervisor, it was very clear the first time the supervisor saw the work was during the walkthrough. Of course, the work was so bad they had to come back multiple times to correct the horrible job they did, including twice when they scheduled with us to fix the paint explosion on the back of our house but did not show up at all…no call, nothing. Go with Metzgers if you want the job to be really sloppy and if you want it to take three times as long as scheduled because they have to come out multiple times to fix all the mistakes.

Carlos is a true professional painter and it shows in the quality of the job and his work ethic. I used CertaPro specifically because of Carlos... he has painted two houses for me.

We had used ABN last year to paint our exterior wall. So impressed by the results we had them do the adjoining walls this year. They did a fantastic job from prep to clean up. Alex goes above and beyond expectations.

This is the second time I have used this business for painting my home. Both times they have done great work. I would absolutely recommend them and plan on using them again myself for future projects.

Andres is very responsive, answering all the questions I had on my first paint job ever. His estimates were comparable to others. He brought a guy from Dunn Edwards for extra consulting on the pool area, which I really appreciated, it made me feel a lot more comfortable. The team showed up exactly when they said they would. We very polite and tidy. After the job was over, we did a walkthrough to make sure everything was done to standards. I highly recommend Ansa.

We quickly noticed that Hector and Jack take pride in the business. They are efficient, reliable, friendly and fair. They completed our entire house within three days and ensured our house was well taken care of after they left for the day. After the project was complete we have had a few touch up appointments. They’ve been so easy to work with regarding our schedules and concerns. There was never a question about their work ethic and ability to complete the job. We are so happy we worked with them to complete our project. Top notch company!

Nathan and his team did an exterior and interior painting for my home. They did an excellent job and the price was very reasonable. There were a few missed spots, as expected, and they came out the next day to finish the touch up. Highly recommend Nathan and his team.

Based on the good reviews here I expected a professional company and while the work was adequate there are a few issues on the business end of things that dropped my rating to 2 stars:

1. Changing the price after the quote was accepted.
2. Very pushy and borderline harassing payment requests.
3. Accounting errors.
4. Online payment problems.

After I submitted a request for a quote Jack got back to me very quickly and provided a bid. It was a reasonable quote so I decided to move forward. He said they had availability for the following week (which was a big plus), and it would be 25% to lock in the day, 25% deposit, and then the final 50% upon completion.

Jack told me that they would accept Zelle (also known as QuickPay/SurePay, depending on who you bank with), or personal check, or credit (which would involve a surcharge.) I replied that Zelle would work for me and promptly set up a payment for the first 25%. I had to do this in two installments however, since my bank caps the amount for transactions to Zelle recipients without established payment history. Jack gave me a bit of a hard time about this which should not have been an issue on their end - at this point no work had yet been performed.

Here is where we had the first issue. It took a few more back and forth text messages with Jack to get payment details worked out. Apparently the owner, Joe, did not have his phone number registered in the Zelle system (only email), so the payments were not being automatically deposited. I remained patient as we sorted through the payment issues.

After this was all sorted out, Jack gave me a call and told me that he had made an error in calculating how much paint would be required due to the finish on my house, and would I mind very much in splitting the difference. This kind of put me on the spot. I didn't want them to try to stretch the paint too thin in order to keep costs down. And based on our previous payment SNAFU above, I also worried about getting my 25% back promptly if I didn't agree to the adjustment. In hindsight, I probably should have cancelled the job here. No honest business should call their customer back and ask them to revise the quote based on an error on their part, especially after the customer has paid the good faith deposit. You eat the extra cost, end of story.

After the work was done, Jack was back on the phone with me to collect the remaining 50% (plus the extra paint add-on). He incorrectly provided me with a balance that did not include credit for all payments that had been made and accepted. After correcting him, once again I promptly set up payment. Once again as well I received multiple follow up texts and phone calls from both Jack and Joe asking me to check things on my end. Again, I felt this was pretty unprofessional. Make sure you have things set up on your end before you harass your customer.

Joe, your business needs to get up to speed on modern payment methods. If online banking is too complex for you then get a bookkeeper who can handle it or insist on paper checks (and accept the loss of business that entails). Your customers have busy lives and they are paying your company for a seamless experience.

Sam was awesome. He did the whole house, inside and out. Would use him again without hesitation. Highly recommend.

John the owner himself came to the house to bid the job, and already had 4 other bids. He himself was professional and straight to the point. He gave me a fair price and a great guarantee on the paint.
On the day of painting the crew arrived and David and DeVon were amazing, they took their time to be sure all the cracks and crevices were filled in in the fascia as well as the walls, and could tell that they were proud of their work
