Best Remodel in Phoenix AZ

My wife and I purchased our Home, a Midcentury Modern built in 1955 by Ralph Haver in the Arcadia neighborhood of Phoenix. The Home had original ungrounded wiring with exposed wire splicing. There were also two rooms that were added by a previous owner without permits.

Ultimately, we wanted to fully restore our Home to its original character, while at the same time, installing all of the safety, amenities and conveniences found in homes of new construction today.

We interviewed a handful of contactors for this task, Steve Shinn from Homework Remodels being one of them. Steve immediately stood out from the group. We found him easy to talk to, prompt and extremely knowledgeable with the historic characteristics of our Haver Home.

With Steve’s help, we nearly rebuilt most of the major components of our Home. When it was said and done, we upgraded the entire wiring and electric panel, installed new HVAC main unit and ducting lines, replaced all of the plumbing lines (both supply and drain lines including the sewer), installed LED recessed lighting throughout the Home, constructed a stem wall, a trench drain and added mini split HVAC units which the City required for issuing permits for the two unpermitted rooms, installed a 16” slider to the backyard, utilized steel beams to remove loan bearing walls in order to open up the kitchen and the living rooms, installed a tankless water heater system, applied sprayed insulation in the small attic, and performed various other upgrades.

We are very happy with Steve’s work. We found Steve’s work to be of high quality and found Steve’s expertise and creativity in helping rebuild our Haver Home to be invaluable.

We plan on hiring Steve in the near future to complete Phase 2 of our Home, which will include all of the finishes.

My wife and I are extremely pleased with the overall project. There are always hiccups when doing home renovations but Al and his crew were very professional and kept me in the loop through each and every step.

We hired Phoenix Home Remodeling, after meeting with and receiving quotes from several other companies, to remodel our master bathroom. We were so very impressed with the communication, support, and reliability we experienced, from our initial appointment through our entire remodel. Every trade that came to our home to complete the project was equally professional. We are so pleased with our new bathroom and appreciate that Ben, Mark, and Jeremy were always available to answer questions, respond to requests, and help us create our new space.

Adam was great to work with! We had all the cabinets doors in our home refinished and painted, all countertops in the house upgraded with quartz, and marble backsplash added in the kitchen. The work was impeccable. He answered all questions and concerns we had with no issues. We have already hired his company for another project!

We got new kitchen cabinets and a granite counter top from Kitchen AZ and are very happy with the work that they did. These guys are very professional and take pride in their work. There were a couple of minor issues to take care of after the job was finished and they came back right away to make sure everything was done correctly. I would do business with them again without question.

Do not use this company for anything they are stating they can do! The owner is a liar and when comes for estimates doesn't disclose everything and when the job is done and you start to have questions he will say that he has explain everything (because he does this for 30 years even though he is in business for less, check his business and claims with ROC) and he will request for more money. Since end of August our kitchen is still missing items and unfinished. I would not trust them!

Elizabeth Peterson was an outstanding Sales Rep. Nate Faust was the Project Manager and very professional explaining the details and answering any questions. Brett Lusk and Issaha did the shower installation and made the process seamless. We are very pleased with the finished product and highly recommend DreamStyle! Five Stars!!

Todd Whittaker Drywall Inc. recently finished a project on our home. We had drywall, trim carpentry,and painting performed. The quality of workmanship is outstanding. The craftsmen are professionals. Allure Bath & Kitchen remodeled both of the bathrooms in our vacation home. John was extremely easy to work with. We trusted them to come in and out of our home while we were not present. Holtzman Home Improvement is a highly competent and professional company who remodeled my entire house. The process started with their great designers, , who patiently took my vision and made it come to life with HHI's computer modeling program. This enabled me to see exactly what it would look like before any work began. They also helped me select products and finishes. They clearly understand and consistently demonstrated outstanding customer service.
Brandon and Daniel provided constant oversight and communicated project status to me on a regular basis. The entire crew, all employees were excellent with the work they did in their respective skill sets. They checked in with me frequently to ensure they were giving me exactly what I wanted and they were always respectful of my time.
A big remodeling project always has a few hiccups along the way, but the staff completely owned them and solved my issues quickly. I highly recommend using Holtzman to ensure the highest quality of remodeling service. I now enjoy a beautifully remodeled townhouse thanks to their team.

We did a total remodel of our house. When I wasn’t happy with something, they fixed it. They weren’t good about cleaning up after themselves. I told them I wanted the ceilings painted white, but Jake picked his own color of off white. One of the windows they put in was faulty and months later they replaced it, had it stuccoed, but never came back to paint it. They don’t respond to my texts. I painted it myself. We are happy with the end result, but you have to keep on them.

ArDan Construction recently completed a major remodel of our home. They were extremely accessible to discuss questions or make changes. They worked hard to minimize our inconvenience as we lived in our home. They took care of any problems that developed and made it right. The process went smoothly and was totally stress free. Everyone in the team, from the design headed by Simone, through the demolishing and rebuild headed by Dan, were wonderful to work with. They came on time and did what they promised to accomplish that day. Dean, the owner checked on the progress several times and came at the end to make sure all was done to my satisfaction. I am thinking of redoing my kitchen next year, and will definitely use Kitchens by Good Guys again.
