Best Kitchen Remodeling Consultation in Phoenix AZ

My wife and I purchased our Home, a Midcentury Modern built in 1955 by Ralph Haver in the Arcadia neighborhood of Phoenix. The Home had original ungrounded wiring with exposed wire splicing. There were also two rooms that were added by a previous owner without permits.

Ultimately, we wanted to fully restore our Home to its original character, while at the same time, installing all of the safety, amenities and conveniences found in homes of new construction today.

We interviewed a handful of contactors for this task, Steve Shinn from Homework Remodels being one of them. Steve immediately stood out from the group. We found him easy to talk to, prompt and extremely knowledgeable with the historic characteristics of our Haver Home.

With Steve’s help, we nearly rebuilt most of the major components of our Home. When it was said and done, we upgraded the entire wiring and electric panel, installed new HVAC main unit and ducting lines, replaced all of the plumbing lines (both supply and drain lines including the sewer), installed LED recessed lighting throughout the Home, constructed a stem wall, a trench drain and added mini split HVAC units which the City required for issuing permits for the two unpermitted rooms, installed a 16” slider to the backyard, utilized steel beams to remove loan bearing walls in order to open up the kitchen and the living rooms, installed a tankless water heater system, applied sprayed insulation in the small attic, and performed various other upgrades.

We are very happy with Steve’s work. We found Steve’s work to be of high quality and found Steve’s expertise and creativity in helping rebuild our Haver Home to be invaluable.

We plan on hiring Steve in the near future to complete Phase 2 of our Home, which will include all of the finishes.

Phoenix Home Remodeling did a fantastic job for me. They did all my floors, 2 bathrooms and my kitchen in 5 weeks (one of which I was away on vacation) without going a dollar over the original budget. Ben’s project management skills take all the work off of me. All I had to do was pick things out and he did the rest. Mark did a fantastic job with every detail. I never thought that my postage stamp sized bathrooms could look so good. I recognized water damage on the walls of the rooms adjacent to my master bathroom. Fearing mold damage, I contacted Dream Style. Max S and Skyler S spent several days solving my problems. I had both my secondary and master baths done for continuity. When Max pulled out the walls in the Master bath, he did find the mold damage that I anticipated. The project was not a simple one. My old house has walls that are not exactly square and the rooms so small that there were no standard sizes resulting in extra work - Max and Skyler pulled it off without a hitch.

They came in to do stucco work on a new wall and repair work on exsiting stucco. They did a great job with the work, matched paint very close to the other (not easy to do) and cleaned up after their work. They went above and beyond and actually did a little more repair/patch job than originally talked about and did not increase the agreed upon price. Even without that, I am very pleased with their work.

From start to finish my husband and I are very pleased with John and his crew. Everyone was prompt, courteous, detailed oriented & efficient. I always received a prompt response from John or Michael to any questions that I had. We had both bathrooms remodeled at the same time, so it was important that the bathroom project was done in the time we agreed upon. Allure met every expectation with a A+ rating! Our bathrooms look amazing and it was such a pleasure working with John his son Michael and their crew. We highly recommend Allure!

I selected Holtzman out of a large group of local companies as they seemed to have the best understanding and appreciation of what I wanted done, and were within price expectations. Rob Hardee was my Project Manager and my go to person.

The scope of work was as follows. The previous owner of my house enclosed the patio into an additional room but made some decisions that made is susceptible to water. The room flooded during the massive rain back in 2014. Since then we were keeping it clean but unused until we could afford to repair.

When it came time to repair we knew we wanted two things, raise the floor to the same height as the rest of the house, and remove concrete on the side of the house that was higher than the room. Most companies wither wanted to repair in place and not raise the room or do a full demo of everything. Rob Hardee was open to some alternatives recommended by friends of mine in the industry, he carefully considered the the options and we went with what I felt was the best option.

We did not overrun budget with the exception of a small amount on tile as the cost of tile we picked was higher than the estimate. With the refinancing boom we came to the table expecting that many construction companies were going to be stretched thin, but Rob was responsive to questions and communicative throughout the whole process so we were not concerned.

Absolutely will use HHI again when I have more remodeling to do.

The work was to a very high criterion and has converted my bathroom, and it looks fantastic. The team were amicable, punctual and different. I highly recommend it.

Kitchens by Good Guys does excellent work!!! We gutted our kitchen and took out a wall. Good Guys didn’t shy away from the project, in fact they knocked it out of the park!! We love, love, love our new kitchen. From start to finish, all staff we worked with were professional, knowledgeable, creative and a pleasure to work with. Good guys provided a timeline for the project, from purchasing/building of the cabinets to the final inspection approval. They were realistic in their timeline and were done when they said they would be. We were not in the house for the project but Good Guys use a platform where they upload photos of the progress of the project. We appreciated this extra step. I cannot say enough about this team. You will not regret hiring Good Guys!!

I currently work for Ben and finally found an employer that isn’t afraid or to good to bust his butt day in day out on the whole project with his employees! He is very meticulous, knowledgeable, and extremely accurate in all of his projects. He is the definition of a caring boss and professional businessman!... I went to their showroom and was really impressed with all that they could do. Tracy was so helpful in my quest to pick out a countertop to go with my floor, walls, and cabinets. I am not good at these things but she is. I love my countertops. I was on a limited budget so could not take advantage of all they offer but what I got I am completely satisfied with. I love my new sink too. The tech that came out to make the template and installers were great, personable, efficient, and very professional while they turned my dream kitchen into a reality. This is a great company I was very satisfied with my experience and all of the staff is so helpful and friendly!

We had a great expereince with Tim Huber. He helped us redesign our kitchn and eating area and he and his crew installed everything and it was an excellent experience. Tim is very responsive and has a great eye for design. When something went wrong they were easy to work with to get it rectified. Defientely, a 5 star business!!

We used Atelier507 to remodel the tiling of our master bathroom shower, add a niche, and update the water fixtures. Throughout the entire process, they were very responsive, provided 3D renderings of what the final look would be and would update the renderings for any detail we want to add/remove/adjust. Atelier507 also provided progress photos during and after the project. They did an excellent job and were very professional. We are very satisfied with the final look of our shower. I highly recommend using them!

My brother recommended Santa Cruz remodeling to me and they gave me a great price compared to other contractors I called. They didn’t try to sell me things I didn’t need for my kitchen and it looks amazing now. I always get compliments on my new countertop and cabinets.
