Freelite did an outstanding job at our home; we needed more light in the study; they came out to assess the situation and together the decided on the size and the location. This also necessitated some roof work (this was a flat roof). Their subcontractors were each efficient, pleasant, and diligent. We've used Handyman Connection many times before the pandemic. They were very professional and the price was comparable to other licensed handyman around the valley.
A month ago we asked for a quote for solar string lights, ceiling light and cabinet installation. It came at around $1150 since the cabinet requires 2 men to lift it. Another handyman (albeit unlicensed) quoted us at $200, came and finished the job in less than 2 hours.
I can't imagine how a 1.5 hr job could cost $1150, even if it requires 2 men. That's more than $250 per hour per man.
My advice is to double check the quote these guys give you. There is some price-gauging going on.
