Brian from Econolight was recommended on my Nextdoor app. I had a DIY mishap and blew out the electric for half my house. He got someone over around my schedule, which I really appreciate. The job was done quickly and we'll, and a few other issues were fixed in the process. I found d the rate extremely reasonable. Brian texted to follow up and make sure all had gone well. My job was tiny, yet meant a lot to me. This kind of service is hard to find these days and is much appreciated.

Colin came to install a bathroom vent fan. Very professional and competent. Colin returns to do 2nd fan install but must first find a unit to fit size constraints. Also, to return to re-install de-icing cables. Enjoyable experience with Colin! Thank you

Penguin came to my house to give me a quote on installing a new outlet in my garage for a treadmill. They quoted me right under $700 for the outlet. I previously had an outlet installed for the same reason 5 months prior in a different home and I was only charged $330. That included replacing a blown circuit and running electrical through the attic and to the opposite side of the garage from the panel. The outlet that I needed Penguin to install was on the same wall as my electrical box and maybe needed 2 ft of wire. I asked why it was so expensive and was told because the wire was really expensive. I said I’ll pass on the installation if that’s the case. I was then told they could give me a 15% discount which I also declined because the total was still too high. So I paid $69 for the bad quote and they left. After discussing it with my husband later that night, I decided to call Penguin back and see why it cost so much for 2 ft of wire. They proceeded to say that included the driving fee to our house in Phoenix, and said once again wire was expensive. I simply responded with ok thank you for the explanation and hung up. They called me back about 10 min later and said they emailed me a new quote. The new quote was in the mid $400s. At this point, I was confused because I’ve never had an electrician try to bargain with me so much. I ended up having a different electrician come the next day, he looked at the situation and said, oh this is easy and won’t be a problem. He was done in 10 minutes and charged me $140. So of course, I called Penguin back and asked for the manager to return my call because at this point I was mad and felt like I was being taken advantage of. Not to mention that I paid $69 for a rip off quote that changed 3 times in less than 24hrs. I simply wanted a refund because I was given an unrealistic quote and was lied to. Of course I never received a call back. I’m not saying that this is a normal scenario for this company but it was my scenario and I was highly disappointed in their customer service.Update:I did receive a call from one of their managers and she was very polite and took care of the situation by explaining exactly what I was being billed for and refunding my $69. I appreciated her taking the time to reach out to me and listen to my story. In response to the written response of my original comment on here, I’d like to restate that I only asked for an outlet in my garage. I never once asked for any of those other items. In fact when the manager told me about the other items, I was confused because I never asked for anything but an outlet for my garage. I know it shows 3 items on your side but one of the offers I received showed 2 items not 3, one of which I never asked for (indoor outlet). That would have required the electrician to come inside my house which never once happened while he was here. Sounds like their was some miscommunication. I apologize for stating right under $700 when it was $640. All quotes were $640, $540, $437.80. Nonetheless, it was taken care of and I appreciate your manager reaching out to me and providing great customer service.

If there was a zero star this company would get it. We hired Rick to do the electrical on a remodel. He said him and his son would be performing the work themselves. Ricks initial quote for the job doubled once he began the project. Rick hired the work out. We failed the inspection because his guy buried live wires in the wall, left live wires buried in the ceiling and did a very poor job. Magnum Electric is a scam. He shouldn't be in business. Beware. He is a good salesman but will leave the job incomplete with the homeowner scrambling to fix his mess.

Prompt service, stuck to quote, did a professional job, showed up right on time. The job was tricky due to the fact the door frame was not square, so gaps in the frame. Rob took the time to trim it up (trip to Home Depot) and make it look good once it was adjusted. He kept me informed every step of the way. Nice clean job

I had the great pleasure of working with Hernandez Companies on several occasions. My business lost all power, and they worked all weekend to restore it. If I hadn't contacted Hernandez for that issue, it's hard to say what business would have been like come Monday! I was assured around each phase! They are amazing! I would recommend Hernandez Companies for all electric, plumbing, and construction work. Thank you Hernandez!
