Best General Repairs in Austin TX

I almost paid $7k+ for nothing!!!After a thunderstorm, the house lost electricity in a couple of rooms. So I called Mr. Electric. The company scheduled a free diagnosis on Monday but was able to send someone on Friday (this is good). After his diagnosis, the technician told me the main breaker panel and the sub-panel both need to be replaced, and so were the seven smoke detectors and four GFCI outlets, and quoted me a price of $7k-8k!!!Good thing I didn't do it! I called Grayzer Electric for another opinion and they suggested that if it's the same breaker for both rooms I'll probably need to have the breaker fixed, but if it's different breakers, then probably there's nothing an electrician can do and maybe it's an issue on the electricity supplier's side.Guess what? After contacting the electricity provider, everything was fixed the next morning! For Free!I do not understand how a certified professional can be so off; I can only guess that they are trying to scamming me for not knowing!And the electrician left the breaker panel open (I had to call again to have him come back to close it off).

This company is great! Especially Max! They are professional and reasonably priced.

We had a really good experience with Max Electrical Services. They return calls and show up when they say they will. On the scheduled day the owner/supervisor arrived with a two man team. He made sure that we were all clear on the placement of lights and a fan. At that time he left and the two technicians took over. They really worked well together and completed the job with a minimum of drywall cutting. We were really impressed with their work ethic and attention to detail. Other companies could learn a thing or two from Max Electrical Services on how to conduct a business.

The tech that came out to survey my project and make a bid was really nice and I would have been happy to go with them. However, the person that sent me the bid and then responded to my emails was rude and never got back to me. I paid $100 for the consult and estimate and then had a question because the bid only included one outlet and I needed two. I was told that the bid was verbatim what the tech had said. I replied that that is fine, and I am happy to pay more for an additional outlet but never heard back. I thought with a $100 fee just to get a bid that I would get better costumer service, but apparently not. :(

Two fuses kept tripping in a fairly new panel and the problem was fixed in less than 20 min. Friendly guys too.

Called about a GFCI plug that kept tripping. The electrician was able to help resolve the issue over the phone at no cost to me. He also offered some suggestions for improvements to get our home up to code. Decided to book them to come out and look at some other electrical work we've been putting off in addition to the suggestions for code improvements. Really appreciated their help getting our stuff working again without charging.

Friendly customer service, but the electrician never showed up. Called and received a refund...

At our new house, we needed to install and repair a number of things. I'm very glad I came across this business. They arrived on time, were courteous, and got the job done promptly. I'll unquestionably hire them once more for any installations or repairs.

Dylan, Mark, and Miguel came out to replace our electrical panel, fix up some junction boxes, do some rewiring, installed a few ceiling fans, removed a bunch of old home security equipment, and replaced all outlets and switches in the whole house. From beginning to end their service was friendly, professional, clean, and communicative. I was super impressed with the whole team but Dylan was our main point of contact. He listened to my long list of requests and even made sure that we inspected all the work. Far and away, Bowne electric has been the best electrical contractor I have used. From large projects to a simple check on an electrical short circuit, they have by far been one of the most professional and prompt contractors that I know of. When they say that they will show up at 0800 on a particular day, they will show up either on the dot or before 0800. They have demonstrated again and again that they hire very competent, professional, and courteous employees. I highly recommend them, and I will continue being a repeat customer should I need any electrical work in the future.

Everything I asked about, even if it had nothing to do with the project, was answered in detail. Extremely satisfied with the quality of care received.
