Best Water Heater Installation And Replacement in Austin TX
Max and Zach did a great job installing an EV charger. It wasn’t as easy job and they figured it out for us. Would recommend them to friends.

I called Dunman on Tuesday 9/11/18 to get a quote for installing two ceiling fans I had purchased. Both my mother and brother used them around 6 years ago so I didn't even think to look them up online first - this was my first mistake. The receptionist, Becky, was incredibly nice and told me that they charge $95 per fan if there is already existing blocking, or $120 per fan if there is no blocking. This seemed like a reasonable price, so I scheduled the installation for 9/14/18 and was very pleased they were able to fit me in so quickly. My second mistake was not getting these prices in writing.I scheduled the time frame for 10am-12pm because I have two roommates that work late and sleep in, but I got a call at 9 am that the technicians would be there in 15 minutes. They were at the house 5 minutes later. Thankfully, my roommate woke up to my call to let them in and my parents were able to get to the house quickly to meet them. It was a bit stressful and I had spend 15 minutes of work time dealing with it, but I let it go because I know these things happen. Then, when the technicians started they did not place any sort of plastic down under the first fan so my roommate's bed, dressers, and floor was COVERED in insulation (which had fiberglass in it) and drywall dust. They shook out her comforter and vacuumed the floor when they were done, but they still left a huge mess and we had to to a much more extensive cleaning later before she could sleep that night.Next, there was an issue with the fan blades. The fan blades had two sides with different colors. They installed them black side down without asking which color we preferred. This was partially our mistake for not making clear which side to do before they started, but when asked to flip them they said, Well I picked the black side because it matched the furniture. It is not a technician's job to decide which color blade looks better in someone else's house. He then said it would be another $80 to flip the blades. This was quite annoying but, again, I just let it go and figured I would just figure out how to flip them later. But then came time to pay. They finished and said the total was $569.That is well over double the price I was told. They said they charged $170/hour, it took 3 hours, and there was an extra fee because I had not had any blocking for the fans. Unfortunately, my mom did not realize what they had quoted me and filled out a blank check I had left. They also left their ladder in the garage, as well as the old lights and trash from the ceiling fan packaging in piles in the rooms.I was still at work but I immediately called back the office and relayed everything that had happened to the receptionist to figure out what was going on. She told me she would pass my complaints on to a manager, who would get in contact with me after she talked to the technicians. I called back after an hour of not hearing from them. The receptionist informed me my case had been escalated to the owner and he would get in contact with me, however he was at an electrical emergency and it may not be until later that afternoon before I heard from him. I never heard from him. At this point I put a stop payment on the check so it would not be cashed before I had a chance to talk to Craig.I had to call them back myself Monday. When I finally got in touch with him he informed me that while, yes, his receptionist had told me $120 per fan, the lowest he would go for the service was $450. $125 per fan installation plus $100 per fan for the blocking.I would strongly advise anyone looking for an electrician to look elsewhere. There are plenty of honest companies in Austin. If you insist on using Dunman, make sure you get everything in writing. In the end, I agreed to this price to just get all of this behind me and to keep from missing any more work, not because I thought it was fair or just. I truly hope Craig and everyone else at Dunman learns from this experience and starts treating their customers like fellow human beings.

I recommended this company to simply hook up to sauna heaters which was just a matter of reconnecting them as they had been previously installed and disconnected for a maintenance procedure. What should have taken 2 hours max cost my client over $800.00. A reasonable charge would have been closer to $350.00. Bryant claims they have to charge this much to pay their people. They evidently weren't qualified to do the job efficiently and then gigged my customer. I will never refer Bryant Electric to my customers again. Keep Austin Wired is their saying but I'd leave it to someone else next time.

I had a under the slab water break and Abacus Plumbing fixed it for me in early July this year. Their techs and work were great and the job was completed in 2 days as promised. I was told that Abacus would contact me regarding inspection from the city. As of to date (August 12, 2022), I have yet to receive and communication from Abacus although I called them up twice about the inspection. Their response each time was I'll send a note to the person responsible who will contact you shortly. I give them 2 stars (average of 5 stars for good work and minus one (-1) star for never getting back to me). I can't get a contractor to patch up the 41 holes in the ceiling and wall without city inspection and approval. It really sucks!!!

These guys are awesome! 5 stars isn't enough. I will call them first for any future electrician needs at the business and at my own home. They went above and beyond during the unprecedented winter storms in Texas When we were the only business in the area that that still didnt have power, when it was restored to everyone else around us, after 2 days of straight brown out - I knew we had an isolated issue at our property. Mind you it was after 9pm, and I knew it wasn't a rolling black out issue (our meter was on) but no power at all in this large 3 story building. I called a dozen electricians and all were either no answer or told me it would be days before some one would come. Already feeling defeated, I looked one more time on google and found Morningstar Light & Electric and decided to call. Natalie promptly answered my call, I explained my situation, and after a brief hold she told me some one was on their way. Sure enough Ken showed up through the miserable driving conditions and walked and talked with me for over an hour and got our power back on. He answered all of my questions and showed me step by step what I could do it something similar happens again(I would have never figured it out - with all the knobs, buttons, levers on this commercial main disconnect). From the first phone call to them I didnt even ask about what their charges, rates, or emergency after hour fees would be- I was just glad to have a professional come out and help me . I told Ken and Natalie to contact me directly the next day and Ill take care of the invoice my self. A couple of days go by and Natalie calls me to tell me that Morningstar Electric is not going to charge us a dime!Electrician Ken and Morningstar Electric came out here in the middle of the night during an ice/snow storm that Texas has never seen before and gave light and heat to all the people stuck here! WITH NO CHARGE!

I worked with 1st Home & Commercial Services to do inspections on my home prior to purchasing it, and it was a no brainer that I wanted to hire them to fully replace my HVAC and disposal. Communication with Axel has been seamless throughout the whole process, and the HVAC install was yesterday—everything went smoothly! Darius, Michael, Branden, Olen and Westin came out for install of the HVAC and disposal yesterday, and they were super courteous, efficient, and knowledgeable. I will call 1st Home & Commercial from here on out for anything I need in the future!

We have used fox for plumbing, electrical and ac for years and are very happy. In this specific instance we had a fairly minor sink pipe repair. We were disappointed that it took two weeks to get an appointment. But we were very pleased with the plumber who came. He was friendly, attentive, skilled and efficient.

We were rescheduled again and again by another plumbing company so I asked for a referral at my neighborhood Home Depot. I had a call back in 15 minutes and set an appointment for the next morning. John Medina, the sales rep was there at 9 am and he answered every questions I had so my decision was well informed. I ordered the water heater at Home Depot and the installer picked it up on the way to our house. Pete Lindeman did the install and he pointed out a lot of problems with the old configuration. After the install he walked me thru how he addressed each one. He did very precise work and the end result looked great! We were online by 4:30 pm! These guys are PROS and I AM going to use them next time and I recommend you give them a call!

About a month I started shopping to get EV charger install in my garage. I sent request to multiple companies and Smart Charge offer me the most fair price. And yesterday, Damir and Kevin came to install the charger. They were very professional and installed the charger in less than 2 hours. I was amazed by the quality of their work. If anyone out there needs to install the EV charger, I recommend Smart Charge America 100%.
