Efficient AC, Electric & Plumbing

Overall I'm giving a 4 star review. And I'll try to be quick without all the details. The salesman gave me an honest accesment on exactly what I needed. I still think it was too expensive after getting 3 different quotes. But this one was the best. My unit was installed in the same day I was quoted which was great. Problem came when the unit stopped working because the drip pan sensor shut down the unit 20 hours after the installation. There was to much water in the pan. That's a great feature by the way. I was upset because the night of the installation they had trouble with it and said they fixed it. The drain was clogged and they didn't clear it out properly. But they fixed the problem within 48 hours and I now have a new A/C and Heating system. Thank you Efficient Air.

Electric went out in master bedroom, bathroom and one wall of trailer. They sent a technician out the morning I called. Steve was able to locate the problem: main wire UNDER the trailer had come loose and the plug had corroded. He changed out the plug and restored the power!! He did a great job! He was very helpful, kind, professional and a pleasure to work with! I highly recommend Effective AC, Electric and Plumbing! A++

I called 7 HVAC companies that claimed emergency service on Christmas Eve and only 2 got back to me and only one actually had someone available. Clint was awesome, he was still working at 7 pm and with the conditions he definitely saved a lot of Christmases ?. THANK YOU Clint! He was polite, proactive, honest and available when he said he would be. I can't tell you how much I appreciated it. AND he was able to fix the problem, thank goodness!

I've been trying to get them to solve an electrical issue at my location for over 6 months. They could not and they said they would send me the contact information for Eaton who could. Still have not heard back from them after several follow ups. Looking to cancel my HVAC PM agreement with them because the service is no good. Always nice people but they just can't get the job done correctly.

UPDATE: 6/2022 These guys - Nick and Evan - straight up heroes!! Our 20+ year old upstairs AC unit finally quit at the beginning of this horrendous heat wave, and these guys came out and crawled up into our tiny attic, got the big old unit out, installed the new unit and furnace when it was already 98° and got it done in one day. They were courteous and efficient and saved our lives ?We have had the best service from Efficient. We have called on them over the past 10 years and have been lucky enough to work with Ernest Rodriguez, who has been with the company for 13 years and is a true gem. They are very responsive, professional, honest and get the job done without charging an arm and a leg.

John is a qualified professional who assisted me with a much needed repair in my home’s master bedroom bathroom. He was extremely efficient and easy on the eyes. Might break the outlet again just to get him back out here ?

They installed two new bathroom lights/exhaust fans. I called on Tuesday and they were able to come on my requested day on Friday to complete the work. They called in advance, arrived promptly, got the work done and it was all super easy! Definitely will call again for future projects

Great company, gave me a price, came out and swapped my Water Heater, no extra BS on inspections or extra pricing or anything, in and out in under two hours! Love these guys! Go ahead and shop other companies but this is the one you will go with!

Mini split system purchase and install.Installers were unpleasant and would not straiten the clearly unlevel indoor unit of system on wall even after I asked them to.Rather than use a proper base to put outdoor unit on they dug up some of our garden bricks and used them under the unit.Install is janky and unprofessional.I have requested the indoor unit be leveled by a different installer.I have used Efficient in the past so very surprised and disappointed.

Will definitely work with them again - we had a lot of electrical work done and John was really knowledgeable, friendly, and happy to explain everything. They did a great job - very trustworthy!!

Efficient was friendly, fast and their estimates best everyone else by a couple thousand dollars. They also registered the warranty and applied for the city rebate for us.

The project was over a year ago and I still cannot pass inspection. They have stopped responding. The job site was very messy, and installers did not seem qualified to be working with electrical. I had to wire some of the installation for them (I moved to 2-stage cooling electrical which required running new control wires). The sales side was a great experience, but everything afterwards was far below expectations.

Our A/C was in need of a checkup and preventative maintenance. The HVAC tech looked the system over thoroughly in side and out and determined the well-being of the system and those things that required maintenance at the time. The tech who's name is Clint was on the ball and professional and very informative. Thank you Efficient for the timely manner in which you came out and got the job done. Peace be with you.

I submitted a form on their website over the weekend, looking for a consultation on a full system and ductwork replacement. I received a call back first thing the following Monday from Brian (good so far!), and set an appointment with Brian for him to come by that following Thursday between 10 and 12.Brian did not show up for the appointment. I have received no follow-up call explaining the oversight, no email contact, no request to reschedule, no excuses for unexpected delays, nothing.One star for the initial responsiveness, but that's the lowest Google will allow me to give, frankly.First impressions are critical, and they completely failed with this one. At this point, even if they reached out to reschedule, I don't think I could trust that they'd show up to the next one, or install a new system on time, or do the quality of work that they say they will. Trust is broken and I would actively suggest you look elsewhere for your home or business mechanical service needs.I understand businesses are busy right now. All it would have taken was a quick call/text/email to ask to reschedule when Brian saw he wasn't going to be able to make the appointment. Instead, by completely wasting a potential customer's time like this, it's clear that Brian and Efficient AC, Electric & Plumbing are not interested in any new customers.

We scheduled to have our old tank water heaters replaced by a single tankless water heater. Dallas and his crew showed up and explained their plan, and the whole process went smoothly. They were very professional and kept everything clean. They finished on time. They were patient with me and answered all of my questions, We had zero problems during the install and everything is working as expected. I will be using them for scheduled maintenance, and I would use them again for any future work.

I contacted Efficient when we were looking to replace our current heat pump, their staff was extremely helpful and responsive. The installation crew was on time, and completed all of the work in under 5 hours, they put down protective mats inside my home and removed all of their waste.The only issue we had was when they removed the original outdoor unit was that it was dropped onto our wooden deck which resulted in some scrapes and large scratches.I would recommend using Efficient in the future.

My heater wasn't working. The man quickly checked the unit out and saw that the pilot light was off and turned it on. Always happy with Efficient Air for major and small jobs.

I have used Efficient Air a couple of times for issues with our HVAC, because they provide high quality at a relatively economical price. Arthur was our technician and he is one of the most professional and knowledgeable techs we’ve had. He fixed a problem that no one else could diagnose. I highly recommend their services.

Called Efficient to take a look after brownouts caused our AC to misbehave. Ben was quick to make after-hours contact and set our visit and when he arrived, he was professional and worked hard to quickly assess things.Ben's input helped us correct a few minor issues and he was able to get things back online in no time.Great experience with the Efficient team!!!

We moved into a new house and needed a breaker replaced in order for the hot water heater to work. Started making calls at 3:30pm and called over 15 places before I spoke with Efficient. They not only answered the phone unlike many others I tried but were extremely helpful, communicative, and had someone out there in under 30 minutes. They replaced the breaker and I couldn’t have been happier with the service. The electrician was very friendly and professional. Will absolutely use them again!

This is at least the 2nd time we've dealt with Efficient Air Conditioning & Electric and our tech Jeff. Great service! Very thorough and informative. He gave us multiple options and left out the hard sell. They and he are definitely on the top of our call back list.

The tech, Ross, that came out was great. Fast, efficient, friendly, knowledgeable. He's the only reason this place gets more than 1 star (and I would evaluate him separately as 5 stars).But I was charged $385 for a capacitor, which is a $15 dollar part -- a price I'm sure the company sets, not the tech. (And that's JUST the charge for the part, not the service fee.) Which in my book is straight up theft - and exploitative of their customer base. It's unlikely I'll ever use Efficient again. I hope Ross somehow received the lion's share of that ridiculous markup.

Arthur goes above and beyond any time we call him for service. We now specifically request him for all of our jobs. The Efficient Team of experienced professionals are awesome! I’ve engaged them for HVAC repairs and, most recently, their plumbing team (eg Feb 2021 freeze and broken pipe and Dec 2021 plumbing leaks). I highly recommend Efficient and would not consider any other service. Call them, you’ll be glad you did and very pleased with their fair pricing and quality services.

James B and Arthur T were outstanding to work with. I worked with James via phone and he was very friendly and helpful. Arthur came onsite and was really great- very professional, friendly, communicative of what he was doing and with updates. Normally, I'd check a service company's work before they leave my place but I didn't get a chance. When I did take a look at it a few days later, he'd replaced some hoses that were all beat up, too, which I was very happy about. While I was told by another company my part was under warranty, it wasn't actually under warranty and I had to replace the whole unit which wasn't fun but Arthur was able to complete the work the same day. All in all, I would absolutely use Efficient AC again. Thank you, Arthur and James. ?

Called Efficient because we were having issues with our AC blowing only hot air even when we had our thermostat set to cool. Setting up the technician visit was very easy and all the dispatch people were pleasant and efficient. When the technician arrived, he seemed to know the general cause of the issue but needed to call another technician to come help fix the issue. Once the other person arrived, they were both able to understand the issue fully and apply the fix - which ended up being simply replacing my Nest thermostat with a basic Honeywell one. When I got a call from the technician explaining the fix, the other technician relayed that this is a common problem with WiFi thermostats, we see it all the time... Even though in the end all that was needed was to replace the thermostat, the bill came to $850, which was apparently mostly contributing of labor cost. If the issue was common for my type of thermostat and it's seen all the time, why did I pay such high labor to have two separate technicians come out? I think the price was a little ridiculous considering the fix was also done in a couple hours and involved no work to the main A/C unit.

We have exclusively used Efficient for our AC needs for years. When most of our faucets became difficult to use, we decided to try the plumbing department at Efficient. Alan was friendly and professional (even wearing boot covers to protect our floors). He diagnosed the problem and even though it wasn’t what we wanted to hear (our faucet handles were stripped and we needed new ones), Alan helped to guide us through the next steps. He was so knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. Alan was also super responsive to messages and calls and cared about making sure we were happy with the job that was done. Cody and Pablo assisted Alan, as we had four faucet sets that were being installed, and they were both professional and friendly. We now have four beautiful faucet sets installed that are working beautifully and bring a smile to our faces everyday!Efficient even has a one year warranty on labor and we know we are in the best hands with Efficient should anything go wrong- they go above and beyond to make sure you are happy with the work that they do. AC went out in the middle of July. Called Efficient and they were out the same day. Bobby was awesome. He needs all the Slushees you can buy him! A part was needed to fix the issue, but Bobby was back at 730am the next day with the part. 30 mins later, I have AC again! I highly recommend this company.

I chose Efficient AC, Electric, & Plumbing because of the excellent experience with their installation specialist, Ernest. The quote I received was reasonable. Full disclosure is that I did have installation issues. I tried to be patient and let them learn from their mistakes.8/24/21 - I hate to write this update eight months later. I have found out today my system was not installed correctly. I have had two other companies do an assessment this week. They were shocked at how poorly the install was. Efficient AC, Electric, & Plumbing doesn't follow code and how to follow standards when installing new systems and running ducts. I will be writing a BBB review and going through the process to recoup the money and pain I've had to go through. It is going to cost me 6 thousand dollars to replace the ductwork they failed to install correctly. I have given Efficient AC 6 attempts since the start of the installation the repair their mistakes. I am not an AC expert and was taken advantage of. The supply plenum is supposed to be 8 ft and it's only about 5ft. I have major air leaks in all the duct work and one duct that was completely in half. All runs are tied together with duct tape.

Our service electrician John Padre was fast, efficient and very knowledgeable and friendly. He gets a five-star ***** rating for sure! John replaced the broken 50amp circuit breaker at the outdoor sub-panel and in minutes had the A/C blowing cold air on first and second floors! Service call was surprisingly affordable—will definitely use Efficient from now on for all our service needs, and recommend them with confidence to friends and family.

John was very professional and friendly. He arrived very early to take care of an urgent need as we were without power. He did a very high quality job and took the time to answer my questions. Also, he provided status updates and estimates on when the job would be completed. I would highly recommend Efficient as they provide prompt, professional service. 5 stars!

I highly recommend Efficient! I bought an electric vehicle and needed an outlet installed to charge it at home. All of our electric panels were full so Efficient had to install a new electric panel.as well as the outlet. Efficient was fantastic to work with! They were able to get me on their schedule really quickly, they arrived when they said they would, thoroughly and efficiently figured out how to install exactly what I needed and didn’t try to sell me more than I needed. It’ was great to work with such a trustworthy business . The entire process was stress-free The finished work was fantastic and I couldn’t be happier with it!

Very impressed with Efficient. They scheduled me in for an electrician at short notice. John was fantastic. Professional, patient and incredibly helpful. Great experience and will use them again in a second. In fact, it was so good I booked HVAC installation with them a week later. Brian walked me through all the options with great patience and Tony and Tomas, the installers, did fantastic work. They worked late and did a really great job. I wanted my furnace closet modified tor reduce the sound and Efficient sent out a separate technician Randy who was wonderfully helpful. The whole process from start to finish was great. If you want an electrician or an HVAC specialist, I highly recommend Efficient.

We're very happy with the work/service provided by Efficient. Our System Specialist Brian Moran was super helpful , quick to respond and thorough. Efficient helps me with HVAC, electrical, and plumbing. Today the plumber came out at took care of routine maintenance. He took the time to explain a number of things which put my mind at ease. Very happy!

We have used Efficient for our heating and A/C service for years. A power surge recently took out our system. James Sanchez arrived and provided service above and beyond expectations in repairing our system. He was courteous, informative, kept us informed as to all aspects of his progress. we are very appreciative of all that he did for us.

I started a maintenance contract with this company 5 yrs ago after replacing the HVAC units in my duplex. That pays for them to inspect & maintain every spring & fall plus 10% off needed services. TBH I only intended to keep this plan long enough for the discount on a sizeable job reworking the electric feed on one unit but having priced what it costs for just the yearly tune-up, and seeing how much i saved on freon the one time they found a leak, I've decided to keep it going. With 1 exception, they have always gotten to us quickly even in the busy summer and prices seem fair for the local industry. That exception is why I took off 1 star, which I may revise later. They forgot to auto renew my account last fall & failed to return my call for furnace tuneup, apparently due to major personnel change like so many businesses have been going through. If they had to drop the ball, definitely better before a mild winter than before summer. ? They were quick to respond this spring, efficiently tuning & cleaning both AC units, even though the condensate line was pretty well clogged on my tenant's side. Everyone has always been friendly & professional, taking appropriate health precautions according to the time they visited. Hopefully the staffing is steady now & they'll start calling me to schedule the maintenance visits, bc taking that task off my to-do list is part of the perk of getting the contract.

Our experience with Efficient AC was great. They were able to come out in short time and work with us on finding the best solution for our needs which included a new AC unit and ductless mini split for our loft. The install process was done very professionally and everyone we worked with with efficient air conditioning was pleasant to work with.

So I went from Iceland ?? to Hotland ?. I came home on Wednesday night at 10:30pm to my AC no longer working. When I called Efficient AC at first, they said I would have to wait until Tuesday for a tech to come. I was persistent and pleaded with them as a single mom to a 4 year old. They put me on call for Friday. This was after they had a tech misdiagnose the problem on Monday.Luckily, they hooked me up with an elite tech, Ernest. He was patient, thorough and included me as his assistant in the diagnostic process. They did a new AC system in our garage apartment last year and then showed up within 2 hrs of calling for a repair and did a line flush on our house AC. The tech James was courteous, fast and a great communicator. They have my business from now on!

I’ve worked with Arthur and Robert at Efficient for two different calls, both came quickly for after hours service, were really friendly and helpful. Arthur explained what he was doing to test and correct the system issue. When Robert came it was just that our condenser was really dirty and quit running, he worked quickly to get us back up and running but also explained to me what he was doing and the usual maintenance needs, which was really helpful as a first time home owner. Efficient is my go to.

Needed a replacement for a vent that caught fire in bathroom. Quickly came in and changed the fan, provided an assessment of electrical being in good shape, and priced all the work at a reasonable rate. Would recommend!

My technician Wes, was courteous and very knowledgeable. He took time to not only educate me on my current situation but was willing to answer other pluming & HVAC questions that I had as well. John came in to assess the wiring in an older home. He made recommendations, was clear on the cost and delivered true to his word. He even took a few last minute add-ons to the work request with a great attitude and knocked them out in the same trip. Great experience working with this company--will definitely use them again.

Had a leak on the t joint that connected my water main to my irrigation system. They were able to come out same day and fix it for me pretty quickly. The guys were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend

I first reached out to Efficient Plumbing last winter (after reading their online reviews) when I had to get a new gas heater installed. The guys were reasonable, professional, courteous and punctual. Then, this year I got my evap serviced and my split system installed and the experience was great again. They even cleaned up after they were done, it was like they were never there.Don't remember the names of the guys in their who installed the heater or would have written their names as well. James, Kirsten and Tyson were all great when they were here a few weeks back doing the service and install. And not to forget, Kudos to your team members who installed the gas heating last year.Keep it up Michael & team.

John was FANTASTIC! I had troubles installing a new fan in a bedroom. Installed one everywhere else in the house just fine but this one room was not working out. Had a handyman come out and he couldn’t figure it out either. Explained everything to John. Told him I’d be at my computer if he needed me and literally just as I had sat down, he said he knew what the issue was. He explained in details to me (because I’m a nerd) what was going on and how things were supposed to work. (Original electrician who installed cut corners) And John had it up and running super quickly! Definitely will call back in the future and refer to clients of mine for work. Very well priced. Especially compared to SALT…. THANKS JOHN!! (John deserves the cake ?)

Got same day service when so many places said they were booked weeks out. John was great, very professional, clean and safe. Took him less than 20 minutes to replace my fan. Highly recommend, I will definitely use them again for any home electrical needs.

John came over to repair a wire that I had drilled into (and lost power to most of the garage and kitchen) while trying to find the studs to install a cabinet. He was very helpful in listening to my concerns, answering my questions, and providing solutions to fix the issue and even marked the studs out for me. He was professional and cared about the work (even as a smaller job)...qualities that seem to becoming harder to find these days. I felt very confident with him and would absolutely use and recommend Efficient for future electrical projects.

I had Efficient out to my house to see about possibly putting a split unit AC into our upstairs game room because that room tends to be the hottest in the house. Rather than sell me that unit for several thousand dollars, the Efficient team made a suggestion for a way to make our existing airflow work better to fix the problem for much less money. They suggested we do that first and only if we didn't think it was enough improvement - then explore the split unit AC. I really appreciate them helping us find the best (and most cost effective) solution rather than just selling us an expensive unit that we may not even need. That experience was so good that I plan to use Efficient for all my AC, electric and plumbing needs going forward!

I have used Efficient for plumbing issues, install new AC thermostat and install new kitchen and bathroom light fixtures. They were excellent in all three categories. Always on time. Extremely professional and polite and their work is exemplary! I would highly recommend them for your service needs

First, I would like to say that I would recommend Efficient for anyone who is having a new AC system installed. They installed my inside/outside combo unit quickly and did a great job, at what I feel is a fair price, which is why I gave 2 stars instead of 1. It is post install where you should look elsewhere, and why I took 3 stars off my review.I called Efficient because the same unit they installed stopped blowing cold air. The tech charged a $99 diagnostic fee, which I understand. This is pretty normal. Then he told me he needed to replace a capacitor (which was covered by warranty) and the labor would be $360. I told him to go ahead, having no idea how long that would take. Almost exactly 15 minutes later the tech calls me saying he is done, and needs my credit card info. 15 MINUTES later...I asked why $360 if it only took 15 minutes, and he told me they work off a flat rate, not hourly. This is where I have an issue. If this job had taken 2-3 hours, I would get that rate. But charging customers $360 for a 15 minute repair is outrageous.I also get that it was an after hours repair, which has a higher charge. And I am fine with paying a premium for service on the weekend. But this is beyond any reasonable price in my opinion. Even during regular hours the tech said it would be $240 for the same job. That is still $960/hr., which is an extremely terrible value.They say they use a rate to keep prices consistent for all of their customers, but that doesn't add up. The charge to me works out to $1,440 /hr. Someone who has a 3 hour repair would pay $120/hr. So how exactly does that make it consistent for all customers? All this shows me is that the price is consistently horrible for any customers with a quick repair. So in conclusion, this was probably the least value of any service I have ever received.

This morning my tenants reported loss of power to some lights and outlets in the home. I went over to try to solve the problem and couldn’t figure it out. I called Efficient and luckily they had an opening and within an hour John arrived. He was really nice and professional and communicated really well. He located the loose wires in an outlet and fixed the problem quickly. Thanks for the fast and friendly service !

It would not be possible to leave Alan and the team at Efficient AC a better review. My water heater went out as a result of the 2021 winter storms. Other plumbers in town either wouldn’t return my call, or simply offered to install a brand new system for $4k without even attempting to diagnose our tankless water heater. Alan was the exact opposite. He came over, diagnosed the problem, and ordered the correct part, and installed it for a total of $350. He was very thorough in his communication. However, what set Alan apart was his dedication to customer service. We had been without hot water for three weeks (with a newborn and a toddler). Alan noticed our difficult situation, and said as soon as the part came in, he would come over to repair the system, after hours if necessary. Sure enough, that’s what he did. I give Alan and Efficient AC my highest recommendation. - Kirk and Caroline

Ross came out on short notice Christmas Day to fix a capacitor on our unit. He was here and fixed our unit within an hour and a half. Would highly recommend! Great job!

I'm really happy with this company. I usually dread working with contractors but this was a great experience. They had availability the very next day, came out on time and repaired the problem in less than an hour. Very reasonably priced as well. Will definitely use again for any electrical needs.

Arthur was my technician on a Tuesday in late July, called ahead to let me know he was on the way, arrived promptly, and was very helpful in assessing my HVAC unit. I felt well taken care of and feel confident in the job performed and would definitely use Efficient AC again. The office staff was courteous and returned my call quickly, and an appt was made for the next day.Service call was $99.00 in 2020

This is an edit of my original review. Although, the tech who showed up did show up on time and performed a small task of replacing an outlet on the outside of the older building, I was told we would be given estimates for work needed in 1 apartment and to have the multiple breaker panels replaced on the building. I have called and spoken with James who said, we really don't do much with those old wall unit heaters anymore but I will get back to you the week of the 13th. Never heard anything back. I also called the master electrician leaving 2 messages on Kelly's voice-mail.... no response. If you don't want to do the job... at least have the professional ethic to admit to it. I'm so thankful I call Efficient AC - I was able to reach out to Robert on a Friday at 11pm, to come see why our AC had stopped working. He arrived at the house within 45 minutes, and got to work right away. He was able to clear our drain line and got our AC back to working conditions, until we are able to reach out to our home warranty company. Robert did an amazing job even though it was late into the night. Really appreciate his help!

We were about 2 months without air after our Bosch geothermal unit broke, and the original installer went MIA. Efficient Air’s team rescued us. Can’t say enough good about their team, especially Ross Donohoe, Earnest and James, the service mgr. Looks like we’re not going to freeze this winter after all.

We recommend this company to everyone with an A/C project or problems. They’ve worked on both of our units including replacing them when it was time. Our sales rep was a straight shooter, asking about our goals (how long we were staying, how cool we liked it) and telling us what we needed. He didn’t try to sell us something that was not going to satisfy us. The management offers a competitive price on very high quality equipment. They work from residential to industrial, l gaining the experience to know what might make things better for your environment. Customer Services means everything to the Efficient Air Conditioning technicians. They respond promptly, work with us so we take as little time as possible from and are fast at trouble shooting. They will explain every step of the way or just do their job and leave, whichever you prefer. These guys work as a team, when the technician did have a problem, he called another more experienced technician and the problems were solved quickly. We also have an annual maintenance agreement; it has been worth the money. Efficient comes out twice a year and make sure everything is running at peak performance. It is well worth it to know that we won’t have any problems during the year. Highly recommended.

Dallas did an excellent job diagnosing and remedying an issue with my tankless water heater. He is a true professional who takes pride in his work.We recently had John come out for some electrical work after a storm blew through and a power surge hit the house. He is knowledgeable, friendly, and on time. We're planning on scheduling him to come out for some larger projects in the future and couldn't be more pleased with his work.

My repair person was knowledgeable and showed me everything he was doing and explained why. He quickly found the problem, fixed it promptly, and gave me information about how to maintain my system. Super satisfied. Part2. I did something to my system a couple years later and the guys were out promptly , figured out what I broke and got it running in 30 minutes. They also checked out the whole system just to make sure it was all ok.

Same day service from an outstanding AC technician. We spent literally 3 minutes in my driveway discussing symptoms and he already knew what part was needed. Another 10 minutes and he had the part out, tested to confirm the diagnosis and ready to install a new one. The price was fair and then discounted 15% because we signed up for the annual maintenance agreement. That said, there is one area of opportunity for improvement, calling them. They are not properly staffed in the office. It's not the person I spoke to, she was very pleasant while trying to manage too many calls. It's a management failure.

Our Air Conditioning was down--in July. I called late night and they were at our house the next morning. Ernest was my tech and he was excellent: courteous, respectful, quick, efficient, focused. He was a 10 on a 1 to 10. Kudos to him and those that trained him. This is an excellent company. I highly recommend it.

Came out and replaced some ductwork and installed dampers near the end of the winter. When we started using the AC, noticed that it wasn't cooling as well as we thought, so had another guy come. Made some adjustments and didn't charge us. Still had a problem and had another guy come out and he figured out the issues (clogged ac drain was causing the unit outside to shut off). They were responsive, friendly, and easy to work with. Good folks, especially James. James really took his time to figure things out and explained the issue. Happy to have found some people that seems to care about what they do and how they do it. High recommend.

I have used Efficient AC, Electric, and Plumbing twice and have had good experiences both times. On the first visit we had a issue that arose a few hours after the visit, but they dispatched a technician after hours to resolve the issue and the service manager worked with me on the billing side. Every person in the company has been polite and professional. I will definitely consider using them again.

Had Bobby come out from Efficient AC to perform a regular service of the HVAC, but also to help diagnose an issue we have been having with major bronchitis since September. He was able to identify outside air flow issues that was probably picking up a lot of the dust from Highway construction and other outside pollutants. Gave us some good practical solutions to help solve the problem. Very, very appreciative. Honest and practical.

This company came out within three hours of me calling and saying my AC was broken. They worked within my needed time frame and were both on time and on task! The two men that came out were very friendly and worked very well as a team to fix the problem. They assessed what was broken and had the piece on hand, so my AC was working in about two hours and was fixed at a reasonable price. I would absolutely call this company again for any AC or other needs since I felt the business is very well run and the employees mentioned being paid well and being happy with their jobs. Schedule a maintenance check for the summer and told them there has been a problem with the unit cooling in the afternoon when it is really hot and humid. They came out and did the service check and there was a hole/leak in one of the coils in the attic unit. They said it could be repaired but this is the original unit that came with the house and the repair would be costly and might only last a couple of years.. They said it really depended on how long I was planning on staying in my house and they also gave me different efficiency plans to choose from.. I liked that they gave me the different options. Needless to say I now have a new HVAC unit and I am very pleased. I would definitely recommend Efficient AC. My son has also used them to install a special AC/heating unit in the second story of their house and was very pleased with their work.

After 7 years I have found an electrician and a company who are responsive , on time , professional and priced correctly for the service rendered. So during the freeze I lost an outside breaker and a disconnect box . Not a big deal , but when I called the usual companies The answer was in the next month time frame . Well that wouldn’t get it because the impact was to my A/C . My neighbor recommended Efficient .......I called on day one. They came on day two ( and yep bad breaker and more ) and they returned Monday and all is well ( basically day three ) . John Padro is my guy and should be yours too !

My AC went out when 100 degrees outside (88 degrees inside). I called Efficient (great customer service upon initial call) and Arthur arrived on time (after normal business hours) and thoroughly diagnosed the system. The fan was shot and needed to be replaced. Rather than leave me with no AC the next day, he picked up the replacement at 6:30 am the next morning and returned to install; AC working great now! CALL Efficient and you will not be disappointed. Service and parts prices are very reasonable and they are completely transparent with all charges, too. Awesome company!!!

I had a great experience with Efficient AC. Their Senior HVACR Technician Robert recently did our fall tuneup on our two units. He was very friendly and knowledgeable, explaining things in detail and sharing tips on preventative maintenance between tuneups. He was very thorough and quickly fixed the one very minor issue he found. He was also considerate about our new carpet, happy to wear the little shoe covers on his way to and from our attic.After having had a bad experience with a different AC company, Efficient AC was a breath of fresh air, no pun intended. Their prices were very fair, and I'm signed up with them for my spring AC tuneup. I'm thrilled to have found an AC company I can rely on.

Our AC stopped worked at 7 PM on a weeknight. Bobby, our Technician, was prompt and professional, communicating each step and giving us estimates on when exactly he’d come and what to expect. The repair seemed costly (approximately $350 to replace the faulty breaker plus a $99 after hours charge), but we’re grateful it was taken care of quickly and with good service.

I called Efficient AC, Electric and Plumbing after the big freeze. Water was running across the ceiling and dripping into the room. They tested the water lines for leakage and found that there was not a leak in the lines. The water was caused by frozen gutters and not a pipe as I suspected. It was running from the outside wall to the center of the room. I appreciate the quick response! My tenants had turned off the main water to prevent any major damage. Because of this quick response, they were able to turn on the water which they had been without for several days. The next day Dallas sent me a picture of the problem. Their customer service is over the top. I was very pleased!

Efficient Air worked us into their tight schedule over the holiday weekend. The tech was very nice and helpful. They were honest and told us what we needed to do to repair our air conditioner. He even showed us what parts needed to be replaced. Although their repairs are expensive, their honesty is what keeps us returning customers

Update Spring 2022: Call these guys before it gets hot (and they get busy)!! Our 4yo units needed new capacitors. Eric Castle was amazing!!! We are ready for the heat! Had Spring cleaning and maintenance of units also completed. Will have them back for a Fall maintenance.Summer 2018 - One of our two 11yo AC condensers died. Efficient AC was able to get us a new unit with the specs we requested. Earnest and Arthur were on time and efficient. Three weeks later our second unit died. And once again, Efficient AC came to the rescue and provided us with the same support we needed.

Feel so fortunate to have picked Efficient Air off the authorized dealer list to install our Mitsubishi mini split. Everyone we dealt with was exceptional! From the first phone call to the install, everyone impressed. Ernest and his crew were the best. We know who we’ll call to replace our next unit and service our Central AC system in the future.

2 weeks ago our AC stopped working and Efficient came and replaced a coil, the very next week the heater would not turn on (only in Texas need both working at once) and they came back and quickly solved the problem with letting me know all of my options and giving me realistic expectations of the wear of our unit without me feeling like I was getting sold or pressured to replace it. Brian and Justin were very kind and helpful, I felt like they had my best interest in mind. And true to the name, they were efficient workers and our heater was back up and running again in no time! Will definitely be using them again when we have needs in the future.

I needed a new air conditioner. Because of the age of my system, Efficient advised me to also replace the furnace. With their exceptional warranty (10 years), competitive pricing and Carrier rebates, it made sense. I now have a variable speed furnace, an a/c system that I can tell it what humidity level I want and LOWER electric bills.Every contact with an employee of Efficient was outstanding. They were on time, knowledgeable, professional and cared about my issue. From the in home sales meeting, to the installation (including another person who came to check their work!), to registering my products and following up to see if I was happy - they exceeded every expectation.

I wanted to like the service of this company but have now had multiple bad experiences and cannot recommend them.We were scheduled and the tech didn't show. I was told we were somehow mistakenly taken off of the schedule. I called to reschedule once and they instead canceled my apt and didn't call me back.When we finally received service I'm assuming the tech did a good job, time will tell. Even though we were specifically put on the schedule for the same tech that did our diagnostic and were told we would receive a call 30 to 45 minutes prior to arrival, another tech showed up at the door without a call which was a surprise to say the least. As a final kicker, at the end of it all the cost was $500 more than what was explained to us!! Truly unfortunate experience.

Technician quickly determined the problem (2 electrical outlets not working). He then made the repairs and performed tests to ensure that everything was working properly. He was very good, quick and also offered to help with another issue before leaving. I am very satisfied with the work.

I've always been pleased with the quality of workmanship and professionalism of the staff and technicians. Dallas and Steve were great! We had a plumber from another agency out, and he really bungled things up. Dallas and Steve set things straight, were extremely polite, on time, and cleaned up after themselves. Estimate was very straight forward. They had to open a wall to correct an issue with the tub/shower, and they made such a clean cut in the Sheetrock that the patching of the wall could not have been easier. Highly recommend!

These guys are amazing! I love how they would not give up working on my AC until it was finally fixed! It took some process of elimination but our service guy Tony finally got it! I also like how when they say there are going to come they come! There's no waiting around the house all day. We had Efficiency install our unit 6 years ago and their service is top notch! They’re very not forthcoming when it comes to checking everything that has to do with the air conditioner they charge me 280 bucks more than what others will charge and to change a capacitor but the house still doesn’t cool down the technician gave me his word that he was going to come by since it was still an open ticket to check on the fan speed on the unit called back again to get that checked on and the company couldn’t get a hold of the technician was to send somebody else in one of the charging yet again so yeah these guys are definitely not the ones you want to have the work on your unit

We had a leak under the dish washer. The plumber thought it was a pipe behind the kitchen sink so he cut away the siding and did cement som pipes together that only had fittings. However I noticed yesterday that I the leak is coming indeed coming from the dishwasher. Disappointed it was missed by the plumber.

Efficient was by far the most professional and easiest company to work with when doing a fairly major home renovation project. We've used several HVAC companies in the past, but will thoroughly recommend Efficient from now on. Darwin is a total professional, and walked through our projects with us, and kept us up to date on the progress. Everyone showed up on time (to the minute!) and communication was maintained throughout every step. After the frustration of working with many contractors and AC companies, it was incredible to know that Efficient is doing things right. Even the follow-up details were tidy, on time, and professional. I can't recommend this company enough!

Could not ask for better service. When I came home from work, my AC was not working... in August... Roughly 15 minutes after my call, my repairman Ernest was at my door and was able to quickly swap the faulty part and restore cool air to my home. Polite, patient, professional and extremely fast. Truly excellent customer service from Efficient AC.

Used Angies list to find them and was going to take advantage of a 99.00 coupon for service. Ended up being a much bigger job with a Freon leak in the coil that would require replacement of coil and new Freon to recharge the system. My service tech Arthur had some real challenges with this job from getting a new everapator coil to having to disassemble the housing to get it through the opening for the attic where he had to put it. He called me from the supply house to let me know what was happening and why it was taking so long to get the replacement coil. Had another tech Ernest come help him to get it up into the attic. Arthur spent all day and didn'r finish till about 8.00 pm he kept me informed and worked non stop till it was done. Was a good sized bill this type of work has gotten expensive but didn't mind paying the amount after it was done and that was due to the service Arthur provided I felt he had given me excellent service and follow through. You truly get what you pay for in today's economy. Will use this company again if needed and Will ask for Arthur or Ernest to perform the service call. Kudos to Efficient for having employees like Arthur who provide their customers such outstanding customer service and make you realize why things cost so much to fix as you need to pay to get the right employee..

The folks at Efficient AC were extremely diligent and knowledgeable in finding a thermostat controller to work with my Carrier mini split ducted system. James, Arthur, Robert and the entire office staff were on top of it. I have never been so pleased with an a/c fix. I would definitely recommend Efficient and will be using them in the future.

The unit is a ground loop heat pump that was installed by a different company. The unit location is in a difficult to access area. The installation team worked efficiently to complete the installation in less time than estimated. they protected the affected work area, did an impressive installation job, and cleaned up completely. A working management level person was onsite to supervise and inspect the work done.Summary: Efficent AC Electric and Plumbing provides work at the highest quality level. Efficient AC, Electrical & Plumbing saved the day!!We had a major blockage in the sewer line and my family could not use the facilities for 2 days. I called a different company and they could not unblock the line and started quoting exorbitant prices for excavation etc. My wife stated that she had heard that Efficient had recently started providing plumbing services (we use them for our AC needs). I called.A master plumber and journeyman plumber arrived within two hours. They were professional in both their appearance and behavior. It took them two hours on a cold, wet miserable day to unplug the line, video the results (and post it to the cloud) and provide a solution for the repair. The cost was very reasonable for what they accomplished. I highly recommend them!!!

We had an emergency water leak, and thought it was the HVAC. I am contracted with Efficient HVAC, and they had someone come out after hours to check the unit. We kept getting more and more water, so we called Efficient again, and they again had someone come inspect the AC unit the same day. We could not find the leak, so the AC guy called and made sure Efficient had a plumber there in 30 minutes. The Efficient plumber was able to track down the leak in the wall, get the water shut off, and repair the leak in a few hours. I so appreciate the responsiveness and the willingness to go the extra step to save as much of our walls, carpet and flooring as possible. Thanks, Efficient!

We contacted Efficient Air because they are a Mitsubishi mini-spli system Diamond contractor. Darwin was laid-back, yet very responsive, and super easy to work with. Because we're new to mini-split systems, he even offered to meet us at the Mitsubishi training center in Austin to experience a demo of the units! The installation team was great too. They showed up on-time and worked late on day 1 to ensure we had a working system for the evening, then returned the following day to complete the remaining work. All in all, a great experience (which seems so rare) and I highly recommend them!

When Jeff left the business, I was a little apprehensive as he was a hydronic heating specialist, but Ben stepped in a couple years ago to perform annual maintenance on our HVAC. When we decided to sell our townhome, we called Efficient asking for Ben and came out a few minutes early and went to work. Our 18 year old system has been consistently been performing flawlessly for the past four years. Unfortunately a ‘home inspector’ stated our AC was underperforming, requiring repair or replacement. Although our system is ‘mature’ it works well, and Ben came out again at the buyer’s request, performed another inspection and test of our system, took plenty photos to document the performance for the buyer. Moral of the story, not all ‘inspectors’ know or understand AC systems, and occasionally it takes a capable professional to teach them how to evaluate an AC system. Call Efficient.

The Efficient technician, Robert, was on the scene quickly (considering the weekend), performed a work-around that left the unit functioning through the night, then returned on Monday to replace a part that restored it to a fully functioning unit. I called them to fix the error I am getting from my A/C unit (Carrier). The error message is AUXILIARY INPUT (G) SHUTDOWN (Code 196). I called them in the morning & they sent a technician at noon. Very quick response.The issue is with the pricing.The technician flushed the drain line with nitrogen. Some dirt did come out & he told me this will address the issue. This whole fix took literally 5 min. I was charged $250.After he left, I did a google search for this kind of repair. The price varies from $80 to $125. What Efficient HVAC charged me very much on the other side. Do take this into account when you consider Efficient HVAC for any repairs.

Efficient installed my new carrier system in December 2016. I was very surprised to come home this evening and find it hot in my house, with the thermostat pointing out a system fault. I called theirtnumber and asked the answering service to have a technician call me, and Robert Whitaker responded very quickly... Within a minute or two.I felt a lot better about the problem when he informed me that it just meant that the system detectected the drain line was clogged. Currently signed on with this company for a preventative maintenance program. Been using Airco for years but decided to give another company a try for a year to test the waters. We had a few hiccups in the beginning between getting service set up and doing the initial PM service call However, I am updating my previous review from 2 stars to 5. The reason being is as follows: Ernest Rodriguez reached out to me and we both realized once speaking over the phone that there was a few places of miscommunication from the staff I was dealing with to home and he promptly fixed those issues. We initially hired Efficient to replace the old worn out HVAC system on our second floor. After much discussion with their sales guy Darwin we opted to do a nontraditional route and install Mitsubishi minisplits. Price was excellent and the service with this install stellar. Due to that install going so well we hired the team again to do a pretty massive rip and replace. For the second job we had the team pull out the original furnace (from 1984!!) and replace it along with the outside compressor. They also replaced 99% of all our duct work which was a MAJOR undertaking. The team handle the challenges with stride. They listened to my concerns and desires and made some great recommendation to improve our system over all. My wife and I couldn't be happier with the work performed and the end results. We highly recommend that you give these guys a shot!

This is a GREAT company to help with A/C problems. The management has fair pricing, they are trying to make a make a living but without compromising yours. They work on units from residential to industrial giving them the experience in all situations to know what is wrong with your system. Technician was fine.Their pricing comes out of a book. I got a quote to bring two furnaces up to code by replacing a 3 foot long gas flex line going into the furnace with a small section of iron pipe, with a sediment trap. The quote was nearly $700, and their trip charge is $99. A competitor quoted me $250. Pricing is outrageous.

They immediately said I needed a whole new system without testing it fully. Then they said I needed 3 lbs of refrigerant as I had a leak somewhere in the system, and this fix would be $800. I asked why would i put 3lbs in a system with a suspected leak? Why not try 1 lb and see if it leaks. The fraudulent repair man then stated I won't come back so this is your opportunity for the 3 lbs because I can't put refrigerant in a system twice i ended up buy 1 lb but it didn't make a difference! Over $300 wasted. I called another company and he immediately said my evaporator coil needed to be cleaned, work performed, now my house is easily kept at 72 on a 99 degree day. Warning!! Advice from the good repair man is stay off Angie's list because those companies are desperate and the good companies don't have to pay for customers, the quality of their work brings them business

They have been great to work with since I got my first quote from them over 4 years ago, through the install and via their annual maintenance plan.

Technician quoted $662 to clean a filter wheel on a mini-split unit. Call to James, the Tech Manager, revealed that the normal charge is $371, and he confirmed it's a 1 hour job. He justified the almost-double figure because the tech was concerned about breaking the unit. So, they charge the customer for the part they might break, I guess, rather than training the technicians how to do the repair properly so they won't break it, or eating the cost (as they should!) if they do.Outrageous.

CRAZY EXPENSIVE!!!! I feel bad for those who rely on positive reviews and don't (or can't) bid out projects, especially because so much HVAC work is done on a need to have it now basis. Efficient's bid was almost 3.5x the cost of what I ended up paying with a reputable provider, and was considerably higher than ALL of the other 10 quotes I received. They might be nice when they come out, but paying 3.5x a fair price should not equate to strong ratings or a provider that people should use. I could never trust a provider who marks the price up so significantly.
