Nice people in the field and good quality work, but since the company was acquired by Southern HVAC the prices seem to have skyrocketed. They installed our new HVAC system less then 7 years ago. It failed and we called them again. After testing it was determined that the compressor needed to be replaced, luckily it was still covered by warranty. However, just the 3-hour job by a single tech costed nearly $3K, that's a $1K/hr. BTW, the national average for this job is about half of this.

Olin from beginning to end helped me with hazardous electrical in my hvac unit. Installed a new breaker box inside and outside just as I requested. He’s a great technician and deserves a raise. This was a 3 month project and he was basically my main point of contact through it all. 5 stars for sure.

The A/C technician was very professional and thorough. He checked the furnace and the system that was not heating up and found the Thermostat was not working properly. He actually ensure that our furnace was working even if the thermostat did not to ensure our house was warmed up quickly. Of course he fixed the issue and changed the thermostat. Fox always provides good services. I use their A/C and plumbing services for years.My only negative comment was on the people taking our request for service outside normal business hours did not seem to know what they were doing. I guess they are contracting some other company to answer their phone and that made our service to be delayed. In the past we never had that problem with this company.

Byron did an amazing job. He showed up on time and explained everything that needed to be done. He gave me details regarding what the price of the repairs would be and made sure I understood everything by giving me plenty of time to ask questions. Once the pricing was established, he got to work and had the repairs done quickly. He made sure there wouldn’t be any leaks and asked to make sure I didn’t have any questions before giving me the invoice. He also cleaned up everything so you would never know there was work done. I will definitely be calling Fox should I have any issues in the future.
I had 2 breakers on my panel randomly stop working. I called over 10 electrical companies to try and get someone out the same day and Fox was the only one who could accommodate because they were willing to send someone after hours and not charge a huge fee for it. My electrician was John P and he was extremely professional and explained everything to me in great detail. Best part is he had my issue resolved within a couple hours and I was back to having power in 2 critical parts of my home again. Would definitely recommend using Fox
John Price was professional and courteous. He explained everything beforehand and was very careful to not damage furniture. He took an existing ceiling fan down that had come apart and installed a new ceiling fan. When he was through the old fan was taken apart where it was very easy to dispose of and he even put all the packaging from the new fan back in the box, which made it easy to dispose of. John even vacuumed the area. John did an exceptional job and I will definitely use Fox Service again. Thank you Fox and John for exceptional service!!!

I recently had an inspection of my electrical system. Olin Torres was my technician. He was extremely knowledgeable and made good recommendations. He was very friendly and instilled trust. I have always gotten excellent service from Fox Service Company and would recommend them wholeheartedly. I also like the plan that you can purchase that provides annual inspections of gas, air conditioning, electricity and plumbing. The inspections allow for planning and give peace of mind.

Fox offers great service.Obi, the Fox technician who assisted me today was friendly, professional and provided excellent service. He quickly diagnosed the problem with the hvac, and he made the repairs with skilled precision. I was impressed that he took the time to help me understand why the problem had occurred and how to avoid the problem in the future. He provided helpful tips for saving energy during the summer months ahead.I am grateful to Fox and their technicians for their expertise, friendliness, and same-day service.
We hired Fox to install a new air conditioning system. Showed up on time and ready to work. They explained the process and how long it would take. I was impressed that they took great care to protect our wood floors and cleaned up before leaving. They did a great job and were friendly as well as professional. I will use Fox again!!
We had a great experience using Precision Heating and Air (Fox Service) installing a mini-split ductless system in our master bedroom. The installation went great, both the installation guys and the electrician were efficient and did an amazing job. I'd like to send a special shout-out to Wendy in the office - she bent over backwards to support us with some paperwork wrinkles. Problem was solved in a single morning - great work! Wayland Thompson was the technician for my AC repair job. He arrived early, was really pleasant, professional and informative about the issues with our system. Once the problem was diagnosed, he was able to fix it within a few minutes to get our AC back up and running. Very happy with his service!There was an issue with our Fox Services membership, though. Apparently it couldn't be found in their system, so we had to pay full price for the service instead of getting our membership discount. However, when we found proof that we had purchased the service, Wayland was very proactive and helpful in getting us our membership discount refund.Overall very happy with Wayland and Fox Service Company, will definitely use them again.
We've used several service companies off and on over the years but for major repairs, Fox is the way to go as they are the most professional. Our most recent repair was an $18K total air conditioner replacement with electrical spike protection. The main service technician we interacted with on the install and followup, Rick Cannon, was the most knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful technician we've every had the pleasure of having had the pleasure of having in our home.
Fox service technicians are always friendly and knowledgeable. As a woman, it can be scary to be alone in your house with a random stranger. All of the fox technicians that I have worked with have made me feel very comfortable and safe. They arrive when they say they will and answer any and all questions I have. In the past two weeks I have had 3 technicians out for check ups and they all earned an A+ review from me: John P (electrician), Byron (plumber), and Bradley (HVAC)
Scott was very helpful to explain how my thermostat works and gave me a better understanding. He communicated to me what he was going to be doing to the system. He changed out the dirty filter, checked the outside unit and washed the dust off. He went over the maintenance plan with me and I made payment for another year.. I agree that you need to buy his lunch.
Robert was great! He called 30 minutes before arriving as promised. He answered all of my questions and I had quite a few. He performed his work very quickly and provided a summary of the results that I appreciated. I hope he will be assigned to our house next time we use Fox.

We have used fox for plumbing, electrical and ac for years and are very happy. In this specific instance we had a fairly minor sink pipe repair. We were disappointed that it took two weeks to get an appointment. But we were very pleased with the plumber who came. He was friendly, attentive, skilled and efficient.
It started rocky as I scheduled an appointment online but never received a call back so I called to confirm and was told the scheduling website wasn't really for scheduling. But they did get someone to come out that evening and give us an estimate on a new system. We decided to go with Fox. The rep. and installers were good. No complaints. I would choose this company again in 15 years when I will need another system

Had a leaking kitchen sink faucet that needed a new faucet fixture and replacement of incoming line valves due to age not excessive water damage yet. We live in a 1965 ranch, so everything is old and wearing out. Rafael did the work quickly, cleanly, and with little fuss. We had to wait a week to get him. But the price was half of many competitors (we know we had the bathroom faucet replaced a month ago). Rafael called to come early and was finished and gone before our late lunch. We've used Fox for years, and have been pleased with the work they've done on plumbing, electrical issues, and HVAC repairs and installation. This time, Byrom, the plumber who helped us solve long-standing problems with our shower and outdoor faucet as well as a sudden, serious problem with our bathroom faucet, exceeded even our high expectations. Called Fox Service for electrician to come out to replace outdoor outlet that had stopped working. We depend on that outlet to run our decorative pond/waterfall functions. I am very disappointed on the quality of service provided by Fox. Everytime we have an issue/repair, it is always the Up Sale with Fox. A few months ago, a fan motor went out on our compressor. Not only did it take a month to get the part, but when them came to install it they had to do the You really need to replace the entire system rather than just replace the fan motor speech. We also have the maintenance plan with Fox. They came out last week to do the Furnace Check-up and we were told everything looked good and the system was working well. 3 days later the furnace quit working and now I am looking at a $1800 blower motor plus labor charges if that is the only thing wrong. Again, we got the speech to replace the system for $10K or more instead of just replacing the part. We called another company to come out and they will be doing the repair for us.
My heat was not working, thermostat gave out. Christmas Eve day! Brandon with precession heating and air, was the technician, and he was awesome!!Professional, respectful, knowledgeable, instructive, it was such a stressful situation for me and he was very supportive!I am thankful to him and company ?
I have used Fox Service 2 -3 times in the last 6 months for A/C and Heating Repairs at two of our rental properties. They are super responsive - thorough - the service provided has been excellent and they are truly my go to for HVAC issues in Austin. I highly recommend them.

Robb came out and we discussed the necessary additions to existing systems in order to utilize a gas operated generator in the event that PEC electrical power was interrupted for any period of time. Whole experience has been great, responsive on the phone, easy to schedule a time that worked, good apps and tooling around expected time of arrival. Tech (Robert J) recognized issue quickly and identified known issue with part, replaced with new generation circuit and was able to submit RMA so I didn't even have to pay for parts. Will be using them for future electrician needs but will also consider them for HVAC and plumbing because of the convenience factor their service team created.
I paid a lot of money to have the entire system essentially gutted and major components replaced. Upped the tonnage on the outdoor unit to handle heating and cooling better. It's been one thing after another over the last 5-6 months since install. The upshot is that they come out every time, but I'm tired of there being one thing or another. From not placing the smart thermostat hub away from higher voltage, and again with not having the correct number of connections, to not replacing parts of the ducting that clearly needed replacing (mastic and tape), to not having the flowrate adjusted correctly. I've been told that the new unit is more sensitive to high highs and low lows than my last unit (kind of defeats the purpose of upping the tonnage to be able to handle the extremes better in my opinion).To their credit, they come out every time there's an issue at no cost to me (that could just be due to how new it is). At the end of day it feels like they are setting the expectation that they come out frequently so that once my warranty runs out I'm maybe so used to it that I just keep on in resignation. For as many times as I've had to have them out, I'm kind of wishing I used a different company though.
We had a new Lennox air conditioning system installed by Fox.
The entire process from Jason to Glass to George was seamless, quick and clean. The installers showed up on time and finish very quickly. Great Job!!!

Set up an appointment online for an in person estimate over a week in advance and received a conformation email showing the appointment date and time. Called 4 days prior to appointment to make adjustments to request and was informed to just the the technician when they arrive on the appointment date. 30 minutes after the scheduled appointment time range I called to get an eta and was informed they did not have a record of my scheduled appointment, big waste of time

Robert did a Heating inspection yesterday and was very professional and very knowledgeable. He explained things in detail and provided reasonable options for me without pushing anything. I'm very satisfied with this service.
I had a hose bibb that was assembled with PVC in 2022 crack and leak during the freeze in late December. I asked for a repair to the broken pipe and was told I needed a sophisticated rebuild even though my house was only 15 months old and I paid almost $3M for. I felt like I got taken advantage of. What should have been a few hundred dollar repair ultimately because an approximate $1700 completely rebuild of a system that wasn't even broken. Very disappointed.

I called Precision (who is also now Fox through a buyout?) to service my AC. They sent two technicians, one of who was very nice and the other not so. The nice technician said up front that it was too cold to get a good reading off the AC, and I offered to set another date. The not-so-nice technician insisted it could be done by wrapping garbage bags around it.They were already out, and the not-nice one was insistent, so I let them look at the AC unit.The nice technician got to work looking at the units in the attic, and the not-so-nice one started asking questions. During the conversation, I mentioned that I had had trouble over the last couple of years because the refrigerant was low, and they were able to add some, and it worked fine. The not-nice technician immediately started talking about a new unit without any diagnostic effort saying that the cost of a new unit might be cheaper than putting refrigerant in. He said that even if it worked, the hole is likely bigger because they grow over time, so it would likely fail anyway.It felt like we were in a verbal jousting match and ended up with the not-nice technician going down to look at the outside unit. He looked at it briefly and pointedly noted that it was missing a sticker that goes right here. (It looked like he was just pointing at a random blank spot). He said he would have to start putting the refrigerant in and weighing it out because there was no sticker on the unit. I guess there is no way in today's age to get from a model number to information about the specs of a device.At that point, I was done. I paid their service fee and asked them to leave. The parting words from the not-nice technician were, We wouldn't put in a unit for you anyway.I still don't know how a garbage bag would help, but there you go.
Ralph has done work for me before. He is always friendly and does excellent work. The young man working with him was also excellent. They worked quickly and everything was clean when they finished.
Byron smith was fast and professional. Not only was he concerned with solving my problem, but he helped me understand how it happened and how to maintain my pipes so I can avoid the problem coming back. 10 of 10- would request his help with any future problems with my house.

Our hvac stopped working. Sam came out the following day and spent quite a while making sure he knew exactly what was causing a breaker to trip. He got it all up and working. He was friendly and knowledgeable. He also waited for me when I was running late.

We had a partial power outage which Austin Energy could not resolve. First, the Fox technician arrived so fast! I was also able to track him. He diagnosed the problem and had the power back in less than five minutes.

The cons outweigh the pros for me. I’ve used them for plumbing before and it was almost $600 to run a snake down the line. The technician was nice and professional, though - no problems there.If you’re on here looking for emergency services, I wouldn’t recommend. I called around 7pm on a weekday and was told someone would be out between 7 and 10. The technician called me an hour later (he was nice and respectful) and said that there was no availability for them to come out. The after hour calls go to a call center and they do not have direct communication with the technician. You will be told someone is able to come out that night - I would have a backup plan if you go that route.

I needed to have a transformer swapped out. The appointment scheduling process was quick and easy. My technician Olin did great work and was very professional.
Rafael and Juan were amazing! They assisted with the water heater replacement, and even offered extra service (which we were willing to pay for) to get the pipes for our dishwasher replaced, even though that wasn't initially the reason they were there. Way to go for going above and beyond!

Seth and Obi came out this morning to troubleshoot the HVAC system in my house. The heat pump failed during the freezing weather and I needed to find out what was causing the issue quick. They looked at everything and gave me a quote within an hour. They were both very polite and professional. It was apparent they knew what they were talking about. I highly recommend Fox Services and Seth and Obi in particular.
Got two techs and both were friendly and professional. Took the time to explain stuff and was able to get estimates for a new system as well. Haven't had a bad experience with Fox yet.

One star for a simple reason. Lack of simple estimate pricing for project/install. I understand there are intricacies in plumbing (any labor projects) that may arise and contribute to projects being shortened or extended. But the fact that a business persists on a service call, with a fee, to come out to review the project before giving an estimate (i.e., an idea/close enough guess) for a small project (toilet install) is absurd. The associates answer of we don't have internal pricing on projects is a poor excuse/work around to push clients up against a wall and lock them into a service call fee ($49). Mind you, the service fee gets refunded/removed from the end project cost, but, the policy to insist on a service charge for a pre-rollout is, in my opinion, a poor business practice.*give me a guesstimate on a simple toilet install and advise me that if other work needs to be done this will change the guesstimated price. There... this protects you (the company) from a price lock/misaligned quote. And it contributes to a great customer experience.

Techs were OK with install but I was charged a deposit and then the full amount of the AC unit. i.e. close to $3,000 more than expected. I called to have refund on May 8, nothing has appeared in my account and manager has not called as requested. This is costing me money. Bad management.

He told me about financing options.Spring 2023 HVAC maintenance-system failed several diagnostic checks. He took his time to tell me what was going on with system and because of the age, best to get it replaced before the hot temperatures arrive. We reviewed the estimate, refinance option. Of the latter, it was an affordable plan.Scheduling for the new system went smoothly.HVAC installation DayBryant Walker and Jose arrived on time, placed covering on the flooring and removed old system/trash. My experience with fox is always an excellent one. Darren Sullivan is my go to guy. He has been servicing my AC and heater for at least three years. He is very professional, informative, timely, personable and kind. I will wait until he is available to service my products. He is the best. If I had the opportunity, not only would I buy him lunch but dinner as well. He is extraordinary human being.
Our downstairs AC stopped blowing cold air earlier in the day, so we called Fox. They were able to have a technician come out same day to inspect and troubleshoot the issue. The issue was a capacitor failure so they were able to fix the issue within a few minutes. The technician was friendly, courteous, and knowledgeable, something I appreciate anytime a company is in our home for maintenance or repairs. They gave us a 5 year parts and labor warranty at no extra charge. We’ve used Fox in the past at our last home for HVAC System replacement and plumbing repair, and had a quality technician and customer service experience. We will most certainly use Fox for any other issues that we may have in the future that they are able to service.

Sam was a fantastic tech! There’s not a lot of details to say: my air conditioning wasn’t working, he came by, did his job, and now it’s working properly! Not much more you can ask for from a repair service. Will absolutely be using this service again in the future if I have any other problems.
I recently had my air conditioner replaced, and I couldn’t be happier about the service provided by Fox. My initial call to installation was only 48 hours. (I knew it had been dying and had already gotten some prices from other places, so I knew I could skip that step because theirs were in line with other places. It was also 17 years old so I knew I wanted a completely new system, although they did give me the option of replacing the parts that were broken.)There were a few minor hiccups and the way they were handled was outstanding:1) The finance offer I received was different from what I was initially offered, but a quick phone call to Joe Caneiro got it fixed within minutes.2) Glass and Forrest did an excellent job on the install. They were professional, but also very friendly (and given that they were working in my attic on a 100+ degree day, that was impressive), even when they were finished and went to turn everything on… and nothing happened. But they were able to fix the faulty wiring and get it working, with a pleasant attitude the entire time.Fox even called a few days later to schedule someone to come out and double check everything. I have been cool and comfortable for over a week now!And the best part: the guy who came out originally said he thought there was some additional work that needed to be done on the ducts. The guys who did the install said it was actually fine, so I wasn’t charged for unnecessary work.

Kevin of Fox Service is a true professional in his work. He performed the annual check of my home's gas furnace in a manner that did not disrupt my day in any way. He phoned ahead, arrived exactly on time, and knew where everything was located. He was one of the gentlemen that installed the furnace a few years ago. Nick performed our fall heater checkup. He was very professional and personable. We have used Fox for many years and would highly recommend the company for service and new heater/air conditioning installation.
Over the last 2 years we have had Fox Service Company replace 3 HVAC systems and none of them have functioned properly. A total of 6 visit from 6 different technicians. Finally demanded a supervisor (Darren) come out to inspect everything.The supervisor was embarrassed by what he found. One of my units was set up for natural gas versus propane. The second unit had a blown capacitor which the other 6 technicians couldn’t figure out. The third unit was the completely wrong system, missing a wire and had to be replaced. The 6 other technicians couldn’t figure this out?It is really frustrating when you tell the 6 technicians that something isn’t working properly and they look at you like you’re crazy or don’t know what you’re talking about.I guess this is what happens when you are not locally owned anymore. Fox is now owned by a big HVAC company out of Florida that is expanding rapidly. It’s all about shareholder profits.Honestly I think the supervisor (Darren) is the best person at Fox! He is very thorough, follows up and knows his stuff since he has been in the industry quite awhile! That man deserves a raise!!!They still need to come back an make sure it operates in cold weather but crickets from FOX.

We needed 2 HVAC units maintained/cleaned and Scott came out and helped with the routine checks and found that we may have a potential leak with one of the units. He thoroughly explained the pricing on everything and laid out all of our options. We went with just refilling the coolant knowing that we may just replace the entire unit in a few years anyway.Overall great service from the team and I would recommend them! sam from fox service came to check on my heating system maintenance. He not only checked CO level, and checked my filter. He explained how LPG based heating system works, assure me that all good.
I had Fox install an interlock switch on my house for future encounters with power outages. Will we ever experience a power outage like we did for that week in Texas again? Doubtful, but I'd rather be prepared. While communication wasn't necessarily the greatest with scheduling or updates, when it actually came time to have the install done, the technician who did that work was beyond professional and communicated every step of the way what needed to be done. He included his card and while the process of install didn't take long, he spent time afterwards describing what he did, the importance of certain things such as surge protectors and using the interlock switch as well as information relevant to the work. It was quality work that stands out and I would for sure recommend them (as I already have to some) to others. I will edit this post later once I find the gentleman's name who did the install as he deserves the recognition for his work and his attitude.(EDIT.....the technician who came out to do my install was Robert Crandall. Once again, great guy who enjoys his job and a good asset to the team. The timing of everything worked out as I had to use generator back up last night to power the house until we got power back, but it was convenient to have. Thanks again and please give this guy some recognition and request him for your local jobs)

I received an email this morning generated by our HVAC system alerting me of a problem (Shutdown Error Code 196). I called Fox Service and within 3 hours Service Tech Robert came to check it out.Robert was very professional, thorough and communicative. As it turned out it was a clogged condensate line that had stopped up after the weather had cooled off and the A/C stopped running. It was a small problem we caught early before it became a big problem. And, since we have a service contract with Fox, there was no charge. Thank you Robert!

I’ve had an appointment scheduled for over two weeks for a plumber to look at my water heater. I get a voicemail the day of the saying they had no availability to see me that day. I call them back to hear that they don’t know why my appointment was cancelled, but that I’m rescheduled for the following day. I call them the next morning to verify that they are coming and I’m assured that I’m on the board and that a technical will reach out to me. I then get a call about 1:30 pm from a person saying that I’m not on their schedule and no one is coming. She then proceeded to say that she doesn’t know who I’ve been talking to, but they are booked until December. Two different employees had confirmed my second appointment after they flaked on my initial one. Folks, do not trust what this company tells you! They do not keep their commitments, nor is anyone competent working in the scheduling department.

John Price was our electrician and he did an amazing job! Figured out the issue to our breaker problem quickly and was able to install a new plug under our sink that was needed. I highly recommend this company. They were quick, efficient and professional.
I had my A/C die. Precision came and put in coolant for it to blow cold air. It leaked out in a few days. They credited me for the service call to get a new system. Installers Glass and Forrest showed up on a Saturday, spent a long time to custom fit the new a/c system, including disassembling the coils to get it to all into the closet. They professionally answered my constant questions with a smile. I was very surprised two people could do all that work and cleaned up afterwards. They removed the old system and installed the whole system in one trip. I had cold air in one day.

I think that the electricians at Fox can probably handle straight forward common fixture replacement but in my experience they do not have the knowledge or experience to troubleshoot less common fixtures or make repairs/ fixing wiring instead of replacing the everything.

He has serviced this unit before, and, I hope when the time comes, he'll be the one to do it again. He is quick, thorough, and knowledgeable, having been in the business for 18 years. Fox Service has installed and maintained both my original unit and this one. Mr. Fichter well serves the company. He is a credit to them and their reputation.June 1, 2022: Adding to my review of last year, today's service was up toi the standards I've come to expect from Fox. This was a routine maintenance inspection (which I highly recommend). I get this twice a year to prevent occasional minor problems from becoming major ones. My technician, Scott, lives up to the reputation that Fox has built over the years. He was friendly, polite, respectful and thorough in his inspection. He is an asset to the company. I have used and trust Fox Service Company since 1995. They have never disappointed.My 18-year-old HVAC system died last Wednesday. Fox had been servicing it ever since they installed it. Their professionalism, quality of service, friendliness, and efficiency are the reason I kept them as my service. I being a 77-year-old senior, needed my system repaired. Fox dispatched Darren, who offered to do another piecemeal fix or replace the system. I was given the option and chose to replace it. The only problem was that they couldn't do the install until Saturday. Darren contacted Cary and together they came up with a plan to keep me cool until Sat. To my mind, that is superior customer service. But, I have always enjoyed great service from Fox. I always subscribe to their annual inspection plan which helps me keep the system running at its best and offers a discount. The two installers, Bryant and Juan were awesome. They were friendly, fast, knowledgeable, and efficient, completing the job in about 5 hours. They would be welcome here anytime. I am very pleased with the whole experience, and highly recommend Fox and their entire team. Mariah, the admin lady whom I contacted was, likewise, cheerful, considerate, and kind. A real asset to the Fox service organization. I make this recommendation freely, without fear or favor.

Dominic Neri, Electrical Service Technician, did the annual service on Generac standby generator on 10/26/2022. This service included oil & filter change, air filter change, new spark plugs and overall cleaning of the generator unit plus a 10 minute run of the generator to ensure it was operating properly. Dominic took the time to answer my questions regarding the operation of the generator. Dominic performed an excellent maintenance service and I will definitely continue using the service.

It was an all together great experience for a big project to replace my AC unit. Glass and Forrest were super friendly, on time, and did a great job with the complicated installation. They were very understanding and kind with my dog who felt the need to “help” them with their work. After they were done they cleaned up their workspace like nothing had even happened.
The two technicians came early, worked fast and efficient and were friendly and professional in inspecting and cleaning my mother’s furnace.

Fox Service Co. is the only company I will use for my Navien tankless water heaters. They are certified and have saved my systems from failure a number of times. Fox personnel are smart, kind, and efficient. Today, a small gasket was failing on one Navien and the service rep called all over town to find a replacement part and drove many miles to pick up the small part we needed so we were not inconvenienced with half of our house being without water.

Called these guys out because the previous owners of our house had them install our HVAC. Our air conditioner was acting a little weird, which is why we called, I was told the system was shot and needed to be fully replaced. I asked what the ballpark cost would be and was told a sales rep had to come out. I in sales so I understand but when the guy came out, he told me nearly zero information and quoted me $16,000 for a new system. I consulted multiple other pros and they all said that was quite high. I had another technician from a different company come out to do a diagnostic and he tells me there was absolutely nothing wrong with our system, pressed one button on our thermostat and it was up and running with no problem. Fox seems a little fishy to me!

We decided not to use Fox Services to replace the capacitor in our 5 year old unit- the part was under warranty and the labor was priced at $301. I felt that price was too high for a $40 part and a 30 mins install (per their technicians timeline). When I told Sam Efe, the technician that came that we would not be doing business with him, he became upset. Then he told me- “I did not have to pay him $301, but I did have to pay him $49 for the service fee.” I mentioned that we had a maintenance service and that I didn’t think I had to pay that. He insisted that I did and became more upset. I then called Fox Services and explained to customer service what was happening. The young lady on the other line was very helpful and mentioned that I was correct- I did not owe a service fee. She mentioned she would stay on the line so that I could let the technician know. I proceeded to tell him that I was on the phone with Fox and that they looked up my account and I did not have to pay the service fee. He began to argue with me, I let him speak to customer service he then began to argue with her and became more aggressive. When the rep told him for 3rd time I did not have to pay- he shoved the phone back at me and was very aggressive. I have to say that this visit left me very nervous and uncomfortable, I was actually scared and just wanted the technician to leave. My daughters were present at the time and observed what happened. With my oldest daughter saying- mom, I honestly thought he was going to throw the phone down or hit you. The customer service rep apologized for the incident- I asked her to notate the account and to make sure that this person did not return to service anything at our house. We will not be calling Fox Services in the future for any repairs. It was an extremely unpleasant visit.

Dominic Neri has made many electrical repairs in my home. Yesterday he and Robb Jamison replaced the hazardous braker box that I'd had for many, many years. They worked non-stop from 7:50 am until very late in the afternoon. They did a fabulous job, and I couldn't be more pleased with the repairs Dominic has done the past few months. Dominic never left the house dirty after working in my home, and everything was spotless when they left yesterday. I give them both 5 stars and would give them more if I could.

My ac stopped blowing cold air on Saturday evening. Great communication. They called back within an hour or two of a message I left on Saturday evening. Got an appointment on Monday at 4-6pm came early around 2:30. Texted before showing up. I wasn't home but my roommate let Obie in. Quickly diagnosed my issue and had the part replaced before I got home. He even moved some scaffolding I had in front on the inside unit. Sorry and thank you for that! Obie did a great job. My experience with them demonstrates that their professionalism and rapid service is worth the 5/5 stars that I am giving them. Fox Service Company was one of the only companies in Austin that have HVAC technicians licensed to work on liquid-cooled HVAC systems. They were the only ones able to service my condo! The HVAC system to my condo was broken and unable to communicate with the downstairs unit, so there was air, but not cold air. Unfortunately, one of the technicians Fox sent out today blew out the transformer to my HVAC system. The blower was operating well until it suddenly shut-off when the transformer broke while the technician was messing around with some wires inside. At this point, the technician surprised me with a $500 take-it-or-leave-it purchase of another transformer for this newly created issue. I did not follow through with the purchase and their technician refused to do anything else with my HVAC system, leaving me dead in the water with this new issue and my previous issue. He did not change the wires back and when I asked what wires were changed, his only response was an abrasive many wires were changed before leaving. It was an extremely distressing situation that I would not like to repeat again.Afterwards, Robert and Scott provided me with exceptional service that was above and beyond what I needed. After the incident, I spoke to their HVAC manager Robert about the situation and he reassured me that my issues would be resolved in a timely manner. He set up another same-day appointment for a different technician (Scott) to fix the situation. Scott came over a few hours later to install a new transformer and fuse to prevent a situation like this from happening again. He did a phenomenal job making sure that all of the wires were done correctly this time. After 20-30 minutes, he resolved the issue and fixed my HVAC system; I was finally able to feel the refreshing breeze in my apartment again. Even after the nasty experience that I had with the previous technician that Fox sent, I felt at ease with Robert and Scott on my side. I could certainly recommend Fox Service company for any of your HVAC issues.Your concerns will be heard.Your needs will be met.With remarkable people like Robert and Scott, you can be reassured that Fox Service Company will come through. If you set-up an appointment with the company, I recommend asking for Scott to come by to help!

Glass and Levi worked as a team and completed the install without any issues. Answered question about unit’s performance, filter changes, etc. and cleaned job site. Fox was able to schedule an AC tech for the NEXT DAY. He was not told we needed service on our apartment's mini split system, but did some basic maintenance. Since the system was draining well, but still not fully cooling, Fox scheduled an experienced mini-split technician for the day after. That 2nd tech got it right after checking the temperature differential and making sure the compressor was fully charged. The system cools better now - which is important during these 100-degree days.

Then he charges me a fee. Totally worthless, useless, unprofessional... totally disappointed with Fox. Twice a year, Fox maintains my heating/ac unit... that guy has equipment, supplies! I've booked electrician(s) ... that guy has equipment, supplies. Never again will I call Fox for a plumber. No lunch for him; Fox should reimburse my service fee and send me lunch and dessert!

I was a little worried, hearing some pretty high estimates, after the plumber (Rafael) looked at our 40 year old shower faucet leak. I guess it is better to overestimate, but I almost balked.The hot water leak had caused the faucet handle to melt on the stem and if handled too roughly, it would have ended up with the water shut off in our house, until someone could crawl up into our attic to replace the valve from the back of the service.Over 2 days and a run to the plumbing parts store, Rafael used several different methods to eventually change out the leaking cartridge, in the hot water side and got us restored. For around $250, it could have been a whole lot worse!

I can't say enough about the responsiveness of Fox in fixing our electrical problem this past Saturday. Overnight, half of our house lost power, in particular the circuits controlling the refrigerator and AC. I used a voltmeter to try to isolate the problem starting at the garage subpanel but obtained inconsistent results. In over my head on electrical issues, we contacted Fox. We were told by the Fox dispatcher that a tech would be there between noon and 6 PM. To our good fortune, Dominic(sp?) showed up before 10:30 AM. Much to our relief, Dominic quickly diagnosed the problem with one of two breakers at the main panel and replaced the failing breaker. Problem solved and for what I considered to be a very reasonable price for emergency work on the weekend!

Fox PlumbingShowed up at 11:45 for a 8am - 12 slot. He arrived without a mask and when I asked him to wear a mask he claimed he did not have any! I gave him one to wear, at the time I thought that was a bit unproffesional. I deal with services all the time coming into my home and they ask if they want me to have them wear a mask. The job was simple. Replace six cartridges in the 3 bathroom showers/tub. He not have the cartridges that I specifically told the dispatcher that I needed when I booked the appointment 4 days before (Moen 1224). Said he would be right back and took 2 hours to be right back. Tried to remove the water cover for the shutoff with a screw driver so I came out to show him how to use a plumbing key to pull the spring loaded plug back. Spent 5 minutes per cartridge to replace and never bothered to recaulk the cover plates. Charged me $220 per cartridge. I thik that is illegal for 5 minutes of labor per cartridge. (By the way, when I placed the call for service, they could not provide me with an estimate even though on the Fox website it states free estimates. I had to leave for a Dr. appointment and he was still working when I left. My wife took care of payment. When he left, he sarcastically (according to my wife) asked if she wanted the mask back and began to tell her that they really were not needed. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL even to show up without a mask besides giving your opinion. All in all a very bad experience and an outrageous bill for $1300 for changing 6 cartridges and spending about 30 minutes tops doing it. My days of dealing with Fox have ended.

My 16 year old tankless water heater stopped working. Jeremy was assigned to come out and diagnose the issue and suggest courses of action. He was punctual and quickly found the issue in the computer board. He showed me the problem and explained the issues and optional courses of action. He recommended replacing the system since it was 16 years old within the normal end of life for a tankless system. Even after doing my own research on the system, I could only confirm Jeremy's words. An honest technician. I would recommend working with Fox Services & Jeremy.

We used Fox Service for electrical work replacing a chandelier. Scheduling was easy, appointments were available for that week, technicians let us know they were on the way, were on time, & came prepared. They worked quickly & with care for our home. They were also friendly & funny which was a bonus. We’ll use their service again.
I have been using Fox Service for years now for my electrical needs. Recently, they went above and beyond in assisting me with a manufacturer problem. Tim, their service manager made it happen and I was incredibly pleased with Michael, the electrician who came out twice to execute the job. He had a can do attitude, was positive and most importantly, did a great job! I would recommend them!
We had a breaker go out and no power in our house. I called them on a Saturday morning and was able to get them to come out that afternoon. I called at least 6 other places and got no response. John came out, was knowledgeable and efficient. he diagnosed and fixed it in no time. I felt their rates were reasonable, and we were very pleased with the work. Wouldn't hesitate to call again.

Update: turns out the part that was ordered wasn’t needed!! Meanwhile it’s still not fixed. No accountability from the supervisor Darren and extremely rude. It can’t take 3 days to fix an A/C!Called for Hvac service Wednesday morning as my A/C stopped working the night before. Someone was supposed to come between 12 and 6. They came at 7:30 while I sat in the hot house all afternoon waiting. The poor repair guy left at 1:30am and it was working fine. Stopped working 30 minutes later. Came back Thursday at noon. Was there till 6 while I had to sit in the now excruciatingly hot house the whole time. Couldn’t fix it and wasn’t 100% what is wrong. Needed to get a replacement part. Waited all day Friday only to get a phone call at 6pm that the part came and service is scheduled for MONDAY!! That is beyond unacceptable! Come now still or Saturday! It’s triple digits this weekend. 5 days without A/C. They didn’t care.

HVAC replacement + zoning system (motorized dampers + control board + extra thermostats) installed to replace a functioning, but old Lennox system in a two-story house. VERY expensive. It took four trips over a period of 90 days to install the correct dampers for the zoning system. That's just the beginning! The zoning system doesn't work--it directs all air downstairs and virtually _NONE_ upstairs. Five additional visits to correct the installation. All failed. At this point, the answer was to disconnect and disable the VERY expensive zoning system. Repeated calls result in a I'll forward your message to the person in charge. All techs were nice and personable, but the installation and service is abysmal.

Fox Service is the way to go. We were lucky they had a cancellation this morning, because they came out very quickly on a Saturday afternoon for some water damage we noticed the day before. There were a few thoughts around the issue, Shawn talked us through some options and we went with his recommendation to figure out the problem. He was right, he was thorough, he was quick and very honest. The last think you want when having house issues is someone giving you the run around, but we couldn’t have been happier with their service. Thank you again!

As the story goes. Our client had a very small pinpoint leak on an exposed coper line that our company had uncovered. The project supervisor called and was quoted $100 service fee so he agreed. The project was a simple repair that took less than 30 minutes. It required a coupling and an elbow which the elbow costs $6.47 and the coupling $0.78.The plumber arrived and stated $125 service charge was to be added not $100. After working 27 minutes and repair the fixture, he then proceeded to invoice us $884 dollars which we are prepared to show our client who is an attorney. I have read the reviews and this is not the first time they have been accused of taking advantage of the client. I have been in construction for almost 20 years and I have never seen anything like this.

I dont think these reviews matter unless you formally complain to someone like BBB. I used Fox for an electric repair before inside my home and was impressed with the quality/professionalism . So i called them again but this time to fix my broken AC which stopped working a few days back. One guy came in and he found out that the compressor is broke which turned out to be correct. But anything he said afterwards was completely incoherent , unstable and rip minded. He quoted 4900 to change my 18L compressor first and later he said thats not going to work and i may have to change the whole unit for $9800! . I must say he made a few phone calls and tried to look as if he was honest and genuine. Well Fox the cost of the compressor is only 2000 and i got it done , thanks to angies list. I know your name is Fox (pun intended ) but trust me with this advise ... dont go with the way someone looks and always remember all of us have a brain and if not google . So you got to be smarter than that.

Jason from Fox came out to repair a faucet. He was prompt and in fact early. He was very professional.. He told me that I should call Koehler and get a free replacement, gave me the number and the model number. He said to call him back and they will install. He was able to get the faucet working but said there’s no reason to spend money when Koehler warranties their products. He was exactly correct. A replacement faucet it’s on its way and Jason saved me a lot more money . Compared to another company that I recently used as well known in town ,Fox it’s cheaper, and much better value. I actually canceled the other company because they wanted almost $500 to repair a Kohler toilet which actually I was able to repair for seven dollars at Home Depot buying a gasket. Turns out I probably could’ve called Koehler and gotten free parts. The other company said they would bill me for the parts that they would buy!! They said it was a Kohler toilet but they never mentioned that I could call Koehler !! Highly recommend you use Fox
Fox Service Company really came to my rescue. The property I manage lost hot water in the bathtub on the main floor two day before Christmas. They got me on the schedule and came out the same day I called for service. The tech was awesome!! He made the repairin about 20 minutes and the service fee was insanely reasonable. Fox Service is the company to call if you have an emergency. They resolved my plumbing emergency fast!!
Complete ripoff, avoid them if possible. They don’t disclose their $99 service fee for having a technician come out. Their technician Wayland quoted us $485 plus $99 service fee for a simple capacitor change that he said MIGHT work. Almost $600 charge for a maybe? He also became pretty rude after I told him we didn’t want the work done anymore. Capacitors cost $10-30 on amazon and hardware stores btw. I’m gonna report this company.Update: I just picked up a capacitor for $27 and fixed it in 5 min. And I’ve never worked on electrical/HVAC stuff. Just took pictures of how they were wired to the previous capacitor and did the same to the new one. At least they diagnosed it correctly but you could probably find someone cheaper to diagnose. For example, Radiant quoted me $34 to come out and look.4/25/22 update: they refunded the $99 service fee which I do appreciate. Updating from one star to two stars

Two Rheem hot water heaters installed by Fox have each lasted only 4 years before needing to be replaced. While the water heaters are under warranty, the cost of labor is not included. Replacing hot water heaters that should have significantly longer life spans gets costly and is extremely inconvenient. Being without any hot water for nearly a week is not acceptable.

Had Fox come out to look at a malfunctioning outdoor unit and quote me for a fix. While it's true the unit has passed the 10-year mark, the techs were pushy about the replacement and used sales tactics that came off as manipulative (e.g. You seem like a nice guy after less than 5-10 minutes of interaction). For this reason, I went with a different provider who fixed the problem at a significantly lower cost, and gave me useful information on when a replacement is actually needed.For a previous visit, I don't know if charging $1500 to install a reme halo filter in one's house is standard, but considering the filter itself can be found for like $300, that seems weirdly steep. The guy also gave an evasive answer when I asked if I could replace it myself. I later verified on multiple YouTube videos on professional channels that I can in fact replace it myself.I will not be contacting Fox in the future.
The customer service was great give me a quick appoinment but the tech was horible. Just came and knew this one was a rental unit so sugusted that unit to be replaced and told me it will cost 17000 withoit giving me any wriiten statment. So long story short i called a diffeent company they came and fix the problem for 250.00 and Ac is working. I am sure i have to replace the unit with in next few years but that 250.00 will give me a time to budget and shoparound.

This review is going to be a mixed bag.Stated simply: we are happy with the work done by the service people at Fox. We're not as happy with their management.Fox has a wide variety of services- we've used them several times over the past 15 years for HVAC and plumbing services. The guys that have done the work varied from older very experienced guys to younger guys who had less experience. In every case, we've been happy with the service. The service staff explained what they did and why they did it. They made recommendations to improve performance or prevent problems with both the HVAC and with the plumbing. We've been satisfied with the professionalism of their workers and we've never had anyone come to our home from Fox that we were not comfortable having in our home.About 7 years ago, we had them install a new HVAC system which is one of the best decisions we've made. They recommended an excellent model and there is a noticeable difference in our house since the units were installed and there's also been a noticeable difference in our utility costs.Everything was going well with the HVAC until about a year ago. We purchased a maintenance plan where Fox came out and serviced the units twice a year to do preventive maintenance. This was important to us because we travel and there's nothing worse than coming home from a trip to find a broken AC or heating unit. Last year, we had our maintenance done in October. Then in late October, the drain line failed. The line should have been checked a couple of weeks earlier during the maintenance service and there's no way that it got completely blocked in a couple of weeks of low AC usage. In addition to the line being blocked, the cut-off sensor that should have turned off the unit did not sense the water buildup. The backup drain line that should have drained the excess water also failed. The drain line failure flooded the lower floor of the house and caused about $10K in damage.This is where the review becomes mixed: the service person who came out to look at the unit showed up about 2 hours after we called (impressive!). He stayed for about 5 hours until the line was opened and he was sure that there would be no more water backup in the unit. He left around 9PM and because he stayed so long, I think he had to miss out on something that he had planned with his kids. That's example of what we consider going above and beyond the call of duty.We've left several messages with the manager at Fox asking him to call us and discuss how the line blockage was missed during the maintenance calls. We would also like to understand better how the overflow sensor that we paid for also failed and how the backup drain line also failed. In spite of leaving several messages, we have never heard from anyone at Fox.So, it's with reservation that I recommend Fox. I can recommend their work and I can say that you won't feel uncomfortable having their workers in your home. However, if something were to go wrong with their work, I can't guarantee that you will receive the same level of service from their management and I can't guarantee that their management will be accountable for anything that may go wrong. I would also recommend you ask about their maintenance plans and what performance guarantees those plans offer in the event something were to go wrong.

Over the course of this past weekend (104 degrees) we ended up with 2 broken cars and the AC unit to our house went out. It was grim all around, but Bradley showed up from Fox and and had the AC fixed within an hour. I had thought it was a wiring/thermostat issue, he checked that, but then quickly and correctly figured out it was a drain line blockage leading to the shut down, fixed it, and then told me how to keep it maintained so that it didn't happen again. He couldn't have been kinder or more professional, even as I was struggling with dogs and kid pickups and car towing while he was here. WIll use again.
Provided fairly timely response but charges for A/C capacitor part and labor appeared very excessive. With the excessive heat in Austin I felt like I was completely at their mercy. Update: company said they would contact me ASAP to discuss and it's been over 3 weeks and I still haven't heard back from them.

I made another appointment with Fox Service Company to install a new kitchen faucet, garbage disposal, and in-line filter for our ice maker. I asked for Shawn and was enthusiastically granted my request. Shawn did a stellar job of installing all three items and we had to added replacing both shutoff valves under the kitchen sink as they were badly corroded and inoperative. Shawn was very careful not to leave any mess behind and everything is working well and there have been no leaks. Shawn is very professional and knowledgeable and carries on a great conversation while working. I highly recommend Fox and Shawn for all your plumbing needs.
Fox installed a new HVAC today. The installer, Glass, was friendly, polite, helpful; he explained what he and the other technician were doing. We had a rattling noise coming from a newly installed HVAC unit. Fox Tech (Kevin Johnson) found during his diagnostic that the fan speed was set at 1200 CFM, the Y2 jumper wasnot cut and a shipping bolt for the blower motor was not removed. He removed the shipping bolt, adjusted CFM to 776 and cut the Y2 jumper on the board. He also checked the charge and lined the inside edges of the return grill with insulation tape. The system is now cold and as quiet as a mouse. GREAT JOB KEVIN.
Lately, it's hard to get contractors to respond, never mind show up and do a great job. I've used Fox for a number of tasks ranging from HVAC repair to significant upgrades to the electrical system. They respond promptly with quotes, and the crew on site are on time and professional. Definitely will continue to use them.

I have a maintenance plan with Fox to come out twice a year and it is so worth the price. Unlike many such plans, Fox notifies you when it’s about time for maintenance. You then schedule based on your convenience (not theirs) and they show up as arranged! The service staff does a thorough job of checking and cleaning things and there is no further cost. If you do need anything fixed, there’s a discount based on the maintenance plan. I’ve had them come three times now and it’s never cost an extra penny - fingers crossed. I have two HVAC units; one relatively new and the other being nursed along for a few more years hopefully. I have really appreciated their service under this program and felt it is helping prolong the life of this expensive equipment!

I needed a lightbulb replaced in a difficult location…in the ceiling, high above the stairway in the entryway of my home. I’m putting my home on the market tomorrow and am having an open house in 2 days. Fox Services installed an interlock switch and whole house surge protector. They did a great job. They were the lowest bid of the four electricians we interviewed as well. They even took a few minutes to help me configure the generator for use with the house. I would use them again.

Fox Service is expensive and overpriced. Diagnostics/Inspection cost quoted as $49, and the AC AmRad Turbo 200 capacitor part for my 2.5, that they put on to replace bad capacitor costs $60 on Amazon, but Fox Service billed me $510, that's over $400 over cost, not including whatever their labor expense is. Never again will I use them.

Quote was extremely high for what I'm reading should be about an hours worth of work. Parts are under warranty yet they still quoted me $1000 to replace the gas regulator/valve on our water heater. When I declined they tried to knock of the $99 service fee which makes it still too high from what I'm reading. I kind of feel like the guy didn't want to do it so he quoted me some huge number.Was told they'd wear a mask too... nope. I have been using Fox Service Company for our HVAC servicing and won't be doing that again.I'll wait the three weeks for the plumber I prefer and just deal with the cold water.Edit: My preferred plumber came early, $189. Feels like the $99 service free was a complete waste of money at this point. I'll be following up with the company via phone.
Prompt friendly service. Ridiculously overpriced. $370.00 for the technician to sand a corroded thermocouple. I did not get an estimate of the cost before the service. I would have pid the 49.99 consultation fee and sanded it myself. He didn’t even have a new one to install so for that cost there is nothing new. Just about four minutes of sanding. I am looking for a dependent HVAC folks in Pflugerville hit me up.Thank you Robert for promptly reaching out and resolving this issue. The Fox plumber arrived on-time, masked, compliant and considerate. He assessed the plumbing issue, as we expected we needed to replace a toilet. He spent a little time making arrangements with his office and another plumber to get a replacement toilet delivered so he could pull the old one and set the replacement/new toilet without having to make another visit on another day. He spent his lunch break in his truck waiting for the new toilet to be delivered.He was efficient, friendly, polite, and clear about the problems and showing us the trouble. I have had several great experiences over the years with their plumbers and electricians. I also called them recently for hvac work but was somewhat disappointed in that department vs the service I have come to expect from FOX plumbers and electricians. So, FOX Service Company continues to be my first call for plumbing and electrical repairs, but I will use another vendor for HVAC maintenance.
Responsive and fast professional service. Definitely buy lunch for Clay. Send him for any electrical problems I may have in the future.
They let me know they were coming about 45 minutes before they got here. They showed up when they said they would. They did the job.

Forrest and Glass were AWE-mazing. They fixed the AC compressor at our wildlife rescue and even helped carry some heavy bags of dog food!! They helped get the humans and the creatures into the cool AC air and genuinely seemed to care about all our creatures (and us!!)

Stetson did a great job with our annual electrical inspection. Fox had been our home maintenance company for many years. We had our AC/Heat Pump go out right as the severe 2021 winter storm was coming on. The roads were snowed in and we lost water for six days and power for three days. The first day that the road was passable to our house they had a crew in to repair the broken water pipes and the very next day they sent in a crew with a new Lennox Heat Pump system for us. They were here by 9:30AM and done before 4. They laid tarps down everywhere they worked and cleaned the areas thoroughly when done. The only way that we knew they were there was from the system working quietly and flawlessly. We've found that they aren't always the least expensive on bids from some of the competition, but they are fair, thorough, reliable, and very, very professional. We're happy with the purchase and the price. They stand by their work and we're very grateful to them for their efforts to take care of our water and heating needs during this time. We highly recommend Fox for heating/AC and other home service needs.

Absolutely the worse experience ever with an electrician! He was more interested scaring me by pointing out everything wrong with the wiring in my home than problem solving why two outlets weren’t working. He was on a roll opening up as many outlets as possible. Seems he wanted to interest me in rewriting my entire house! He finally left after 5 hours (he did get one outlet to work.) He damaged/chipped my bathroom sink & cracked two outlet covers (one was specifically cut for the spot.) I have already ordered a new sink, but will need to hire someone to install it. The only good thing was that he had enough sense not to charge me. If I do get a bill, I will deduct what it costs me to fix all of the damage. What a setback- I’m still recovering from a frozen/broken water pipe. Awful experience!I would like to add that I did receive a call regarding a new sink. I changed the rating from 1 to 2 stars, because Tom was very nice & said Fox would like to pay for my new sink. In addition, my bill was changed to $0.

HVAC servicing / they came and assess the system, considering I have a 30year old system, they suggested to replace so many things that was not really required. For $200, they plug their hvac gauge to see how much freon I had in/pressure, telling me it was leaking. Wash the external unit, measure the temperature, told me the motor is making noise and needed replacement and make me a steep quote.Quote was: a leak check for $850, 6lb of freon for $1750, and a new motor for $1300.I found 4lbs of freon online for $175, a motor for $300, and bought a fancy digital hvac gauge for $175.I would not recommend them. I have used them successfully in the past and was happy, this time I was very unhappy of their attitude.No thank you.

The service several years ago was great; I used Fox Service Company to repair my three residential HVAC systems, repair vents/ducts, and add blown insulation to my attics. Recently I had them replace one of my HVAC systems with a new one and signed up for their maintenance plan. The day of install of the new HVAC, they installed an AC unit that was lower end than what I paid for in the proposal; they said it was temporary. It took several weeks and some phone calls as well as emails to get the AC unit I paid for installed. I was told they would setup appointments for maintenance on the other HVAC systems but no one at Fox Service Company contacted me. I am unsatisfied with the service I received so I request a refund for the maintenance plan but I had to file a BBB complaint because Fox Service Company did not reply to my emails and calls for a refund. DO NOT USE Fox Service Company for heating and air conditioning!UPDATE 9-11-2021: I received a call from the General Manager of Fox Service Company as well as received the refund as requested. Thank you Fox Service Company General Manager for your professionalism and honesty in resolving my complaint quickly.UPDATE 6-14-2022: Late January new system stopped working, nothing was turning on. Called out AirCo services who diagnosed problem is overflow switches and urged me to call Fox to fix it because I had warranty on it. AirCo advised me to demand a supervisor or senior tech from Fox come out. Fox senior tech came and evaluated system to discover it was completely installed wrong. It took the Fox senior tech two days to fix all the installation problems, practically reinstalling my new AC system. Thank god it was under warranty!

Fox installed my HVAC system 8 years ago and it’s been great. I received several bids from various companies before going with Fox due to their superior expertise, competitive pricing, and great customer service.Mark Gatewood supervised the installation- no easy task in my 100 year-old home- and was great to work with. Kevin Johnson, who’s serviced the unit for regular preventative maintenance the last couple of calls, has been excellent. Friendly, incredibly knowledgeable, and thorough. I feel completely prepared for the hot summer months to come. Best in the business.
Disappointed that technician initially tried to charge me $900 to install parts on my water heater (parts were provided by manufacturer at no charge) I guess because I’m a middle age blonde woman he thought he would take advantage. He then said he could do work for $255 and acted like he was doing me a favor. Work was done quickly and proficiently. I wouldn’t recommend simply because I don’t like companies that try to overcharge.
I’ve used Fox for two major AC replacement and plenty of maintenance. They’re the only ones I want to use in the future too. They’ll never be your cheapest option, but you can count on a worry-free experience. They set expectations and explain option clearly. They work through any unexpected situations to make sure you’re getting exactly what you planned. I especially appreciate the time they take on fit and finish of the work site so the installation looks good too. They’re generous and fair with their warranty service so you don’t have to ask them to do the right thing.

2022 update - Several years later and they are still my favorites. Rick C came out for a check in and I mentioned that I had noticed a small issue. After a few minutes, he found that it was a much larger issue, and stayed to correct the issue until everything was working like new. He even put up with my cats attempting to be apprentices. Several years in I feel like I'm still in the honeymoon phase with them, and their work has always been pristine and affordable.These guys are always on time, helpful and dont try to get you to buy all the things. They provide you with options and as much info as needed to make your best decision. I now use them for ac, plumbing and electrical and couldn't be happier.

Plumbing inspection was completed in timely fashion and the technician provided good information about the status. He advised us what needed repair and we are considering our options. Electrical inspection was also completed on the same day and the technician was again very thorough and professional.

Technician said the blower was burned up and a control board was also inoperable. Said parts would be +/- $2500. Salesman gave 3 quotes, the lowest being $9000. Obviously I sought a second opinion. My air handler was repaired with a $10 capacitor. Don’t fall for Fox’s scare tactics. Get a second opinion. Not all repair/service companies are looking to take advantage of our lack of knowledge. Beware.

I had two new water heaters installed at my home. The service technician was very professional and the work was performed in a professional manner. HOWEVER, one of the new water heaters that was installed was defective and now I am on the fourth day with no hot water from that heater. The installer says that it is a warranty issue with the manufacturer (on a NEW unit that has never worked yet), and I have no way to contact the manufacturer and have not been able to get any further support or even a follow up response to my support request. When I have called the company the representative who has answered the phone has not been able to help me, and has promised that someone will call me back but until now (day 4) nobody has contacted me after daily calls to their support team. ****** Update: right after posting this review Fox contacted me and had their plumbing supervisor come to my house. He was very professional and spent time on the phone with Rheem to diagnose the issue. They promised to overnight parts that actually arrived several days later. After the parts were installed the heater still didn’t work so more parts were ordered. After two days they arrived and were installed and the heater still didn’t work. So a new heater was ordered and about a week later it was installed and it is working well. So all’s we’ll that ends well but it was a huge hassle for me and for Fox to deal with the defective water heater that required four appointments and almost three weeks to get resolved. Adjusting review from two stars to four stars.
**Update- It should be noted that since writing this review- Fox came out to fix the situation for us in late April. Hence, I added a star to the overall review:Fox replaced our HVAC unit in February. They spent hours beforehand inspecting the situation & giving my husband a long list of woeful issues related to our HVAC. They upsold us on the need for a larger, more expensive unit for our downstairs system, but they FAILED TO NOTICE THAT A LARGE PORTION OF OUR DOWNSTAIRS WAS BEING COOLED BY THE UPSTAIRS UNIT!!! Hence, the expensive system that they recommended is not appropriate for the needs downstairs, and the upstairs unit may be working harder than it should. They will not take responsibility and make it right.I should also mention that their workers are in such a hurry that they damaged some spots to our house when pulling out the old unit.Very disappointing.

We own a rental home and discovered - the night before we had a family arriving and in a terrifically bitter cold snap - that our heater wasn't working. Fox - and Eric D. - literally saved us (and the family - who were blissfully unaware that there was ever a problem!). We called around 2:00, and were grateful that Fox had an after hours appointment they could give us that evening (6:00). But about 30 minutes later we got a phone call from Eric saying that one of his earlier clients had cancelled, and would it be convenient for us if he came then. It was incredible - and he was incredible. Super friendly and knowledgeable - figured out the problem in no time at all and promptly fixed it. We couldn't have been more grateful and we couldn't have asked for better service. Thanks so much ya'll at Fox!!!

I had Fox Service perform heating maintenance on my 2 heat pumps. The technician was prompt, polite, and very helpful. He explained all relevant issues and answered my questions.
Technician was rude, hurried and of course said I needed $2500 worth of repairs or may system could go out any minute. And then acted frustrated when I did not immediately ask him to do the extra work. Fox has gone up every year on their annual maintenance agreement fee and is now seemingly trying to gouge loyal customers for more work. Problem is, I have no idea is this tech was being honest or not. And now I am going to have to pay for another company to come out to get a second opinion. Very disappointed with Fox.

We ended up without power to half of our house less than 12 hours before we were supposed to board a flight out of town for a funeral. We called around 4:00 am and left a message with the 24-hour call line. The on-call technician (Scott) called us back by 5:00 am and was incredibly helpful and understanding of our situation. He was able to give us interim guidance to help figure out the main issue. Once we realized it was a faulty breaker (and not something on the City of Austin side of things) they scheduled us with a technician (Robert) for that afternoon AND assured us that we didn't need to be present as long as they could have contact with someone in order to enter the house if needed. Needless to say, we both really appreciated the customer service and willingness to take care of our electrical issues so we could visit our family as intended. Everything was restored appropriately and the price was very reasonable. (We did reach out to other companies that were also 24-hours and were told a technician from another company could get to us a bit sooner, BUT we still elected to go with Fox because of the customer service AND the help they provided over the phone at 5 am).
Fox Electrician did a great job of drop light and Fan install and ran a new outlet into the room through the wall. Very Professional and as always Fox Electricians use top quality fixtures and cabling.
Technical was knowledgeable and fixed the problem in one hour. While there, he stayed a bit longer to check out the other unit and fixed a problem we didn't know was emerging. Will use again without hesitation.

I was favorably impressed with Shawn. He was courteous, patient and clear in his communication with me. He appeared to be knowledgeable and efficient in his work. He explained what he was going to do and gave reasonably accurate estimates of time to complete each task. His cost estimate was accurate and he made me aware of a coupon I could print out from the website for a discount. I was as pleased with the experience as was possible under the circumstances.I was not as impressed with the 24-hour service. I called at 12:35 AM to report my emergency situation -- an actively leaking water heater. I never received a call from the on-call technician. I was forced to spend all night mopping up water with towels, rinsing the towels out, then mopping again. I received service only after calling at 8:00 AM. That was disappointing.
They installed generator hook-up to my main breaker box. Electrician did a great job in understanding what I needed, sourcing materials and installing. Very satisfied and would recommend highly.
The guys showed up on time. They were extremely professional. Their estimate on how long it would take was pretty accurate. I was in video meetings during a lot of their work and they seemed to be extra careful to make less noise when I was on those calls because the people I met with said that they didn't notice them. Overall - great job!

I have used Fox Service for both my home and my business for nearly 20 years. They are responsive, professional, and they do great work.Responsive - Someone always answers the phone, and if they don’t have the answers, they are good about having someone follow up who does. Fox has a lot of trucks on the road, and this means that they can usually get to me quickly.Professional - I have always experienced courteous and knowledgeable technicians, whether it was a plumber, and electrician, or HVAC tech. My questions get answered, and they make sure I understand any maintenance items to stay on top of moving forward.Great work - I can only think of 1 or 2 instances when I asked them to come back to take care of a problem that didn’t get completely resolved the first time. And in those instances, they made it a priority to come back quickly, and they resolved the issue.I gave them 4 stars instead of 5 because Fox is not the cheapest company out there. But I do believe that you get what you pay for, and the value of their work makes them worth it. I highly recommend Fox Service!

Steve did a great job on our water heater replacement and system descaling today. Our water heater hadn’t been properly maintained and he helped solve our flow problems. Trustworthy, on time, fair price. Have used them for electrical as well- a great one stop shop for your home repair needs.

Fox has always been my go to for HVAC problems. When I needed a new HVAC system in a house we rent out, I turned to them. They assured that my tenants received cooling until the new unit arrived. However, it took more than a month after installation for the thermometer to be installed.

We purchased a home in which Fox had recently installed a new A/C and furnace. Two months in we had issues and after a quick call, Fox immediately sent a service tech out to look at the unit. Scott was amazing and finished the job while I had to run to a meeting. He texted when it was complete, explained what he did, and even locked the door on his way out. I would 100% recommend Fox (and especially Scott) again!
Jeremy was very professional and very helpful with the issue with my hot water heater. Showed up on time. Explained the alternatives to the level of detail that I asked for. Was good about honestly sharing the limit of his knowledge and then calling in for additional info. Was able to quickly locate the problem and get a part locally so that we didn't have to schedule a second visit. I had three appointments with Fox Service technicians in one morning, plumbing, electrical and AC/Heat. The experience was outstanding. Each performed their jobs efficiently and answered all of my questions where I had concerns about operations. A couple of areas needed to be corrected where the builder failed to install a part to meet code and contracter installed a part wrong in the AC/Heat unit causing the unit not to function properly. This house is only three years old. I can't say enough about how glad I was to rely on Fox Service and their professional technicians.

Today Daniel T. from Fox Service Company came out to do a heating inspection as per our service contract with Fox. The inspection was very thorough and everything was explained to me as he did the inspection. Daniel went above and beyond helping me with changing my air filters and providing me with information on my system and the different filter systems that are available. He showed me pictures of my system as he explained what he had done. He checked my vents to be sure they were all open and thoroughly checked all the components of my system. I had been wondering if my service contract was worthwhile but thanks to the professionalism and helpfulness of the service technician, I will definitely continue to use Fox. Replaced entire system recently for two-story home. Branden has been easily accessible, gave honest insight into what system my home needed, and has stayed on top of the work as it was being completed. The rest of the team, from receptionists to technicians, was equally professional, consistently on time, and friendly throughout. After watching this team work, I feel confident that adding the optional 10 year warranty was money well spent. I know I can trust FOX to do the work right if anything happens. I just needed AC refrigerant recharged. The refrigerant costs about $5.60 per lb. They would not discuss pricing with me until the tech arrived which was a day and a half after my scheduled service. They asked me for over $100 per lb of something that’s super cheap. More than double what other companies charge. I told them to leave otherwise this simple job would have cost me an extra $300

Posting on my husbands behalf..In January of this year my heater broke down and stopped working. I have a wife and 3 small children at home and the temperature outside was cold. I have had issues with most companies that have come to my residence in the past to make repairs on different items or appliances so I am very hesitant to call repair companies. A neighbor had informed me of what they called a “trustworthy” company that could help me with my heater repair. They referenced FOX SERVICE COMPANY. I was still very hesitant to call, but due to the circumstances, contacted them for assistance. I was SHOCKED by the service I received. Let me start by saying I am a traditional individual. The employee “tech” that showed up to my residence showed up earlier than scheduled, which was delightful seeing how punctuality these days is scarce. The tech was friendly and courteous, explaining any issues he observed every step of the way. His physical presentation was professional meaning he showed up in a neat uniform, not looking sloppy or unprofessional. Even though he was having difficulties locating the exact issue, he explained it to me, contacted another tech who made location for further assistance. I love the fact that there was NO procrastination and that instead of wasting my time pretending that the issue was remedied, the first tech called for assistance and a second tech made location, which again showed up prior to the time scheduled. The second tech was just as professional and presentable as the first. Together they remedied the problem and my family was able to keep warm. The cost was fair and within reason. After the second tech left an employee with FOX management showed up to my residence. His name was Brandon. Brandon was again a breath of fresh air. Brandon was polite and very professional. He wanted to assure that our needs were met and double check that the service provided was done correctly. I don’t think I have ever dealt with employees of any company that ever provided such quality service. It made me feel calm inside without the anxiety that I have normally had when dealing with other companies. FOX SERVICE COMPANY definitely felt like a family oriented company. The two techs and Brandon, I would like to applaud for their professional and quality service. As far as I am concerned FOX SERVICE COMPANY just became part of my family and will be my families “go-to” if I ever have future issues with my heater or Air Conditioning Unit. I called Fox Service Company for some plumbing issues—a toilet leaking from the tank and another toilet that was phantom flushing. The plumber who came, Steve Garcia, examined both toilets. The leaking one was not leaking while he was here today, so he recommended that I just keep an eye on it for now. If it starts leaking again, I’m supposed to give him a call. He said it could be a hairline crack in the tank or it could be a gasket. The phantom flushing toilet did not appear to be running, so he put some food coloring in the tank to see if it would show up in the bowl. It might take a while, so I’m supposed to call if it does. I was really glad that no repairs were done before properly diagnosing the problems. Steve was very knowledgeable and courteous and explained things very well. I have used Fox Service Company for 19 years. I’m one of their Priority One customers. They have done all sorts of things for me, including installing a new HVAC unit and replacing my gas water heater recently. I have always been very happy with the quality of the technicians and the service I have received.

Service preformed: repair of broken pvc water supply line. Before beginning the repair the plumber quoted a price of $582. I asked: “is the $99 service call charge included in the $582” He replied “yes”. When he presented the bill it was for $691. I said: “But you told me when you arrived that the service fee was included in the $582”. He replied: “Oh I’m sorry, I misunderstood “. I use quotation marks as the conversation was just as I quote and represents the plumber’s admission of his MISUNDERSTANDING.I don’t mean to represent this is a bait and switch but I don’t think I should be charged for his misunderstanding and would hope to be refunded the service call.

I had a Fox Service Company come out and do an AC check on my system as it was installed back in 2004 and I want to try and get as much life out it before having to purchase a new one. I was impressed by how thorough, knowledgeable, and customer service oriented the tech (Daniel) was. He did a great job and offered a lot of good practical advice that will definitely extend the life of my ac system. I signed up for there twice a year maintenance program which I thought was a good deal. I recommend Fox for their ac/heating maintenance program and definitely ask for Daniel as the tech.
I called same day asking for service on my HVAC and both Luis and Matthew showed up within 4 hours to take a look at my house. They were very professional and polite the throughout our entire conversation. By providing me recommendations I feel more confident about creating a plan to address my HVAC needs over time. Thank you Fox Service Company for being upfront with customers and hiring quality employees.

I wanted to have a Whole Home Surge Protector installed at my residence. I was able to have Technician come to my home to assess work to be done within a couple of days after contacting your company. Technician answered all my questions about products that are used. I was emailed a detailed proposal of work to be completed within 2 days of assessment. Technician arrived promptly to perform work on scheduled day. He was very professional and took time to explain what he was doing throughout the installment. I will contact your company for all electrical work in the future. I have recommended your company and technician to a couple of neighbors already! Keep up the great work!
Robert was great and easily fixed the leaky pipe and broken bath fixture. The home warranty plumber that came out wanted to rip out the wall and re do the plumbing $$$. Robert looked at it, identified we needed an easy to get part and fixed it.I have canceled the home warranty and plan on using Fox for everything . Ya they may be a little higher price but it gets fixed by a pro and in this case the pro was cheaper than the home warranty service .

I had my home HVAC system replaced and couldn't be happier. I had met one of the technicians a year ago for maintenance and he was concerned, rightly so, about the longevity of my old system. Eric is incredibly thorough, sincere, courteous and kind. He's the kind of person that inspires trust without being pushy, so I requested him for the installation of the new system. He and his partner, Curtis, were amazingly dedicated in the installation. There were all sorts of last-minute problems like inadequate pre-existing wiring, but the two of them soldiered through every obstacle with great professionalism and even a sense of humor. At one point, there was concern that there was a 6'-plus snake in my attic and yet they continued on. It was a long day and they were there until almost midnight without a single complaint (not one that I could hear at any rate). I was passed out on the floor a few times near the end, but they just worked around me. Seriously, if you need HVAC work, these are the guys to ask. I recommend them wholeheartedly and without reservation.

I can't recommend Jason from Fox Plumbing enough. He did an exceptional job getting to the root of an issue I had with my water heater. Backed by Fox, Jason delivered knowledgeable and excellent customer service after a not so great experience with another plumber that had been unable to properly diagnosis/fix the problem. He was very empathetic with the hassle and added expense the first plumber had caused and worked with me to get everything taken care of to my satisfaction. Super nice guy too.
Called Fox out for a last minute electrical issue while I’m in the closing process for selling my condo. Dominic was absolutely amazing, got there after hours at night and fixed it. The absolute worst timing for an electrical issue but am extremely happy with him being able to resolve it in a timely matter.
I would like to speak highly of Glass and Andrew's HVAC work they performed today. Originally, they came to replace a damper (which identified not working by another person who came 2 days ago). Andrew and Glass are so responsible and professional and they did an investigation again before the real work and they found out the damper is working correctly and it is the system issue for heating mode. They could just replace the damper and finish their job, earn the money and go away, but they are not. They are so professional and thoughtful for customer to find real problem and resolve it with patience.It is really a nice experience. Thanks again for your professional service.

ELECTRICAL REPAIRSMy house is old. Almost as old as I am, give or take a decade or two. Old houses can be kind of cool if you know what to look for. But they also come with problems... like bad electrical wiring, worn-out connections, wiring that is no longer up to code, and wiring configurations that are not adequate to meet the needs of modern electrical appliances. These are not happy thoughts.Thank heavens for Juran Addison from Fox Service Company! With his help and expert advice, I was able to begin planning a long-term project of upgrading the electrical wiring throughout the house. The work was done in several stages.He installed new LED lights in the guest bathroom, repaired faulty electrical outlets, and applied copper wire repairs for the aluminum wiring in several other outlets and switches. He then ran diagnostics to locate and correct any remaining problems. He installed a grounding electrode system and whole home surge protector. Finally, he did a complete service rebuild of both the inside and outside electrical panels to bring them up to code.Thanks to Juran, I now have an electrical system that will be able to support a convection stove and a Bolt EV. I'm absolutely delighted!The project is not finished yet. We were interrupted by the unprecedented freeze in February. Once I have the fallout from that under control, I plan to resume work on the electrical wiring. There are still several things that need to be done and I am looking forward to getting started again.I sincerely appreciate Juran's diligence and professional expertise. I am also very grateful for his patience because I changed my mind more than once about what I wanted to do. All in all, it has been a pleasure working with him. I am confident that any job he undertakes will be done with utmost skill and efficiency.

My 20 year old HVAC unit has been crippling along since last summer. After a couple of freon recharges and band-aids to keep it moving, I decided to bite the bullet and replace it. I did my homework and had about 5 bids to replace both the inside and outside unit.Matthew came to my house and talked to me about my options for replacement. He was prompt, professional, responsive, informative and genuine. Matthew explained everything in a way I could understand. I didn't decide to go with Fox right away. He checked in on me without pressuring me to go with their company. I can't say enough good things about his service.Installation day - Kelvin and Manny showed up on time. They were respectful (my install was in the midst of COVID-19), wore their masks, prompt and did an excellent job on the install. Lastly, I had spray insulation added to my attic. Glass and Angel were the installers. They too were prompt, professional, friendly and did a very nice job with the spray installation. Both crews seemed to be happy with their jobs and enjoy what they were doing. Matthew even sent a pizza for lunch to one of the crews and they were very grateful for that!Overall my experience with Fox was EXCELLENT! They were not the least expensive of the bids but their price was competitive. I love that they handled the Lennox rebates (which I waited to do this review until I received it) and also took care of the COA rebate process. I felt they did an honest job with professional from start to finish. This was a big home investment for me so I wanted to make sure I went for quality and not for some fly by night company that might not last the 10 years to follow through with the warranty work. In this case, I feel I got what I paid for and I am extremely satisfied and grateful for their service!

A couple weeks ago our air conditioner stopped working at 7 pm the night before we went on vacation. Horrible timing. We called Fox Service to fix it because they installed our new HVAC unit 4 years ago. They offer an after hours service for instances just like ours. The tech came out by midnight and was able to fix the problem in less than an hour. He charged us for the part but kindly advised us to contact the office in the morning to see if it was under warranty. I called after we returned from vacation and the service manager said he would give me an answer within 2 business days. He called me back the next day and told me the part was covered under warranty and that we would receive a refund for it within 3-4 weeks. Less than 2 weeks later we received the refund check in the mail. This is a great company and they do what they say they are going to do!

Matthew came out to assess what was wrong with our ac the morning after we put in a request. He was very friendly and answered all of our questions. We decided to get a new unit because or ac was 18 years old and we didn’t want to put money into something that might need another repair soon. Matt sent us a few quotes, set us up with someone to install the day after we decided to go with fox. The person who set us up was very knowledgeable and gave us a lot of information on how to take care of our ac. So far a really good experience and the ac unit is up and running great!
I never remember peoples names which is unfortunate because the electrician sent ( last name Crandall from receipt) was extremely knowledgeable and really walked me through the electrical outlet repair. I also had an inspection report from a new house we just bought and he let me pick is brain on the reports electrical findings. He really was super nice and took the time to make sure I understood the electrical code and even how some came to be “current” code( pun intended.)I would use again for sure...
Fox weatherizing service is fantastic! I recommend without any reservations. They completed all work as stated. They were professional and thorough. They explained the why behind their work in very understandable terms. I really appreciate that extra education. Major bonus, they leave the house like they entered it. The crew cleaned my entry way better than I usually do. Definitely give this friendly team a try.
Now my patience has worn out. I called Fox as a listed preferred service provider for Mitsubishi mini-split AC repair. One of my 3 units (one for each bedroom) was not cooling. The repair guy came out, spent about 45 minutes cleaning the coils, and claimed it was now blowing much cooler and was fixed. I paid $348 for the work. However, it was not blowing cooler My partner went on the Mitsubishi website and saw videos on the need for cleaning behind the coils, specifically the blower wheel. The videos showed how to do it and with some effort, she gained access and sure enough it was caked solid with dust, etc. She cleaned it herself, with a vacuum attachment, and it seemed to do the trick.Since the website says satisfaction guaranteed, and the problem was not fixed, Sarah called Fox to tell what happened and ask for a full refund. The service woman indicated this would likely not be a problem but we had to speak to a manager. They called back once, we missed the call. I have now called 3 times, two of these after writing up the details and submitting them online. Twice I was assured that the online write up had been received and I would be called back by a residential HVAC manager. That still has not happened. Fox might be good on other appliances, but they don't know much about mini-splits, or at least the service guy they sent didn't know, and now the follow up has been less than professional. This is really not okay.
Called Fox Plumbing about a broken water pipe. They told us they could send someone out the next morning but to turn off our water. This morning we woke up and called just to confirm and according to the gentleman working today, there was a miscommunication and they were not able to come. My family has been without water now for over 24 hours without a contingency plan due to Fox Plumbing telling us wrong information and having no solution. Will never call Fox Plumbing again for service and will be sure to let friends and family know about how unprofessional they were.

Daniel Toney from Fox Service came to our home today to perform the annual checkup for our AC unit. He spent about 4 hours and completed a thorough check of the outside and inside units. He advised us that we needed to replace a start-up capacitor for the compressor motor and sold us on the idea of adding a kick-start. In addition, he found some issues with the indoor unit and repaired some vent joints to eliminate air leaking into the attic. He also advised us on the wisdom of adding a float valve switch to shut the system down before overflow from the water storage. Daniel was very competent and professional. He has an excellent demeanor and we were very impressed with him personally. He was very careful with all his work and we will ask Fox to send him again for our future checkups and repairs.
Everyone that I dealt with at Fox was great, starting with Cary Weaver. He was friendly and professional in describing his quote to me and explaining every aspect of it. Once I agreed to a complete replacement of my home air conditioner, the installers, David and OB, arrived on time and completed the job with no negative incidents. They answered all of my questions, completed the job as scheduled, and performed a thorough cleaned up. They too were professional and courteous to me and my wife. I give Fox Service Co. 5 stars for overall satisfaction an have no qualms about recommending Fox to anyone.Thank you for a job well done.
I dealt specifically with Waylon and he was rude and unprofessional. I'll eat the trip fee on this and call someone else versus letting him back in our house. I have used this company on one prior occasion and had no issue then. But Waylon has no business dealing with customers.Save your money and call someone else. There are plenty of other options.12/23 Follow up: Waylon sent a bid to replace the entire system for $6,000 before leaving the property that first day. Three days later, they cobbled together a $2200 repair quote and sent it. The day after Waylon's visit, a DIFFERENT COMPANY came out and handled the repair promptly and efficiently for $140.AGAIN I SAY, TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE!
We just moved into a 20 year old home, and wanted to be sure that the HVAC system was in decent shape, so we called and arranged for an inspection. Our serviceman Curtis Luther did a great job inspecting, servicing, and explaining what I should do going forward. I agreed to sign up for an annual servicing of both the heating and cooling system, and would use Curtis again

We just had a new heating and air conditioning system installed in our home by Fox Service Company in Austin, TX. They went above and beyond in explaining our options and also went above and beyond in the installation! We are very happy with our new system and highly recommend this company!
The serviceman (Steve) was on time. He said what he believed the solution was and gave me options. I told him what I wanted and left him to accomplish the task. I've had this water flow problem for years. If the task was easy or simple I would have taken care of it years ago. Steve said what he was going to do, how long it would take and by golly, he did it. I am very happy, obviously with the outcome but also with the courtesy and care Steve gave me. It won't be difficult for me to choose Fox next time I have a plumbing issue.
Steve was great! We were in a pinch on a Friday night with a gushing kitchen faucet. Steve was able to talk us through a quick fix until we could find a more permanent solution. I worked with Fox as part of the Austin Energy efficiency program. From start to finish they did an excellent job not only with the work performed, but also with guiding me and being there throughout the whole process. The gentlemen that did the work, Juan, Rick, and Sebastian exemplified professionalism and courtesy. They performed the work with care and diligence working almost 12 hour days. As well, they took pride in their work and cleaned everything with each visit to the point where one couldn't even tell we were having work done. Fox is great if you want the company to come out and fix a single problem. They are fast, efficient and easy to book. I have ran into a road block with FSC recently. I need a quote for 19 AC/Heating units that need repaired. Two service techs have come out and neither one of them have contacted us regarding the quote we requested. I have called and after being on hold for about 7 min I was told that we have a designated account rep. This made me happy and they were going to transfer me. The man said leave a message and my rep will call me back. I asked if I could get his direct number in-case he did not call me back and I was told they are not allowed to give out direct numbers. I am confused. If you want my business why would you not give me my account reps information. Not to happy with the corporate customer service.

Fox Service just installed 2 Bryant HVAC systems for us and the entire experience was fantastic from start to finish. The prices quoted were excellent and we financed the systems, a 10 year warranty for parts+labor and inline UV purification units. I evaluated 5 quotes and Fox's stood out as the best deal for our needs. It wasn't the cheapest nor was it the most expensive but it was the best package.Branden Belk, sales and project manager, is very knowledgeable and responsive. Even when a potential glitch popped up during installation, he handled the situation quickly and adeptly. And did so again when an issue occurred with the power supply to our pool pump. The level of service certainly exceeded my expectations.The installation crews were all professional and competent. I'd like to give a shout out to O.B., Luis, Juan, Vincent, Trevor, Bryant, Kelvin and Evan. Each of them did a fantastic job.Our new units are very efficient, quiet and the whole house is more comfortable. I can't believe that the whole project only took 2 weeks from the initial sales visit to project completion!

the repair that was done lasted all of 7 hours I was told it would be a temp fix but it didnt last 24 hours for a charge of 600.00 . I wouldn't have done it if I wasn't desperate for heat as I was sick with covid! I do apprecate that they came out under the circumstances! but felt like the charge for a jump start on compressor was a little high!
Fox installed a new hvac unit in my home on 22 Sep 2017. We returned from vacation, and no AC. They scheduled a new installation in a matter of 2 days. I can't praise them enough. The technicians were absolutely great. Very professional, and courteous. This is a truly outstanding company. I checked with another company, and they were very price competitive. Fox Service came out on a Saturday evening within 30 minutes of my call. Our AC suddenly stopped cooling (as they often do this time of year) and they were able to get repairs made within an hour. The tech was incredibly patient and professional. The project manager reached out to me the next day to schedule a consultation so we can work out a plan of action for the next steps. We needed a gas valve shut off/capped and called Fox. The plumber Stephen was polite, professional and arrived on time. Have used them off/on over the years for plumbing and electrical work. Fox supplies support for my home plumbing, electrical, heating and air conditioning. They are prompt and reliable. They never have to re-do anything. They are a bit pricey, but worth it.
I was very pleased with the service representative from Fox. Scott took the time to trouble shoot my furnace problem even though initially there did not seem to be a problem. He was patient and eventually the symptoms returned. He quickly found the problem, explained what was happening and offered options, making sure I understood the costs associated with each option.My experience with Fox, specifically Scott Bandy, was positive. Requested an estimate for repairing the plumbing leaks under kitchen sink. Jeremy initially refused to provide, saying the it was unrepairable and insisting that the kitchen needed to be completely remodeled. (I already had one estimate for the job from another company) After some discussion, he reluctantly agreed to provide estimate. He also refused to take my coupon, which Ben at the office had said I could use when I made the appointment two weeks prior. Jeremy stated that Ben didn't know what he was talking about. Jeremy did take 15% off the bill. Summary - I spent $84 for 20 minutes of Jeremy's time for an unusable estimate.
Needed trouble-shooting to resolve error messages coming from thermostat. Sam came promptly, explained the problem clearly, fixed it completely. Fox can be relied upon for professional work.
Rodney provided top notch service. I am 8.5mo pregnant- great time for AC failure in central TX! He was out to my house (which is very out of the way in the country) within 1.5hrs. Our hot water heater started leaking at 2 AM. We called four 24/7 plumbers and Fox was the only one that answered. The 3 others had a voicemail and called us back at 8 Am. Not exactly emergency plumbers like they advertise. Steve with Fox FaceTimed us immediately and helped my husband determine where the leak was and located the shut off valve. He determined we possibly needed a new water heater and couldn’t do anything until morning. Our living room ceiling was flooded so he referred us to a water restoration company and called us two more times just to check on us before his company opened. He was so kind and helpful when we were stressed and completely lost. Thank you Steve! Rafael was also great the next morning and was there all day helping us. He too was wonderful!

I had a bad experience this company. Their technicians are shady and dishonest. The first one was The HVAC tech who wasn’t able to diagnose the issue and charged me $150 for coming and draining the water line. He blamed the issue on plumbing and called the office to send a plumber. The plumber is clueless and did zero effort to find out what the issue is. He then wanted to charge me $250 to drain a line ! I asked him to just leave. This company is dishonest and unprofessional.
It was a relief to have Fox take a crisis off my shoulders. My parents are in their early ‘90s and their power went off at 11:30pm on a night that preceded record high temperatures (108d). The City restored neighborhood power at 3am, but my parents’ power didn’t come back on. Mr. Scott Martin of Fox Service responded to my emergency call at 4:00am, and he assessed the situation, provided me a verbal, followed by written, estimate and supervised the complete replacement of my parent’s outdated electrical service panel. He filed city permits and initiated work only one business day after I approved the bid. Incredibly, he completed the project in one day, finishing a day early and under budget. The company reduced the final invoice accordingly (almost unheard of these days). They did excellent quality work. I had previously used them at my house, and I will certainly use them again when necessary.
Our home has had a long-standing problem with low water pressure. Our irrigation tech suggested we have a plumber check out the pressure release valve. We have used Fox Services plumbers for years, so we asked one to come out. Steve and his partner solved our problem at below cost and in less time than estimated. They thoroughly checked out our problem and figured out how to fix it and save us money. For the first time in 20 years our sprinklers outside and our faucets inside all run great. We have been Fox customers for plumbing and HVAC going on 20 years. Another great job.
My experience has not been great. Made an appointment for electrical service and they were a no-show. Hired them for HVAC maintenance: first appointment went well but the second appointment was all about the hard sell of a Bryant system (a good unit, according to CR) due to 'leaks' and 'age' - got a second opinion and that has not turned out to be true; not sure if this was the tech being greedy/desperate but I am likely to look elsewhere for my needs from now on. To their credit, the phone folks are always super professional and courteous.

We walked into our house tonight and there was smoke in the air and it smelled like burning rubber. I called the fire department, and then I called fox service company. Fox Service sent their electrician named Stetson. He was very helpful and explained everything he was doing while he tested the entire electrical system, identified the problems, and stopped them. He quickly found that the hot water heater was wet inside the wiring and was arching. Translation - there was a fire inside my house that easily could have burned the whole thing down. Stetson saved us and our house! I'll never call anyone other than him again.
Just had my entire system replaced along with duct replacement, insulation and balancing. Every employee I had contact with was friendly, knowledgeable and made introductions before entering my home. Never made me feel burdensome by asking 100 questions. They explained everything they were doing along the way. Pleasure to have such friendly, knowledgeable and professional workers on a big job like this. Also stayed each day till job was finished and cleaned up like they hadn’t been here at all! I called Fox Service to come out to take a look at our A/C unit that was making a strange sound as well as leaking water. I was told a timeframe between2-6. I received a call within minutes, saying our rep could arrive in 30 mins. Scott Bandy was our service rep and couldn’t have been friendlier. He quickly diagnosed the issues at hand and provided solutions. Scott ran through initial pricing and allowed me to process everything while he went to his truck to get his tools. Upon his return he provided me with a promo Fox was running that would saved us over 50%. We accepted the promo and Scott quickly went to work. The AC began functioning properly within a few seconds of power restoration. Fox's track record has been outstanding during our entire working relationship of more than 25 years. We've used Fox Service for years and I'm writing this review as a collective. They have demonstrated prompt professional response to my call each and every time. They have always been knowledgeable about the service they provide and quickly able to repair. Prices are set and estimated upfront, so they are able to really take the time to complete the job.There have been times that other companies have needed to collaborate work to get the entire task completed and they've been able to assist to the fullest. Angel did an awesome job on moving and installing a vent for a vent hood. He did the indoor work and was very careful and thorough which I appreciated. There was roof work involved and he was careful enough not to open the roof while it was raining. He left and went to another job and came back to be certain of the weather and then finished the job. Did I say he did all this in 40 degree weather! Great job!

I use Fox Service Company for my VIP heating and air condition service. The service includes two inspections a year (one for heater and one for air conditioner). It is always easy to schedule appointments and the technician always arrive within the scheduled window - giving a heads up call within 30 minutes of actual arrival.Today’s technician, Daniel Toney, was very professional explaining what he was going to do before beginning work. He kept me informed during the inspection and made recommendations. Daniel replaced two capacitors providing documentation for warranty as well as a detailed description on work performed. I received the standard 10% discount and am happy with the service.I also have used Fox Service Company for plumbing and electrical work. I have always been very satisfied with the work performed.

The technician they sent to my house to work my air conditioner was named Steve and seemed to be very knowledgeable. He was very easy to talk to and answered all my questions. Fox Service Co really came through to help fix and electrical issue. Our dryer stopped working and after an appliance guy said I needed an electrician. I started calling around and Fox service was the only one that could get me in today. Here's the thing, we used cloth diapers..and not having a working dryer isn't an option. The team that replaced my HVAC unit were very nice guys. I had no trouble trusting them to come in and out of my house without my supervision. during the process my ceiling was cracked so they sent a person out to fix the damage and he did such a good job that I can't even tell where the patch is.Also, one of my light boxes was loose and they fixed it without me even asking them to.overall, I am very pleased with the air quality and temperature of my house.

Great experience with Robb in Fox for fixing our complicated bathroom remodel electrical issue.
My appointment window was from 8 to noon. They didn't show up until 7:30pm. No call no update that it would not be in the scheduled window. The repair was fine but very expensive. Could have had it fixed for less elsewhere after calling other companies about the problem and asking for estimates.
Got charged $400 to find a leak in the system. Technician did not find any leak and proceeded to charge 800 to do another test and talked about that it would cost in the arena of 3000s for the repair which is additional to this diagnosis told him to leave. Save your money, I paid $500 for nothing.
Great experience with Fox Service. Technician quickly diagnosed and repaired some tricky electrical problems in our house. Jeff was very friendly and professional. Thanks guys!

I was feeling sure it was something simple causing my AC to not turn on. I troubleshot myself and couldn't find it. I called several companies with good reviews and Fox was the only one that would credit you the service call charge toward the repair. So I went with them. My technician got down to the bottom of it quickly. It was a switch that a tech from direct tv thought was a light and switched off. He didn't have to charge me any extra beyond the very reasonable trip charge. Really happy with Fox.

Having been a loyal customer of Fox service I find my latest experience to be indigestible. I replaced HVAC unit a few years back and have been a yearly contract customer ever since. Upon my inspection they found a warranty part had failed. I was told the part was covered but the labor was not covered! This was fine. But the bill definitely wasn’t.$96 to fetch a warranty part$60.75 for warranty administration paperwork to mail the part back. The box was 4“ x 6“ oh and wait… The tech left it in the backyard (Yep we’re going to mail it back) oh and wait still had to pay another $60.75 for labor that’s $217.50 to replace a part still under warranty on the unit they installed and maintained so for me these numbers just don’t add up to good loyal customer service
Fox Services has done great plumbing work for us. Their efforts to fix continual leak problems due to over-stressed copper at the manifolds have held up impressively. Jason, Jeremy, and Steve Garcia are all great at their work!

Had someone come out to look at my hot water heater. It was leaking from the inlet water line. Without even really looking at it, they said it needed to be replaced. It probably did due to being over 25 years old. They quoted me $2,500.00, but said they couldn't get it replaced for two weeks. Since this a rental property and I couldn't wait that long, I decided to just do it myself. It ended up costing me around $600 in parts and took me about 3 hours and 3 trips to Lowes.

I'm not saying they did anything wrong, but they just installed 2 units in our house, at a cost of $25k in Novber 2020. We tried being responsible and followed their PM schedule. They were just here last week said everything was OK yet last night the upstairs unit stopped working on an air handler error. I know it's not their fault, technically, but it is annoying to have a hot house after paying so much.

After our Air Handler failed we contacted our home warranty company and got the price for them to fix it.. Since the unit was underpowered and with the upcoming freon conversion we opted to see what newer more efficient systems would run. After several big name Austin companies either failed to follow up on initial leads or came out and gave outrageous bids or failed to follow up on bids, I found FOX Service through searching for the brand units we wanted to install on our house.Brenden came out the next morning to review our options and after speaking with him and gaining an amazing understanding our how the newer systems stack up to the older systems and the benefits of both I was convinced that he wasn't there trying to sell something he was there to make sure we got what we needed. We opted to replace the air handler and I let Brenden know we would be getting through several projects this summer and then upgrading the entire home to the new mini split system in the fall. We going to to have the home warranty folks do the air handler replacement and planned to have FOX do the upgrade later. Brenden asked if they could have a shot at the air handler portion of the estimate and matched what we would be spending with the warranty company and actually put in a much better unit.The install date was set and I realized that I had a meeting I could not miss, FOX was flexible and got their guys out a day earlier to complete the install. When Luis and Bryant arrived they were super professional. Our home has 120 year old woodwork and they tarped everything down to make sure they did not ding up our vintage trim work and walls. They got the install done faster than they estimated and even though they needed a tad more freon after getting everything done they didn't just leave it and hope we didn't have issues they let me know about the shortage and Luke came out the next day to finish up the system install. NO upcharge for that! Just great service. Now the Systems is blowing COLD again and we are happy that we found FOX.They have earned our business in the AC World and we have three more projects coming up that Brenden has already provided input on!They deserve a 6th star. In a market where home improvement companies fail to follow up or provide logical estimates and reasonable timelines Fox is a step ahead of their competition. I wish they offered more services.

We’ve been using Fox Service Company for about 25 years for a variety of our needs: electrical, heating/air conditioning, plumbing, and our bi-annual inspection called “Priority One.” They’ve been consistently reliable and we are fortunate to have met some very special professionals over these many years.Our kitchen sink quit draining yesterday morning and that has naturally upended our routine. That’s normal. What is not is the Fox Service plumber—Jeremy Treder—who came to our home (early, no less!) today. He patiently cleared the drain which had a build up that had occurred over many years, left the kitchen area and sinks spotless, and took the time to tell me how to keep this from happening again. He recommended organic enzyme solutions that will protect our plumbing and more importantly, our community watershed.Jeremy is a true professional in every sense of the word. Bravo, Jeremy! A/C guy wasn’t here 2 minutes and I was charged $100 just for coming out he did nothing he told me what I already knew the unit is clogged that’s it ,I wanted to at-least get my moneys worth and ask him tips on how to repair it myself anything he just ignored me and charged me and was on his way. I didn’t agree on the price it seemed way too much .The previous service I’ve had two years ago at least that service guy was helpful in a way. When he got here he said he knocked and no one answered I was actually here and heard no knock he called I answered . I knew an update wouldn't be cheap, but had no idea the quotes were going to be so high. The first three companies were quoting around 5-6 thousand including materials. And one even quoted an extra $900 if they had to dig the holes for the ground rods. Luckily a colleague told me about Fox Service. They were super friendly over the phone and responded in a timely manner. No waiting around for several days or weeks for a follow up. I was contacted within the hour for an appointment and the electrician was out the next day. Brandon B. showed up and was extremely helpful, professional, and knowledgable from the get go. He had detailed explanations for all my questions and was very friendly. I understand this business has a sales side to it, but Brandon didn't need it. Given that he was honest and knew what he was doing was enough for me, plus they were thirty percent cheaper than the competition. Brandon B. and Trevor S. showed up a few weeks later to complete the job. Everything was done while I was at work. Installation, clean up, communication, etc was top notch. They even provided some recommendations on other areas of the house that need updating(A/C vent and can light installation). I can't say enough about Fox Service, Brandon, and Trevor. Highly recommended for any work. I'll be calling them back when it's time to complete the other updates.

I used to use Fox all the time for every repair & install I had for years. I have been calling for the past 3 weeks to get a appointment and keep getting their answering service. No matter the time of day I get the service. But I have received no call back from a Fox what so ever. The ladies that answer are rude, disrespectful and misinformed. Seems they are bothered by their job. You can hear attitude through the phone. One told me the wrong hours. Google says Fox is open 24 hours they are not. Rather they have set hours. I was told they are open today 7:30am - 6pm. Called back to make sure got another lady and was told no just Mon - Sat. One quoted me prices and service fees which were incorrect. There seems to be 3 different phone numbers listed on Google neither go directly to the company just these ladies who have no idea. One seemed preoccupied with a pet or child. Another asked me what I needed done I told her. She said they don’t do that. I said yes they do it’s on the website, they have a coupon listed for it and they have done it for me before. She said oh I didn’t know they did that. I asked why would she be asking me about the service if it’s not required for the message. She said I work directly for Fox so I can know. I said you work directly for Fox but you don’t know what they do. Ridiculous! I am very disappointed because I loved Fox. They provided great service when I used them in the past and I could always get a appointment with no issue. But now I am highly disappointed. Im redoing my whole home and have a lot of work needing to be done. Now I’m forced to take my business elsewhere. All due to unprofessionalism and lack of communication. So sad...

Had a full HVAC system replaced through Fox. The Project manager Carey was great, understood the scope of our project and didn't try to up-sell me on a million different options that I didn't need.David, Obi, Chris, and Grant who did the install were all very professional and thorough. We were correcting a fairly serious mold issue and have a baby on the way. They went above and beyond with the install and explanation.I don't have a great word-of-mouth network in this area so I was just searching around online to try and find quality installers. The plumber who visited my house was shocked at the interesting sound my pipes made yet it took him mere minutes to locate and fix the problem. While he was there, he fixed another small leaky pipe issue and gave me some advice for how to self-repair a leaky sink and worn water hammer arrestor. He was fast, knowledgeable, and charged the minimum, affordable service fee.
Our experience with Fox Service Company was great. Starting with LaCounte and Joey who provided us with all the information we needed to make the investment on a new HVAC system. Then the install team, Grant, Trevor, Rick and Sebastion. They were all very professional, experienced and friendly. They all provided excellent customer service, were diligent in their work, protected the floors, cleaned up, removed all the trash, showed up on time and put in a very long 13 hour day. I hope management personally recognizes and thanks these employees who really make Fox Service Company shine. Because of them, we will continue to call on Fox. Chris Evans & Evan Frame did a great job installing a furnace & AC system today. They explained what they were doing as the day continued. After they were finished, they went over the paper work with me & showed me how to use the new thermostat. They cleaned up afterwards & took the old equipment away. Both were professional & thorough.Adding more-- Rick Cannon, Sebastian Cardenas, & Juan Carlos Perez were here for 3 days to replace tubing & vents & testing the system & blow insulation into the attic & re-tack the barrier on attic ceiling. Joey Tice came for 2 days to check the work & help out by replacing the pull down ladder to the attic & replaced light fixtures. They all did a great job, very professional & thorough. All did a superior job of cleaning up each day before leaving for the day.They all represent FOX extremely well. Makes me glad I chose FOX.

Setup an appointment for service, day of service they called cancelled and left a note that I needed to reschedule.
We were very impressed with the professionalism of those who came to install our heating/ac system. They came around 9:00 in the morning and left around 9:00 at night. It was not an easy install because of the space. Eric and Evan could not have been more polite and willing to answer any and all questions. When they left, one would not have known they had even been here since they left everything as it was when they came. We have used Fox for many years and will continue to do so. We have never been disappointed.

I called to have my ac ac serviced and they misdiagnosed my problem and charged me 420and did not even fix it. They said I had a freon leak and it would take 8 to 10 lbs of freon to detect where it was leaking but then it would leak out again. They suggested a complete new unit at 7 to 10thousand dollars. I called another company and they correctly diagnosed that is was the blower motor out and fixed it for a fraction of the cost. This company is way over priced .

Poor-Fair isn't low enough for this company. They took 2 days to install a new HVAC at my condo. A job that should have taken 3 hours. First the equipment they delivered was in operative so had to wait an hour for a replacement. Then they couldn't figure out how to attach the wires. Apparently didn't bother to mark the wires when the removed the old unit. After they finally got the thing installed the salesman came by and apologized and ask what they could do to make it right. I told him to knock $500 off the $2500 price. They declined. So I paid only $2000. They sued me and after I spent $7000 on attorney fees they accepted my offer rather than go to trial. They also installed the unit with fuses rather than circuit breakers. The fuses blew the first time the heat was turned on. I hired a different company to correct that. I would never use them again.

Very deceptive service provider. Fox Service Company came to check my AC system which was not cooling the home as expected. The tech (Weyland) briefly checked the unit, insisted on performing a leak test ($169 fee) and inspected the cooling coils. After 10 mins, I was told I needed to replace the coil at a cost of over $3500 (parts and labor). I knew something was not right given the pressure tactics used to get to me sign up for the replacement service. I got a second opinion and a completely different assessment was made! There was NO LEAK in the coil, unit was not cooling properly because the insulation inside the unit has fallen on to the coils. Fox tech should have clearly seen this when he opened the unit for a visual inspection. A simple fix was done to glue back the insulation! AC unit is working like new again. Fox is a deceptive company, like the car repair industry, you have to be careful with these unscrupulous business practices. I will file a complaint with the City of Austin, the State body regulating this industry and the BBB. I have requested to speak to the owner of the establishment to get an explanation, yet to hear from them.
Electrical work:Had Kenneth out to install 4 recessed lights and couple of outside lantern lights. Clearly went above and beyond discussing placement, ways to save $$ on products etc.Professional, courteous, efficient and also cleaned thoroughly after. I might mention the office staff was terrific too getting me fit in same day.Great service!

This evening I had 2 young men from Fox Service Company come to my home to evaluate and remedy a problem with my heating/airconditioning units. First of all, they were very punctual. They were also very helpful and took all the time needed to help me understand my system. They spent 1 1/2 lhours evaluating the problem and were able to make adjustments so that my unit works as it should. There was no charge for the srervice call. They were extremely polite and courteous and the whole experience made me thankful I had chosen Fox Service Company to handle my needs.

For a year they performed well. Today they installed a simple filter on my AC and afterwards my upper zone was no longer working. They diagnosed it to a control board, except it was working well before their activity.James called back to address concerns and it's fair to give people a chance to make things right. And they did. Over the weekend they ordered the needed part, installed it Monday, and then called back to make sure everything was fixed. It was, and they performed the fix at no cost to me -- more than I would ask for. It was one of those fluke electronic things that can happen to anyone. They fixed the problem, and then some. I'm pleased with the speed and quality of repairs, as well as Fox's care for their reputation.
Came home to no air, called Fox after hours and the technician Bryan Reece walked me through various things to check before he came out. I was very grateful that he was willing to take that much time with me on the phone to avoid after hours service charge. The problem was nothing I could solve, so he came out around 10PM and had the unit fixed in 30 minutes. Bryan was extremely professsional and a great technician. I would highly Fox Service!

The crew that installed my heat pump were excellent. They were professional & informative. They answered any questions I had and told me why I needed certain thing, like the Co2/smoke detector. I do not have gas system so did not think I needed the Co2 detector but because I have an attached garage I have to have the Co2 detector per code.
Had a great experience with Fox Service Company. Needed some service on my HVAC and had them out within an hour of calling. I had the pleasure of getting Wayland as my technician, and he went above and beyond to make sure I was satisfied.
Jeremy was very knowledgeable in what was happening, very good at explaining to me what he was going to do and why. I think everyone dreads that day when they have to call the AC guy well I called Fox and boy was I am impressed from the very beginning young man named Ben came out diagnosed the problem and efficiently fixed it I was so impressed I’ve never had this go so easy and all the times that I have had to call an AC person Ben with Fox AC repairs has got to be the best employee they have they really took care of the service and I had a smile on my face when they left and that never happens . I was very pleased with the professionalism and level of service that the technician demonstrated. Our A/C, Heating system had stopped working. Daniel Toney arrived, assessed the problem, determined the fix and had us up and running the next morning. Daniel kept us informed and worked with the company to be sure that we were well taken care of. I will unequivocally rely on Fox in the future.
Work done by Jeremy at my house was professional and well done. Jeremy identified an issue with my toilet that will allow me to have good performance, but also be aware of potential issues to watch out for. I called these guys after-hours when I discovered water coming out of my attic. The AC unit's drip pan was full and the other drain lines were backed up. They sent a guy out who knew exactly what he was doing and everything was repaired in about an hour. I can't recommend these guys enough!
This is my first time using Fox. This is my first time using AC service in general so I had no idea where to turn. Glad I chose Fox. They jumped on my AC issue right away, even offering same day service. The issue was somewhat complicated, but they were totally flexible and made sure everything was resolved before they left.
The fact that they never showed up to the scheduled appointment means I can't actually rate the quality of their work, but I also can't possibly rate it any more than one star. Not showing up without even so much as a phone call is unforgivable.

Jeremy at Foxx Service saved Thanksgiving weekend. On Thanksgiving Morning when I discovered I had no hot water I started looking for a plumber. I called 3 companies that all had recordings that they’d be closed til Monday! Called Foxx and the nicest guy called me back. His name was Jeremy. He said it would be terribly expensive to have him come out and he wouldn’t be able to get a part on Thanksgiving but I should try the reset button! Who knew? He patiently gave me instructions for accessing that hidden button and the minute I pushed it, my water heater started to make very promising noises! Within 2 hrs I had hot water and all my guests were able to shower and we were able to properly clean the kitchen from our Thanksgiving feast. And it was free! I know exactly who to call next time I have a plumbing problem. Foxx Service is my company now and Jeremy is the BEST! Thank you so much for rescuing me!UPDATEThe reset trick only lasted a few days. Jeremy came out and replaced the two heating elements in the water heater. However he discovered there was no power to the recirculating pump. He arranged for an electrician and the nicest guy, Sam Luna came out and checked every connection to the recirculating pump. It was very mysterious and actually this problem of no hot water upstairs had been occurring periodically ever since we moved in 4 years ago. There never seemed to be any rhyme or reason to it. Then Sam Luna discovered the switch that controlled the pump ( in my closet) was a 3Way! Then he went through the house and both attics as we tried to discover where the other switch was. AT LAST he found it on the bank of switches for the KITCHEN. We never knew what that switch was but it accidentally was switched many times. Hallelujah! Thank you SAM LUNA!!!! You are the best!

Fox came out within one hour of reporting an AC problem late in the day on a hot summer day. Tech was skilled and a good communicator. Had it fixed in an hour and saved me a lot of money with a special deal they had on their Priority One service plan.

The installation of my new A/C took about 8 hours. The 2 men who did it were helpful and kind. They answered all my questions and showed me how to use the new thermostat. Everything works beautifully.

Fox showed up promptly and cleared my clogged line quickly. They repaired a toilet that had been worked on previously and stood by their warranty. Jeremy was courteous, explained the issues and remedies, and then did the job right. Fox Service is a company you can trust!
We will be customers for life.Our very first home purchase came with a host of air conditioning and electrical issues, and Fox Service Company made our little home livable! Although they were not the lowest bid, we chose Fox Service Company to do the work because they were friendly and knowledgeable, and explained everything to us clearly, and as many times as we needed. They also gave us two estimates: a Must-Do Now list, as well as a When You Can Afford Everything list. We found it very helpful in deciding how to allocate our limited budget, as well as how to plan for future upgrades. There were no hard sell tactics, and we received their enthusiastic support whenever we decided to choose a less-expensive option.For some reason, the air conditioning unit had originally been placed on the roof (by another company), which was not designed to hold its weight. Fox moved the unit safely to the ground, and re-worked our entire A/C duct system to make it more efficient and save us money. They also handled our weatherization, which included removing the old attic insulation and blowing in new, better stuff, installing custom-fit solar screens all around the house, and taking care of all window and door drafts to make our little home air-tight. They also handled ALL the paperwork to ensure we got the maximum rebates from Austin Energy, and they did not charge us until after the energy inpection.We received the same stellar service from Fox's electricians. They re-wired the garage and parts of the house to bring it up to code, and let us know which repairs were urgent, and what we could postpone until we could afford it.The real upside of choosing a company that doesn't charge rock-bottom prices is that when they discovered unexpected problems (and there were many!), they didn't stop working to contact us and negotiate a few more dollars out of us. They just fixed the problem and kept right on working. Because we had a firm move-in date, they worked overtime for several days, including once until 2am! And then they actually apologized for working so late!Our new-to-us little house got us through the Central Texas summer in comfort, thanks to Fox Service Company. We never turned off the A/C, but we still have lower-than-average electric bills, and we got a fat rebate check from Austin Energy on top of it all! We don't worry about finding more problems in our older house, because we know exactly who to call when we do.We will be forever grateful to supervisor Brandon Robinson, weatherization techs Chris, Juan, and Roy, and installation technicians Miguel and Obidiah, as well as the electricians, Joshua and Cary. And we will definitely be using Fox Service Company when we're ready to do our renovations!

We suffered over the holidays with a clogged drain, assuming we couldn’t get a plumber, so we waited till after the new year and called. Fox set us up with a plumber that very day, and came earlier than estimated. He quoted the cost to unclog the drain, then did it and was gone within the hour. He wore a mask and was very professional!
The technician was prompt and efficient and friendly. He had to get a piece of equipment to complete the job and he came back the next morning promptly and completed the work quickly. Everything is working fine again. I would and have recommended Fox to my friends.
Rick, Juan and Omar arrived on time and spent the entire day working to balance the air in our home. It was not an easy job to do given that there were multiple issues to deal with. We really appreciate the honesty and integrity of all the Fox employees that we dealt with, from our tech Robert, our project engineer Joey Tice and the air balance team mentioned above.
Miguel demonstrated exceptional customer service while servicing our heater. He made sure I was aware of what the issue was and what he was doing to correct the issue. This kind of professionalism is why we choose Fox for our service and installation.

Fox sent Steve to do some plumbing repairs and installations. He was excellent. He explained every procedure in detail and did all the work quickly and efficiently. I was very satisfied with this experience.
I scheduled a visit for a quote on a Generac whole-home generator. They couldn't come out for a couple weeks, and then didn't show up on the scheduled date. Then, their automated system asked me to review their service, so here I am.
Jeremy was very prompt (actually was able to fit us in earlier than scheduled) and very courteous and efficient. He knew how to fix the problem, got straight to work and let us know how things were progressing along the way. Would highly recommend!
We replaced our 20+ year old heat pump recently. Mark Gatewood was very knowledgeable and explained all of our options. He listened to our questions and gave us great advice. David Moran and Obi Puttrich installed our system the next week. They were curtious and extremely thorough. They brought everything up to code for us. After a long day of hard work, they took the time to walk us through our new system in detail. They picked up everything around their work areas and hauled away our old system. Evan, Chris, David and Obey...worked so hard and didn't leave until the job was done! They had everything working great! They were in our house all day and took care to lay out protected walkways and then cleaned everything up. I highly recommend this company!

Curtis and Rick did a great job of installing replacement parts. Knowledgeable, polite, efficient, answered all my questions, actually exceeded my expectations. I would recommend these technicians to anyone gladly.
The techs are good, but when I asked for an estimate on a new unit (mine is still working), the advisor refused to give me information about any brand except Lennox (whom they are in contract with). I wanted a Trane, a good solid unit that is inexpensive to repair. I ended up contacting another Austin AC repair business and purchased a Trane.

Daniel responded to my call about my unit running but no cold air blowing. Turns out the unit was frozen from the evaporator coil all the way down the line to the outside unit. Daniel was incredibly helpful and kind as he helped my family get cold air blowing again in the heat of summer. Great service, highly recommend that you request Daniel for service when you call FOX!

Fox Service Company sent Nathaniel Tasley to our house to fix our HVAC when the heat went out. He found the problem, explaining everything so that I could understand it, and then installed our new Nest E thermostats. Our wiring was wonky (not surprisingly in this house), but Nathaniel stayed late to make sure it was done right. He even apologized for taking so long. I will call Fox again and appreciate Nathaniel's diligence.
Nathan T. provided excellent knowledge, insights, and service. Nathan repaired a pressure switch to my heating system. On the following business day, he followed up on his own initiative and recommended a permanent replacement of the pressure switch as we talked through the scenarios. I really appreciate Nathan's ability to communicate and address issues. He has been viewed as a trusted advisor.

I have a property, for which other contract has diagnosed as coil leakage. I schedule with Fox to come out and get second opinion. I also ask Fox give me a quote to replace the whole system. Fox give a pretty high price, that's OK, since big company usually more pricy than small one. What make me uncomfortable is they charge me more than 190$. However, when I contact them I was told the basic visit fee is only 75$.Both other two contracts are free to have a look and give me quote.I contact the office/manager to argue the bill, no any response and waste a lot of time. That's the first time I use FOX as recommended by a friend.
Scott from Fox Service Company came over today to provide our winter HVAC service (did a very thorough job) and my husband showed him a notice we had received on June 5, 2017 from Bryant Heating & Cooling System about a potential problem with the electrical component in the inverter of the heat pumps on our type of system that could possibly over heat and become a fire or injury danger. We had called Fox immediately on June 5th (and at least one other time as well), but had been told each time that the parts had not been shipped in and that we would be notified when they arrived. We never got a call about the parts arriving, but when Scott checked on this after he finished his inspection, he found that the part had indeed been received. He immediately drove back to Fox, picked up the part, and returned to our house so he could install it. This is the type of service that we have been accustomed to from Fox for over 30 years. While we were disappointed that we had not been notified by Fox that the part had arrived (we have no idea when it actually came in), we are nevertheless very grateful that Scott took the initiative to follow up on the problem and resolve it.

I called Fox Service because my air conditioner would come on but not cool. The HVAC Specialist, Daniel Toney, arrived early (after notification from Fox) was able to determine the issue very quickly and fixed it promptly. He was knowledgeable, professional, efficient and personable. Thanks!

Jeremy was awesome! I had forgotten he was coming and I asked him if he could go ahead and find the exterior water line leak until I got back home. He he said sure - he found the problem before I made it back home, explained what it was, fixed it and was done in less than 30 minutes.

The Fox team installed a tankless water heater for us. They did what they said they would, arrived and left when expected, and kept us updated on progress. Haven’t had much time to work with the system yet, but looks like good work.

Darren was very helpful and fixed our problem.
With help of customer service, we were able to schedule a 1 year inspection of our high rise condo HVAC system. Luis called before arrival (which was early), inspected our 2 systems, changed our filters (we provided), answered our questions, and told us about the programs Fox has for future maintenance. Covid-19 measures were practiced.
We’ve been using Fox Service for about 10 years and have always gotten great results from their staff. We’ve never had a bad tech, a canceled appointment, or anything other than superlative support with our HVAC and plumbing needs.
We have used Fox Service for many years as twice each year we have them come and check out our systems for the coming changes to winter and summer. This gentleman who came was superb. He provided a card but we cannot find it. His initials are LOM. Very thorough. He explained the r ____ Halo' and we had him install one on one of our units. We are considering having him come to install one for the other unit as I think it is making a difference. We think it may make a difference in the other part of the house too. Emil L. Balusek

Daniel T. arrived this morning during the identified service window to do the annual inspection of my heating system. He introduced himself courteously, provided me with a business card and a brochure, and then moved on to the inspection. He wore booties over his shoes so as not to track anything in. After the inspection, he explained what he’d done; he also re-anchored the thermostat because it was loose on the wall. Overall I was very pleased.

Daniel Toney came promptly to my house today when I called in about my air conditioning not working. I showed him where the compressor was, we talked about what it could be and he got to work. Fixed the problem quickly and handed me the 5-year guarantee on the part. I also signed up for the Yearly Service since my unit is several years old.
Cheating Service Man - Agreement with office was for them to show up at 9am since location does not open till then, they could not do a booking without a time window till two weeks later so we agreed to that and set up a date way out in the future. On the day of service I receive a call from service agent at 8:18am saying he had arrived. Stressed to him that no will be at location until 9am so he was too early, and the office knew this. He reassured me he would wait and not bill till he got in. He got in at 8:45am with cleaning crew and supposedly started his inspection. He was out at 9:15am by which time I was on site, and took an additional 10 minutes to write up his report. I asked about billing and he said the office would bill me at rate agreed to, but he did not know rate. He said he would bill for 1 hr of service, and 1/2 hr commute (first I ever heard of being billed for commute time). He showed me final inspection report (no time or billing entered) and asked me to review. Once reviewed he asked me to follow him to van, and asked me to sign report and gave me a carbon copy. I get home and realize on the carbon copy he is claiming to arrived there at 7:30am and rather than bill for 1.5hrs, he billed me for 2.75 hrs. I immediately called him and he tried to convince me that the 7:30am on the invoice was some standard nomenclature they used and not arrival time. I questioned further and he asked me to call the office. I called the office and complained and they asked me to call back and speak with customer service manager. I called the rep back to call him out on supposedly not knowing the rate, and also to confront him on why he was claiming 2.75 hrs of time, and he lost his temper and hung up. I called the customer service manager and left two voicemails explaining the discrepancy in time and unscrupulous behavior of their agent, and over two months later still no call back. Terrible service, and thieving agent that almost double billed me. No Bueno! Call a local mom and pop service company and hope for pride and integrity in customer service.

The technician was professional and made some good recomendations.
I had Fox Service Company install a complete brand new system September 2017 and the Condenser turned out to be defective since installed. I've made multiple calls in an attempt to get the defective unit replace. To date I've not been successful. I've gotten call backs and told there would be a service fee, it's under warranty I would reply so then a couple times I'd get no call back. Been told my concerns would be given to a supervisor and no call back at all. TYPICAL NO SERVICE/CARE AFTER THE SELL. Time for outside help... What a shame on Fox Service Company.

The A/C tech came out on a weekend and worked on our air conditioner. He discovered a blown fuse was the cause of no power. Next, he wanted to know what was causing the fuse to blow in the first place. In less than 10 minutes, he found a burned circuit relay in the outside unit. He replaced it. I would recommend this tech and the Fox company to anyone who needs their A/C serviced.

Daniel T came out to investigate an odd noise our AC unit was making. Turns out it’s fairly normal for a ‘builder grade’ unit of our vintage, but he also discovered a weak capacitor in the unit and did a preemptive strike replacement. Daniel was personable and professional. Highly recommended.

Wayland did an excellent job installing a new thermostat! He ordered the replacement on Sunday evening and installed the new one on Tuesday morning.
Never used FOX before today. Curtis was timely, efficient and thoroughly explained everything he was doing. He listened to my concerns and provided his expertise. Companies all over need more people like Curtis!

We had water coming through the ceiling of the guest bedroom. Curtis came out on a Saturday morning, promptly identified the problem and repaired. Excellent service. I will never use anyone but Fox!
This company takes on way too many jobs to handle. If you call after 4pm you get a Call center service. I have an account on file and still have to give every detail of my company. Whatever message you leave with the call center is pointless. All they do is tell Fox when they open up that you called with 0 detail that was given. You will never get a call from Fox or an actual appointment time even if you placed one with the overnight call center. Fox is overbooking all of their tech's. I had an appointment for Thursday - they called and said Tuesday - on Tuesday they called and said :im first for Wednesday along with a im sorry were doing the best we can. If you use them get used to this. It happens every time. And they are top dollar charge. Find a smaller company - they are not equipped to be consistent. Also they sent a rookie tech on the last job - he didn't know what to do so he just left.. I had to call Fox myself to ask what happened - they had no idea - but unfortunately all their other tech's were busy so i was first in line tomorrow they still sent me a top dollar bill for the first tech for $300. They dont care about anyone - they are way to big for their own customer service.
