Abacus was very responsive and got us on the schedule quickly. Donnie showed up promptly and offered honest feedback about the work we were requesting. When we agreed on the work to do – a single outlet in our pantry – he got to work immediately. Great job, the outlet looks like it’s always been there! We have a few other tasks to do around the house later and Abacus will be our first call.

Eddie was great! I had a new tub spout installed and he was fast and friendly. Price was fair and they didn’t charge a trip fee. Setting the appointment was easy as well. I’d definitely recommend them!

We had a gas leak over the weekend. The gas company technician identified not just one, but two leaks, both of our hot water heaters.We needed them fixed/repaired as quickly as possible. We made the appointment over the weekend and Eddie came on Monday. I was surprised that they were able to replace one them the same day. He probably could have done both the same day if it weren't for the second hot water heater being in the garage attic. That one required some carpentry to enable access. Eddie was fantastic. The responsiveness and professionalism was top notch.Be it a crisis plumbing need like restoring hot water, something more optional like upgrading fixtures, Abacus should be on your speed dial.

Very honest. The company as a whole was reliable and highly professional, and priced fairly. Did not give up on my older home, with its strange wiring, until the job was done. Responded to my concerns promptly and did not hesitate to bring in experienced pros for more complex tasks. I would most definitely choose them again because of the courteous and professional way they handled a difficult situation.

A lightning strike on my home prompted my call for evaluation and service. Gabe and Alex did a very thorough whole-house electrical inspection and replaced two 3-way switches and a faulty GFCI. Both Gabe and Alex were very professional and they spent quite a while reviewing the findings with me. Thanks!

Donny Bolls our technician diagnosed the issue promptly and accurately and did the repair with the least disruption (did not have to cut into drywall) and Walker, his associate) cleaned up any debris afterwards. I was happy with the service. I feel the cost of repair was on the high side but it’s from an established company with a 1 year warranty. Overall we were satisfied. Donny was knowledgeable, professional and explained the issues and scope of work to me. Scheduling process was excellent and we did not have to wait long to schedule the repair.

Jen the receptionist was very polite and helpful in scheduling an appointment on the same day. Aaron the electrician was friendly and attentive to every detail on the background of the situation. He was very knowledgeable and offered feedback. His coworker, Walker was also very helpful. These gentlemen were very professional. I highly recommend them and look forward in doing business with Abacus in the future.

Abacus was very courteous, professional and discussed the review of our heating system as it progressed. Very pleased with Erick. We ended up getting the annual maintenance and that ended up saving us money! Abacus was great about staying in touch to let us know when our tech would be here. Recommend!

We had issues with an older bathroom not draining properly into septic. John came out and attempted to clean out line. Then David came out with camera and found the issue. They had to dig under our slab about 12 ft long by 3 ft wide. Tito came and laid new pipe to have it drain properly. He also did some inside work on bathroom to make sure all was okay as well install a new drain line for washer in laundry room which backs up to said bathroom. Things still weren't draining properly. David came back out and found the issue,there was a clog at a y ,cleared it and now everything works great. We are very pleased in all the time and work that was put in to getting everything right. Will be using them again if needed and will recommend them. Thank you to all the ones that worked on our job.

Our technician was VERY helpful, informative, and knowledgeable. As a home owner you get to deal with a bunch of companies and contractors and can tell pretty quickly the type of support you're going to receive. Without a doubt one of the better (if not best) I've dealt with yet. Seams simple but even the system that informs you of the person coming to see you with a name and picture and their current location goes a very long way for me. Would and will highly recommend. Them covering electrical, plumbing, and HVAC is an added bonus for a one stop shop.

Was very satisfied with the work that Andrew with Abacus performed. He reviewed the work that had to be done; gave me a price before we started an then meticulously started the work. He started out laying down plastic sheeting as not to dirty the carpet in the area of work and to my satisfaction completed the task of repairing a water leak that was inside the wall in the master bedroom. I would definitely recommend Andrew to anyone who needed plumbing work done.

Initial service call did a good job explaining what was wrong and gave me 3 options to upgrade my electrical panels. When the first tech came two days later, he didn’t have the materials needed. This appears to be a job planning failure. This cost me a whole day of work PTO. The next day, the work was accomplished and the workmanship was very well done. I feel I have a safer home with the work they performed. Don, the installer was incredibly nice, professional and their company uniforms instill confidence. The end result was aesthetically pleasing along with the technical upgrade the work accomplished.

Eddie & Landon came out right away & before we had to leave to get the kids from school we had a new water heater! They were incredibly professional, knowledgeable, and even put up with our 2 puppies that were jumping all over them. Eddie even went the extra mile & helped me install our new shower head. We love using Abacus & will continue to use them for every plumbing need. Excellent experience.

One of our electrical circuit breakers tripped off. When I flipped it back on, I could immediately smell something burning. I flipped the breaker off. I called Abacus for help. Donny the electrician quickly came out, diagnosed a smoldering outlet, and replaced it. He was very professional, courteous, and informative! Excellent work! Job well done!

We appreciated all the service from the initial call through the repairs. We appreciated them touching base during the day, giving us an idea what time they would be here. We really like the fact that we were told if they called and we possibly could not meet them at that time they would follow back up with us on the list that way we did not have to sit here for four hours without any clue.Highly recommend!!

I just had two new water heaters installed in my home, and I couldn't be happier with the results. The installation process was smooth and hassle free, and the technicians (Eddie and Roberto) who installed the units were knowledgeable, professional, and courteous. Chase came over to quote me for an air conditioner and hot water heater. He was very informative and spent a considerable amount of time going over all aspects and choices. I never felt rushed. Answered all questions knowledgeably.

We lost AC/Heat Thursday evening. I submitted a callback online from Abacus Friday morning which I received in under 30-min. Within about 2-hours, Frank Gonzales was at our house and diagnosed the problem. The compressor died in our outdoor HVAC unit. The soonest they could get a Carrier replacement and install was Monday. Frank also installed the replacement compressor. He had us up and running in a few hours. He explained what goes into replacing a compressor, why, and that it’s not like changing a battery. I would recommend requesting Frank if he’s available. He took his time, did it the work correctly, and made us feel confident we shouldn’t run into any issues in the near future with all he had done. Great experience!

Teddy was the commensurate professional. He worked very fast and went above and beyond by trying to save a stuck hose. I love that the company sends you a picture of your technician and has a tracking system so you can see when they will arrive. Got excellent service from plumbing and electrical!!

Tub and surround replacement. The technician Forrest Davis was professional, and on time. Explained the scope of work that would be required thoroughly. Stated the the time frame of completion of work.Had a concern about wording of estimate, spoke with him and he had it fixed. The estimate stated time frame of completion and work to be done including removal of old tub. I have accepted estimate and will update this review after the work is completed.

We have had the BEST experience with Abacus! All of our technicians have been super friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. The company has an excellent system of communication. They work well with the city and our big re-wiring job has been seamless!

We used Abacus to purchase a new HVAC unit and we had a great experience with this company. Their crew was very efficient and nice, really dedicated and professional and Kathryn was really great too! The installation went smoothly and we got it installed very quickly. Really happy with this company and would definitely recommend to everyone.

Jason was prompt, courteous, and professional. He diagnosed the problem quickly and explained it to me in easily understandable terms. The fix was quick and the whole service call took less than an hour. Price was fair, and he cleaned up the work area when he was done. Excellent service.

Eddie and Tim were great. The had to completely install a new water heater in my attic. They made it look easy. Explained everything they were doing and what all to expect. I actually have 2 water heaters and the other one was replaced a couple of years ago and apparently was not installed up to code. They made that right also. They were extremely knowledgeable and I would definitely use them again and will recommend Abacus to my friends. This is the second time they have done a great job for me. The other time was electrical.

Abacus, was outstanding! I called several places they were all busy and could not address our emergency for days out. I called Abacus, with a plea for help as we were without water. They promptly, with concern and sympathy, sent us Clayton. Clayton, was five stars! Knowledgeable, friendly, courteous, professional, and did outstanding work. A/C unit was going out so we were shopping aroundKathryn came by to assess our situation. She did a great job of listening to what our concerns were and providing an option that best fit our needs. No high pressure tactics, just good honest information. Well done KathrynI had Jose and his team come out to do my HVAC install. The detailOf their work was top notch, the unit inside and outside looked very clean and you could tell they take great pride in their work. They wore booties and put down cloth to protect our carpet while working which was appreciated. I appreciated them taking the time to explain the outside and inside unit to me in a way I could understand. Highly recommend Jose !!

Eddie with Abacus Plumbing was extremely prompt and very professional with service. From my initial Abacus call to the technician (Eddie) call back took 12 minutes. From Eddie’s call back to arrival took just 23 minutes. He was very informative with the issue with our bathtub plumbing and the common causes for the defect. He welcomed me to watch which he thoroughly explained how to fix the issue in the future and common road blocks for which I may want to consider a technician. He was knowledgeable and completed his repair within 27 mins. I was certain I would be facing a long evening but that wasn’t the case. Please trust Abacus, especially Eddie, with any of your bathtub plumbing needs!

Used Abacus before, installed a new air handler about six months ago. Called them back when I lost my heat. My technician Dillon (I call him “my” tech, ‘cause I’m gonna request him again in the future) got right to the problem, talking me through it all the way. Turned out to simply be some tripped circuit breakers. No charge… but I immediately signed up for a service contract. (Only 99 bucks for complete A/C tuneup, twice a year.) Also, arranged for a tech, same company , to come out to check my circuit board. Again, at no cost, but I’m seriously considering getting on their electrical service plan as well.Abacus = great staff + best equipment + reasonable pricing.

Eddie and team were amazing! Friendly, professional, timely and did incredible work. The entire process of working with Abacus is a breeze. The operators are so nice and appointments are scheduled quickly! This is the second time we’ve used them- and will continue to call on only them in the future!

This is the 3rd time these folks have come by because of an issue with my water heater and it is not their fault. I have a roof leak causing an issue. The technician Teddy is awesome! he is polite, helpful and I think goes beyond the necessary to achieve the work is done right.

Had a big repair with our toilet and flange below, Eddie and Tim were great with the initial quote and the service. Price was best and they didn't leave till we had a working toilet, even bringing a cracked tank back to the store to replace for us. Great service and very professional, can't recommend enough, thank you very much.

This was one of the best experiences I’ve had in a long time. Edward came out, checked out my issue, and informed me of my options in a very clear way. I decided to go with a full heater replacement as it was undeniably time. Ed was here at 9am the day after Christmas and swapped out the whole system in less than 2 hours. Very fair price and excellent service.

Excellent service by Eddie and Logan replacing the main property water shut-off valve and pressure regulator. Very accommodating and considerate of all my concerns. They were insistent to make sure I was 100% satisfied. Great work!

Robert was the technician who fixed my leak. He tried to fix the leak so that I would not have to incur a greater charge than was necessary. When that did not work, he recommended the who faucet fixture be replaced. Which I ok'd, Robert was very personable, friendly, and I took him to be honest. He took care my issue and I would recommend him and his company ABACUS to anyone who needs plumbing work done. Oh, and Robert was a very patient person...I like that...not rushing to get through the job but assuring the work was done right!

Consulted regarding adding a generator. I needed information that any competent engineer could provide and he delivered.He was accurate, honest and concise in every detail. True professional. Can be trusted.If the rest of the company is anything like him, they should be trusted.

Shawn Curry was a superhero for us! He patiently and professionally resolved one issue after another with our HVAC system that had been installed very, very poorly by another company. Deandre was great! Very professional and thorough. After he completed his indoor and outdoor inspection of our two AC units he walked us through all of the details including several pictures. Overall great experience.

Our hot water heater quit working. Scheduling was fast. Eddie came and paitently and respectfully gave us options. He explained each and answered questions. We chose a replacement and the replacement team came out the same day and got us back up and running with hot water. They turned off the gas to my dryer and didn't turn on it back on though which caused some stress over what we thought was another needed appliance repair.

When my outdoor sub panel unexpectedly burned out Abacus sent an electrician the next day to diagnose the problem and provide a free quote to fix the problem. They were back the very next day to replace the panel and kept me informed the whole time. When I had a problem with a breaker on the same panel flipping about a week after the same electrician who installed the panel, Brad, came back out quickly and was very helpful and professional; double checking all the wiring up to the appliance attached to the breaker. Overall great service and knowledgeable electricians. I'm very glad I called Abacus!

I had NOTICED an Abacus truck in our neighborhood a week earlier and liked their slogan...YOU CAN COUNT ON US. I went ahead and scheduled a repair I had been putting off. Gabriel and the technician in training were both very professional and capable. I was equally HAPPY about their fair price. I will be calling on the Abacus team again!

Eddie & Tim installed 2 bidets at my house here in Leander . They were both professional and got the job done fast and correctly. When installing the bidet at the primary bathroom, Eddie even had Tim shut off the water main, just to be on the safe side. I highly recommend Eddie & Tim and ABACUS.

We got a new stove to replace an old one that was hard wired into the wall. I called Abacus and shortly thereafter we got a call that a technician was on the way to give us a quote. Dalton Slayton came out to give us a quote and he was really knowledgeable and gave us a better since of the whole situation. We are still weighing our decision to do this upgrade, but I feel like I have a lot more information now than I did before. Thanks so much!

Vinny was super helpful and informative when he came to my house. He went above and beyond while diagnosing the electrical problem I was having. He explained everything very clearly and outlined repair options. He even fixed my garage door opener as a plus! Great service.

I was looking for an estimate on back flow inspection, tried to get it over the phone however they came out to view potential job. Not sure if I want to continue with pool auto fill and pay every year for inspection. Eddie was great when I told I needed to think about the potential cost. I felt bad about something that could have been done over the phone but he said that’s what their team does. Thanks again Eddie!

I appreciate all of the convenience of the scheduling process & how well I am kept informed of when the technician will show up. The works was good; however, I he did not call my tenant as I had requested. He called me instead. The pre service was impeccable as usual. I have always thought their prices were a bit high but this time was exceptionally high. They replaced a toilet for me. The toilet was in the $300 range but I was charged $885. I have helped replace a toilet before & trust me it is NOT worth over $500 labor to replace a toilet. I didn’t have a choice this time because it was a tenant who said water was continually flowing. I will definitely check out other companies in the future.

Edward Pollack did a great job communicating what was causing our low water pressure. Work was completed in a timely manner. We will definitely use his services for any future plumbing issues.

He then checked several things to see if my 30 year old wiring had any potential problems… he suggested a change that seemed reasonable and would increase the safety of the electricity in my home. I had a leak somewhere in my shower needed help. I also had water pockets coming out of my tub.Robert was very professional and on time. He re sealed my shower drain and Was able to see exactly what was wrong and advised me that I needed a new tub liner.This saved me a lot of headache and money since I thought I would need massive demolition of bathroom and ceiling to fix a leak. But instead his recommendation saved me easily a thousand dollars in further options.Best part is he didn’t charge for his service of resealing drain and opinion on the tub. Very grateful and would recommend this service for others.

My appt was for Sat but they had to cancel due to several emergencies and limited staff. They called to reschedule and was very apologetic. They offered me a appt for Monday that fit with my schedule which was after hours. They also offered a nice discount for my inconvenience. The tech called and was right on time as scheduled today. He came in trouble shot my problem in less than 30 min and didn't charge me!. Great service all the way around.

Shawn Curry was an amazing help! He came out, checked my ac, and gave me options. He was prompt, punctual, and didn't try to up-sell me anything I didn't need. Very pleased with David Jones solution to our plumbing problem under the foundation. Digging under foundation was started right away to fix problem. No waiting for crew to start. Loan process for financing work was painless too! David is very knowledgeable about repairs and process to get it done.

Eddie was sent to correct a burst pipe after the most recent freeze. Not only did he fix it in a timely manner, he was incredibly knowledgeable and took extra steps to correct the issue so we weren't left dealing with a similar issue the next time we had freezing weather. He and his team were very timely in getting us our water back when we needed it and I would recommend their services to anyone.

Abacus was the only company that could come out on a weekend same day to address an exterior water line break made more difficult by failing system equipment which had left our house without water. Their service technician Eddie was superb as he addressed two major complicated issues despite the work going into Saturday night. The cost and work were great value for money and Eddie provided the best service I have seen in over 30 years of home ownership. Great work Abacus and Eddie.

Andrew came out to give me an estimate to replace my garbage disposal, and was able to come back and install first thing the next morning! He was very professional and nice, explained everything and answered all of my questions, and had the install done super quick.

Since buying my first house a year ago, I've had no end to weird problems from the previous owners, and Abacus has been my go-to for plumbing, as well as AC and electrical. In particular, Eddie has been great at assessing and fixing plumbing issues, and he's always clear about what our options are, which ones he recommends, and being clear about the prices for each option so I can figure out what's within our budget. When Eddie shows up, I know we're going to be in good hands for whatever new problem has cropped up.

Trying out this company. We need a go to plumber. Very professional, offer yearly membership with coupons etc. Pricey, however, I was assured they're very customer focused. We'll see. So far so good, we're pleased with this service of our first call.

The most recent visit was to check on an AC unit acting funny and as always, they were timely, professional, and provided top notch work.

My technician Dereck V. was awesome! I’ll definitely be asking for him again.The dispatch center I am not thrilled with however. The people are plenty nice but they’ve got some business practices I’m not sure about. Things like calling twice to bypass focus mode on iPhone (this should be reserved for true emergencies imo), not giving the technician specific instructions on how to find the house, allowing a (prior) technician to sign a service agreement for me and more.

Abacus techs are the best! They are very professional and experts in their fields. They were able to fix all of our electrical and HVAC systems after they were damaged by the winter storm. The repairs happened quickly and with lots of communication about when the techs were showing up, what my options were, and how much they were going to charge.

I had a plumbing emergency come up on a Friday afternoon @ 4:30 pm. They responded back quickly and got Eddie on his way here. It was a straightforward job, Atwater was done quickly and efficiently. Eddie was very professional and explained our options and did the work before ai could finish a side chore. Will definitely keep Abacus in mind going forward for my plumbing & electrical needs.

Robert Keys is a truly amazing plumber!He did a reroute for us and the challenge was that when he pressurized the copper water lines it wasn’t revealing the leak? Through determination he figured it out and continued repiping into our attic.Everything looks professionally done from the pipes being attached to our back kitchen cabinets to repairing the manifold-It’s clear Robert takes great pride in his work!Additionally, he did a quick repair on our new washing machine so we could finally do laundry, amazing!! You would think after a long day he would just be concentrating on getting home but he was always content to answer questions.Thank you Robert!

Dillon was very friendly and professional. He understood right away what the problem was. Was able to resolve the issue temporarily although we had to call again the following day due to the same issue popping up. Mel came in and found out the problem in the unit. The drainage was plugged. He was able to clean it and get it working again. He was also very friendly and professional.

Had Abacus come out for an estimate to install an outlet that i thought was required to meet code. Vinny the technician was super friendly and extremely helpful and knowledgeable. He even loved playing with my lab retrievers.

Elijah Campbell was our service technician who gave us an estimate with installing tankless water heater.He was very thorough explaining about and the installation and service it would take if we considered going tankless. We felt no pressure or any kind of sales tactic. Elijah called about 30 minutes in advance to provide ETA. He was very knowledgeable, friendly and professional.

I had a technician come out to diagnosis a partial failure of some plugs on a circuit. The tech was very polite, nice and on time. Per company policy he looked over my entire electrical system. Then he proceeded to give me a very expensive estimate to fix everything that he found that was not up to current code but would not even look at the reason why I called him there. The items he was recommending had no correlation with the problem I was having. I ended up calling another company that found and fixed the problem I called about. I have owned multiple service based companies and totally disagree with the policies of this company. When a customer calls about an issue you should address that first and foremost and then inform them of other things you noticed.

Gabriel and Tristan were on time, professional, quick to diagnose the problem and they fixed the panel box while inspecting the entire home thoroughly. Great service and will definitely use them again. 10/10 stars

I had a kitchen outlet start hissing and popping at me around 11 am. I found Abacus online, scheduled an appointment, and had an electrician in my home by 2pm. Incidentally, between the time I called and the time our electrician arrived, I also learned that I needed an outlet installed for a new oven range that was delivered the same day. He did all the work within a couple of hours. He was professional and efficient, and I'm so grateful for his help!

ABACUS performed a warranty call to repair an exterior shutoff valve water leak. This property side shutoff valve had been replaced by ABACUS in February 2022. Using the City of Lakeway LMUD WaterSmart Portal, I was able to determine there was a water leak that started several months after the installation. ABACUS quickly responded to my call for repair. It was a cold and rainy day. ABACUS Technician Teddy Linnell replaced the shutoff valve on our property side where the city water line comes in. ABACCUS Tech Teddy Linnell did an excellent job on the repair. Teddy is very competent and personable. Thank you.

I had a big leak. I did all I could to find it but couldn't. Eddie of Abacus came as early as they could after the ice storm of Jan/Feb 2023.They checked everything inside then went outside and found my problem.I am grateful that Eddie found the leak.I recommend Abacus and now have them on speed dial.

Out Switches kept tripping in the kitchen resulting in the dishwasher not turning on. Put in a request for an appointment Saturday morning and Michael W. showed up less than 2 hours later. After explaining the problem he started testing the switches, checked out the breaker panel, all the whole explaining exactly was he was doing and why there was a problem. He ended up replacing a faulty breaker, fixed an outdated outlet and install a GFCI outlet in the garage. He also provided us with various quotes of what we can do do bring our electrical up to better standards

Both Andrew and Tim were very professional- Andrew explained everything to me in detail what was needed to repair the leaks in 4 different places. I am very pleased with the services i received today.

I had a toilet clogged & the technician, Rob, was wonderful. I got called for confirmation of arrival 30-45 minutes before. Rob was respectful & professional and best of all… he fixed the problem. I am very happy.

The service was very good. The technician was professional and on time and fixed the issue within 15 minutes. The only negative I'd have to say is that it was pretty pricey for a 15 minute job but they do provide a 1 year warranty on the work done.

Miguel was great and diagnosed our AC issue in 15 minutes and came after hours on New Year’s within 30 minutes.

While charging Tesla, my house sub panel was tripping instead of tesla braker so had Abacus team do an inspection and paid $300+ to find out why subpanel is tripping instead of tesla braker. All they did was open panel and checked are wires are tight. Solution/Suggestion that was given to me was liv with the problem or do not charge tesla or charge it with under 25 amps. But not a reason/solution for subpanel tripping instead of tesla braker tripping. Then it seems they would charge another $300 plus to install any meters and stuff to detect the issue and provide a solution/reason. Kind of wasted $300 and time dealing with them and getting nothing out of it. Techinicians were politebut company policies are bad and way too pricey. Definitely try looking at other options before considering Abacus.

Outstanding doesn’t begin to describe how fantastic Abacus was. (March 2023) We needed a new A/C system and water heater. They were both 17 years old and I wasn’t going to wait until a blistering summer day when they “unexpectedly” failed to replace them. Our sales person Kathryn really went to bat for us in terms of pricing, financing, and timing.Abacus was the first company to give us an estimate, and after having a couple others come to the house, I called Kathryn back and she returned to our home and came up with a combination of financing, quality (Lennox), and pricing that FAR exceeded the other A/C companies’ bids. The installation took place the next morning and they were great as well. The A/C team of Jose and Jose were friendly, informative, and very professional. The Water heater team of Tito and Tim were as well. They went so far as to help me figure out why the water pressure in our home isn’t up to par. They didn’t have to do that. They just did it because I was talking about it. Outstanding!Both teams were super neat, organized, and clean. Our A/C & water heater are on the second floor so they draped a path from the front door and upstairs to ensure they didn’t mess up the carpet. They replaced their foot booties every time they came in and out. They even had booties on their dolly when they brought the old unit down and took the new one up.Can’t forget their office staff who communicated consistently and appropriately about when the teams would arrive and when the City of Austin inspectors would come out to issue their inspection and certification results. Arual & Shae (spelling?) were great!Seriously, do yourself a favor and give them a call.FYI I received no discount, compensation, or other favors, incentives, or the like to write this review.

We called Abacus for a panel upgrade estimate. Mr. Vinnie Guarino came out and put together a highly competitive estimate for us and helped us make sense of the work that we would be contracting for. We did not go with Abacus' services at this time, but this was only due to a coin flip between them and another estimate we requested. Definitely give Abacus a call for your plumbing, AC, or electrical needs.

We had a major drain blockage at a home we just moved into. John came and cleaned it out after lots of effort! Two other plumbers had given up! He was very tenacious and determined to get our sink working again! We were very impressed with his work ethic and his ability to get a tough job done.

Abacus provided a thorough diagnosis of our HVAC system and gave a variety of bids for repair or replacement. (Note that the diagnosis costs $100.) Their bid for a new system to replace the 21-year-old existing one was the best of three companies which we contacted. They installed it on the next business day and did a complimentary cleaning of all our vents and ducts. The two technicians, Danny and Marco, were skilled, professional, and efficient. The Lennox system which they installed is rated slightly higher than Trane and Carrier. I would definitely recommend this company.

We feel so much better now about updating the electric and panels on our 1985 home, prior to getting our electric vehicle. Jason Bowerman showed up early in the day, very professional, great cadence with his voice, very clear, very thorough, and gave us plenty of options and estimates to choose from.

These fellows were great. The company was very responsive and the technicians were top notch. They came out to the house quickly, made the repair efficiently and left the area clean.

So this is outrageous someone just came to check on my power outlet for a quote and I had 6 power outlets that weren't working and once I heard the price I was shocked. For a diagnostic fee they wanted $309 dollars and per outlet to fix they wanted $246 dollars on top of that......so $246 x 6 outlets...do the math....this is highway robbery...I say again..it was not $246 a hour labor...Make sure to go look at there Yelp reviews...that's what I have should of done before calling them

Stay away from Abacus, not a good plumber. I'd been without water for 5 days. Ausitn water finally got the pipes repaired. But no water to the house. They said is was probably a blocked pipe. I called abacus about 1pm and explained everything. Receptionist someone would be out and would call 30 minutes before arrival. I called back at in the evening and she said their drainage people were really busy. I told her again, I do not have a drainage problem, I need a plumber. She said someone would be there soon. Finally 11pm someone showed up. The plumber just waled around asked to look at hot water heater. Then told be he would have to knock out walls to look at the pipes. Abacus would not put back or repair the walls , I'd have to call someone else. The job could take a few days. But he said he did know if this would fix my issues. Gave me a quote for $2,700. I had to pay $150 for him doing nothing but give me a big quoteI called Christianson plumbing, very freindly. Got a plumber out quickly. Issue was a blocked pipe like Austin Water said it was. $50 later I have water. 6 days later I finally got a shower.

Companies should really make it clear to their drivers that they represent the company everywhere they go in their work vehicles. One of their work trucks created a dangerous situation by not following the passing lane law that is posted all over the highways in Texas. They refused to move out of the left lane while cars stacked up behind them and then eventually had to pass on the right. He was it passing anyone as the right lane was clear and had no one in front of him. Do better and follow the law to ensure optimal safety. Definitely would never use this company based on this type of behavior.

Wanted 6 outlets changed and the source of a short traced. Estimate was nearly $1200. Called another company and they completed the work in an hour for under $250. See my other reviews.If you're using Abacus, assume you're being taken for a ride. I shudder to think how much money they've taken from me on previous jobs.

He replaced my undermount sink with a drop in. He gave me options, advised me on getting my granite cut, was prompt in the installation, and did an excellent job.

Mel is very friendly and knowledgeable. He performed the maintenance check and informed me of some possible weak points. I won't hesitate to call on Abacus again!

Overall the service was good although the labor was steep (almost 300 dollars) for relacing the shower cartridge.

Abacus was great, they handled a full replacement of 3 separate heating and A/C systems in my home. Daniel, who advised us on the replacement options after he inspected our old system, was also involved in the installation, and is just fantastic, he is extremely professional and conscientious, and a great communicator. I’ve never had someone explain systems and various options in that level of detail so clearly and patiently. Joe managed the team behind the install behind the scenes but came by multiple times to be sure everything was on track and he was just great. I especially appreciated the final tuning, air flow analysis, and walk through of the systems both Daniel and Joe gave us after everything was installed. The service options and long warranty are great as well.

Clayton arrived on time, identified the problem and completed the repair. All in a professional manner. Will recommend, Abacus and Clayton and won't hesitate to use them the next time.

We had a great experience with Eddie from Abucus. He was friendly and made it over to our house to help us very quickly. We had the toilet valve bust and water was streaming out like a firehouse. He could see we had an issue from outside the house due to water running out of the siding and acted quickly to stop the flow of water. He took the time to talk through our options for upcoming full repairs on the toilet and water heater even though it was late at night. Edit: 3/11/2022Updating my rating as the company fixed the drywall that was cut out during the panel installation. Happy with the crew they sent out from Aztec Services they did a great job.Just ok service that was overpriced. We had an electrician out here to replace the electrical panel in our house as the one we had previously was not up to code. Although the technician was on time and very personable I ended up unhappy with the service. The tech cut into the drywall stating it was necessary to get the new panel in; but its the same size as the the current one so not sure how that adds up. Now I have a very ugly wall that I will need to get repaired. I paid almost $4,000 for them to fix the electrical issue, but leave me with another problem that I will now need to pay to have fixed. Will not be using their services again.

We needed all of our outstanding replaced as well as our outdoor panel repaired. Abacus was great from beginning to end!The estimate process was fast and Aaron was professional and friendly. The two technicians who did the job were great. They were polite and easy to have around. They worked efficiently and the job was completed on time and well done!

Quoted $9,000.00 for a tank-less water heater w/ install. For warranty I would have to buy their $1,600.00 unit. Job:- Remove existing attic water-heater, vent-pipe replacement, electrician for 3-5ft length of connection, plug into existing gas pipe with a 3ft pipe, cap old connection. Permits. So all in all about $700+ hourly rate. Will never use Abacus.

The last thing you want to happen on a Sunday is to see water flowing out of your garage. But Abacus helped to fix my broken water heater on the same day without any hesitation or difficulty. The technician James was polite, fast, and very thorough; even going above and beyond my expectations.I especially liked the text that gives a background of my technician before they arrive, it was such a nice touch.

I just had the best experience with Abacus! My technician was David Jiles and he was very professional and accommodating! I have been using them most of the year on my rental properties, but now they have earned my exclusive business on all future AC repairs.

I was just getting an estimate for some electrical work but these guys are impressive.Setting the appointment was a little laborious but then the communication and professionalism helped me forget that first part.He listened to everything I was saying, took pictures asked questions if he was unsure and discussed options. Then he went over six levels of service from the best of everything I asked for ratcheting down each option if I wanted to leave things out. Each option had a breakdown of the cost of every item. He also said if I wanted some other option that he hadn't covered to let him know and he'd send that too. He then sat in his truck to create the estimate and emailed it to me before he ever left my view sight.I am still collecting estimates, but they have really set the bar high for the next guys.

Omid Mandave was so professional! He talked us through all the possible issues with our toilet before showing us some possible solutions and prices. The price was very transparent with no surprises! Because we live in a condo on the bottom floor, it was so helpful that Omid explained in detail the possibilities before getting to work. Luckily the toilet is now fixed with no leaks or backup issues! He even left the extra solution with us so we can pour more down tomorrow. We would for sure recommend to friends and family in town.

I was given an appointment for the next day, free of charge.I was notified in advance who my technician ( Gabriel Lensing) would be and given some background info on him. Gabriel also called an hour ahead to let me know he was on his way.Gabriel was professional, knowledgeable, and personable. He talked to me about what would be involved in the project and provided me with his business card and e-mailed me a written estimate.I told him I wanted to get a couple of other estimates before making a decision, and Gabriel was very polite and accepting of my reason for not committing at this time.I was very impressed with the company from the moment I called to ask for a consult to the follow up and reminders via email and text messaging. Great experience with Abacus! We had Jason run the crew to update wiring, panels, recessed lighting and outlets/switches in our older home after purchasing. The team worked through our house quickly making these updates and encountered a number of odd situations where old wiring was done in a less than ideal way, Jason quickly identified and was able to troubleshoot solutions to these and correct. Big shout out to Jacob, Brad and Trey who were professional, friendly and went well beyond to ensure everything was perfect. Highly recommend the team at Abacus and we will absolutely call them for any future electrical needs.

They do fine work if you’re in a jam… have used them a few times before…. but to move a couple service lines they just quoted us $2500. I just did it myself in about 2 hours.

Abacus plumbing Jetted my kitchen sewer line,few days later Edward came out and put a camera through the line to verify everything was clean. there were still a lot of grease in the line which made putting the camera through the line very difficult so Edward rejected the line. I was very pleased with Edward’s determination to get my kitchen sewer line clean, which definitely took some effort but ultimately he prevailed and now I’m a happy customer.

Called Abacus this morning when we discovered a leak with our shut off valve. Was told they could have someone out between the time I called and 1800. Within 30 minutes I received a call from Edward that he was in his way.He arrived, was very professional and went right to work. He took his time fixing/replacing our valve. I have an older house which always presents challenges. Our technician James Goodson worked through all those issues until everything was working perfectly and done right.

One company told us we needed a whole new unit after 10 minutes of being at our home. Erick came in and fixed the issue in no time without recommending a new unit at this time.

This was our annual plumbing maintenance appointment. Chester was very professional and checked all the faucets and bathrooms in our home. He would have drained the water heater but it was a new one, installed in April. We were able to track his arrival via a message they sent us. We like that this company is now in Austin also. We used them while in Houston and they employees were always professional, showing up on time.

I had a under the slab water break and Abacus Plumbing fixed it for me in early July this year. Their techs and work were great and the job was completed in 2 days as promised. I was told that Abacus would contact me regarding inspection from the city. As of to date (August 12, 2022), I have yet to receive and communication from Abacus although I called them up twice about the inspection. Their response each time was I'll send a note to the person responsible who will contact you shortly. I give them 2 stars (average of 5 stars for good work and minus one (-1) star for never getting back to me). I can't get a contractor to patch up the 41 holes in the ceiling and wall without city inspection and approval. It really sucks!!!

We contacted Abacus for a water heater assessment and Cody was able to come within 2 days. Cody called 30 minutes before arriving. He was very knowledgeable, patient, and willing to address all of my questions. In the end we needed a new water heater which Cody was able to schedule and complete that same day! All of the techs that came were polite and professional and we had minimal downtime where the water was off completely. I am impressed with the level of service and product education provided. Cody even shared we would need to do for our water heater just in case we have another winter storm with power and/or water outages again. I recommend Abacus plumbing services from our experience. Had them come out for an inspection of my AC to make sure it was running efficiently and to address a rust issue. Cameron, the technician, was very professional and personable. He addressed my concerns. I decided to buy a service for $99 a year that covers two inspections a year for peace of mind. And when they give you a time, that is the time they show up....plus you can track them all the way until they arrive.

Electrician Donny B. was fabulous. He came in and reviewed everything, gave us an estimate, and was able to start right away. He was very thorough and did a great job installing ceiling fans and light fixtures that needed to be done for years. He explained how to get the best lighting out of the fixtures. We are well pleased with his work.

Installed connection for natural gas on patio. Called on Tuesday, they scheduled for next day. Their plumber called first thing to confirm he would arrive in 30 minutes. He showed up, estimated and explained the work and as soon as I accepted the bid he started working. I asked about two other tasks. He explained that gas log installation is not something the do. He looked at two locations for a utility sink and made good recommendations. He estimated the work and was able to complete the work same day. Andrew patiently fielded plumbing questions and I would recommend his services.

Daniel Moreno was visiting a neighbor but was kind enough to hear my complaint in passing about another AC company that said that I needed an entirely new system ($10,000 worth) even though my house was just built 5-6years ago. He came into my home, checked a couple of things, hosed off my outdoor unit, and was able to give me some useful advise - all without an appointment. I thought that said a lot about his and Abacus. I also notice that they specialized in the brand of HVAC system that was in my home. He gave me his card in case my unit continued to act up. About a week later, I called and Abacus sent me Frank. Frank taught me a few things about my unit, and diagnosed it with a part that was $1500.00 instead, which of course, I was happy to pay since it was no where near the $10K assessment someone else gave me. Frank was unable to fix it that day since the part was on order. In a few days, they sent me Shane. Shane was able to teach me a bit more about my unit and installed the part for me. The unit started functioning and testing exactly how it was supposed to. I really appreciated them listening to my entire story, asking great follow up questions, and actually solving the problem instead of giving me no options besides replacing the entire HVAC system. Thanks Abacus!

I had requested some overhead lighting be installed in our Living Room. Michael came out to our home and provided us with an estimate. We agreed to have the work done. Michael and Bradley came back on 9/6/22 and performed the work. They were both very professional and friendly. They worked fairly quickly and caused very little disruption to our home. They were very neat and cleaned up after they were done. We were very pleased with the work performed and the lighting is just what we needed.

Water heater went out. We got several estimates and felt they offered by far the best value of service compared to competitors. After considering tankless, we had a regular tank unit installed. David was great on his initial visit and Preston was equally good with the install. We would recommend.

I am a member of their HVAC maintenance program, cancelling tomorrow. One of my AC units stopped working. We called to get priority service that comes with the membership, they came next day, this was great. The woman that booked it on the phone stated explicitly there would be no charge for them to come out and assess what was wrong. The repairman showed up and checked things out but immediately kept telling me that I had an expensive system and this would not be cheap. Red flag #1. He went up to check the unit in the attic and within about 2 minutes came down and said the coils were leaking and they needed to be replaced. This took him almost no time at all.. Red flag #2. I told him that the coils had been replaced 2.5 years ago and they were probably under warranty.. he called immediately back to the shop to check. After the call he reported they were not under warranty and he didnt expect them to be anyways. He came back with a quote for $6300+ to replace the coils and a bunch of other things attached to the big unit in the attic. It was at this time he said that I needed to pay the service fee before he could leave. Red flag #3 and the trust was broken here. I told him that the woman on the phone told me that didnt apply ( I assumed because I was a member of their program). He said no, if he had to pull any tools out at all during the diagnostic that it did then apply. The only tool he pulled out was a voltage machine to check the power to the condenser, which I already told him I did myself.. so what other tools call for a $100 service fee? This was the exact moment I thought something was up. They would have gotten away with the $6300 charge if it wasnt for this. I reluctantly paid the service fee because I had to get back to work. I knew something was up with this rep so later that day I called another AC repair service to get a second opinion. They came the same day and confirmed it was the coils that failed and were leaking.. BUT they informed that the coils were STILL UNDER WARRANTY like I thought they were. All of the other things the Abacus rep said needed to be replaced was also false, per this company. The new quote from new company.. $1600. New company was Elite Air Conditioning and Plumbing. They came the very next day with the warranty coils, replaced them, cleaned everything in their path and on the way out and were way more trustworthy. They didnt try to upsell me anything like the abacus guy did AND didnt charge a service fee when I accepted their quote. Abacus has lost my trust. Cancelling my membership with them.

Our tankless water heater had stopped producing hot water when we returned from trip on Saturday. I called Abacus and they scheduled a repair technician to come Monday. Isaac arrived at noon and determined the unit had shut down. He restarted unit and then made certain hot water was flowing to all areas of house. He explained how the unit worked, reasons it could have shut down, made recommendations going forward. He was very professional, thorough in his explanations, including pricing and scheduling options should we want to replace our unit which is now 18 yrs old. We appreciated Abacus’s quick response and resolution to our issue. We highly recommend them for all plumbing repairs due to their professionalism, quick response, and integrity!

Abacus was so easy to work with - prompt service, price as advertised, and professional tech. Omid was fun and efficient - gave me some good advice on possible work needed, but without pushing or any hard sell. I will use them again when needed!

Our Abacus electrician Michael Walter was awesome. He took on several tasks with haste, efficiency and all in a professional manner. He went above and beyond to make sure we were satisfied and we will definitely be requesting him for all future electrical projects.

The thermostat that was sold to me with the HVAC was faulty, he replaced with a new unit that was also bad. Offered to order one direct from the factory, I declined. Asked what the price was for a Ehcobee 3 lite was and they stated discounted at $419.00, which I can bUy my myself elsewhere for $150.00, so I declined. I believe Abacus should have refunded a portion of my cost or given me the ehcobee at cost. This was not the technician’s fault! I have since ordered a ehcobee 4 for $219.00 from a separate company. They should at least install this unit for free. The original installer’s never tested the thermostat for both heat and air conditioning (first mistake) they would have caught the bad thermostat during the install, they tore apart my attack entrance which was never fixed by Abacus, I had to buy and repair myself, even after I notified their main office of this issue. I am not happy with the overall support, even after I recommended them to a neighbor. They installed his HVAC with a better unit (same size) a Ehcobee 4 and insulated his attic for the same price they charged me for just the HVAC?

I called Abacus Plumbing to trouble shoot an electrical problem with an GFI outlet. The technician found the problem quickly and fixed it and also check several other outlets for problems. I was very happy with the service.

Eddie Pollack was exactly the professional we needed. He was thorough and most patient. He was tenacious in determining what our most unusual problem was with water pressure. When it looked like the issue was indeterminate, he keep asking the right questions. I highly recommend him and will have him back when we need a plumber!

We had Abacus out to give an estimate on replacing two water heaters. They were out immediately and got an estimate within 30 min. The estimate was written incorrectly. Had installing American water heater with a Rheem part number. Received an email right after the estimate asking if any questions about the estimate. Responded asking for clarification. No response for 2 days. Call in. Told the estimator will contact me that day. Nothing. Understanding that things happen, call in the next day. Told I am on the estimators schedule to contact that day. Nothing. Call back after the weekend and ask to speak to someone now. Told yet again I am on the estimators schedule for today. Ask to speak to someone. Told yet again I am on the schedule. Done. If you don’t accept the estimate as is immediately, good luck.

This is an update to my review from October 2021.Had a water heater installed. It was recommended that I get a water pressure valve installed too. I think that was about $300 more, but it sounded like a good idea.Today I have a plumber out to fix a leak in my yard and....it's the water pressure valve. Wasn't installed very well. New Plumber says, You just got this? There's old piping around it. Looks like they did a quick job.Just called Abacus and they said they can get someone out tomorrow (I'm losing a half gallon of water a minute!), and there's no guarantee they'll say it's their problem.This extra plumbing job to fix their problem is going to cost me $700!!!Why didn't I call Abacus for my new issue (leak in the yard near the street)? Because they came out a few days after doing my water heater and gave my wife an INSANE quote (from $800-$4,000 depending on the work done) on a leak with my HVAC.....which I was glad I got home in time before she signed it. I fixed that small pipe crack with duct tape in about 2 minutes! That killed all my confidence with this company.I recommend avoiding Abacus.

Heater check up done. Reviewed what he checked which includes the attic. Never had that checked with old company. Provided estimates for a couple of recommendations.

I had a case where the ground to my house was no longer working and was getting over 220 bolts in the house which blew my ac blower motor and other items. Randy came and quickly found the issue and had it resolved. Explaining to me each thing done. Its always good to find someone you can trust with good rates.

Technician named Thomas (not in your list of technicians, probably because he was working there only 4 months) was NOT wearing shoe covers, gloves, or mask when he came to the door. I didn't mind THAT but that was what your scheduling receptionist said he would be wearing, over the phone. He also didn't seem completely knowledgable on ceiling fan wiring and the power needed for light kits, and he had trouble reinserting the hardware into the fan, first by holding the fan up for him, and then get on my bed and screw in the h/w for him. Didn't mind helping but that's very risky to have a customer assist with all that part of diagnosis. When he left my house, he didn't secure the main rotor well, now it wobbles a lot on high speed. Did not do that before.Also, he did not know how to find the source of the neutral wire failure in one of the dining room outlets. He said one needed rewiring and the other needed replacing. So I asked him to do that. He charged me $ 240 for changing 2 electrical outlets and waived the diagnostic fee. He offered to just have me pay the $ 160 but I felt I should pay him for his time, assuming one of the outlets was working now. I thought one of the 2 outlets worked but it STILL DOESN'T. So nothing was actually fixed. He diagnosed the fans but that was it. Please refund me the difference between the $240 and the $ 160 diagnostic fee. Thanks

Great service and communication from the start. Service tech Sean was able to find the issue and get a solution in place. Install tech Danny made sure everything was working properly before leaving. A/C repair/replacement is not fun or cheap, but when Sean was troubleshooting he found the exact issue and thoroughly explained and provided more then one solution along with a preferred solution to avoid further complications.

After having a nightmare of a time with Precision Heating and Air, and going back and forth with them for over 2 weeks trying to get them to fix our AC, I finally gave up and called Abacus and I am so glad I did! They were able to send someone out within 24 hours. Our technician Cameron was incredibly knowledgeable, professional, and polite. It took him about an hour to fix the issue. I wish I would have called them two weeks ago when our AC went out! We will definitely be calling them in the future for any other MEP needs for our home!

One breaker was tripping. I guess the age was the factor. Abacus proposed replacing Gen2 with Gen6. Cost of one breaker replacement was very high, 40% of replacing the whole panel breakers. So, I went ahead with all breakers option. Let's see if these last for 5 plus years or more.

Our technician name (Donny Bolls) was not listed on the Abucus pull-down menu for this survey, but I really want to make sure he receives the highest praise from his superiors because he did an outstanding job for us today! We have a 3 y/o house and have had issues with all of the outside outlets for the last 2 years at least and have had two different contractors out, paid them big bucks, they worked for a few days or a few hours and went out again. So far it's been 1/2 a day and they are all still working, so it is a lot better than the last contractor we had out already! Donny was so patient and listened to the entire boring story about our ordeal with the outlets, troubleshooted one-by-one, and finally figured out what our problem has been the entire time I believe. He explained everything to us very professionally, yet easy enough so that a couple of elderly, non-tech savy people could understand what the issue was and what he did to fix it. We are elated that someone finally really took time to troubleshoot enough to figure out what the Real problem was and fix it. The Technician was David J. His courtesy was exceptional. When I decide to select a company for the water heater it will most likely be Abacus. From my very first contact with ABACUS I have been impressed. From my initial email to them contacting me, no time was wasted. Once I scheduled an appointment Andrew was assigned to come to our home. He was professional, kind and efficient. Everything was explained and the work completed as promised. We know who to call if we need any additional work completed.

Did a great job fixing a leak we had as a result of a nail puncturing a pipe in our bathroom (flooring company did this while putting up baseboards). It was a tough repair and Eddie stayed late to make sure it was repaired and that we were good to go. Highly recommend.

Vinny located a weak breaker that was causing issues in the house. He discussed the work that would be done, who would coordinate with a local power company and the costs involved.

Omid Mandave was our tech today! He is heaven sent. Our sink had been clogged for almost 2 months and with 2 other techs coming out to unclog it prior with no success he was determined!About 45 min later our sink is back up and running! He was so kind and communicative throughout the entire process.I'd definitely call & request him for any future plumbing needs.

I found myself calling for A/C emergency service. Abacus actually answered the phone. Joe came out and diagnosed bad compressor. No charge for the visit. I was promised a compressor repair estimate. Next day I was told no compressor could be found for my unit. I called myself with S/N and model number in hand and immediately found four in stock. In the meantime I received my Abacus emailed estimates for complete unit replacement. One came in about $10 grand and the other 15. Since my unit was still cooling at night I decided to get a second opinion. The morning of that appointment Joe called. I asked for the initial promised estimate for compressor repair. My response on call back from Joe, was that his manager refuses that repair because of liability issues. Looks like I am stuck with replacing the whole unit, right? Wrong. My service for second opinion finally arrives. Clogged drain line. $178 to blow the line. Beware of Abacus A/C service. They are selling units, not repairs.

I called them up today at 1pm because the other electrical repair company screwed up my scheduling, and I've been without electricity in my kitchen for 3 weeks. Clayton Martin was awesome. He discovered a leak I had outside in my yard while walking to my front door. There was a build up of water from a busted pipe. He was there to give me an estimate on replacing 2 toilets and shower heads. It only made sense that I hired him to fix my plumbing issue. Great job and awesome customer service! I came home around noon to find water pooling around my meter and valve in the front yard. I called Abacus who came right out, diagnosed the problem and arranged for repair that required digging up the valves and replacing them. The work was done professionally and quickly and restored my sense of well being.

I cut a random purple line in my yard and after finding almost no information online I called abacus. They sent someone out first thing the next morning (currently very rare) Clayton was very knowledgeable and friendly. He was also up front about the things he wasn't sure about!!! To me, having someone come out for a FREE evaluation and be willing to acknowledge when they need to seek advice from another source is a MAJOR indicator of integrity and honesty.He contacted the resources he had available to him and they responded quickly with the information. In a time where companies are almost, by policy , trained to BS people in order to make as much money as possible I found my experience with abacus to be extremely refreshing and positive. This problem needs to be handled by another type of service but in the future I will certainly be calling them when I need some help or advice. I never do these reviews. Maybe once or twice my whole life. These guys deserve it 10/10!!!!!

First of all, I thank God that he placed the company in my view on my first search. My plumber, Strand, was too busy to assist in my 911. Called Abacus, explained my living area was flooding from a slab leak and they came out immediately. Had Dry Force restoration come and vacuum the water and provide humidifiers and dryers. Awesome job!! I thank Abacus for making the process easy and great customer service. Kudos to Clayton, Teddie and Preston!!

Our air conditioner went out today and Chase came out to our home to give us estimates and information as to our options for a new unit. Mr. Jiles shoed provided after hours service at 1am. He arrived less than 1 hour from the time I called the ABACUS dispatch. Mr. Jiles was totally knowledgeable identifying and fixing the problem in less than 20 minutes. He proceeded to inspect the rest of our A/C for any other issues before calling the job done. I've literally never had service this professional and this quick with ANY business. I felt like we'd called an EMT for our A/C system. I have an elderly mother that has limited mobility and lives in the home with me so getting this fixed before the sun came up the next day was crucial and Mr. Jiles treated it as such. I can't say enough good things about how impressed and satisfied we are!

Very satisfied with Jason’s work. Installed the cut off safety switch and outlet for my back up generator. Neat and efficient, and patiently explained the proper procedure to use the outlet following a power failure.

First and foremost, my family and I want to say thank you to Isaac Martirosian! While on vacation our water heater busted, and Abacus Plumbing responded swiftly after hours. Isaac is honest, compassionate, and attentive. I personally had dozens of questions that ranged in simple to complex, and Isaac took the time no matter what he was doing to explain until I understood the answer. Having professional personal skills like that is validating because it showed in his workmanship as well. Our new water heater is up and running, and I am amazed how great the new system looks installed and performs. The best thing was that he couldn't find any electrical problem - amd I wasn't charged for the call. Can't beat that!

I got SIX quotes for ripping out an existing tub, and installing a new one. Abacus was the final company to come to give me a quote, and their estimate was 3 times the price of all the other companies!!! Most companies wanted to charge around $1500 but Abacus was over $5K. That's insane. When I laughed at how much he quoted us, the technician made a bunch of excuses like those other guys probably aren't licensed plumbers (I looked it up, they are). Personally I think he saw a young couple and thought Jackpot, lets charge them triple.The part that irritates me the most is none of the other companies charged me to come and give an estimate, but Abacus charged $149 just to come give me a ridiculous price.I should mention that I used Abacus years ago to fix a water heater leaking. It was pricey, but I was desperate to get it fixed, and they did a good job so that's why I contacted them for this job. But after this, I'll never contact them again.

Donny, gave me a fair estimate on the cost for setting up an inlet for a portable generator. It's more than I anticipated becuase the 20yr old home had some parts that are not avilable. DO NOT EVER WORK WITH Abacus, worse experience I ever had, I called last week to diagnosis the issue, the technician said you need to replace the AC, so I agree with him and came last Wednesday to replace it. After paying $7500 for brand new system, my home is hotter than it was before. I called Thursday because I have issue cooling my home below 75 even during night which is not the hottest part of the day, the technician arrived after 2 hours, and he agree the installation is not correct and the outdoor unit have leak. I called back the company asking for the manager phone number (Joe) but no one want the give me his number, they told me he will call you back and off course no one call me. today they sent the installation guys to fix the leak but still same issue, and I got surprise when they told me maybe there is different issue, REALLY the company don’t know how to diagnosis what was wrong with my AC?

The work was great. Just didn't realize I got a plumber that was also a use car salesman. When I set up the appointment the lovely lady on the phone said go to our website there is a coupon for like $50 off for first time customer. Looked at the coupon said minimum $250 to use, perfect. Use car salesman gets here we talked about the clogged drain and the running toilet. Gives me the estimate and I said oh the coupon, and he says you can't use it I give you special price 123 to snake the drain. The old bait and switch. Price still wasn't bad and my only day off, so basically I was stuck. Then he got dirt all over the bathroom floor, so there's that. Problem got fixed, just could have done without the use car salesman.

This seems to be a GREAT group. I didn't even mind the after hours upcharge. The problem SOLVED in my schedule was worth it.

18 July. Abacus tells us they will have an employee come out. When 'Sean' showed up 4 hours late. Fine. No worries but Sean ended up FALLING through our kitchen ceiling during his attic inspection. Sean refused to let us call for medical help. Sean begged us not to call the business and he insisted on leaving immediately. He didn't offer to clean the billows of insulation or debris. Sean left and simply told us we would get a call in the morning. We had to wash everything that was outside our cabinets, was towels, sweep, and reorganize. Next morning...no call. We sat here with a gapping hole, a/C escaping, and God knows what. We called family to try to patch it and nothing worked. NO ONE CALLED . We had to reach out at 1....we finally got someone out here at 6pm! AND IT STILL ISNT FIXED!!!! We ordered a damn near 15,000 unit and they won't fix our house!!!!

We received notification in advance of their service person's arrival. We appreciated their effort to keep us updated.3. Eddie Pollack arrived on time and was wearing a mask, which we really appreciated. He listened to our explanation of the problem and after checking out the water heater he explained the approach he would take to resolve the problem.4. Eddie kept us informed throughout his work process.5. Eddie and Abacus were able to provide all of the necessary parts so that we were able to have hot water ASAP.6. I had called Abacus for a plumbing issue previously and chose because of the reviews and lower service charge. I didn't end up using them then due to someone else having earlier availability. Our AC stopped working this weekend (early summer heat) and I called Saturday. They have a higher service charge after hours (it was almost evening) and let me know that and said the next earliest would be Monday, so I elected to wait until then. Sean came first thing in the morning and called to give me about a 30-45 minute heads up. He came on-time and got straight to work. He was very polite and professional. He looked at the system and before he moved forward let me know and showed me what was wrong and what would be needed immediately to fix. He also let me know that price up front and then we talked about recommendations for prolonging the life of my unit (already 10 years old) and pricing options. He didn't put pressure to make a decision and asked if okay to move forward with the initial piece. He also recommended I Google the other parts recommended while he was fixing the first piece to aid in my decision. I did and we went over pricing options again and he was patient with my questions, which I very much appreciated. He was in and out pretty quickly (a little over an hour) and now our house is cooling and my kids are grateful. I would definitely use them again and recommend!

Daniel was extremely professional and knowledgeable. He took his time to examine the issue, ask questions and explain his recommendations. He gave me options and did not pressure the situation.He was easy to talk to and I appreciated his involvement in trying to decide what action to take with my HVAC system. Andrew Simons came to give an estimate for a water heater installation. He was friendly, knowledgeable and seemed to be honest and strait forward with the information presented.

I had an emergency situation whereas the A/C lines backed up in the attic, the drip pan overflowed, and the water saturated the ceiling wetting the sheet rock, creating a hole, w/pieces of the ceiling falling onto the ground. Shane initially diagnosed the problem on an after hours call, & the next morning the repair team (led by Jose) from Abacus was at my door. They also had a QuickDry company on site immediately to dry & repair the water damage. Amazing service, honest ppl, & fair pricing. Shane & Jose were fantastic. I dropped my HVAC maintenance contract w/an established Austin company & moved over to Abacus. Stellar customer service!

We had technician Sean Cavanagh come out for a scheduled service call to our house. We had no cooling AC. He was on time, professional, courteous and was able to diagnose our AC issues within the first 30 minutes of being onsite. Overall, great experience, cost was within our budget and Sean even called the office to get us a promo discount to be applied, which was imo an above and beyond approach to customer service. Will refer to friends and family, they have my business for the future as well!

David was great, very kind and courteous, a five-star technician. His knowledge of the system and what to look for far surpassed that of other technicians and inspectors, and he found the issue after a little troubleshooting.Another company who installed cooling equipment before we bought the house whiffed on that and it has never worked correctly. David located the problem quickly and gave us an estimate on the spot.

Jason is a great guy and did a wonderful job. The only complaint was that they dupe you with no service charge to come out and look, but they rolled it into the price of the service. We had another electrician that quoted much less for the same service. Thanks for the service. But we will not go back for those prices.

Cameron was prompt, polite and professional. Looked at my system I let him know I wanted a new one. He gave me some quotes on different options. I told him the number I was working with he said let's install it tomorrow. They had very reasonable financing. Cameron came by 3 times during the install to see how it was coming along. We had them come out to do a plumbing inspection. They did an outstanding job with the inspection itself but honestly the price quotes I felt like I was at a car dealership $1,700+ dollars to replace 10 quick turn off valves / supply line feeds from 2 toilets and 4 sinks.

These technicians are obviously salesman. He tried to convince us that we needed a whole new system costing between $15,000 and $25,000 depending on parts. Tried to prey on us while it was 100 degrees outside. We had another company come out for a second opinion and told us that was BS and repaired it for $1,500. DO NOT use these guys are at least get a second opinion.

Nothing of what I was assured would be improved was, smells of mold, air quality is as poor as it was before the service.

Called with an after hour (10 pm) emergency. Had a water leak. I actually called Radiant Plumming first. They were unable to provide service for the active water leak. They had no one available and stated they would call back in the morning to schedule service. Remember... I had a steady stream of water pouring from the ceiling. After getting on the list for a call back this morning; I decided to call Abicus Plumbing and see what they could do. Best decision ever! They responded immediately the had a service provider available to arrive in 25 mins. Forrest arrived on the dot. He was kind, understanding, and extremely professional. He was able to locate the leak promptly and stabilized the leak. He was here barely an hour. He did have to return in the morning to do the actual repair. He was here when he stated and immediately got to work and quickly did the repair. He explained every step and all my options. I felt extremely confident in his ability and his knowledge. I won't use anyone else for my plumbing needs in the future and will request Forrest to be my service repair representative.

Alan was very detailed with his inspection and servicing of both my AC units. He took time to answer all my questions. He provided a detailed report about each units with pictures of any issues found. He provided cost estimates with a couple of levels of products. He was not pushy at all. Just informative. He emailed the information so I have time to research it and decide what I want to do. Great job, very professional

I’ve had 2 experiences with ABACUS and I really don’t like to post negative reviews at all. However, given that I’ve had 2 experiences with them, I felt obligated to provide a review and If I could rate them with 0 stars, that would be more appropriate.Here are my 2 experiences:About 7 months ago we needed to get some outlets upgraded to 50A to work with our new appliances as well as to get them to hardwire the appliances to the new electric box.After making a few calls, ABACUS came out to bid on the job and even though their prices were higher than what I was expecting, they were readily available to get the job done and so I went with it.The technician didn’t really know what she was doing at all, she botched up the job and put the wrong breaker in the outside box. Long story short, I had to help the technician do the work, then someone else showed up to help the technician and in the process of hardwiring the appliances, they banged up one of the appliances.When they were done, I didn’t pay them since they were going to replace the banged up appliance with a new one. That didn’t really happen and I had to talk to the appliances vendor who were kind enough the replace it.We proceeded to test the appliance and it was not working at all and they came out again to review their work. Then, they then proceeded to tell us that we needed a new panel since they had identified some potential fire hazards with the external panel and suggested that we do that work.They replaced the panel (the price was really high, but they did come down to a relatively reasonable level), but didn’t upgrade it to 200A as we had originally discussed and rather left it at 150A.Second time around, I needed a 50A outlet added to my garage to charge and electric vehicle. I called around and ABACUS was again readily available, so I figured I would give them a second chance.They came out to look at the work and quoted me about $2000 for adding an outlet in my garage (YES REALLY!!!!!!). When I asked the technician about explaining the cost, he simply said: “the price is the price”. Was not really wanting to go over the quote and explain, very unprofessional behavior.Last thing he told me was: “Our prices are based on the task and not on hourly rates, so I’ll send you the quote via email and let me know if you want to do it”. Meanwhile, he was right there and didn’t want to explain the reason for the crazy price.I called a couple of other electricians with great reviews to get quotes on the same job and their quotes were all in the $350-$500 range.ABACUS is robbery, do yourself a favor and STAY AWAY!!!

I am very impressed by the professional and outstanding service Abacus provided. We had issues with outdoor electrical plugs. Our technician Randy found the issues, and effected repairs. It took 2 visits, but that was due to issues with the wiring in our house. Randy was fabulous. I recommend him and Abacus without reservation

My hot water heater went out on New Year's day. Abacus had a real person answering the phones on that holiday! They scheduled me for Monday. Eddie was here shortly after 8 am. He quickly diagnosed the problem (old water heater) and gave me several options (no pressure to choose a particular option). By 10:30, I had a new hot water heater installed.Eddie and Chase were very professional. I will definitely use Abacus again and highly recommend this company.

I had been struggling with a low water pressure issue for some time. Alan and his partner Juan came by and went through the house troubleshooting the issue, in the end they found what was a much lower cost solution than what I expected. Overall a fantastic customer experience and highly recommended.

I called Abacus due to an issue with one of my recessed light fixtures, which I couldn't get to because it was in a stairwell with a high ceiling. I appreciated the easy-to-navigate website, professional and friendly service by both the person who scheduled my appointment and the electrician, Randy. I received an email with a photo prior to his arrival -- a reassuring practice when someone is coming to your home. Randy arrived on time and addressed my issue quickly and thoroughly. The process was painless and I'll definitely contact Abacus again, should the need arise.

Andrew texted before arrival and after arriving performed the annual maintenance of the water heater in the time he estimated before starting the job.

Abacus is the only company that was able to get a technician out on the same day that our heater was acting up (when temps were below freezing). Other companies said it would be the next evening and even three days later before they were able to send someone out. Cameron was friendly, easy to understand and honest. I would absolutely recommend Abacus to my friends and family; fair, honest and friendly!

My experience was one of the most positive I have had with a service provider. From the first phone call to the service tech coming out was very professional. My service tech, Nick was awesome. I never felt like it was just a sales job. He thoroughly explained and showed me everything he recommended and why. He checked my system really good and gave me options for my repair. This is the company i will use for service on my HAVAC system.

Called Abacus because we had water pressure issues through out our 6 year old house. There service was excellent, Andrew Simons was our technician and did a fantastic job, starting out by being responsive and on time, to diagnosing the issue which ended up being a pressure valve from the main line which he replaced after we discussed the options. Service was excellent and pricing felt fair. I would recommend to anyone in need of plumbing services past the point of DIY maintenance.

Sean came out when we had an issue with our AC unit during the heat of the summer. He successfully diagnosed the issue and we were back up & running in no time. As a result, we decided to purchase a 2ce/year maintenance check-up plan. Sean arrived again in December to do a maintenance overview of our furnace to ensure we're all set for the cold months. He was timely and professional, and he made some helpful preventative maintenance suggestions that we are grateful for. We will continue to use Abacus because of the great service we have received from Sean.

David from Abacus came out to my house. I found him professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. I can wait a bit before I need a long-term solution to my issue. But I was very satisfied with the visit.

Abacus was the only company that I could find on the first Monday after the weekend freeze and power loss. Our old electric water heater no longer worked and was badly leaking in the attic. Abacus came right out, turned off the electricity and water at the heater, drained it, and gave me a fixed estimate to replace it with a new heater and install a relief valve and local circuit breaker as required by city code--the attic location was very difficult to reach and required removal of an attic stair and frame and cutting water pipes for access and removal. They supplied a great carpenter to do that job. On the next day that I was at home (on Friday of that week) two installation plumbers and the carpenter arrived and worked hard for most of the day. Everything is working; they managed to avoid damaging anything (lots of pipes and wires in the way in the attic), and they kept every thing clean. The price was exactly as quoted, not cheap, but reasonable for all the work they did. Here are my only minor irritations: First, on Monday I was told that the labor to shut down the old water heater would be credited on the final price (no extra charge for day one) only if I agreed right then to the full job. I thought that was a tacky business practice, and the plumber was embarrassed to report this pricing decision from his boss. Second, the Friday workers, who had been professional, efficient, courteous, and neat the entire day, failed to attend to some minor things at the end that would have taken only five minutes to clean up and leave a lasting impression of professional quality: (1) the attic door was not left fully seated in closed position, and when I went into the attic to check, they had left the attic light on; (2) the manhole cover (very heavy) was opened to reveal the water meter and cutoff valve, but was not replaced; (3) the circuit breaker box in our garage was left open; and (4) the garden hose (used to test water cutoff) was left uncoiled on the lawn. These are all minor things that literally could have taken attention to detail for just five minutes at the end. This kind of thing could leave one wondering if there were other loose ends that I don't know about--but I think everything is fine. Overall, though, I am very satisfied with them after having initially been suspicious only because I was randomly calling plumbers from the internet after every plumber that had been recommended to me was unable to respond to my emergency call. Now, I would have no hesitation in using Abacus again.

I am very pleased with the work that was done. He conducted a thorough inspection and even discovered things that other plumbers had missed. He cleared my drains in my bathtubs perfectly. My appointment was a re- schedule. When i spoke with Customer service I called regarding add on television for $123.00 or some close that provide camera- service since I had two issues- 1st issue was cold water value replacement-2nd issue was to assistance in finding cause of odor. The rep. stated that all trucks would come eqipped with everthing. When the service tech. who name was David J. arrived he did not have a camera.I really do not blame him he did a wonderful- He did did why my cold was running slow due clogged outlet and hose. But my issue was not totally revolved . He provide three that i need to review and follow-up with. i advise would time to come up with fund but would contact him with 30-45 days

Isaac did a great job. I was very impressed with the knowledge he had on all my systems. He was here to fix a disposal, but also answered other questions I had about my tankless water heater. This led to me purchasing a flow tech water treatment system to protect my heater. He was knowledgeable and helped me decide between a water softener and the system I did get. I would highly recommend Isaac and Abacus!

We called Abacus to replace a leaking bathroom faucet. There response was unacceptable. They did not replace the faucet because they insisted on the necessity to check off their protocol. . Which included locating our heating system as well as our ac unit. Neither of which needed attention. I just wanted my faucet replaced. I would not recommend using this company.

Very friendly and professional answering any questions I had about what they were doing and why. They did the job quickly and cleaned up afterwards. Will use this company again for another electrical redo project and possibly an upcoming plumbing project.

Oct. 20, 2022Just required a plumber to check problem with keeping water in the tank and flushing of toilet. Of course I called Abacus again because I had received such professional and courteous service when my air conditioning unit needed replacement last year. (I admittedly have been wary of plumbers and their integrity, no offense to the responsible plumbers out there.) I was not disappointed in the quality of service from Abacus this time either. Omid was the technician who repaired my stupid old toilet to get it working well again. Omid took special care to keep the area clean and explained thoroughly as he worked through the problem. His explanation will undoubtedly help me save money on my next water bill. Professional, courteous, pleasantly instructive. Omid was excellent.Installed new air-conditioning unit. So far so good. Office staff, sales rep and installers were very professional, informative and seemingly thorough. JUST TODAY I AGAIN USED ABACUS TO DIAGNOSE ELECTRIC SYSTEMS IN MY HOUSE, as some outlets had stopped working. Jason was the licensed technician and he was very professional, thorough with checking all outlets and electrical systems, and patiently explained ALL issues. I do wonder, however, why I don't see his photo among the listed technicians so that he can be identified for his good work? Where is his photo to ID among the many others? I also would say that ABACUS seems a bit expensive . . . but excellent service and home safety come at a price.***Today I had a scheduled appt. for my second seasonal check, for heating in my HVAC system. David Jiles was most knowledgeable and professional. I was extremely pleased. He answered all my many questions with clarity and performed what I perceived as a thorough check of everything while providing useful information for my future reference. No hard sell. I had considered and looked into another company, but am completely satisfied with Abacus. They have proven worthy of my trust. I will continue with their service. Nik was awesome! My thermostat was intermittently losing power; he knew right away that it was the fail-safe switch coming in contact with water. He flushed the line and ensured there wasn’t a clog. He even checked the rest of the unit out and found a spot of mold that needs to be taken care of. He also found where the builder took some shortcuts and outlined what I would need to compensate. He was thorough, professional and personable. I would definitely recommend Nik and Abacus!

I really liked the service from Abacus Plumbing and Electric. They were timely, affordable, professional and efficient. Karl, the plumber, did three things that impressed me: one he actually took off the bottom plate to see where my water heater might be leaking, two he showed me pictures of completed jobs so I would have a clue as to what the new code requirements would look like and three he stated he was proud of his work (thus the pictures) and did things right. I got a better product for roughly the same amount of money with a longer warranty than the competition. I would recommend Abacus.

We had a major plumbing clog issue - it was late on a Saturday and they squeezed us in, got everything flowing for us, and the price was great even with their emergency call out fee it was reasonable! We appreciate them so much!

This team was incredible and I'm so appreciative of their time and work. I've had 8 months of horrible experiences with other contractors/vendors where more damage has been done than good. In this case, I had 3 toilets with issues and the Abacus team were able to come the same day, were knowledgeable, gave me all the possible scenarios and estimate costs, made recommendations to prevent future issues, and were also efficient with their time. Not impressed with this company. Every time this company was scheduled to come fix my broken Pipe they were late. Each time I’m told a time frame and they arrive 2-3 hours AFTER the time frame. For two nights in a row (because they were late to their original time) I have had men in my home past 10pm on weeknights. At 8:30 I asked how much longer and I was told 1hour with cleanup. It’s 10:30 and they’re still here. At some point they need to say “ma’am we’re going to wrap it for the night we will be back at 8:00 to finish up” this is so unprofessional! I have a son who needs to shower and prepare for school. Their dispatch department is rude and unhelpful. When I called to see the estimated time of arrive I was told “you’re in the schedule, they will get there when they can.” After spending upwards of 5k you would think a courtesy call when come into play. The technicians on the second day said things like “sorry this is taking so long, we’re looking for parts.” They felt unprepared and the dispatch was completely unprofessional. No plastic barriers were placed. There’s dirt and crap everywhere!I would’ve given 1 star but my tech Issac on the first day was great.2/10 would not recommend this company

Mr. Jones of Abacus did an excellent job fixing our water heater. It broke and had a leakage. When he came out, within 3 hours the old one was taken out, new one installed and up and running! His colleague brought the new heater to our house so we didn't need to make a new appointment. It was done the same morning! Super professional!

OMG, these people were great! I came home from work to find my AC out and called the company at 5:30 pm as a new customer requesting an emergency visit that day. The lady that scheduled me was very efficient and assured me someone would be out that evening. Rudy arrived at 9 pm and gave me an idea of what was the problem. He would have stayed late to do all the diagnostics but I asked him to finish up in the daylight. Nick also came to my house the next day and provided a very thorough explanation of the problems and helped me make a decision regarding the repairs. The next day, Jose and Pete did a bang up job getting the AC unit installed and working right.I needed an electrician to look at the circuit panel where some of the problems started. Bryan was there the next day, right after the AC was fixed, evaluated the panel and explained what I needed for repairs. Vlad and his partner came to my house in a couple of days and fixed everything. Another big job very well done! Vlad even looked at a fancy light fixture I have that isn't working right and told me what it needed to fix it!Everyone I encountered from this company was a seasoned professional, polite, friendly, and efficient. I don't think I could have hired a better company to handle my repairs!

He was very nice and knowledgeable. But in order for us to get an assignment of a leak, the company wanted to charge is 634 dollars to cut a hole in the wall to “maybe” locate the leak. They call this their “leak detection charge”. And if he couldn’t found it there, he would have to continue cutting holes which would be an additional charge for each hole he cut. And this price would not even go to the cost of the leak repair or to repair the damage to the wall. So we decided to look elsewhere. For $634, I will cut holes in my wall myself, find the leak and then call a real plumbing company!

We had a difficult kitchen sink job due to old plumbing and years of hard water damage. Despite unexpected extra work, Clayton had the experience and skill to solve the problem completely. He stayed focused totally on the task until completely done, even though he had to retreive an additional part. So glad we had a professional on the job.

John Garner, tech, was friendly, respectful, and a joy to talk to. Explained everything he was doing and how to maintain drain. Definitely will use services again.

1/13/22 Derrick Vizcarrondo from Abacus came out to do our fall HVAC Work inspection. He was very friendly and efficient and provided us with some options for upgrades with estimates. My wife and I really like Abacus, third technicians are always top notch!5/9/22 had David Jiles from Abacus check out an issue with our HVAC. A couple of sharp sheet metal screws were protruding from the HVAC cabinet from work that was previously done. David quickly snipped off the ends of those screws and added some insulation around the gas line where it enters the cabinet. Really great service and Abacus as a company is very responsive, can’t recommend them more highly.5/8/22 Updating my review as Google won’t let you submit a review for a company you’ve already reviewed. I recently had a new gas range installed and the installer told me I didn’t have a gas shut off valve in the kitchen. So I called Abacus to have a plumber come out and install one. Eddie Pollack came out and it turns out I do have a gas shut off valve in a bottom cabinet. Eddie was very helpful and not only helped me find the gas shut off valve but also checked out my water heater and water pressure all for no charge! Abacus is a great company that goes the extra mile to make sure its customers are well taken care of and if you need a plumber, ask for Eddie Pollack, he’ll do you right!Ismael Martinez and his partner did an awesome job replacing my HVAC Plenum and some ductwork and installing a new Halo air purifier and cleaning the air ducts. Both men were very efficient and friendly and a credit to Abacus. So far nothing but positive experiences with our Abacus technicians.My apologies to Nik Cook. I accidentally overwrote the review I had previously left for him so I will try and recall what I had written. I cannot recommend Nik more highly. During an HVAC inspection, he found mold in our Plenum and ductwork that the company I previously used (Stan’s A/C) had missed for years. He also found that the water heater Stan’s installed 2 years ago had not been installed correctly which could have caused us to succumb to carbon monoxide poisoning. Fortunately this issue has since been resolved.In short, Abacus is an awesome company that employees great people. It’s not always your best day when something goes wrong with your home’s HVAC, plumbing or electrical, but having a company like Abacus available with courteous and competent technicians available to tackle your issues gives me confidence that no matter what goes wrong, Abacus can get ‘r done.

Very happy with the service and company. Was told it would be about a week. They came out earlier than expected completed all the repairs and was very friendly. Ryan did a great job. Prices were reasonable and expected to pay more than I did considering the supply and demand issue right now. Overall I will definitely be using them again in the future.

Ordered a part and was supposed to install in two days. Three weeks later I had to call them to find out they are behind on parts. No customers service at all.

We had broken pipes due to digging done on our property and water was shut off. He came out at night to repair pipes, replace valves and identify where pipes were connected. Very professional. Fast friendly service.

We had an emergency situation where our toilet was backing up and Abacus sent someone out within a couple of hours. I had my A/C tuned up and serviced. Rudi was extremely friendly and professional and did a great job. I enjoyed talking to him and would definitely use Abacus Plumbing again for any and all future needs. THANK YOU!One week later......the A/C drain line backed up and flooded the air intake area. It was a mess. I called them back and explained the situation. We had just blown out the line last week and here it is clogged a week later. Not happy about that, but they sent another guy, Cameron, after hours to come by free of charge. Cameron was also super nice and performed his work well. We figured out why the line re-clogged (which should have been caught by the first guy)...and fixed the issue.Overall very happy with the service, friendliness,and responsiveness of ABACUS, and would definitely use them again.

I made an appointment last week for someone from Abacus to come out yesterday 11/30/2021 to give us estimates on several projects (new water softener/filter, flush water heater, help with water pressure in kitchen, replace the pipe and faucet outside). No one called, no one showed. I texted the customer service number that I was given, with no response. I finally called, and the lady I spoke with said my appointment had been canceled. She saw that I had texted the number, but couldn’t tell me why I hadn’t gotten a response. After waiting around all day yesterday, I am quite unhappy and confused as to what even happened. How did my appointment get cancelled, and why wasn’t I notified? With all these great reviews online, I’m baffled as to how this could have happened.

Abacus are liars! Every time I see the 1,2,3 drain cleaning TV commercial I cringe. We had Abacus plumbing out to unclog our drain. First their technician, then a manager claimed we had grease in the line and they had to use a different method to clear the drain. Despite their commercials saying “they will unclog any drain” for $123.00 they charged us over $400.00. Don’t trust these lairs!

Issac was the plumber that came to our house. He was very knowledgeable and walked me through everything that needed to be to be done along with the pricing. If every Abacus employee is like Issac, this company will be around for quite some time. I will admit it wasn’t cheap, but when it comes to major plumbing and gas lines, I don’t just want a handy man doing the work. I feel peace knowing a licensed individual did the work and with a warranty.

i called them as my new dryer gave some shock one time. This company came in and charged us to change just one electrical outlet for the dryer alone and charged 400 plus dollars for half hour work!!they also recommended we change every electrical socket for another 2k. Just plain attrocious . I will never hire them again

I contacted Abacus due to a clogged residential drain. Abacus alerted me via text and phone 30 mins before arriving. Omid from Abacus showed up on time and was professional. Omid took the time to explain what he thought the problem was and suggested a remedy. Omid worked efficiently and solved the issue. He demonstrated the fix to me and cleaned up the area perfectly. Our technician was Rudy. He arrived on time with a face mask and shoe covers already in place. He assessed our air conditioning unit as requested. Rudy discussed his findings and made suggestions. Rudy took time to discuss the options with us and helped us to decide on a price we could afford. He performed the agreed upon services very well. Throughout the visit, Rudy was upbeat and friendly, but also understanding of our concerns. We appreciated his friendliness, professionalism and hard work.

We got 2 quotes for replacing both of our old water heaters. Ricky Maldonado came out to look at the set up and gave us great information to help our decision making. The quotes were thorough and he was quick with answers over text after he left. Abacus was a little more expensive, but we liked Ricky's knowledge and professionalism (we also liked that he used shoe covers on our new floors and carpet). In the end, one item on the quote wasn't required and it wound up less that the other quote. Good experience and we have their 8 year full warranty. I'd recommend them.

this called for repair of our ground box taps, which had been inundated with water and were causing voltage surges, causing breakers to trip...very dangerous potentially. Jason with Abacus came out and thoroughly and eliminated the possibility of it being an issue with the house wiring and panel, so patiently waited for hours to make sure he was here to meet with Austin Energy who replaced the corroded couplers in the ground box, after having come 2 days before and insisting it wasn't their problem. thank you, Abacus! Above and Beyond effort, and how we have AC and moreover a safe home.

I had a GFCI breaker connected to my microwave that was bad as well as another GFCI outlet that was Hot when using Christmas lights - originally called ABC, Fox and Salt but none of them could come out except Abacus! Randy was Awesome, here within an hour, explained the problems and made the repairs. He was extremely friendly and courteous and I’d give him and Abacus a 10 if I could! Extremely satisfied with Excellent Service - you Can count on Abacus as their commercial says! ??

They came out very quickly and showed up early to the appointment time. They identified the issue fast and had multiple scenarios for me to fix. They were honest and transparent about the issues. They were not trying to price gauge me. Great experience and highly recommend!

Jose Gauna was great. He arrived on time, validated the issues with our braker box, provided an estimate, and then performed the work. Jose also had us retest the plugs that were popping to make sure the circuits were working properly.

I called for a water heater replacement. Phone service was professional. Plumber arrived early. He made a comment that it truly was a 75 gallon heater when he saw the water heater. He said he would not be able to replace the heater without help which is to be understood but the company was aware it was a 75 gallon tank. Then the plumber said that my water softener was not the correct size for my home. He never entered my home, nor does he know the square footage of my home so how would you know if my water softener is large enough and I didn’t call you for that. Then he tries to sell me a tankless heater. I told him no thanks. He mentioned something about a tankless system a second time and said we would be replacing with another gas water heater. Then he quoted me $7000 and $11,000 to replace it saying there was a lot of work to be done. I told him that was ludicrous and I would never replace a water heater for those prices. Just be aware.

Isaac Martirosian went above & beyond with his customer service. He was extremely polite, knowledgeable, and very careful with our home. I highly recommend him and the service he gave us. Kudos to Abacus for having such great plumbers.

This Tech was out to do a call at my home because our AC stoped working so he came out to tell us we had a blown part that had to be replaced for 450 or something like that plus labor but we really should just replace the whole system that would cost us 7,000-25,000 depending what we wanted. Well my husband went to Lowe’s purchased a new thermostat and what do you know our AC was right back to normal works perfectly fine. Don’t always listen to the person who has an agenda for taking your money go with your gut before you fork out thousands.

Darrel came to inspect our bi-annual service for our air conditioning system. He performed his inspection and gave me a detailed report about what he recommended that would prolong and improve my system's performance. He gave me recommendations from a high cost perspective to a low cost perspective. All of which would improve performance. I have a 20 year system. Edward recommended that I replace my 12 year old water heater. I ask him if there was any part that might fix it. He informed me that it may be the thermal coupler. I ask him to try that part and he reluctantly agreed. I am very impressed with Edward and I would recommended him to anyone for plumbing issues.

I called Abacus for some electrical issues i was having in my upstairs, garage and patio and I could not be happier with their service! From the receptionist to the technicians everyone was extremely friendly and were so communicative.I called several companies before Abacus and they all wanted $100 to one company even saying $500 just to come out and diagnose the issue. Abacus came out with no charge to diagnose the problem. When they came out it ended up being a simple reset and I wasn’t charged. Eddie came to look at the pipe leak and gave us an estimate and work plan to repair. Unfortunately, the old pipe was in a wall, behind the existing heater, in a closet, and the access to it was almost impossible. Eddie went above and beyond to make sure he can do the job right and had to change his plan several times but he managed to replace the leaking pipe. I would reccomed Abacus for their quick response and Eddie for his professionalism. Thank you!

Mr Sean was very business oriented, friendly and professional. He patiently made sure the paperwork was handled correctly and efficiently. He took care of the scheduling for the air conditioner techs who showed up the next morning. The techs made sure everything was installed so that we had air.

I contacted Abacus late in the evening due to suspected gas leak underneath my stove. The team sent Eddie the next morning, who quickly found the issue and was able to replace the leaky gas line. Overall great experience with Abacus. Contacted them for an HVAC tuneup and consult on an airflow issue in one of the rooms in our home. Communication with office was easy and our tech, Nikolas, was proactive with communication and turned up on time. He conducted the service on the HVAC systems, and was happy to share information that was useful about how to keep them performing well. He subsequently gave a couple of options for the airflow issue, which I liked, as we did not feel pressured into a single solution. Nikolas was efficient, and very polite, and we were very happy with the service provided from Abacus. Would definitely recommend them.

I shorted out my house right before I was leaving for work. I flipped the circuits in my garage but nothing happened. After I got back home I searched the outside of my house and found another panel. I flipped the main breaker and one area of my house came back on but rest was still dark. When my AC blower fan died 48 on a Thursday prior to a 100 degree weekend, I called a few companies for help. Only Abacus could send someone that day! David arrived on time, quickly diagnosed the problem, and even though a new motor had to be ordered, he arrived Saturday morning, before I could drop a bead of sweat, and had me up and running in 15 minutes! Maybe some of those other companies should spend less time, money, and effort on goofy TV commercials and try to match this kind of service!

Mr.Anorga was very courteous, professional and knowledgeable. He showed me other matters that I needed to be aware of to protect my AC unit and prevent breakdowns. He welcomed my questions and very patiently answered all of them ; (he is a good teacher / counselor). I would certainly ask for him again. He is certainly a good asset to Abacus. I was charged $300.00 for less than 4 minutes worth of work and also charged an additional $294.00 to install an ice maker shut-off valve which took 2-3 minutes. These prices are outrageous! I will never use them again!

I setup an appointment for the $123 drain cleaning promotion (clear the blog, run a camera, 123 day warranty).I was told that I needed to have an accessible clean out outside, which I do. Upon arrival, the technician stated that I don't qualify because the clog was inside. At this point, I either have to pay the $50 service fee or the, more than double, repair fee of $297 and no warranty. I was not given an option to not pay anything. As the customer, I have no way of knowing that I don't qualify for the special and by the time I find out from the technician, I am required to pay some amount of money, even if no work is performed. I request a special, I was told that I don't qualify for the special and switch to a much more expensive service with no option to refuse service without a fee. There is a name for that practice and it's down right dishonest!I opted to have the service done because I didn't want to shove $50 down my already clogged drain only to call someone else and pay another fee plus the repair. It turns out, the clog was in the cast iron pipes in the slab. The pipes in the slab would have been accessible from the cleanout. It sure seems like I should have qualified for the special!

Massively overpriced. I was out of town and asked my 80-year old mother to be on site for them to give a quote for a whole house surge protector. They ended up charging me $1400 to install a $285 Ditek surge protector!!! Can't say it's labor either. They only spent 15 minutes to do the job. Many electricians in Austin, so consider this when you shop.

This is the second time I've used this company for a leak in my home and again they were awesome. I initially contacted another company, who charged me $100 and sent a plumber who stated that he couldn't help me and advised me to contact an AC repair person. I contacted Abacus who sent over a plumber who had no problem correcting the leakage and they waived the service fee. What I like the most about this company is the integrity displayed by their technicians. On both occasions there were opportuities to overcharge but they were quick to let me know when additional repairs weren't warranted. My technician was Michael and he was very honest, personable and professional. I have decided to become a member as I already know that this is the only company I can call and count on for honest, efficient service.

Abacus installed a whole house water purification system. Talk about organized and on the ball! You never have to wonder who is coming, when they will arrive, etc; you are kept informed every step of the way. Their people are really exceptional and must have extensive training on how to deal with customers. Their follow-through is amazing. Abacus says they want you to be completely satisfied with their job or they will make it right. What I’ve seen so far makes me believe that is true. The two men who came to our house, Tony and Chris, were skilled, courteous, neat, prompt, and good ambassadors for the company. Very happy. Douglas, the electrician, did his part efficiently and with the same professionalism as the others.

He did a lot of hands on hard plumbing work on a few hot humid days and really did a great job. His attitude impressed me. I’m remodeling my kitchen for my new house. In order to finalize my kitchen design, I have to check with an electrician if my oven can be moved a couple of feet over and re-wired.Reached out to Abacus and Angela seemed irritated with my request. She says they won’t provide a quote until the kitchen is done, which I understand, but I asked if she could at least send my request to an electrician to let me know if it could be done and she refused and was so unhelpful at giving me any options. I guess it’s too hard for her to have an electrician take a quick look at my email/photo.I can’t move forward with finalizing my design until I know that this can be done so clearly I can’t just go ahead and design it and then call Abacus out after. I will take my business elsewhere to people who actually want my business.

Our toilet would not stop running. I tried everything I knew to correct it. I decided to shut off the water but the shut off valve did not work. I called another company at midnight and they said they would send someone over in the morning. They did not come. Called and said they couldn’t come for 2 more days due to COVID. I couldn’t waste that much water so called Abacus. They assured me that someone would come today. Ricky and Chance were here in a couple hours. They were efficient and explained everything and all my options. They wore masks and booties to protect my family and our home. I will call them again if I need emergency help again.

Brett showed up and gave several bids on replacing my entire 24-year-old AC system to choose from with such professionalism and empathy that I wanted to hire them immediately. However, I felt compelled to continue researching and trying to make my home warranty pay off. Brett gave me his cell and answered every call answering all my questions and being honest. I did pay more than I would have with the home warranty on he frontside but probably not in the long run. Now, I have a fantastic AC unit with quality work above and beyond what they needed to do. I'll be calling Brett again when my 24-year -old water heater fails! To boot - 0% financing for 60 months!

Website says they're 24 hour service. Had plumbing backup and called to have them come out and they said they couldn't have a plumber available untill Monday. This was on Saturday evening. They were supposed to come out 2 different times for certain issues and never called or showed up. If I could give lower than a one star I would.

I have had 2 tech come out since March to check on a issue I have with my HVAC system in which the compressor would not turn On. I was told in March it was the coil, paid about $2,100 to get it replaced. Now a month an a few days later the the same issues the compressor won't turn On. Had another tech come out and told me I had a bad compressor. I paid another $2,100 to get a new one installed . Guess what not even 24 hours in and the compressor is not working again. I called and let you guys no about the issue and have a tech schedule to come out tomorrow, but what is so frustrating is all the money I'm paying you to fix the issue and it doesn't get fixed. Is like the techs are only putting a band-aid but not actually fixing the issue a 100%. This is unacceptable and I want this issue taken care of ASAP.Second update:After a few techs coming to our house and not been able to solve the issue, they send Ryan Finn (the on call tech) Ryan is in another league, this guy went above and beyond. He didn't just say well I can't replicate the issue or everything is working great, call us if it happens again. Ryan listen to everything we had to say and based on that he started looking into multiple scenarios. He had to come out to our house 2 times, but he was the only one that found what the issue was. We are grateful for all his help, he really helped us. If I can give him more stars I would

No call on the 10th. I called and they said I would definitely be seen today on May 10. They called me and wanted to postpone until the 13th. I canceled and scheduled with a different plumbing service

Daniel from ABACUS preformed my semi annual AC system inspection on two units today. Daniel was very knowledgeable, polite, mature, and efficient in carrying out his assignment. I appreciated the extra time he spent to explain what he was going to inspect and what system measurements he was taking. Because of my favorable impression of Daniel and Abacus' management/customer service I will continue to utilize ABACUS for my Plumbing and A/C needs.

We had a leak from our ceiling and light fixture and needed an after hours visit. Chris came out at 12:30am and he told me what needed to be done and showed me pictures. It was another company that installed our compressor that needs to fix it. Chris was able to fix it enough until the other company could get out. I highly recommend Abacus for your plumbing needs and I hope you get Chris.

90% of of my experience was Negative. The final 10% was saved by the Technician, Michael Huffman. Let me speak to the Negative 90%Called on a Monday afternoon as my son's power was out only in his room. the breaker would not reset. 5 months earlier the exactly issue was resolved by Abacus, so this was a warranty request. Initially the Abacus customer service said it would be 7 days for the earliest technician. After mentioning My son could not do his school work, she scheduled on after hours appointment (between 6pm-midnight) for Monday. same day. at 6pm I received a call telling me my appointment is on the list and the technician would call when 30 min out. Literally 30 min later, a technician called telling me Abacus would not be coming, because it does not qualify for after hours. When I asked when would the next available time, he said Tuesday after the 4 hour internal Abacus call, me mentioned he would call me at 11am. After waiting until 2:30pm, I called customer service. they have no clue of my appointment and only showed I had the Monday after hours service scheduled. When I mentioned if I did not call to verify, would I have been helped at all, they answer I am very sorry, no it would not have been. she then proceeded to schedule for Wednesday. This is where Michael Huffman saved the day. I hope this is a one off issue with Abacus.

Chester and his team installed a stand alone bathtub in the master bathroom. Water lines had to be moved to accommodate the site and installation. He is responsive and Abacus has followed up to ensure everything is okay.

Started our semi-annual HVAC service / tune up today, and Nik was incredibly professional and friendly. System isn't new by any means and is showing various signs of expected and unexpected wear and tear, so he walked us through the good news, bad news, options and recommendations.
