Best Home Maintenance in Jacksonville FL

Mike Schmuckle and Chris Schmuckle were punctual, knowledgeable, hard working, respectful and very personable - despite working in a Florida warehouse in July when temperatures are at their very highest. Our business only uses American Electrical Contracting and the quality of the work is always excellent.

Very professional and informative. Was able to get a quick appointment. Mike was able to find the problem and fix it quickly the day before Thanksgiving! I am truly thankful for them! They have maintenance programs for electrical, plumbing, and HVAC that are reasonably priced as well! I HIGHLY recommend them. Both my job and my husband’s job uses them too. You don’t see them everywhere for no reason! And I don’t usually write reviews but they are well deserved! Great service!

I was referred by a relative and the service from Appointment to Install was prompt and professional. Everyone from dispatch to electrician was friendly and the results of the installation of lighting fixtures looks amazing. The chandelier was a difficult install but it was handled with no problem whatsoever. The kitchen is a great improvement from the previous 4' basic ballast that originally came with the home. Thanks to all at American Electric. I will be calling again for any electrical needs for my home.

Found out the previous homeowners had some illegal wiring done, Doug Allen came out, took a look at the problem and was very open and transparent with the work needed, permits and cost. Doug is a great technician with great customer service! I will give you a call whenever I have any electrical issues pop up.

Was quoted $1600 dollars for a simple rewire and told by the representative that the city would require numerous insulated related Repairs.

A competitor came in the next day and was less than half the price.

The city approved the work no questions.

Spectrum Wireworks we highly recommend them for any electrical work you may need no matter how big or small. They did several upgrades to our house from simple tasks like changing outlets to partial rewire and complete panel switch out. Spectrum installed an interlock circuit and outlet for our generator and added a surge protector in the new panel. Our home was built in the 1920's so it needed a few more upgrades to bring everything up to current codes. Aaron and Nick were able to do everything we asked and were professional, super friendly, and a real pleasure to have working in our home. They cleaned up at the end of their day every day always leaving everything in better condition than they found it. We are also remodeling a bathroom and ran into some issues that needed electrical work and Spectrum Wireworks sent the team we had worked with previously out the same day so that we did not have to delay any of the work. We won't use any other electrical company.

They never returned my calls

It a pleasure to write this review for Nick Hatchett of Hatchett Electrical. As an architect I have been around construction for over 35 years. Finding sub-contractors who are skilled in their trade, take pride in their work and dependable is always a delight. Nick recently re-wired our dock and coordinated with our dock builder and boat lift installer for all the electrical and boat lift connections. Nick showed up when he said he would, did quality work at a fair price and followed up to coordinate items needing to be completed. I could not have asked for anything more. I look forward to using Hatchett Electrical on any future electrical work and will certainly recommend him on any future projects we design.

They never called me back

I had some A/C work done by HWV contractors ,and could not have been happier with their work. John was the technician they sent to my home. My A/C was not cooling properly . He quickly identified the issue.
I was cool very quickly after his repair. He was punctual, and very professional, and courteous .Thank you for such quick response and professional service. I would definitely use your service again!

This company is not professional and doesn't know how to get things done on a time frame .... waste of time and money spend it else where
