Aaron and his apprentice did a fantastic job at our home. They installed a new light fixture in the shower area of the bathroom, another can light and also installed a new track lighting in the living room. They were very professional and cleaned up after themselves. Everything went smoothly. Not to mention, they did same-day service which was excellent for our schedule. I would highly recommend Mr. Sparky!

So I’m not the savviest when it comes to electrical work, a surprise right? Well luckily for me there are companies out here like Mister Sparky that bring in the experts to help out. I called in because we had part of our house just not receiving power. The technician, Ron, knew where to check immediately for the problem and just like that found it. He even went as far to explain to me and show me what could’ve happened and why it was out. Let me tell you that to me is worth more than just fixing it and getting out because it helps me understand how to prevent it. I’m more than grateful for his professionalism and sense of humor. Called Mister Sparky of First Coast after calling other electricians. We needed a commercial job done for an urgent care. Tony came out on time was fair, honest and affordable and got the job done quickly before we opened. They were the only company that offered on site quotes for a reasonable fee. We have two locations in Jacksonville and will definately use them when we need electrical work done at either location. Highly recommend them.

Mr. Sparky sent a young man out to do a whole house rewire for me. His name is Cole. At 1st I was skeptical because I felt like he may have been lacking experience in certain areas but I soon found out that he was very knowledgeable and did the most fantastic job for me that I could imagine any electrician doing. He was responsive. He was respectful. He was very good about communicating which is very important to me and I'm sure it is to all customers. He is extremely mature for his age. Cole communicates more effectively than most people i know. He was able to problem solve on my project in a way that far exceeded my expectations. I walk away from this entire experience feeling datisfied that i received excellent work at s reasonable price. My project was a whole house rewire with panel replacement...a panel was added in the garage..... underground burial of high voltage line....completely removing all the old wiring and old boxes. The job was performed in a timely manner and he and his helpers did a wonderful job I would not hesitate to recommend Mr. Sparky.

The Tech provided expertise helping me identify and repair some electrical issues. The bill was very reasonable considering he came out on a Saturday. The Tech also provided quotes for other work for me and my neighbor. I will definitely call Mr. Sparky again for my future electrical needs.

They were polite, return my call in a timely manner and showed up when they said they would, especially because of the cold weather. We had power out in part of our house we just moved into. Technician came out, knew right where to check and found the problem. It was from not having enough power coming into the house, electric Co problem. Technician told me what to tell elec co when I call. Within an hour we had full power again. We weren't charged for the service call, but I would still would use them again because I wasn't taken advantage of. Can't remember the technician's name but he was professional and courteous, being a good representative for Mr Sparky. Thanks again

To start off, we chose Mr. Sparky because of the 1,500+ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ reviews. We had very bad experiences with electricians in the past, but had a good feeling about this one. Well we could not be happier (and relieved). Cole was terrific! I had seen his name is the majority of the reviews and had hoped he would be our electrician. Not only was he professional, but he was knowledgeable, thoughtful, and extremely engaging. He walked us through everything he did. We are very excited that the next time we call, Cole will be our assigned technician. The job was done quickly too and for a great price. The service was incredibly quick and efficient. Cole provided our repairs after a tree falling pulled all the wiring from our home. One call to the company and pictures submitted, we had an estimate. I had Aaron as tech today to replace a faulty circuit breaker and swap out an old outlet to a GFI code outlet. He was prompt here before the time expected, professional and knocked out the work in 20 minutes. The company is slightly pricey but I’m over all satisfied with my repairs.

Roberto, Randall, and Anne did the work at my home. They showed up on time, we’re very efficient, and did a great job at the agreed price. All three were very courteous and friendly.

Called to get a 240 v outlet installed inches away from the breaker box super easy job. And they drove to my house and quoted prices at 1400. This business is designed to scam people that don't know better. The job was worth 300-500 and I found a honest company that did it in this range. The job is so simple too, 4 wires on outlet and 4 wires in the box routing maybe a foot or two in distance.

Mr. Johnson is a down home nice guy. Him and his team is the most respectful young men I've had at my home working. I had a big job of upgrading my electrical panel and they had to move the electric meter to do the upgrade. They did the job in a professional and timely manner. The work was professional done.Just a note I must mention. The company had an employee to call out one day on the job due to illness. I want you to know that the boss of Mr. Johnson. I will preface, they may cost a little bit more than other electrical contractors. That being said, you pay for what you get. The service they provided to my home is fantastic. They came to my home to add a ceiling light and a box. They added the switches to that room and ran the cables to get it all to work. They made a small incision to the ceiling and covered it up at the end of the job so, it looks like the light just came with the house! Absolutely fantastic job. Quick and well done. I will be using their services in the future. Extra props to Brandon Hoeffer, my technician. Give that man a raise! He was the figurehead of your company an exuded a presence of professionalism and got the job done quick.

Outside meter needed to be removed to fix breaker which entailed a new permit. Issues with stove, a/c and tv outlet networking due to 220 not getting enough juice. Danny explained the issue and the solution w/ price to fix, sent me a photo for my owner ( I'm the manager) and will fix tomorrow am after permit pulled.

My house had the old cloth wiring throughout and needed replacing immediately. Jeff came out and checked all the outlets and light switches to give an estimate that was very reasonable. Other companies had come out and were going to charge twice the amount...without the warranties that were given by Mr Sparky. The work was done quickly and efficiently. It's obvious that Jeff takes great pride in his work. I was extremely happy with the outcome and would definitely recommend Jeff to anyone needing an electrician. On top of it all he is a really nice guy.

Great service! Didn't have time to compare prices but they charged me exactly what we'd agree upon when the job was finished and it seemed pretty fair for the amount of work they did.They were very professional, friendly, mindful of protecting the floors and walls (wore shoe covers every time they came inside) which must contractors don't do anymore and most importantly they were on time every single time. We were without power for 2 days. Mr. Sparky was working on it. All they did was show up, sit in their van on their phones and waited around for 2 days for JEA to come out and fix it. Maybe it wasn't their fault that they didn't have the equipment to fix the problem, but it sure didn't seem like they did anything to help it either. They might be great for small projects, but don't expect them to come through in the clutch.

Kevin was good but overall, Mister Sparky left a bad taste in my mouth...charging my credit card without prior knowledge and work not being completed. No receipts sent unless asked for..given false Information about how garbage disposal is hooked up, given attitude by previous Tech after I requested what was promised and leaving (disappeared) premises without reviewing work with me and after 4th time asking, I still don't have my circuit panel legend so I can safely turn off breakers.Update... after reviewing my concerns with office, they sent Corey and he was able to fixed all my concerns and address any out of spec issues.. I will not have any issues passing inspection. Thanks a million and I really do appreciate what you did for my new home..Sparky heard my concerns and did everything they could to make it right....

Omg they came out said yup look here you must have a break in your line gave me a quote to run new wire OVER 4000$ no joke. I said are you crazy. No way am I paying that.So today I get a second quote and guess what!!!!?!?? It’s not a broke line it’s the box to my pool pump is bad. I haven’t received the bill yet as he’s just now fixing it however he did say maybe 200$ BE VERY careful using this rip off company!

Mister Sparky gave me the best quote for upgrading my service from 150amps to 200amps, installing a new main panel, and also installing a 2nd Tesla Wall Charger outside my house. SUPER EXPENSIVE COMPANY! SAVE your money! I called this company letting them know my lights aren’t working and I got told to send a guy out is 60 dollars. Little did I know they charge 60 dollars just to have the guy drive down the block. And not even check anything. On top of the 60 dollars you pay a Diagnostic Fee of 300 dollars. Just for him to check for 1 minute that the light fixture was the problem.I asked how much would it be to install a new one,He said 100 bucks for the light mixture and he would charge 2.5% up charge because he has to drive to get the light fixture. So a total of 250$ just to get the light fixture install it ON TOP of the diagnostic fee and the drive to the house. He quoted me 900$ to have everything done today.900 dollars to fix a small light fixture!! I called another company and paid 100 bucks for the drive, the inspection, and the installation. This company was honesty just a shocking experience when it comes to price. I value their experience but 800 dollars for a light fixture change, absolutely never again. I still paid the 300 dollars for him to drive and tell me something was wrong and not even fix my issue.

Not the cheapest but they were prompt and sent someone out right away. When I call they always answer with a human. Ide recommend.

Frank was incredibly detailed, nice and articulate in explaining every detail! He walked the entire house, checked every single outlet looked in the attic and inspected every wire coming through the panel box! This homeowner was told all of her cloth wiring that been removed prior to her purchasing the home and now she is about to take on a large undertaking here with having to rewire her entire home. However, Frank made an incredibly large and stressful situation less stressful! He walked her through the entire process calmly and what they would do to make sure everything is done right! The turnaround time is incredible and we cannot thank Frank and Mister Sparky enough!!!

Beware. I hired this company to replace a new electrical box. They did not install the proper voltage for our AC unit. As a result, it causes tripping circuit breaker multiple times, damaging the system. We end up replacing AC unit that costs several thousand bucks.In addition, they did not wire electricity around the house correctly, it had to be redone. Not only that, they did not even Label the electrical box correctly.Will ever never use this company again! Beware!

Very professional,friendly, and efficient. I was told they would arrive the next day between 10am and 2pm. They sent a text at 10:03 and our technician was here at 10:10. I felt the price of the service call was reasonable. We chose not to do the repair at this time because the price of the part was very expensive (because of its availability right now). However, we will definitely call them again and highly recommend!

The first communication was with the office personnel, the lady was very professional, made an appointment for Mike to come out and look at the electrical issue I was having. Mike came out the very next day, he was extremely cortious, honest and professional. Mike checked all electrical outlets, light switches and electrical panel… he found the areas that needed repair and wrote up an estimate. Later that day, I was promptly informed that my warranty company was going to cover all the work that was submitted by Mr. Sparky and that was a huge relief for me, as the total amount was $1,900.00.At that time, an appointment was made for the very next day for the work to be carried out. Two young men came out the very next day and made all the repairs in less than 2 hours, they were very respectful, professional and detailed. I am highly satisfied with Mr. Sparky and all their employees, I higly recommend them!! Best electricians in all of North Florida!

Our technician, Cole, with Mr Sparky was very professional and knowledgable. He addressed my safety concerns for things that we knew were problems and found others that we didn't know about that were fire hazards. He also did an installation of under the cabinets lighting and discovered I still had aluminum wiring that needed replacing going to the stove. I was very happy with his service and attention to detail and understanding my concerns with the electrical safety in the home. I will be using them again in the future to do some other work we want to have done.

I hate writing bad reviews but the public must be informed. I find it very interesting that ? this company has 4.8/4.9 out of 5, I chose this company for an estimate for a Tesla Wall Connector. The wall connector is $430 taxes and shipping from Tesla.Electrican/Gentleman was on time, neat, cordial but his estimate was $2,600.00I called 3 other companies received a quote for $850, $925, and finally Parrot Electrical returned my call and said its $350 and $10 for every 10 feet after 20ft from the box. I did my research I spoke to neighbors in my community who own Teslas and they all stated they paid anywhere from $300 to $450 depending how far away from the electrical box. How is it that my estimate for a wall connector was $2600? Total rip off and dishonesty. I would steer clear from this company. If you do decide to use them make sure you get at least 3 estimates to compare. I didn't want to write this review and be that customer but your Electrician left a bad taste in my mouth. Outrageous to even present that estimate I felt so disrespected. The comapny has many vans, reputable customer reviews dont forget why you started this company. Go back to being honest business people. As if I am a fool. Treat the world and the people in it the same way you would want to be treated. Do better next time and just be honest.

I had a new 240v electrical outlet installed and it costed ~$1100 for 30 minutes of work! The tech used a 60 amps breaker for a 50 amps circuit! Tech also tried to use scare tactics and upsell $500 surge protection for the breaker panel. This company will give you a ridiculously expensive quote and charge you $59 if you don't hire them for the job.Edit: called the company about the breaker issue and they came back to fix it the next day. Still would recommend getting quotes from other companies

Very pleased with my service from Mr. Sparky. Perhaps I was lucky, but they were able to schedule a technician for the next day, which was great given how busy contractors are these days. They installed a new Tesla wall charger, diagnosed and repaired a faulty circuit, replaced four receptacles and deleted some exterior devices. The whole process from scheduling to paying the invoice was as easy as it could get. The technician was on time, clean, conscientious, competent and fully prepared. I did sent an email with detailed pictures and descriptions of the problems to the person that scheduled my repair, which ended up being very helpful for them to bring what they needed and minimize the need for a run to the supply house. They technician said they keep try to keep commonly stocked items on their trucks, but obviously they can only stock so much. Anyway, I highly recommend Mr. Sparky for your electrical service needs.

The office was also great because they called to let me know they had taken my phone # down wrong and that was why tech had not called when on his way. They let me know he was almost there. Service, I give five stars, technician was punctual and very professional, but price was more than what I was expected. $333 for reconnecting a outside outlet, took the technician about ten minutes, if that, to complete the work. They did give me option to go ahead with work or I could declined the service after the quote, since I did not research any other companies and did not want to wait any longer, I agree to go ahead with the service. Someone installing security in my home drilled directly into our main line. Service was to repair ground wire that was accidentally cut. So I've had this company quote for work twice.1. The first time was to run CAT5 for internet. Price was high, but the workers were professional and knowledgeable. Ultimately we did not use them.2. The second time, the tech (Tony) said we need a complete panel change for $2-3k. The quote was NOT for a panel change. He said that the panel was old and they ...won't work on old panels. So granted, the panel IS old, I admit that. I questioned whether there was an electrical code mandated the panel be changed (it's in good condition, nothing wrong with it). They never got back to me.Seemed pretty scammy to upsell a complete panel change. I would guess that 80% of houses in the area have old panels. I've even lived in houses with fuse boxes before.3 other electricians quoted for the actual job and we chose a competitor. As a note, none of the other electricians had a problem with the old panel. We got the job done for $350 and saved ~$1500 by not believing them.I gave them 2 stars versus 1 because they ARE professional and courteous. I'm sure they're good electricians (and definitely good businessman). Just know you're paying more for this and be okay paying extra. Some may feel it's worth it to pay more and want brand new things (that aren't strictly needed).

Mister Sparky quoted us $325 to change a light switch. Our technician took less than 5 mins to make the change and didn’t even bother turning off the electricity. The going rate per the internet is $150 tops. What a rip off!! We are so angry and making sure to tell all our friends to avoid Mister Sparky. If I were you, I would look for a smaller company that is more fair and transparent about prices.

Wayne did a fantastic job installing a chandelier in my kitchen. I also hired him to replace the light kit in my bedroom fan. I had been told by another electrician that the light kit was broken beyond repair, but Wayne offered to fix it and indeed he did. Saved me $50 after I returned the replacement light kit. I called for an issue and they were able to send me a technician within an hour and the problem was resolved within 45 minutes with a very reasonable price. My technician was friendly and professional and knowledgeable and did great work*Update 9/20 I have used them twice since this original review and been very pleased with the timeliness and quality of the service. This last visit I had a scheduled appointment the technician came out within the timeframe and I was to have 4 pre-purchased hardwired smoke detectors installed in a 1200 sq ft home and the technician quoted me over $2000. $400 per unit and labor fee. This technician also seemed somewhat bewildered and wasn’t entirely comfortable or knowledgeable about the questions I was asking and also was saying that he might need to install smoke detectors right in the center of my wall. I paid the service and declined the service.

I had a complete rewrite of my home completed. Mr. Sparky’s team removed all the old, hazardous cloth wire and replaced it with modern safe wiring through my entire home in three days. The holes in the plaster walls were minimum and only took a couple of hours to patch up afterwards. A rewire of my home seemed like it was going to be lengthy, painful, and expensive however it was anything but that. Me. Sparky offers financing on repairs which made this large job doable for my budget. I cannot recommend this company enough and they now have a loyal customer. Mike and his team were punctual, polite, and exceeded my expectations.

I needed an outlet over my fireplace. The job was a little more difficult than usual, because of how the fireplace is placed (in the corner). Frank Bowman and Tia came to my home and were quite professional. Initially, I had another company come to my home to give me an estimate; but they gave me some outlandish process they said that they would have to do to accomplish what I requested. I don't think that they wanted to do the job. However, Frank and Tia got things done professionally and timely and they cleaned up after. Changing my review from 5 stars to 1. On December 21, 2020, I had them out to inspect my range that made a bang when I turned it on. They were responsive and came right out. The tech informed us that the range had died and we would need a replacement. Before leaving he disconnected and removed the range from the kitchen and told us to call them to install itFast forward to March 15, 2021, after 3 months with a hot plate, the new range has been delivered. We call Mr. Sparky to come and install it. They get out quick, but note that the dispatchers cannot give you quote information. After getting a hard time from the tech about not installing appliances (ie taking it out of the box and dropping it in the hole in the countertop) I get quoted ~$200 for the install, and $400 to hook it up. Keep in mind, it is essentially the same task (in reverse) that I paid $196 three months earlier. The entire process took 30 minutes tops, total cost was $520 after the tech discounted the price because it was “easier than expected.”I have tried for the past two days to speak with the company about the pricing, and get someone to explain to my how the same procedure could cost three times more, but I am getting no where. I have called twice, speaking with two different people, both of whom took my information with a promise to call back, and nothing for two days.I used Mr. Spark multiple times in my two years at my current address, but they clearly have no interest in maintaining customer relationships and their pricing is both opaque and illogical.

Travis and Tim arrived early and got right to work. The service call was orchestrated between my wonderful landlady and their office. They did a great job and more than cleaned up after themselves. They replaced an aging sub panel in the garage and got electric to two outlets that have not worked since I lived here. Mister Sparky came out to look at putting in a transfer switch, turns out I didn’t even need one. There was already wiring for a generator hookup. So it’s very comforting getting upgrades that meet code and satisfy insurance requirements. We will sleep better tonight knowing there is less to worry about, and as far as the customer service that was provided, I would say this was six sigma level service. The technical team insisted everything was done in a very professional manner without shortcuts! It was a pleasure watching them work. They were polite and understanding as well.

Looking for professionals these days who know what they're doing, show up on time (or at all), and are polite is quite difficult. Wayne and Ryan at Mr. Sparky, however, seem to be an exception though. I had quite a few items around the house that needed troubleshooting and then to be fixed. They got everything done and then a few more items we found along the way. I would recommend them to anyone looking for an electrician.

We had a broken weatherhead due to Elsa and her tornado spawn. We spent so much time being told by other electricians they had no time. I called Mister Sparky and Donna was an absolute gem! She scheduled us for Monday but told me she'd squeeze us in today (Friday) if she could. She did. Ultimately, we had another electrician that managed to JUST beat her to the punch. I will definitely call Mister Sparky if I need any other electrical work done. Any company that goes that far out of the way to help a customer, when you KNOW they have plenty of work from a storm, is one I keep on speed dial and tell everyone about. The electrician was FANTASTIC! Great service, friendly, explained things, worked quickly- couldn't ask for better. However, I can only give a one star review because their office is THE WORST. The work was completed on 2/22/19, and I paid on that date. I called twice over the next month, trying to get a copy of the invoice and to get information on getting a city inspection (required). Phone calls went nowhere, I would get told by the office person that she'd, take care of it right away! and then nothing. Finally on Apr. 3rd I resorted to filling out their online form, asking for an invoice and letting them know that I was not happy I'd had such a hard time getting all of this taken care of. I got an email the next day with the invoice... and absolutely nothing about the city inspection. I emailed back later in the month... crickets.Then yesterday I got a notice that I had a letter from them at the post office that I would have to sign for. I signed for it and went out to my car to read it and my head about blew off!!! This Brittany chick claims she spoke to me 3 times- in March, April, and May- and that I wouldn't let them have access to the house for an inspection, so now they were turning the matter over to the city.This is a complete fabrication. The ONLY time I spoke to her was when I was trying to get a copy of my invoice and trying to get the inspection set up, and the only thing I got was that she'd take care of it right away. So now I have this legal paper with complete lies on it, making me look like I was the neglectful person. Needless to say, I tried to call them right away to get it straightened out, but even though it was before 5 pm no one answered the phone, and instead of going to voicemail the phone just cut off.Bottom line, I hope the techs find a better company because they don't deserve to get a bad reputation because the office doesn't do their job.

Specifically, add an electrical outlet to the ceiling of our back porch and connect it to the nearby light switch (so we could hang cafe/string lights). I also hired them to add some lighting under our upper kitchen cabinets.I really liked that this company sends text messages to let you know when the technicians are on their way. They also send a picture of the technician that's coming to your home - always an added bonus to know who's coming.Damon was very polite, kind, and professional. Called because the electric meter box outside was falling off the wall. An electrician named Damon was sent out by Mr. Sparky to assess it but it was a tricky fix since the bracket that held it up was sheered off and the box blocked access to it. Damon did some research and with help of an assistant was able to remount the box without interrupting power to the house. He also was able to complete it for less than what was originally quoted which was greatly appreciated. Awesome service and fast response from both the company and Damon. Also helped that Damon was a very nice person and made dealing with him and understanding what needed to be done much easier.

By far and away the best electricians I have ever worked with. Travis, Brad, and Chad could not have been more knowledgeable and professional. It was nearly a three day job to install a new circuit board, replace all of the plugs and switches in the house, and install LED lighting in the kitchen and porch. They arrived on time, their work was flawless, and they cleaned thoroughly after they were done. Beside all that they are really good people and a pleasure to have around. I called at 530pm on Wed and they were here by 9am Thursday. The technician Brandon H. was professional, courteous and friendly. In under an hour my ac disconnect box was changed and I was back in the comfort of my ac.I had called another companyLimbaugh Electrical , the Scumbags tried to charge me an additional $149 stating I needed a permit to do the work. The county and Mister Sparky confirmed that was a lie.Highly recommend Mister Sparky honest and reasonably priced.

Had them install a light fixture around Nov/Dec of 19’. No show for first two appointments so they gave me 10% discount when they showed for the third one.Electrician had to cut a hole in drywall and run a wire to the nearest switch, to install a dining room light. He did a good job.The three stars is because the cost to install one light fixture which took a total of about 1-1.5 hrs cost a WHOPPING $1,000. I kid you not. Luckily they didn’t show the first two times so I had the 10% discount and the total came to around $900.

I have 3 big dogs and a pretty packed garage and he worked around it and was able to diagnose my electrical issues in a timely and not very expensive manner. We thoroughly appreciated the work that technician Travis Natterer provided. He was very informative while explaining the process and was extremely thorough. The only issues we had with this company were mostly with customer service and are as follows:After we were approved for financing, we were having issues getting permitting and inspection (Clay County)- when we were initially informed of this they were very nice and apologetic. We continued having issues (were without power) for 3 days and when we called the last two times, we felt as though the customer service had declined because they had completed the work and collected the money- we felt they were not as interested in assisting us and made us feel as if we were a nuisance.Secondly, when we applied for financing, we did so by filling out half of the application on paper and the other half over the phone. When we received the card and financing information from Synchrony Bank, my name was spelled incorrectly (Kasandra) which I felt was a careless mistake on the part of the employee who took our information over the phone.All in all, we have our power back, the actual service of the technician was phenomenal- however- the customer service could use a little work.

I meant to review this a while back (about a month or two ago), but this company is great. The first time we had them out, I placed a call at 6:30am, because our breaker box caught on fire. One of the office girls (can't remember her name, sorry) called me back 15min later. They were at my house first thing in the morning, Nick was the technician, he was wonderful. He worked his butt off to get us up and running again with electricity, polite, down to earth, answered all of questions and (the best part) cleaned up after himself ;). We had them out again for a rewiring for our ac unit. Nick was our technician again and again exceeded our expectations. I would rate with 5 stars again if Google review would let me. I would highly recommend them. Nick and Mr sparky are our go to for all our electrical work.

Karen in the office was my initial contact and very responsive to my questions and concerns (and sympathetic). After some back and forth on how Jacksonville's government works (or really doesn't) she sent Matt out to take a look at the house and the electric and devised a plan to help me out, quoted me a very reasonable price on the spot and schedule of work to be completed. After 48 hours the job was completed.I highly recommend this crew. In my situation they came through for me and I plan on using them again in the future should the need arise.

We recently purchased our house and the 3-way light switches for the whole house were incorrectly installed by the previous owners. We requested an electrician through HomeAdvisor, and they were the first to respond our request for service. Mister Sparky charges $59 to come to your location and give a quote, but they waive this charge if you have them do the job same day. The initial quote was for almost $2000 to diagnose the light switches. Apparently, they charge $134 each light switch to unscrew the light switch plate to diagnose the problem and this doesn't include parts or actually fixing it. The whole house was wired the same way, so personally, I feel like this is an abuse of charging their customer (the diagnosis was the same for each switch). We ended up only having Mister Sparky fix the master bedroom light and fan for $249 after a $25 online coupon. True, they were nice, on time, and professional, but we found another electrician to do the rest of the house (diagnose and install nine 3-way light switches and one outdoor outlet) for $180, and he was just as nice, timely, and professional. Budget wise, I wish I had contacted the other electrician sooner. If you can afford to pay more then these guys were great.

Needed same-day help to move an electrical outlet before installation of a piece of furniture. They were able to fit me in and get the job done. Brandon was excellent in communicating with me and doing the necessary work. Would definitely use them again.

Lost power to kitchen and after doing what little I knew how, I started calling electricians. First company didn't have openings till September. Mr. Sparky had a technician at my house in an hour. Very professional guy, even with a 4 year old girl asking him constantly what he was doing. He did an inspection quickly and quickly determined the problem was caused by the roofers who were currently working on my house. So even though I didn't use them for the repair, I will be sure to use them again and recommend them to anyone.

They charge by the job not by the hour, but the price quote is not free. They charged me $59 to come out and quote me over $600 to replace four simple ceiling lights in the kitchen with existing wiring. No attic work, no special mounting work. Should have been less than an hour's work and they quoted over $600.I should also mention the guy spent 20 minutes trying to sell me his fixtures when I already had mine in the house ready to install.I should also mention I called the office and courteously informed them that their quote was out of line. They promised me a callback from a manager - which never occurred.I'm sorry I paid the $59.Update 5/23/2017:After posting the above review, Mister Sparky contacted me and offered to refund the $59, which they did. They also asked me to take down the negative review. I said I would modify it. I have removed the negative language but I will leave the facts.Today a different electrical company came to the house and installed the lights as requested for a $30 truck fee and $75 for one hour's labor.The price Mister Sparky quoted me was not competitive and they did not get the job. That's how the free market works.

We had brandon come out to check on an outlet issue that we had. He was so nice and professional. We needed to find a grounded outlet and were told we didn’t have one but within 30 seconds of him being here, he found one. I highly recommend mr. Sparky and brandon with them.

I called Mister Sparky for an emergency visit over the weekend when my AC wasn't working. The technician, Travis, was very personable, knowledgeable and informative. He was able to fix my problem in an hour. The emergency fee was $99, and 274 to diagnose the problem. I wish I had known more, to fix what the issue ended up being on my own, but it's better to be safe.I recommend them for your electrical needs and Travis was great!

Technician (won't say name) came out and quoted $4661.00 to trouble shoot the living room outlets ($638 - does not include the repairs/fix), replace the 50amp stove outlet ($1299.00) and based on his opinion, the panel box ($2724.00) that has already been inspected and cleared and is only because of the brand, not the wiring or anything else in it.I was quoted less to rewire the ENTIRE house including a brand new panel and everything for less than this quote to fix the two items I called them to do. And he refused to do the work on anything else unless I agreed to the panel box.After all the positive reviews, I am extremely disappointed in what appears to be a attempted opportunity to prey on someone.Edit: I spoke to Donna this morning, who is absolutely wonderful, regarding the above matter and she hadn't understood that I was not looking for anything to be done with the panel and it should not have been included much less added as a requirement. We also spoke regarding the other matters and while I will not be using them as I have an extensive amount of work to be done in a few months and do not wish to pay their prices for two small things, I do feel comfortable knowing she is there and doing her best to keep everyone on track and their clients happy. I am sorry in this case it did not work out as expected but wish them all the best.

I had a quote done last week. The electrician was sweet, but the quote was confusing. It was nice to have the different breakdowns, but beware! They highlight the ‘savings’ number and make the actual total difficult to see. I signed and booked based on what I thought was the total but later came to find out it was the ‘savings’. Savings compared to what?? They want to charge $1800 to put in four ceiling lights which I’m supplying and a pendant light. The quote we picked ended up being over $2000 but what was highlighted was $375 roughly (can’t remember the exact mount). I asked the office to send me a copy of the quote and I got quotes which were not for the job we were having done. They charged my husband over $600 after I sent an email to have the quote updated, but never got the update. I have now cancelled our appointment and requested a refund. The agent on the phone said that it was not a problem and that they would issue a refund and send me an email confirming this. I’m still waiting for that email...This is the only electrical company I know of that charges upfront and what was charged is more than 40% of the proposed bill!

Originally, I had given them a 1 star review because they didn't show up for an appointment. However, I was contacted by a manager who apologized and explained it wasn't avoidable and she said she'd handle the problem personally. She sent Nicholas over early Saturday morning and he did a great job with the new installation and problems I had with some of the switches. She apologized, I apologized and I'd use them again.

Damon and Logan were very professional and Damon went above and beyond by running a TV coax cable for me when the tv guy wouldn’t. Also, if they didn’t have the part they needed in the truck, they went to the nearest hardware store and picked it up. They also helped put up a TV wall bracket and hang my TV. None of this was extra, job quoted at a price and I paid that price only. Highly recommend!

Giving them a 4 because original inspection failed in 2018 and follow up was not done.However, in 2021, while our plumber tried to get an inspection, it was discovered. Another electrical inspection was ordered for the next day by Mister Sparky. It failed, but someone arrived to correct it within the hour. It passed.Grateful for their making it right that very day!

I checked on the internet, and the part he replaced would cost me $20 at Home Depot!We gave him the check and he left. Once we 'recovered' and started having second thoughts, my wife called and spoke to Donna and I called our bank and stopped payment on the check. Donna promised to get back to us on Monday (office Xmas party this afternoon). I am composing a message to Home Advisors. We are looking forward to Donna's call.

We had a difficult problem with an old circuit that would not consistently malfunction. Mr. Sparky was able to recognize two separate problems on the same circuit and fix them. The average person would have had a hard time troubleshooting this situation. They saw it as a challenge and went after it. They are good at follow up, great office staff, good listeners, explain the problem in commonsense language, professional, and care about your property as they are working. Courteous, professional, informative, but very expensive and more concerned with up-selling than fixing the problem.My dryer was incorrectly wired (not grounded and loose power cables), and burnt the outlet. Mr Sparky fixed the outlet and replaced all circuit breakers (unnecessary) for $1500. They then tried to sell installation of new smoke detectors and GCFI outlets for $800 more. Completely unrelated to the original problem, I declined.I ran the dryer once and it tripped the circuit breaker. I called another, more affordable electrician who did a simple inspection of the wiring and found the root of the problem within 2 minutes. Honestly it’s probably better Mr Sparky didn’t find this because they would have tried to charge another $1000 for it.Would recommend if there is no other option, but there are more honest electricians out there who will fix your problem and not try to rip you off.

Took it upon my self to try and change a wall outlet in my room and blew my room and another bedroom in my house. Damon was my electrician and was very professional and knowledgeable about what the problem was and took care of it in less then 30 minutes. He also went out of his way to check the wiring in my main fuse box to see if it was ok, he saw a couple of things that was not in the right place and fixed the whole problem for me.

My wife works for JetBlue and was recently transferred from Maine to Jax. The home we rented had no washer dryer hook up so I needed an electrician for a dryer outlet. I read the reviews and decided on Mister Sparky which turned out to be the right choice. Not knowing anyone in Jacksonville to get advice from my only choice was the internet. Mike showed up at the time specified and did a great job. Nice neat work, extremely courteous and finished the job in no time. I would highly recommend Mike if you need any residential wiring at all. He also gave me a refrigerator magnet with a $25 off coupon on his next visit.

Went a year and a half without a light in that pantry because I just didn't kniw whom to call. Saw an ad on TV for Mister Sparky this past weekend while in the Tampa area. Called them as soon as we got home. They got the job done and I'll contact them when ready for more electrical projects! Great to finally know an electrician I can trust and depend on. This was a great Christmas gift to myself. :-)

We have a small number of apartments that we rent in Jacksonville. One of the things we do to try and keep good tenants is to try and respond quickly to complaints. When one of our tenants called to say that the main breaker at the electrical meter wouldn’t hold we knew we needed to act quickly. Living without power in August is not something we want one of our tenants to experience. We confirmed that the breaker was the likely problem and started calling electricians to get it replaced. We called company A and they couldn’t schedule us for 2 days, we called Mr. Sparkey and they put us on the schedule for that afternoon. The technician showed up ahead of schedule so it seemed like this problem was going to get sorted out easily. I left him to do his work. He called me later that day and said that the main breaker was no longer made and that he was going to have to replace the entire meter base. He said the job would cost $6000. He said the reason it was so expensive was that a lot of parts were needed because the manufacturer had flip flopped how the meter bases were being made. On the existing unit, power from the utility came in on the left and the breakers were on the right. On the new units, power came in on the right and the breakers were on the left, so a lot of work would be need. To put this in context your normal single meter base costs about $125. My apartment building required a two bank meter base so it was going to cost more, but $6000?????? So I called the office and asked to speak to someone about the job. I wound up speaking to Donna who said she was the GM. We talked about the job a little bit and she asked me for time so she could investigate what was going on. While we were having this conversation I emailed her a link to a 2 gang meter base made by Siemens that appeared to be configured correctly for our building. The price on amazon was $350. Donna said she would look at it and get back to me by noon the next day. At 11:58 the next day Donna hadn’t called me so I called her. She asked me if I had pictures of our meter base. I did not. She said she would send one of her guys out to look again. At about 10am on day 3 I called Donna again but ended up speaking to another one of their technicians. He quoted me a price of $3500 which seemed $500-$1000 high, but I didn’t want the breaker in our apartment to die and leave our tenants without power, so I approved the bid and mr. sparkey scheduled it. They got the job done quickly and in a workmen like fashion. When I went to inspect it I found that they used a Siemens meter base that was flip flopped from the original instead of the one I found for them that would have fit our job. As near as I can tell these meter bases are functionally equivalent. The one they chose to use just took a lot more time and parts to make it work. Before paying them we ask for a detailed invoice to see parts vs labor. They declined to provide one. In summary, Mr. Sparkey showed up on time , did decent work and did it at the agreed upon price. On the bad side, they didn’t disclose the actual details of their quote at any time, and appear to be charging extraordinary prices based on what they think they can get the customer to pay. If I were in a jam and they were the ONLY ones who could come fix the problem I would call them again, otherwise I would definitely look elsewhere.

And, when problems arose with an older home, Michael explained possible solutions and helped us choose the best alternative. Finally, being able to cost work per specific project, rather than per hour, definitely worked to our advantage, especially given that it was an older home.Pictured below is 1 of the 3 rooms in which Michael installed crown molding rope light controlled by a dimmer switch on the wall. They charged roughly $140 to install a light switch. Pricey, but got the job done quickly.

My name is James Tidwell. On 7/20/18, JEA was putting in a new meter in the pedestal at my house and broke the meter jaws (bar) in half. Thus, this caused me to have no electricity. Due to the extreme heat I was anxious to get the problem resolved as quickly as possible. I called Mister Sparky and the lady in the office told me they would have an electrician at my house the next day, 7/21/18, between 1:30 and 2:00. Mike Natschke, the electrician, came out and was there ahead of the scheduled appointment time. He was there before 1:30. Mr. Natschke was very knowledgable in fixing the problem. Not only was he professional but he was also very personable and respectful. He made sure we wouldn't have to spend one more night without electricity. I am very pleased with his work and professionalism. I would recommend Mister Sparky to anyone who is need of electrical work that needs to be done. I appreciate so much the quick response.

Had a tech come out a couple weeks ago to fix a bad GFI outlet in my kitchen. Long story short, the repair failed last night so I pulled the outlet myself and the wiring job behind it was so bad (wires touching) I will have to rewire the outlet myself. On top of this the techs left my cabinets dirty with finger prints. Will not be using them again. Overpriced for repair work worse than an unlicensed handyman.

Tonight we had an electrical issue that knocked out the pump that runs out water. Waterless during a pandemic with two small children, no thank you. They sent out a tech, after hours, within 20 minutes, and Damon completed our repair in less than 30 minutes. I cannot thank Damon or the dispatcher who got him to us enough for their help during what is already one of the most hectic times of our life. Thank you guys so so much!

The service was done fast, but when I called I was quoted 59.99 for the electrician to come and look at it. I had a outlet that needed to be replaced and the total cost for him to look and replace the outlet came to $333.00 which to me was a little pricy. Will research more next time when needing an electrician.

Very unhappy, I feel that I was cheated. Called the office to set an appointment to replace a GFIC. Appointment time was set for between 1and 5pm. Received call at 1130, 12 minutes away. $59 trip fee and was advised this would go toward the service. FIRST he quoted $200 to replace the easily accessible GFIC. I said this was to high as I have had other electricians charge between 100 and 125. He starts to walk out then says ok, I will do it for $137. He then removes the old GFIC, installed the new , after hitting the wires causing it to arc. He then says, you have no power to these lines. Then he wants an additional $333 to find the problem. He then FOUND a broken wire at the GFIC connection. Final price for replacement of one GFIC $274. I will tell everyone I come in contact with looking for electric to not call Mr. SPARKEY. RIP OFF!!!!!!

I had a little outbreak during a storm and called to find if it's a normal situation but I spoke with a Brandon and he was really rude and blaimed the fact that changing an outlet can cause the whole light in the house to go off during a storm only. Excellent work. Great attitude. The guy who came and gave the quote (Billy Lovelace) also does work on the job--unusual. But that means he really knows what he is quoting. Not the cheapest, but they do solid work and leave the place like they found it. I had a number of annoying smallish jobs, but they treated each one as important. I will absolutely hire them again.

The reason for the one star rating is twofold. The electrician they sent was one his first day of employment. He was an experienced electrician, but it was his first day at Mr. Sparky. He diagnosed the problem we were having, and asked if I wanted it fixed. It was a dangerous problem, so I opted to have it fixed. I asked if it would be expensive, and he replied no. An hour and a half later, he presented the fee breakdown. It totaled $650! He apologized, and said he did not realize it would be so expensive; it was his first time consulting Mr. Sparky's fee page. This first part can be chalked up to the inexperience of the tech.Mr. Sparky as a company is receiving one star because when I called to discuss the situation, they apologized and promised to reimburse me $150 via a mailed check. Two weeks go by, no check. I called again and they promise to mail another, but lo and behold, I still have not received the check.I feel burned. But I guess it's better than having my house catch on fire.

I had 9:00am appointment on Thursday and nobody showed up. I called the company and was told the electrician had an emergency. I scheduled for the next day at 9:00am and and again, nobody showed up. I called the company again and they tried to give me some BS excuse about it. I cancelled and called another company.

We called their office at 1:20 and they had Chad at our house by 2 PM. Speedy service and very reasonable prices. We would recommend Chad and Mister Sparky any day!

Sven installed a 14-50 outlet for me in my garage. He was quick and the work was good. Glad that I went with Mr. Sparky.

Brandon came out to give estimate on a meter can jaw replacement that was directed by JEA however the meter can jaws, due to age and the fact that it is currently on a diuble meter pedestal as found in a trailer park, are obsolete and may need a new meter can installed on the house. Said that this would cost upwards of $9,000 due to having to bore under the street, sidewalk and driveway to run new cable from the transformer, underground to the house.

The electrician cracked the globe on my daughter's fan. He also was not helpful at all with the fire alarm. He just said it was the battery. Meanwhile, the battery is a 10-year lithium ion that is only 2 years old and the battery cannot be changed out. Really disappointed in our experience with Mr. Sparky this go round.

Quick to respond. Came the very next day. Unfortunately the quote was a bit too much for my taste but at least they were responsive and professional, can’t really blame them.
