Called these guys to change a GFI on the outside of the house. Over the phone they told me that it should take less than one hour to change it, but they charge minimum of one hour to come out. I thought that sounded fair. Once the electrician got to my house, though, he took 2.5 hours to change ONE single GFI switch and handed me a bill for about $400. When I questioned him he became defensive and rude. I cannot believe that it can take a certified electrician this long to change one switch. Either this guy had no idea what he was doing or this company is scamming the public. I think all these wonderful reviews they have listed must be from their family members, because if this is the level of ethics that this company displays, I cant imagine how anyone can recommend them in all honesty. BEWARE!!!

Had two 240v circuits installed after my appointment with Mr. Electric was postponed. I am very glad I called TD Stevens who provided a very competitive price with high quality work. I will continue to use them for all of my future electrical needs.

Honest and reasonable!

I recently purchase an older home and started experiencing electrical issues (lights flickering, incorrect voltage readings at outlets). Oscar and his team responded quickly and knew exactly what the problem was. A neighbor was having some work done and they hit my underground power line.Oscar's team started work immediately replacing/upgrading the line and replaced/upgraded my main breaker box as well, which I was planning to have done anyway. These are some honest, hard working guys! They worked non-stop (except for a short lunch break) and had me up and running in no time.I was so impressed I had them do additional work. Re-wired garage, added GFI outlets, replaced outdoor lights, added attic lights and also installed a complete house surge protector.I highly recommend these guys and will use them again if needed. This guy is a jerk. While driving home this truck is tailgating me. I pulled over to let him pass. I honked at him to let him how rude he was being. He pulls next to me and tells me I'm driving to slow. I was going the legal speed limit. Begins pounding on the side of his truck. To show me how the name of the company he supposed to own. Totally unprofessional behavior. I will never do business with you or your company. My advice is to stay away from person.

I work in commercial/retail property management and my company has used CPL for all of our electrical needs over the last year, since we were first referred by a mutual business partner.From the very first job, we were truly impressed by the communication, professionalism, quality of work and value. Anyone who has worked with any of the skilled trades knows that finding a company that has ALL of these qualities truly is a needle in the haystack. CPL has completed jobs for us as simple as changing out one light fixture style to another to running new wiring tens of feet and have even done a few investigative fixes for us on some things that I certainly can't explain the minutiae of (but Chris, the operations manager can), I just know they got fixed...like the giant sign on the front of our building that sadly sat unlit for months and now glows beautifully!The bottom line is, you're going to get quality work at an honest price and you won't be in the dark about anything (no pun intended). Chris is very transparent and communicative about the whole process and while it may or may not sway your motivation to work with CPL, I don't think it should go without noting that he is a notably kind person to work with.

A lifetime client was made. I can’t explain how amazing the customer service was in my experience. I contacted on a Friday night at 6pm to let them know a portion of my house had no power. They literally were on their way home for the weekend and turned around to come help me and my family. This right there should show you how amazing of a company this is. They fixed my issue and were very professional. It just impressed me that they dropped everything and made me feel like the #1 customer. Highly recommended!!!

This was the most horrible electrician I've ever called. Mr. Sparky has been bought out and new owner. The electrician they sent out was fiddling with my electrical outlets and now been burdened with an enormous repair with another company. He did NOT know what he was doing. He was all over the map on his quote and kept back peddling when asked with a question. The quotes came back all over the map and was $$$ exhorbitant for what was needed. Not only have I now been saddled with enormous damage from the electrician at my home but I called the owner back, asked for the owner. He never called me back, sent his wife to call me. She laughed at me on the phone, refused to return my $89 service call and said they pride themselves on making money 100-200/week calls of $89. They are looking at volume and not integrity. The old Mr. Sparky reputation is gone. Mr. Sparky is no longer the owner. I would never recommend this company. Horrible! Customer beware!

They do a poor job and don't stand by the integrity of their work. I bought my home brand new, they did the wiring, and it had numerous electrical issues. I have a ceiling fixture in my kitchen that I never wired. I decided to install a pendant light and upon inspection, I realized there was no power coming from the wires. I have never touched any of this since moving into my brand new house. Texas Electrical Residential Contractors would charge $140 just to inspect what they originally improperly installed. If you want a cheap, unreliable, and unsupported home electrical system, go to Texas Electrical Residential Contractors. Otherwise, find someone with integrity who can do the job right the first time.
