We are from a small town, and we know it when we feel it. We simply found this company online and decided to give them a call. Our electrical panel was nearly on fire and it needed to be replaced immediately. They arrived as scheduled and James, the technician, was patient in explaining the options and costs. His patience and knowledge actually made us decide to work with the company. No frills, no hard sell, just facts. Generous financing options helped a lot as well. Let me start off by saying how pleased I am with West Houston Electric. Called the morning after the issue was discovered, a friendly receptionist answered my call almost right away and was able to get me an appointment the same day (within a couple hours actually.) Joseph P. was my technician. He arrived on time and was super friendly and courteous. He answered all my questions with no hesitation whatsoever. As he dived into my very unique situation, he troubleshooted and was able to get to the route cause of my issue! A little while later, Joseph fully resolved my power issue! The service is excellent. This is a really friendly business. Our electrician(Joseph) was knowledgeable and walked me through the issue and repair. He installed new light fixtures outside our front door that burned out. They guarantee their work. I really like the notification on when the electrician is on the way and how far away they are. I had an electrical service repair job performed last week. Theo was my technician. He provided great customer support from beginning to end. He really informed me about my problem. His information was accurate, clear, and detailed enough for me to make an informed decision quickly on a tight budget. He was friendly, patient, and helpful. When the breaker to my heat popped in the breaker panel, I knew that I had to most likely replace the entire breaker panel, as it was out dated and I have had problems in the past with a particular breaker. I procrastinated, as I knew it would be rather costly. I randomly googled Electrical company and chose West Houston Electric, as it is close my location. I was impressed that I was able to receive an immediate appointment. Theo Nikolla was my service technician and I immediately felt comfortable with him. Theo was very professional and knowledgeable.Once I agreed on the quote, he immediately started with the procedure of replacing the breaker panel. Theo was very thorough and also respected my home. He went above and beyond on pointing out a few more issues and items that needed to be addressed. I felt that Theo really took pride in his craft. ( which is rare these days) I am so happy that I made the call to West Houston Electric.

Drew was excellent. He first fixed a 220 outlet so my range would work then came back to replace the whole breaker box. The work was done very well, new wiring is very neat and the panel is clearly labeled. After everything being brought up to code I now feel safe in my home knowing my wiring is done well.

Brian was very helpful. He is very knowledgeable and provided great customer service. He installed a chandelier and fixed several outlets and reviewed other electrical issues we had. I also felt comfortable as he spoke spanish to us which helped understand the electrical issues better.

Theo provided some very helpful advice regarding our light placements and wiring/switch placement options. Results were much improved over what I was originally planning. He did a very good and efficient job with the final installation. We are very happy with the results!

Absolutely fantastic service. Our underground wire got cut during a fence repair and they were able to get it replaced in no time. They were also able to document and verify the cause of damage which was very helpful. Will definitely use them for any future repairs.

Had a chandelier I could not install myself, but Brian from West Houston electric came in and got it all set up. He was very professional and kind. The work was outstanding and he always asked for our input with regards to the look and length. Cleaned up the area and kept it very clean, even while he was working (but I would have understood if it got messier - very surprised honestly on how clean it was). We needed someone to install two chandeliers. Brian came out to give us a quote and explained everything professionally. He knew what he was talking about, so I was easily convinced!However, I did take one more estimate, but that electrician was not as convincing or showed much interest. He also kept on bragging about his previous work.So I decided to go with WHE. Excellent customer service, kept us posted via emails, and texted what to expect next. On the day of work, Brian came out as a main Electrician with his wonderful helper, they both were nice and cheerful. Work was done in a timely manner and both were meticulous in their work. They used shoe booties since we don't wear shoes inside the house. In fact, they vacuumed my house afterwards and put everything back where it belonged, superseding my expectations. I called West Houston Electric in order to have a Transfer Switch installed for my recently purchased mobile generator. I was scheduled for the arrival block of 10am to 12pm, the company called asking if I was free for the early slot of 8am to 10am. Fortunately, I was available.The tech assigned to my job, Rolan, arrived around 8:30 am. He was very pleasant, friendly, knowledgeable and respectful. Not just to me, but to the interior and exterior of my home. He was upfront about the process and pricing of the job I had inquired about.Once the prices, which were somewhat higher than expected, were discussed and agreed upon, he promptly began working on getting the Transfer Switch installed. The install is very clean, easy to use, and has some safety features as well.After the install, Rolan conducted a safety check of the house including outlets and smoke detectors. We sat down to discuss his recommended fixes and prices for them. Their prices are a little on the higher side, but they include their labor rate in the pricing of itemsThe overall experience was excellent, even with their higher than expected prices. I'd recommend Rolan to others seeking a professional and knowledgeable electrician. I will most likely call West Houston Electric and request Rolan for any future services.

I called the company for an outlet I needed installed. Rolan was sent to evaluate the work needed. He gave a detailed description of issues with meeting code. He completed what was required to get me going without trying to upcharge. Very respectful and neat young man. Drew came to my home to repair one light fixture and install 3 other ones. He was prompt in arriving, professional in his appearance and conduct, and very friendly and enjoyable to be around. Joseph and Brian were very patient, thorough, and clear explaining the abstract electrical engineering world of knowledge in an hour’s time…and answering the million questions I had. Our technician was Rolan, an extremely professional and very knowledgeable Electrician that replaced meter panel due to damage from drought subsidence. He also installed surge protector and new copper grounding rod. I am on oxygen 24/7 and was provided a generator to run my oxygen concentrator, refrigerator and freezer while all the work was being done. Very friendly and very courteous. We used West Houston Electric in 2017 to replace some outlets and also the breaker box on our home, which was built in the 1970s. We were very happy with the service, so when we wanted to have someone diagnose our doorbell, we knew who to call!Rolan came out today to run diagnostics on our doorbell. He was very friendly and personable and clear in his explanations. We needed a new transformer, which he installed. He also checked our GFCI outlets and breaker box while he was here.He explained the workings of our breaker box to me and made some good recommendations with an estimate so my husband and I could discuss.Since 2017, WHE has upgraded their system to include automated emails and text messages. Rolan also took pictures and notes with an iPad. I appreciate the service and having the backup documentation for our account.

I had a technician come out to my place for some electrical work and to assess whether we needed to upgrade our panel. The first appointment was great.But then we book a day for them to come for an all day appointment for a panel upgrade and the first availability was 15 days later, and I pay UP FRONT for the work. I get a confirmation email that my appointment is booked.Then, no one shows up to do the job, and when I call West Houston apparently my appointment wasn't booked correctly.I was initially upset because their next available date was 20 days later. However, the owner called me and apologized and moved things around to get someone out within the next few days, to ensure I didn't have to go to the back of the line.I really appreciate how he wanted to make things right for their mistake.

Tech Theo did a great job for our interlock installation, and was very responsible and considerate in the whole installation process. He even helped install Sense for our panel, and help us figure out the adjuster needed to wire 4 prong 30amp to 50amp. He went above and beyond and pointed out the incorrect grounding bushing the builder has put in. I strongly recommend west houston electric.

Theo provided a good alternative to relocating a smoke detector in my house. He made sure all my electrical needs were covered and was very respectful and professional.

They did good work but their prices are not competitive. They also quoted me one price and realized their quote was wrong after arriving and tried to increase the labor price by $200. Ultimately, they honored their origins price, but it was an unnecessary headache. They then quoted other work at $850 that another master electrician did for $275.They do great work. You can get the same done for much cheaper by equally competent electricians though.Edit*** owner reply is false.The difference in price was not related to a difference in distance. The electrician did ask where I wanted the charger, I gave him a location and said ultimately I did not care.I was told by the electrician at my house that you accidentally quoted a nema 14-50 outlet instead of the Tesla charger and the Tesla charger was $200 more. I asked the reason for the price increase and was told it was “just your rate.”You were not going to honor your original quote for the charger directly below my breaker box until after 3 calls to your office.

Recently we had an electrical problem that I had tried to fix and was unable to, so we called West Houston Electric to help us out.Drew and his colleague showed up on time and ready to work. West Houston Electric sent a technician, Michael, to do some general repairs. Michael assessed the work to be done, reviewed a quote with us to perform the work, and completed the work in a professional and efficient manner. During the horrific ice storm debacle and power outages in the Houston area, every fire alarm in my house went off - 7 in total. This has never happened before. It was random - every 4, 5, 8 hours. It was also deafening. I had no idea those fire alarms talked to each other and when one goes off - they all go off. I also had no idea how loud those alarms were. The house was unlivable. It always happened between 2 am and 4 am every morning without fail. It started with the first power outage but did not stop when the power was off. It did not help to remove or change batteries. I called West Houston Electric. They were so kind and came in a few hours. Ryan was awesome. He had to replace every fire alarm that was wired into the house. They had 7 on the truck. That shocked me. They had all the parts. Ryan also found a problem that I did not know existed and fixed it while he was here. Last night was my first night's sleep in 4 nights compounded by freezing in the house for days, in general. Finding a company that is this kind and caring about people is not easy at all. When I find a company that is caring, I make a point to write a review to let everyone know how great the company is. They could have easily put me off til next week. They will have my business from this point forward. There are more projects to come very soon. I HIGHLY recommend.

Have used them twice. First time was for some low priority, non-emergency work that we had time to get quotes and compare. Not only were they the only people to show up when they said they would, they also quoted at less then half of the other guys. Work was done very quickly and professionally.When our power went out do to faulty breaker panel installation that fried our panel (builder, not them) it was a no brainier to call them. They came out quickly performed the work and did a thorough safety inspection verifying that it was installed properly this time.

He was patient (we had purchased equipment for installation before another electrician abandoned us), and put up with us rookies attempting to figure out our Ring doorbell while he was here. I contacted West Houston Electric initially to fix a problem with some recessed lights and to install an outside motion detector light. They responded in a very timely manner and sent Drew out to access the situation and give me a free estimate. We also discovered that my electrical box was in a dangerous state and I decided to have that replaced as well. After getting several estimates I found their quote for the job to be reasonable considering the scope of work.Drew the electrician was extremely prompt, personable and got right to work. I am sure I pestered him numerous times with questions throughout the day and he was very patient with me and explained things in a way that I could understand. I also felt confident in his ability to take care of the tasks at hand. He needed to come back a few days later to finish the job (the delay was my fault, scheduling issue) and was even able to install a ceiling fan for me on short notice since I broke mine the night before. I would definitely recommend this business and would give Drew high marks for his service.

After my stone mason lied about his electrician being licensed, and they totally removed and disassembled my whole electrical panel and circuit breakers only to learn afterwards that the guy had no license (!), I called the City Permit office and then West Houston Electrical to coordinate complete removal of everything again, plus some of the stone, due to cold air coming through cracks. Few problems found and items were not sealed properly. But Drew with West Houston Electric did an excellent job coordinating with Centerpoint, the Permit Office, and the stone mason to get everything corrected and completed and turned back on, all in one day after a full day job. This is a very good electric company with procedures and services far beyond typical electricians. They also notify you with a picture ID of the electrician coming to your home, and when they are due there. I highly recommend this firm.

I can't say enough good things about West Houston Electric. Ryan is the technician who usually comes to my house when we have electrical issues or need a light fixture repaired or installed. He's VERY knowledgable and he actually walked me through the mechanics of how power gets into my house from the pole and then how it runs into my garage to the breaker boxes and how surge protection works for your home. Other electricians I've used in the past never take the time to explain things to me so I feel at their mercy when they try to bill me for items I'm not sure I need. Thank you!!

I call on West Houston Electric every time I have any type of electrical need. Most recently, they installed 33 smart switches, cameras, and devices. The result was perfect! They have the most professional and qualified staff that I have worked with.
