Update: Received a personal call from Justin apologizing for the lack of communication regarding arrival window. As I stated below, have always had a great experience with A1. This past Saturday seemed to be out of the norm. Grateful for the personal call.Original Statement: Always have a great experience with A1 Electrical with the exception of my last install. I have had this company out several times spending several thousand each time. This last install I was told 7am-10am arrival but installer showed up after 12:30pm. They never called to inform me they were running late. When I called to follow up at 10am they said tech would arrive in an hour. Tech didn’t arrive for another 2.5 hours later.

I forgot the name of the electrician that helped me but no complaints as far as knowledge and service goes. My biggest complaint was the absurd cost. I’m a reasonable person and would gladly pay a $50-$100/hr on top of any additional repair/installation fees if needed. For simple troubleshooting, no new installation or replacement of parts, was $270. Not to mention, the root cause to my problem could not be determined so I’m not sure if the same problem will happen again. There’s no way I’ll pay this company another $270 just to find out...

I am very satisfied and will be using NextDoor Electric for any future electrical work. I needed an EV charger professionally installed, and this place was in the neighborhood. I never used NextDoor Electric before, but after reading all the reviews I decided to give them a chance. The reviews don't lie, NextDoor Electric is excellent. They worked with me to set an appointment that worked best for my schedule and answered any questions I had prior to the appointment. On appointment day, they were able to get me a very reasonable quote and perform the work all within the stated appointment window. The quote came in lower than I expected, and much lower than the recommended installers from the EV manufacturer themselves. On top of that, NextDoor Electric warranties all of their work, making them a great value. One thing I will note is that EV chargers are still relatively new, and each manufacturer has their own special installation instructions. Please don't expect NextDoor (or any electrician) to be product experts for every charger out there, there will be some on-the-job learning and double-checking to make sure the install is done correctly. I won't knock NextDoor Electric on this detail because its new for everyone. However, I saw Tae (the installer) take several pictures and notes to send back to their office that I hope will be used for future jobs. Finally, ask for Tae, he's a good guy and very friendly. Very thorough with his work, and cleaned up after the job was done.

My home seems to have had some DIY electrical work done in the past. I wanted an electrician to help determine that things were safe and correctly done, in addition to changing out some fixtures and switches. The electrician provided by Mr. Electric addressed all my concerns and repaired the problems encountered. Now I'm sure my home is safe and beautiful.

We had a pleasure recently to have Curtis install couple of outside lights replacing 30-year-old ones, and repairing a ceiling light fixture (no longer available) inside our house. Apart from a very pleasant and highly professional demeanor, we were impressed with Curtis’ knowledge and obvious experience in the trade. This has made us feel completely secure and convinced that, after a few unsatisfactory tries with other electricians, we are finally getting the best service at a best price. We shall call Curtis for another project very soon and those of you who are reading this should call him too!

This was the best experience I have ever had so far with an electric company. The guys were very knowledgeable and professional. They arrived well with in the time frame we set. Finished the job in a timely manner cleaned up everything in and out no issues at all. They definitely exceeded my expectations by far. If this was the Olympics they would have brought home the gold medal. They installed my generator to my breaker box panel outstanding job. I'll definitely be using them again in the near future. Great company

I am new home owner and had previous electrical work done by another contractor. I didn't know at the time but it was a really bad job. This visit was a blessing to not only me but my house and family. Mr. Electric sent out Francisco to install 1 front door light and 3 outdoor floodlights. The company informed me that he would arrive earlier than scheduled which was a good surprise. He was very professional and courteous. After installing the first light without any problems he moved on to the second and oh boy that is where the problems begin. The old breaker for the circuit to all the oldside lights were totally wrong. So instead of 120v going thru the line, it was 250v. This is why my old flood lights failed in the first place and needed replacing. Franciso went above and beyond to find this out. He was all up in my attic tracing the wires back to the fuse box and figured it out in no time. When he replaced the old flood lights the metal bracket was all burnt and fried black. This was a fire hazard waiting to happen. If it wasn't for Francisco's hard work I would have never found out. I want to thank Mr. Electric for sending him to my house. If you want peace of mind and quality work done right at a reasonable price do not hesitate to call Mr. Electric. Definitely my new go to electricians from now on. Thank you Francicso so much.

This company did work on a neighbors house that required they did up in an easement thru my backyard. I’ll start by saying I seriously doubt this is a woman owned company. Never saw one woman and I’m pretty sure I saw all their employees. They tore up my yard and they never got any information from the gas company or anybody else around about where other lines were. There were none of those token flags that should be used to identify other lines going through your yard. Subsequently they dug right through my fiber optic cable. The men they had Digging did not speak a lick of English so I’m pretty sure they are not regular employees and possibly just temporary/day employees. And they worked these men to death had them digging in the Texas heat from 8 AM until 11 PM. Regardless my complaint is they destroyed my yard and did absolutely nothing to rectify the situation. They told me that they had to put something on my door that said that they were not responsible for damages which I think is a joke. Not sure who they think they are but they don’t get to decide that they’re not responsible for any damage that is done to my yard. I tried contacting them about the minimal amount of money that it’s going to cost to have my yard fixed and they are not interested. I would definitely look for a bigger establishment if you’re gonna have major work done. Someone who can follow the laws and the regulations and be safe.
