John did an awesome job on putting our wants for a master shower together and urs beautiful. He personally came to check progress daily.

My wife and I purchased our Home, a Midcentury Modern built in 1955 by Ralph Haver in the Arcadia neighborhood of Phoenix. The Home had original ungrounded wiring with exposed wire splicing. There were also two rooms that were added by a previous owner without permits.

Ultimately, we wanted to fully restore our Home to its original character, while at the same time, installing all of the safety, amenities and conveniences found in homes of new construction today.

We interviewed a handful of contactors for this task, Steve Shinn from Homework Remodels being one of them. Steve immediately stood out from the group. We found him easy to talk to, prompt and extremely knowledgeable with the historic characteristics of our Haver Home.

With Steve’s help, we nearly rebuilt most of the major components of our Home. When it was said and done, we upgraded the entire wiring and electric panel, installed new HVAC main unit and ducting lines, replaced all of the plumbing lines (both supply and drain lines including the sewer), installed LED recessed lighting throughout the Home, constructed a stem wall, a trench drain and added mini split HVAC units which the City required for issuing permits for the two unpermitted rooms, installed a 16” slider to the backyard, utilized steel beams to remove loan bearing walls in order to open up the kitchen and the living rooms, installed a tankless water heater system, applied sprayed insulation in the small attic, and performed various other upgrades.

We are very happy with Steve’s work. We found Steve’s work to be of high quality and found Steve’s expertise and creativity in helping rebuild our Haver Home to be invaluable.

We plan on hiring Steve in the near future to complete Phase 2 of our Home, which will include all of the finishes.

We hired Holtzman to renovate the entire exterior of our home. We changed our stucco from textured to smooth, renovated two exterior balconies, added a metal/cable railing on each balcony, new front door, new garage door, demo’d old concrete and replaced with it pavers, replaced a side gate with a metal one, repaired wooden fascia along the trim, and painted. All of this was completed before the 6 week timeline they gave us. Rob was our contractor and did an awesome job at keeping us informed with what was happening and when. All of the people that came to work on our house were outstanding and professional. The exterior of our house now looks like a brand new build! We were so impressed with their work, we already hired them to renovate our master bathroom next. I highly recommend them to other people and plan to continue to use them for future projects.

I had a Sales Consultant provide a quote on a small stucco job on January 18th. The consultant was nearly 2 hours late past HIS stated arrival time for the appointment. Upon reviewing the quote, it was nearly $700 more than the next “highest” bid. Needless to say, I did not go with TWD, as they obviously do not value the customer’s time or input. *Update* The owners are claiming to have time stamped photos. I have phone logs, showing the estimator didn’t arrive until nearly 2 hours after his stated arrival time. I got a phone call at 10:31 AM, saying he was on his was way (but didn’t actually arrive for nearly another 40 minutes as he “had to stop by the office”), so how is it possible for them to have time stamped photos of my house at 10:35?

Maxum is the best. We couldn’t be more pleased with our bathrooms. From the initial contact with John and Taylor, when they came to our house to take measurements, to the final inspection, they were professionals with a personal touch. Within two or three days, a design for the master bath was sent to us for review. The plan was excellent and fit our space perfectly. After a visit to the show room for a detailed discussion, we decided to have both bathrooms remodeled simultaneously. The two professionals who worked on the project, Ricardo and Jose, were extremely skilled and talented. There were no delays, no glitches, everything went smoothly and attention to detail was always in the forefront. The custom-made vanities, cabinets and tiling are exceptional. The most important aspect was the communication between Maxum and us. Everything was open and honest and Maxum delivered. We could not recommend them more for a remodel and will no doubt use them again in the future.

Endless ads online.... to me this is intrusive and indicates they over-spend on customer acquisition, which of course means they're going to be very, very expensive.

It was pleasure doing business with PJH Construction. The part owner - Andrew Thruston came out and knew exactly what my wife and I were looking for. From the start of the project (building office/den and featured wall in great room) which the assigned project manager was Jeff and was delivering excellent results with his crew: Alex, Robert, Fernando and Giovanni. In addition, Jose who worked on the featured wall in great room which came out PERFECT! Again, my wife and I really appreciate the honesty with the PJH crew as they accomplished the project before the committed deadline. When I first walked into Trinity Remodeling and met the owner Anthony, I explained my frustration with the long waiting time estimates for kitchen remodeling I was given by competitors. Not only did he fulfill his promise to get my kitchen cabinets and quartz countertop project completed within a much shorter time period, but he far exceeded my expectations in so many ways. He was able to work within my budget. Anthony is a hand's-on owner who does not disappear after you sign a contract. I put it in his hands to create the plan working with my existing layout. I am so glad I did because he has excellent design vision no matter the space size he is presented. Anthony came to my house several times to check on the progress and called me often to ensure I was pleased. Each phase of the project was timely and smooth from demolition to the end. Every person or team he chose, whether it be demo team, cabinet and countertop installers, electrician or plumber....ALL were communicative, punctual, courteous, tidy, and excellent at their craft. The office support staff often called me to check in to ensure things were going smoothly. I was extremely pleased with my kitchen transformation. There were no surprise costs, as things were discussed up front about what could be added on if deemed necessary and those costs were very reasonable as was the total cost. I give Anthony 5 stars also in character as he truly cares about those who trust him to deliver.

True Craftsmen. Dan and Danny did a flawless job with our new interior doors and cat door installation. Looks like they were always a part of the house. The Patio Pergola tho was much more amazing than I thought it could be. they took a very basic sketch i had and made a beautiful and sturdy construction that Im sure will last forever. it is well constructed, great quality and most importantly functional so we can enjoy our new shaded patio. They were very communicative, using text and email which i appreciate. Always on time and very respectful of the home. I will use their expert services again for sure. Thanks Guys!

We had Spicegirl Remodeling renovate our kitchen this summer. New floor, countertops, tiling, lots of painting. We are extremely pleased with how the kitchen came out. Ericka was awesome and did what was necessary to ensure a great outcome. As with just about any project of this nature there will be bumps along the way but it is how those bumps are dealt with that matters. Ericka was flawless in handling those bumps and we can't thank her enough. After several months everything is holding up beautifully. Her crew was also very professional and we enjoyed having them work in our home. I highly recommend them!
