Best General Plumbing in Fort Worth TX

From the beginning of scheduling the service until completion, the team at Service Squad Plumbing was excellent. Loy the service technician explained all options to my wife, then had her call me to explain as well. He used laymen terms to explain all three options and recommended what he thought was the best option to save money and repair the situation for long term use. Greatly appreciate the honesty and workmanship.

On Tuesday July 26, 2022 we called Mr. Rooter because of a clogged drain in our kitchen. I explained to your technician, Brett, that we had a clog and he suggested running a cable in the drain to unclog it. Brett ran the cable all the way out once and back and told me that there was grease in the drain. I asked if he could run the cable again and he told me that it would not remedy the problem because the cable would just go through the clog and the clog would reseal once the cable was retracted. He billed us $365.50 and left as quickly as he arrived. All we had to show for our time was a invoice that stated:

Clogged island sink. Ran cable attempting to remove blockage. Ran 75ft. Pulled back cable, incased in grease over 40ft of cable. No foot
vent installed. Recommend treating with sizzle or finding a company that will hydro jet from the interior. Unable to clear grease.

We did as he suggested to no avail. We called one of your competitors to hydro jet the same area. They advised against using hydro jetting because of the possible mess and hazard that it would create. They wanted to use a cable too but I was reluctant because of what I was told by Brett. Nevertheless, they convinced us to try the cable again and were able to clear the drain. The new plumber asked, Why did the first guy only run the cable one time? I now have the same question. We paid for a service and only received half effort, excuses and disappointment. I am so angry that we went four days without access to our kitchen sink only because of your technician's lack of effort.

We had to pay someone else to do what you should have done the first time!

First company to answer their phone on the morning that my water heater decided to die. Very polite and helpful. Came out in 5 hours and had me taken care of in about 90 minutes. They are now my plumber of record!

Good and bad.... They showed up when they said they would. They did the work as agreed and cleared the line. We paid as agreed. Now the issue... warranty. They say there's a warranty, but there's not really. There will always be some reason or something they find that will not be covered under the warranty. Yes, they get the job done even when others don't seem to be able to do so. Yes, they showed up when agreed. Just don't ever count on a warranty for clogged lines.

Would NOT recommend them.

ABC Plumbing (Sean and Jaden) did an excellent job in removing our old water heater and installing a new tankless water heater. They were very professional, friendly, courteous and knowledgeable. They answered our questions and explained the annual cleaning requirements for the tankless water heater. They cleaned up their construction dust and disposed of the old water heater. We have used ABC Plumbing in the past for other issues and have been very satisfied with their work. These guys are great! Dispatch was super helpful and made certain to contact me before sending someone out. Phil got here and was quickly able to determine the cause of the faucet leak and make the repair.

Emailed my plans twice and called twice, still no answer or response. I had heard a lot about their reputation but I guess they don't care about building new business or relationships. Hate being that guy but I have no choice since I've not heard back in 3-4 weeks.

I recently had a water heater repair done by this company, and I couldn't be happier with the service I received. The technician was extremely knowledgeable and efficient, and had my unit up and running again in no time. I can now enjoy hot showers again without worrying about any issues or malfunctions.

Didn’t find leak but wants payment anyway.
Called company to detect slow leak. We kept our water off except one hour per day while waiting on them. They came out 3 times over weeks rodding the yard. The last man planted a flag in out flower bed and said they would send an estimate. After a week, at 69 yrs old, I dug up the whole area. No leak. Called the Ft Worth Water Department to check my meter. While here, they checked where ALD said the leak was and said there was no leak there. That the slow leak was probably just that we didn’t cut off the sprinkler system at the street. Months later, I received invoice. I told them I didn’t feel that I owed them since they didn’t accomplish finding the leak and left us hanging for weeks not using water. The man said he understood. Months later, I got another invoice. I called corporate who said someone would call me back. A month later, she called said they talked to the local store and they only care about getting paid and corporate is not going to get involved. Then threatened to turn it over to collections. So I will pay but I will also let others know of my experience with this company. I personally don’t want to hire any company who wants to get paid for not accomplishing the job. See attached photos where they said there was a leak.

I purchased an entire new unit from Metro Energy in May 2019. Within 2 years the capacitor went bad. I paid for it not realizing it was a part that was under warranty. In Feb 2022 the heat went out. They came and said my unit was dirty and tried to sell me filters and a 3k cleaning system. Two days later the heat went out again. They came back out and repaired it. They performed maintenance on the unit late March 2022, still trying to sell me their filters and cleaning system. Fast forward to this month and the heat goes out again. This time the motor is blown. Their only reasoning each time they have to come out is that my filter is dirty and cause the unit to clog. I change my filters like clockwork every 30 days using the reminder on the thermostat. I googled dirty filters and my filter that has been in the unit for 20 days looks nothing like the filthy filters pictured. Even though the motor was under warranty, I got hit with a labor charge of over $400 for less than an hours work. When I called to speak to someone about the price of labor, I was told I would get a call back from a manager but that has not happened. From the reviews that I have read other customers have purchased new systems around the same time that I did and their units are breaking down every few months as well. It looks as if the product is subpar or we were not given new units that we were told we were getting. I used Metro Energy for over 15 years but now that I know I can use the manufacturer's authorized dealers, I will be finding a new HVAC company to service my unit because there is no reason for a brand new unit 3 years old to be having problems every 6 months and they are constantly blaming it on the filters while trying to sell their additional products. Something needs to be done regarding these bad units. #classaction
