3/10/22, 2pm, completed online form. Received phone call in about 30minutes. Set an appointment for a leak detection on 3/18/22. She told me I would receive a text or email the day before (3/17/22) to confirm the time window for the appointment- All good on that end.
3/17/22, 2pm, had not received confirmation on time window for appointment. Called and spoke with reception, they said Yes we do see you on the schedule here for tomorrow and you should be getting that text here in about 20 minutes. I said Okay good I just didn't want to wait till the end of day and not receive anything, then y'all would be closed when I call in. Just needing to know if I'm going into work on time or coming in late.
3/17/22, 5:49pm, still had not received email or text confirming time window. Called, got recording saying they're helping others and would return my call but the voicemail box was full. Recording said they answer the phone till 8 or 830pm. I called 3 more times that evening, last one being at 7:20pm. Pretty evident that no one was taking calls or checking voicemails.
3/18/22, 2:30am (yes, AM), received email that my appointment was confirmed for 3/18/22, But there was no time window. Your appointment is scheduled for 3/18/2022 and our tech should arrive within a two hour window beginning at 3/18/2022.
3/18/22, 7:26am, called and got same recording.
3/18/22, 7:30am, called and spoke with receptionist. She said they closed the office at 5pm the day before but they still answer their phones. She did not comment on my issue of their mailbox being full and no one answering/returning calls. She did confirm that my appointment was scheduled for between 1pm - 3pm, but tech would call if they get finished early and can meet at an earlier time. Cool, so now I can go into work for a bit.
3/18/22 10:20am, tech called and said he could meet early, met him at 11:30am. Asked tech what all he would need access to and he asked what he was there for. It might be common that dispatch doesn't give the reason a call came in (I specifically asked for a leak detection to be performed). Might also be common that that task couldn't be done at the time of my appointment, but him not knowing what he was there for sits uneasy with me after the poor communication I had been experiencing. Showed tech a separate issue that I had going on. He looked at it for about 5 minutes and said we can fix it but, it's going to be a big project. That was about it. Not much elaboration on what all he thought would be required other than the possibility of gutting a bathroom and tearing down a separate wall. I asked about an alternative solution, he said that might be a less expensive option but his company doesn't do that type of plumbing work (epoxy). He said he'd still work me up a quote. He said he didn't think I needed a leak detection, that if anything was leaking, I'd know it. He said he wouldn't charge me for coming out today (if he did this would be a 1 star). He said he would still work me up a quote that way I could see what all the work might total up to. Today is 3/23/22 and I have yet to receive a quote.
3/18/22 12:45pm, called another plumbing company (reach out for contact into) to set up an appointment as they at least mention epoxy on their website. By 12:55pm I had an appointment set for 10am-12pm 3/23/22, confirmed via text.
3/22/22 10am, received text from new plumbing company confirming appointment.
3/23/22 10am, received text containing a picture of my tech along with a little section on his hobbies/qualifications. said he'd call shortly to give an eta.
3/23/22 10:40, received call he was 30 minutes out. He arrived within 30 minutes, address my biggest project and walked me through different ways he thought they might go about fixing the issue. Never once was big project or anything like that mentioned. He was confident he had a plan for fixing the situation after being there about 20 minutes. He stepped out for 10 minutes and came back with a quote. He's coming out next week to fix what I have yet to receive a quote for from ALD.
