I have nothing but praises for my experience. I was given a window of 8:00am to 11:00am. Edwin and (I forgot his associate's name) showed on time. They were friendly, professional, warm and patient with me. They worked efficiently and were respectful of my home. This is completely contrary to the service I received from a competitor. He showed late, did not cover his work boots, tried to bully me into additional work and was extremely very unprofessional. The competitor, Happy Home, wanted to charge me $525.00. Pure-Line's cost was $236.00.

After having my shower/tub refinished I needed to have a plumber out to re-install the fixtures that had been removed for this process. On a Tuesday they scheduled me for Thursday. Later, service tech Dalton called and said he had a full day on Thursday and wondered if he could come on Wednesday instead. I thought- Great, the sooner the better. He stated he would be here no later than 11am and showed up promptly at about 10:30 am. Once he arrived, he and his coworker were not only professional, but also patient and kind. They took their time to speak with me and get clarification on things I needed/wanted. They answered my questions and addressed my concerns. The fixtures that I had didn't match, making my bathroom a little more hobo than boho chic. Dalton stated that he could research the trim that would match my valve so that they wouldn't have to remove the wall. (I had been told by a previous plumber that removing the wall would be necessary if I wanted to change my fixtures to a newer model. But he had never suggested that there could be a set still available to match my existing valve system.) He stated as soon as he got to the office he would send me the information. No joke, within like 30 minutes of their leaving, he called me back indicating that he found a set to match, provided me with the price and expected date of arrival and potential date for installation. Just remarkable. Long story short (I know this was long)- They spoke with me to get a clear understanding of my needs, asked questions, and investigated their concerns. It was a great experience. I appreciated their help and expertise so much. And they will be returning to install a matching set that is compatible with my fixtures, saving me on money and time. I trust these guys, they gave me peace of mind!

Installed new kitchen faucet

During a time when customer service is at an all time low, due to worker shortages and increased demand, it's incredibly refreshing to call a business, have the owner answer the phone and and have same-day availability! Mr. William arrived within an hour of my call to fix my HVAC system that was not blowing hot or cold air. He asked if I wanted to watch him repair the unit and I enthusiastically said yes! Not many people take the time to walk you through through every step of the diagnostic tests. Once he pinpointed the issues (a safety feature that cut the system off and some faulty repairs from a previous HVAC company), I was quoted a price to repair, I signed off on the work and and my unit was back to operational within the hour. The whole process was informative, transparent and easy. Then I found out he not only repairs HVAC, but also plumbing and electrical. Last but not least, I love to support locally owned and operated, Black businesses. This was an all-around great experience and I will be calling again.

They replaced my cut off valve, the drain line, dielectric unions, and a new tank. Very professional. Two years later and it works like a champ. Better than I had in the previous 14 years.

Great service

Recent interaction with Sparrow and Sons was a total waste of time and money. Asked them to put in a new kitchen faucet. First serviceman came out and looked over the situation. After much wrangling with the company, I finally got the specs and bought the correct faucet at Lowes. When the second serviceman came out to install it, he tells me that he can't do it because I have mobile home plumbing! His advice: Just let it leak. So I had to return faucet to Lowes and got absolutely nothing. Why didn't the first serviceman tell me that Sparrow Co. doesn't do plumbing in mobile homes?? I paid $95 for the first visit, but then they had the nerve to bill for the second visit. Only because the receptionist was very nice, do I give them one star.

I had to have a drain replaced in my shower stall. It was far more complicated work than anticipated and Eddie worked at it until the problem was solved. As they say, by the work, one knows the workman. Highly recommend Affordable Plumbing and Eddie!

Piedmont Metro installed a Goodman heat pump for us last year after our AC pooped out in the dog days of summer. AC worked perfectly through the end of the warm weather.

A few months later winter rolls around and the heat doesn't work. Piedmont came out and manually switched the system to heat, citing a faulty (preexisting) thermostat. I bought and installed a new smart thermostat.

A few months later, come March or April, we needed AC again. Turned on the AC, AC didn't work, so Piedmont came out again and manually switched the system back over to cooling. Said the thermostat's the problem. So I went out and bought a second brand new thermostat and installed it. No dice.

Now it's September and it's getting cold again and our heat doesn't turn on. Had a different company come out (Green Horizon) and they figured out that the orange wire that controls the reversing valve had a short somewhere.

After diagnosing the problem Piedmont couldn't diagnose Green Horizon suggested using one of the other unused wires instead of the orange wire. Worked like a charm. Piedmont's responsive, friendly, but ultimately incompetent, at least in our situation.

Dr. Drain sent an expert who was kind enough to talk everything through with us and explained pricing all before he did any work. He finished the work in a timely manner and was able to fix all our problems.
