Best HVAC System Maintenance in Anchorage AK

Home Warranty of America (HWA) contracts with Hogins Plumbing & Heating. Having had a [different] home warranty in Tennessee, I had absolutely zero expectations. However, Mr. Hogins far exceeded what I had expected. Despite having worked the entire day, he still made time to come repair 2 toilets, 3 drains and 1 shower at 9:45pm at night. He found a cracked toilet with a very slow leak. He replaced a valve, 2 gaskets and the fill mechanism for another toilet that had been both constantly running and leaking. He cleaned all the bathroom drains. He arranged to order a new American Standard Champion 1.6GPF with 2-3/8~2.375 fully-glazed trapway with 4 non-adjustable, piston action Accelerator 1-piece toilet that I had significantly researched and that I had a positive experience using (e.g., no clogging whatsoever) at a former residence. It is super nice that I could choose my toilet! Mr. Hogins is polite, courteous, honest, diligent. His twenty-year-old trainee daughter accompanied him. I am astonished that he stayed so late, until the job was complete. That all contractors were as ethical, kind and professional as Mr. Hogins!

The young man has now come out 3 years in a row to do routine maintenance on my boiler HRV and garage heater. He's very friendly and does the job . I will keep calling them

A connection they replaced leaked, but they came back within a couple of hours of calling about it to fix it. And they did with no additional charge. Pleased with service and personnel.

The General Manager Jack Meyer is a pleasure to work with. Jacks team came out and replaced our Trane furnace in no time at all. They were true professionals and very respectful. We would never call call anyone else for our HVAC. Thanks for being so fast and efficient. Weather in Alaska is no joke. Diamond Heating is the best!

Very courteous and professional gentlemen came to do our boiler install, and completed the job very timely. Customer service and scheduling was a breeze also. Will continue using this mechanical company, they make my life easy.

My husband and I rent a unit through a rental property here in Anchorage. Their maintenance team rented out the services of Kleb’s Mechanical to do an inspection on our boiler/ furnace. We received a missed call from Peter stating that he was suppose to be at our unit 3 hours prior but he was held up at another job. He then stated he could be at our unit in 15- 30 minutes and to give him a call back to confirm. We called Peter back right after the missed call and told him at that exact moment of the call we were not at our house but could be there in 10 minutes. He then proceeded to tell us never mind we can just reschedule. Fast forward to today, my husband and I received a bill for $230.05 for a “no showed” appointment. I am very frustrated and angry at the lack of professionalism coming from this company and from Peter. It seems like they wanted to make money and not do their job. I would not recommend using their services.

*EDIT TO ADD AFTER KLEB'S RESPONSE* This response from Kleb's you see below is just avoiding the entire point of my review. But in response, we had already spoken with our rental property management company (PRIOR to even writing this review) who told us Kleb's billed them to then bill us for this no-showed appointment. I even called Kleb's a few weeks ago to try and figure out why we were billed for a no-showed appointment when it was their worker who told us we needed to re-schedule even though we were ok with him coming over that day. I was speaking to the manager at Kleb's and he told me that it was my word against his workers and even if his worker did say this, he did not want to reprimand or fire his workers because he was already having a hard time finding workers right now. I never once even said that I wanted anyone fired or reprimanded? I only wanted to have someone look into what I was saying and have something done about it/ have the charges dropped/ something along those lines. He told me to calm down, appreciate the little things in life, and not worry about the small bill. He then went on a rant about his personal life and time in the hospital which was completely un-related to the concern I was bringing up. With the lack of concern coming from the manager, I knew I had lost this battle and ended up paying the fine anyway but I would NEVER recommend using Kleb's services. They are so very unprofessional and will NOT look into customer's concerns!!

Kevin is responsive and performed such terrific service for both the business and personal HVAC/plumbing upkeep. Whether it is servicing current HVAC systems or working to install new, always a pleasure to work with and highly recommend!

The owner/operator presented himself professionally and the work was done quickly and efficiently. Receiving last minute scheduling and a text reminder prior to arrival was very helpful.

No unnecessary work was recommended or performed. Service provided was better, faster, more professional, and much more affordable than Alkota or alternatives, and he was able to discuss the problem over the phone and give an approximate estimate that he then far undercut while working. He also gave us maintenance pointers while working, to inform us of important work that had been neglected and how to perform it ourselves if necessary.

We recommend him very highly and will be relying on him exclusively in the future.

Needed a new well pressure tank, pre-filter and softener system. Craig scheduled the work within days and completed it within a few hours. He was fast, friendly, prompt, responsive to texts and followed up with some minor issues without difficulty. I couldn't ask for a better experience with any contractor

Raul installed my Lennox variable speed furnace and Paul put in an Air Scrubber Advanced-my home now smells like a walk in a misty forest and is as toasty as I need it to be. I have always been impressed with the quality customer service, care, and parts used by Moore Heating. Jason is great and very responsive and always transparent with every estimate. I always recommend Moore heating to my coworkers for their HVAC needs.
