Best Cooling Unit in Colorado Springs CO

One Source Home Service Plumber
Our AC went out and we decided to call out one source. The call service members were kind and prompt. They got us out a person the same day, Chris was awesome and fixed the issue causing our AC to not function properly. He told us there were other issues with our unit and quoted us the cost to repair them. I told him I needed to speak to my husband before I decided. Less than 24 hours later our AC unit stopped working again. We spoke to the call service workers again who said the service charge would not be applied on the visit, we agreed so they sent out another tech. That tech needed a supervisor to come out and look at our unit. The supervisor happened to be the general manager, Justin. He very quickly told me I needed an entire new unit to include an AC and a furnace. He told me that one small part needed to be fixed now to get the air going and the rest could be done at a later time. I agreed to have the part fixed, after the part was fixed I was charged over $250, I’ve paid them almost $500 in two days, in reality only one part was fixed and after researching it, it’s a $20 part! He also quoted me almost $10,000 for a whole new system. When I brought up the fact that the call service member told us we wouldn’t be charged another service fee he quickly stated that it was a different part and a new service fee. After going back and forth with him about what we were promised he began raising his voice and going around and around why he had to charge us that. For someone who wants to be hired for a $10,000 job he sure wasn’t going to honor what we were told about the service fee. He told us he would refund the job 100% if we spent the $10,000 to replace everything but after his demeanor and the way he spoke to me I would not even think about possibly using his company for any services. The entire situation seemed like highway robbery! The fact that we already paid them a large amount of money and he refused to drop the service fee as promised I couldn’t help but think this is truly a money hungry company!

Used to use this company but after the last visit, I'm switching to anyone other than HPE. Contractor came, partially fixed the problem, and then charged me 3.5 hours for what I recall was maybe 2 hours at the house. 45 minutes of that time owed to the contractor having to go to the store to buy parts. After partially fixing the issue, charged $540 dollars. Then, have an estimate of $500 more dollars to fix the rest, owing to a bad wire that must have become disconnected in the crawlspace. $500 for a wire?? Called for a second opinion from another vendor, they inspected, tested wires and found wires intact, with thermostats being the problem. They had to undo everything HPE did to fix the problem, which did NOT include $500 for a wire. How can you provide an estimate and cost of a problem you didn't even personally check in the first place? Proved to me HPE is ripping folks off for time and labor, for parts, and for notorious 2nd or 3rdvisits required to fix what other companies fix the first time. I do not recommend and if I could give zero stars, I would.

Julian arrived on time for our appointment and was very informative explaining exactly what was wrong with my furnace. He was sensitive to my financial situation and took it into account when suggesting a new furnace for me going the extra mile to get the best for what I could afford. Working with him today was a great pleasure.

Clint M. was very professional, Covid-19 compliant, and excellent technician. He ahd my furnace up and running in a short amount of time. Furnace was working fine when he left, unfortunately do to an intermittent problem with another part the repair didn't last through the night. I would certainly recommend Clint and use him going forward.Scott B. did the follow up visit to repair my furnace after Clint's initial service failed to correct my heating problem with my furnace. He verified the previous repair and continued to trouble shoot the problem, which was isolated to an intermittent problem with a faulty Controller Circuit Board. This CCB was replaced and the furnace is working great again. Scott was very professional, Covid-19 compliant, and excellent technician as was Clint.I highly recommend and will continue to use Home Heating Service, Inc. for all my HVAC services.
