The Tech told me the ice freeze on my unit meant there was definitely a leak. And depending on if the leak was on the outside or inside would determine how much the cost would increase. If outside--he could repair--if inside--he could not repair and the cost would be significantly higher—like replacing the unit. I asked several times, does he think the unit may just need cleaning because I could see grass and leaves on the inside of the frame. He said in his EXPERIENCE, when there is ice on the unit— there is ALWAYS a leak. And just adding the charge to the unit--it would just leak out. So I authorized payment for the leak search and it turned out to NOT have a leak at all! So basically—I could have paid for the 2-1/2 pounds of charge,” the cleaning, and the trip charge. On the Tech's advice that there was definitely a leak--I paid more than was necessary to the tune of $1,400.00!

After discovering a frozen coil I called the business and was given a next day appointment. Andrew showed up on time and diagnosed my problem within 15 minutes. After giving me several options for repair I opted to go with an installment of a new system due to the age of my AC and cost of R22. Mark was able to stop by an hour later, measure my system and walk me through my options. He answered all my questions, was honest and upfront. I elected for an installation of a new AC and Furnace due to their competitive pricing and great equipment offered. The install team showed up the next day and David introduced himself and what he’d be doing. Throughout the course of the day he kept me in the loop, didn’t mind my hovering and answered all of my questions. After they finished they cleaned up, walked me through my new system and left. I am beyond pleased with everything I was offered, from the service, sales, and installation. Great company and phenomenal staff. Give them a call, you won’t regret it.

Wingate Heating, Cooling, Plumbing, and Roofing were awesome! They were respectful and professional in replacing my furnace's heat exchanger. Not only did they replace it, they made sure my gas furnace is running more efficiently by adding air duct work as performed by Ty, Robby and Johnny. They did a fantastic job! Most of all, they cleaned up after themselves and kindly answered all my questions. Ty was awesome with explaining to me as a new home buyer how to operate the furnace, water heater, and AC along with giving me tips to make sure they are running efficiently. I was very impressed with this service especially since I'm Deaf, they made sure I understood everything they were saying with respect and professionalism. I highly recommend this company!!

Our water heater started leaking on a Saturday. Went to Lowes on Sunday to look at new ones and they connected us with Five Star Home Services. Sean came out on Sunday for a free estimate (other companies wanted to charge us for that). After several estimates, Five Star was the most reasonable, but provided 10-year warranty on new water heater, parts, and labor (no one else came close to that). Once we agreed, they had a team out first thing the following morning. We were told that 2 workers could take 3 hours of labor. They removed the old, updated connections, installed the new and were in and out in less than an hour. Professional, efficient, and a pleasure to work with all through the process.

Called Herrmann Services ( no hot water). Scott arrived 1.5 hours after calling. He was very professional, polite, knowledgeable-even with the bad news ( new tank), he was very comforting. Installed, hot water again, and he cleaned up his mess. Sad/ happy. Highly recommend. Melanie and Patty are great, as well. They keep it going. Thank you.
