We had some issues with our main sewer line being blocked by tree roots. It was a late Sunday evening and our technician Kyle arrived and was ready to help fix the issue. He was very thorough and detailed on what he was planning to do. He brought his equipment in and worked to get the job complete. This is probably our 3rd time calling Roto rooter and we have always had a good experience. Kyle was really qualified, professional and highly detail oriented.

We needed a new hot water installed to replace our old new that died out. They arrived on time and did a very thorough and professional job from start to finish.

It was honestly not a big job but we needed a professional plumber to take care of a leak in the toilet. Good thing about them is that they responded and sent a skilled technician who fixed the pipes that were leaking.

I called on a Friday afternoon. Chas was at my house shortly after and fixed my problem. Excellent customer service and follow up from the office as well. I’ve found our new go-to plumber!

Being an out of town property owner can have its disadvantages. Finding an honest repair company can be like finding a needle in a haystack. My tenants water heater burst in our Wrigleyville rental while she was away on business leaving us to deal with Apex Plumbing over the phone. They understood the urgency of the situation and eased our anxiety about not being there in person. Giving total strangers access to your property while away is not easy to do.

Chas assessed the situation, took his time in explaining the scope of work, quoted me a price and quickly got to work. I was very concerned with the damage and mess that may have occurred because my tenant wasn't going to be back for a few weeks. Much to my surprise upon her return she reported that the work area was left clean and EVERYTHING she had left in her house was in its place. Chas and the Apex Plumbing crew sure came through for us. Apex Plumbing to the rescue once again. My rental property on Belden was having sewer back up issues and I knew just who to call. Having proven themselves trustworthy and reliable over the years, I have given Apex a set of keys to the property so they can help me in urgent situations where access is needed fast. Shortly after calling them I received a phone call from the tech on site who explained that we needed to have the sewer rodded. I asked a few questions as to how to avoid this in the future and they were kind enough to offer some helpful preventive maintenance suggestions. I loved the fact that they weren't pushy in trying to sell me things and let me decide for myself based on the knowledge I have received. Thank you guys!!!

I had Adam and another representative in my home on 5.11 to inspect possible leaks from a letter I received from the City. Adam and the other rep did a great job, I paid them, and I thought our positive experience ended there. On Saturday, 5.16 I went to my basement to get my BBQ materials, (which happened to also be the place where Adam and the rep inspected for possible leaks and were left unattended for an extended period) and I found that my lighter fluid bottles were missing. I couldn't believe that it could have been Adam or the other rep, so I spent an hour looking and finally concluded that it was indeed gone and that Adam and the rep have been the only ones in my home since the purchase of the lighter fluid and the March 17th stay-at-home order. Captain Rooter was very responsive to the complaint, but I didn't appreciate that the manager tried to argue with me over the lighter fluid reimbursement. I did receive my reimbursement, but wont be hiring this company again simply because I cannot ensure the honesty and integrity of the reps they send out. I mean who steals lighter fluid!

We stumbled on to 4S Plumbing unwittingly through a referral from another plumber that wasn't able to help us. It was a happy accident though. Our plumber Tim was not only professional but an all-around nice guy who was happy to answer questions and look at other plumbing and leak issues around the house.

Tim had come to replace a kitchen faucet, but by the end of the visit our jammed garbage disposal was working and our previously useless upstairs bath had water pressure. Except for the faucet, these were all relatively simple fixes that a less scrupulous plumber could have easily have used to run up the bill. At the end of the day, half of our household maintenance list was checked off, and our bill was less than $400.

As for the backend, Bill responded immediately to our call, scheduling Tim's visit within a few hours. Billing was prompt, and all labor and parts charges were clearly delineated in an email receipt, which we were able to pay online.

In short, 4S is prompt, professional, modern and above all incredibly honest.

Tim, thanks to you, my spouse will be able to take her first hot bath since we moved in.

I paid $95 to John to diagnosis my sewer gas smell in my house which can be hazardous. He did not provide a diagnosis for what my issue was, mainly gave me a bunch of “maybe it’s this” or “maybe it’s this” or your house is just old and your going to have to replace the whole main pipe through the house resolve the issue. This was all in a span of 15 min and I gave $95 for this service call, so basically was left with more questions than answers. I even started to question my career choice, and thought about going into plumbing business and tell 9 out of 10 people what he said and make a quick $95 in 15 min. On the contrary, with Kennedy Plumbing located in Alsip, they were able to come in and find out what was going on and why I was getting the smell. They found out it was the P trap in the ground and gave a few options and how I can contain the smell until I’m ready to do the repair. Again, I highly recommend Kennedy plumbing!
