I called Kavana Plumbing because I needed 2 gas lines moved. The owner was very responsive. He called me back in minutes, asked for photos of my gas line needs and helped me communicate with the gas company, which was far beyond what was needed. He installed the lines in no time and double checked everything. I have used him twice since then. He’s reliable, knowledgeable, quick and efficient. Great service!

Ray is a great manager and Bobby is a professional plumber who knows everything about pipes, sewer, jetting, etc'. We have a problematic plumbing system in our building and they are working on the issues in the best way. We are recommending this company very much!

Hiring a plumber is nerve-wracking. Would I get a fair price? Would the work be done right or would it just be a quick fix? It's hard to find good people to work with! But wow, John and his team are honest, professional, thorough, and do incredible work. They've helped us with a few projects in our house and are always prompt, communicative, and pleasures to work with. They are upfront about cost and prices are very fair, always providing top quality service and work. They really look out for their clients and the longevity of their homes.

Bait and switch!!! They told me one price then after the work is done told me THEY had to get more line to do the job, and I have to pay $100.00 more!!!

Unfortunately, this businessman is very selective with his work and very expensive. After the first time he came out to my home which was for an emergency pipe repair in the middle of the night, I called him again to come to my home and give me an estimate and explanation for water collecting around the bottom of my toilet. One he was done inspecting and had told us how much he was going to charge, I told him that my husband and I would have to discuss the issue as his estimate was a lot of money and we were not prepared to make that kind of financial commitment at the time. A couple weeks later, my husband and I found ourselves in another emergency situation as our main sewer line had collapsed and was causing sewage water to back up into our bathtub. He answered the phone and responded that he could not help us at that time and was busy working on another project. I found another company, figured out a way to cover my expenses and did not press the issue. We again had other projects that we needed done after that so I reached out to Mike via text several times. He never had the decency to respond. This to me is extremely poor customer service and a man that is too greedy to take care of his customers. Shame. We had over $8000 worth of plumbing work done. Be cautious with this plumber as he does not take care of his customers.

We just got a new water heater installed by Sam Stretton of Chicago Water Heater and Plumbing Specialist. He was super responsive and knowledgeable when we were discussing which direction to go with our new heater. He kept us up to date as he looked into availability with the warehouse. He was on-time, professional, efficient, and a clear communicator when it came time to install. It really felt like he went above and beyond — all in time for a quick turnaround before the holidays!

After our DIY renovation required more plumbing work than we expected, we called Tony on a Saturday morning to give us an estimate on what it would take to get our project back on track. Tony made time that very afternoon. He gave us a detailed overview of what was required, including options that would keep our kitchen up to code and was able to come back the following Monday to complete the work. Tony is also a licensed electrician and agreed to take care of some electrical work, saving us the time and energy finding another person to help with our project. A few short days later, we're back on track and ready to move on with our renovation. We can't thank Tony enough!

I have used Fix It People on two occasions now and they are just amazing. This second time around, they had to patch up the bathroom wall (after my fiance tried to spackle himself!).There was some miscommunication with access into the building (I was not home) but Armando was so incredibly accommodating. He waited for an hour (on one of the coldest days in Chicago nonetheless) until I was available, and he did a fantastic job patching up all the holes, paint matching, and painting the wall to look absolutely flawless.HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!! Thank you, Armando!
