The plumber arrived on time and was very personable. We discussed prices and were able to narrow down the job to specifics since I was 100% sure where the clog was. I appreciated that he listened to me and was able to clear the clog quickly and efficiently.

Had an emergency at our business and the septic needed to be pumped. Called and they said they could pump that same day and would call when they had a truck available. In less than a half hour I received a call that a truck would arrive within the hour. It did and the gentleman was very professional and explained his service and did a professional and clean job. He also educated me on the septic tank we are using. I highly recommend this company!

We found out that our insurance would not cover the problem and after 4 plumbers came, gave an estimate, and suggested or next step, then NEVER responded... We contacted A-1.Jeremy came out, did his thing, found the leak, bypassed the main same backflowed the house and made it possible to clean our house, take showers, and use our own toilets.We have a long road ahead to a full repair, but are eager to work with A-1 moving forward.Oh, and by the way, our leak detection cost half the price of American Leak Detection. Mr. Rooter sent Adam to repair my toilet leak problem. I had a big mess on my hand and needed emergency service ASAP. The administrative assistant, Donna, was so gracious, kind, and understanding. She dispatched Adam so fast, he was almost at my house before I finished talking to Donna. Adam did a fantastic job... professional and neat. He knew exactly what to do. He completed the job very quickly and competently. The price was reasonable. And most of all, Adam wore his mask the entire time that he was in my home during this pandemic disaster. We had a small snafu with the City of Norfolk for my business. Some regulatory paperwork for a backflow valve got misfiled under the wrong address. Needless to say, it became a bit of an event when the Office of Cross Connections came in and wanted to shut off the water. Fortunately, AT Large was very responsive and handled the situation professionally, courteously, and promptly.

Mistakes happen, paperwork can get misplaced, etc. The important thing is making it right and being dependable when time is of the essence.

Jim Bertolino and Son replaced my leaking water heater in less than a day, from my call for help.

Jim Sr. arrived at my home, on time, reviewed the situation and explained my options. And when I say explained my options he didn’t just talk about Energy Efficiency, he enlightened me with the internal workings of the water heater, including electrical, plumbing code, heat settings, and answered all of my questions.

All costs were discussed upfront, and at the end of the installation there were no unexpected charges.

My water heater is located on the ground floor, under a stairwell. It’s not the easiest of locations to examine it for leaks, never mind to maneuver the water heater in and out of its location. However, Jim Sr. spent the time to ensure that the replacement was precise and a minimal inconvenience to the household.

Jim Sr. is without a doubt the leader of the team, and a hard working individual. He was courteous and proficient throughout the entire installation.

And now for the answer to the question you might ask. How do I like my new Water Heater? I love it. The temperature of the hot water is beyond expectation. It’s never been this hot, and I’m sure I won’t be using as much hot water because I now have to temper it with additional cold.
