Best Drain Leaks in Chesapeake VA

Susan D. Virginia Beach- Had a clogged kitchen sink since Christmas eve. Our home warranty company sent out a plumber from another company. He spent less than 5 minutes looking at it before trying to do something not covered by the warranty that would cost us an additional $275 on top of our $100 deductible. We sent him packing. We then contacted A1 plumbing. They gave us an estimate and we set up an appointment. The day of the appointment the gentleman who came to do the work took the time to actually look at the problem. He tried to get the clog cleared in different ways before determining that he would have to go up onto the roof. We were charged a lot less by A1 than the other company and the service we received was superior to theirs. We will definitely call A1 in the future if we have any other issues.

Very professional and easy service. The two man team arrived ahead of schedule. They assessed the problem, quoted me the price, and went straight to work. The water heather needed to be replaced. Their preparation was top notch and they cleaned up when they were done…you couldn’t tell they were here if I didn’t tell you. My appointment time was 1 to 4, they called at 11:20am, letting me know they would arrive early, and was finished by 2:30pm. I clicked, “save” in my contacts for go to contractors ;-)

2 of the 3 issues had to be repaired within 6 months by another plumber. This was about 4 years ago. This work was done by one of the brothers. Never again. The owner is questioning my review. I submit to him that his family is from Vermont. How would I know this if there were not a contact ?????

The city notified me that our water consumption was unusually high and it found no leak at my water meter. When I talked to a public utilities rep, it sounded like I had a water leak on my side of the meter, but last month's billing was based on an estimate and not an actual reading. I thoroughly checked all my appliances & fixtures - no leaks or evidence of leaks, but the ground over the main water line felt damp and spongy. I called Jim Bertolino Plumbing because he had done work for me before. He arrived at the end of a long day of work on Saturday and dug out 8 + or - feet of dirt over the main waterline. After finding dry soil covering the line and no significant loss of water pressure when he tested the house piping pressure, he concluded that there was no leak on my side of the water meter. He and his helper cleaned up the yard and left around midnight. Obviously I have issues with the City's public utilities, but I highly recommend him for any plumbing issues you may have.

We had a very good experience with Jack from A-1. We got a whole new system and he did all the work in one day. Which should have taken at least 2. Very satisfied with all the customer service and the products.
