I needed a garbage disposal replaced and Philbrick sent Randy to my home today. He was kind, friendly, respectful, and shared some maintenance tips also. Thank you Randy and the Philbrick team for doing an outstanding job!
Had an issue with my hot water heater. Tom and Camron came early to my delight. They were polite, knowledgeable and thorough. All is fine!!
So glad I called this morning. .thank you both. I will be sure to refer your company.

Avoid. Scheduled a estimate for Monday morning, they never showed or called. When I call them to ask why they didn’t show they claim they called to push the time. Never took a call, had a voicemail, missed call or was informed of this. Don’t waste your time, they clearly don’t value your time or money, look elsewhere.

Wasted time and gas to be told there were only two trucks on the lot. Two trucks Im not a fan of. Chevy Silverados.
We had Philbrick Plumbing come to our house several times over the past 2 months due to a cracked flange and water damage that we got as a result. The men were always right on time, very friendly, very professional and did great work. They were great with setting a quick appoinment when we needed them and called us when they were on the way. The tile guy that came to install the new flooring was very impressed with how the pvc pipe was raised up and capped off so that they could properly lay the tiling down evenly.
The gentlemen that came to install the toilet and the faucets did a great job and told me what he was doing each time before he did something. We missed the fact that the circle piece that goes on the wall by the toilet was rusting , he pointed it out and replaced it. I appreciate the fact that it was a rainy day and he put booties on his shoes . We had 2 other companies here for the remodel and they didn't do this and got mud on our brand new floors. I would highly recommend this company to friends and family, and already have.. I liked the fact they have been in business since the 1950's.. that says a lot ..

I highly recommend Philbrick Inc! We had an issue with our plumbing when baby wipes were flushed causing a major problem. Philbrick was contacted and immediately sent someone out to help. The technician was very informative and the problem was solved in a timely fashion. The process was very smooth and professional! We will certainly be contacting them again.... but this time it won't be for the same reason because I have learned my lesson! haha!

The gentlemen that came to our house for two bathroom remodels worked with us through scheduling conflicts and finished both bathrooms in a jiffy! The price was excellent and the work was outstanding! Even when we had a minor issue months later, they came right out and fixed it! Lee, John, and the amazing Father and son team took care of all our bathroom remodel needs and even put up with us changing our minds over and over again!
It's Labor Day weekend and we have no hot water. Called Philbrick and they sent out a plumber within the hour. John the plumber was professional and courteous and had our waterheater working in n time. Thanks, John!
Showed up on time, professional and did not try to upcharge or anything extra. Did thier job to clear a bad clog. Thank you!!

Philbrick Heating and Cooling replaced my downstairs ac/heat unit as my older one had a compressor that went bad and would have been too costly to repair. Replacing the entire system was a bit more than repairing the 9 year low quality unit, however the price includes a top of the line unit, an excellent parts, repair and labor warranty and will be approximately 30% more cost efficient.
Tim Hatfield provided excellent information on the pros and cons of repairing versus replacing. He was able to meet at my house in the evening time as that was the only way to accommodate my busy schedule. Tim was not at all a high pressure salesperson. Instead, he shared his expertise, was honest and took the time to explain about the differences in models, types of gas connections, and by the end of our meeting was able to provide me with a final install cost and financing incentives. Tim was able to schedule the install before he left my home.
The installers arrived promptly at their scheduled time, introduced themselves and quickly went to work. They removed the existing unit inside the garage and outside the house a replaced them with new units and installed and programmed a new digital thermostat. They worked from inside and under the house to replace the existing duct work to ensure maximum efficiency of my new unit.
When the installers completed the job, there was no sign of them being there. They removed all the old unit pieces, venting material and no debris was left inside my home or out.
Job well done Philbrick Heating and Cooling!! You have exceeded the expectations of this customer and I will continue to recommend you to everyone I know. Thank you for making my home air and heating comfortable again.

I had a pipe burst on Christmas Day I called this company to have them respond a technician cane stayed for about 90 minutes and could not unblock the stopwatch I was built $700 I called the manager And describe the issue he agreed I should not have paid the full amount if the problem still exists he stated he will look into it and call me back it is over a week now and I received no call back I've called several times and was unable to speak with the manager each time being told that he was out in the field and would call me back finally I got hold of the manager only by calling 1st thing when they opened again I was told he would look into it and call me back but he never did I ended up calling Michael and sons and they came to repair the problem at an additional $500 please stay away from philbrick if you value your money poor response and you will get charged and the work has not been done . After a little bit of delay the company made it right not to get me wrong they are the most polite people you ever want to meet but I just have some concerns and the communication but Dara made everything right. I will not let this deter me from using their services again but hopefully they can communicate more and a timely fashion
Quick service, polite repairmen (wore covers over their boots so as to not track in dirt), also was nice enough to look at 2 other problems I had (one with outdoor water spout which they fixed & the other problem was with my pool pump hose leaking (they don’t do pool repairs) overall they did a great job. Would highly recommend & will definitely call again when needed!

Extremely disappointed in the service, or shall I say lack of. We called on Sunday around 12pm and got the answering service; our heat went out during 20 degree weather. We never received a call back and no one came out. We called a second time around 5pm, still nothing. This was very disappointing and upsetting. Not sure where the ball was dropped but I sincerely hope no one else has to ever experience this.
I was looking for a new company I could trust and Philbrick has done great so far. They have been very honest and the service couldn’t have been better. They did maintenance beyond what I requested because “it was the right thing to do” and didn’t charge me. Steven showed up right on time and was extremely knowledgeable and thorough. I have found my long term A/C repair company for both of the homes I own in the area. Highly recommended.
Any experience we've had with Philbrick has been top notch! We recently had their electrician over to help us with an electrical problem and the two gentlemen came eager to help us in solving our issues and they did!! Thank you!!
Thomas was great; thorough, efficient, quick and complete. He was enjoyable to talk with; polite, patient with my questions, and instilling confidence. Thank you!

My entire experience with Philbrick from the technician and his team to the main office staff was exceptional. My technician was Courtney. He is friendly and quick to respond to all communication, educated me thoroughly on the entire process of moving my HVAC unit to another location at my house, and was efficient in completing the job. We were in a bind waiting for the unit to be moved so another project at the home could be completed and he was able to complete the work within 24 hours. I definitely recommend Philbrick and will be using for any needs going forward.

They're the best they stand behind all their work
They were fast to respond on our AC issue with great service.
My son-in-law requested a service call for a water heater pilot light issue. The charge was about $80. This is my understanding of the visit. The tech did not disassemble, inspect, or test anything. He checked the tank nameplate and said it was old (subjective) an could be replaced for about $2500. Or he could replace the burner for $400-500. I'm the family fix-it guy, although I don't have any gas water heater experience, so my son-in-law called for an opinion. So I did some research on my own. It appeared the thermocouple was the likely issue, so we did some more research, found the correct part number, bought one, and installed it ourselves for under $90 and in about 30 minutes. If Philbrick has tested the system and said they could replace the pilot assembly for a $150-$200, that would have been good service. But instead they said the equivalent of your car battery is dead so you need to buy a new car. Sure, a new tank would have solved the problem, but I would like to find a company that says here's your problem and here's some legitimate options for repair, not the most expensive option that really isn't needed.
The guys that came out to reset our toilet was and traced the source of our leak. Very professional and highly recommended.

I have used Philbrick on two occasions, on two different properties. The first time was great, this time was horrible and I will no longer use them, here’s why: The tech they sent out was extremely rude and unprofessional. He called me ahead of time to basically say he didn’t want to come look at my system because he didn’t think it was something he could fix. I said it would still be helpful for me just to get an idea of what the problem was. He comes to my house. Has his headphones in, doesn’t say a word to me, and could hardly even bear to shake my hand, clearly he did not want to be there. I showed him to issues with my hvac system, both of which he basically said he couldn’t do anything about, oh but he had no problem pulling out his card reader to collect that $80 diagnosis fee after spending 2 minutes in my home and providing zero insight into what was going on with my hvac system. When I called the office to ask for a refund, the office manager, who you will see mentioned in other terrible reviews (there’s a good reason for that), was rude and disrespectful. When I asked to get in touch with the owner, she said there was no owner? Really solid customer service on that one. When I challenged her on this, she said she would “absolutely not be giving us a refund” but would talk to the owner, who now apparently exists. Anyways, $80 is not the end of the world, but this is definitely the last time I’ll be calling this company. Save yourself the headache and call someone else.

I was trying to look for an available plumber today and they didn't have one. So I asked about tomorrow, they did have one available late in the evening. I asked her if I would be able to cancel if I found one today since that's what I really needed and she said absolutely not. What an awful way to run a business. I have no desire to do business with this company ever because of this.

I could not be more disappointed with the unprofessionalism and lack of integrity with this company. I had them do a total AC swap out. the 1 day quote became 2 days. They ended up falling through my ceiling. I had to call them back multiple times to get them to repair the ceiling damage, and it didn't happen for 3 weeks. There was a 1 year warranty, and when the system broke within a year, I called them. They acknowledged that there was no expense for a warranty repair. When they showed up, they said that the repair wasn't covered under warranty, tried to charge me $350 on site, I threw them out, then they mailed me an $80 bill for diagnosis of the system when I told them ahead of time what the problem was that they refused to fix. GO ANYWHERE ELSE. They said that they're sending the bill for not fixing my system under warranty to collections. -- After initial posting of this review, the owner of the company had his staff cancel the invoice and offer to do the warranty repair for free. He is a fair and honorable guy (interacted with him thrice, and always was a gentleman), but definitely doesn't erase my experience based upon the customer service of his staff.

Philbrick is a fantastic spot on company to work with. They PROMISED me cold ac in my office and they delivered their promise 100%. I was thoroughly impressed with their sales rep Tim. He really took the time to listen to our ac needs and configured my ac unit & new duct work according to the type of use my office has. They even came out on a Saturday for the install to not disrupt my customers and staff. All my other estimates wanted to do the work during business hours. I have zero complaints!!! Tim even followed up with us, stopping by on the hottest day of the summer and seeing how cool we were. I hugged him and said Thank you sooo much for listening to our needs!!!. I highly recommend Philbrick ! Todd & Sharri Owners- Vans of Great Bridge

My husband and I have been using Philbrick for about 35 years. HVAC, plumbing and they also installed our full house generator a couple of years ago. Anthony (HVAC man) is wonderful and my husband requests him for any HVAC call. Plumber Michael (with helper Chris), installed a new gas hot water heater (and a circulating pump) in January for us. I think Philbrick has gotten even better over the years! Michael was VERY professional and helpful. Very friendly and personable. They come in with little booties on (love that!!) and cover the floors, rugs, and stairs--the entire area, before beginning work. They left no mess. From a customer point of view, Philbrick's has a great employee in Michael. I recommend Philbrick to anyone that asks me about plumbing or HVAC needs. Thank you Michael and Chris for a job well done!!

Had an issue with my sewage grinder pump. Called Philbrick and after a few questions the professional office staff sent Eric over 15 minutes later; he was in my area. Eric quickly diagnosed and fixed my problem; very courteous and professional! Will definitely use Philbrick again for my plumbing needs.
I just want to say that I SO appreciate Philbrick and the great service that you provide. My parents have used Philbrick for over 40 yrs. Because I live out of town, I have a sense of comfort when something goes wrong and there is a need for a service call. I previously had a management position for a large (75+ service vehicles) HVAC/Plumbing/Electrical firm in DC in the past, so I have some industry knowledge. I always engage with your techs & phone reps when there is a need for service either in person if I am in town or over the phone when I am not. All your staff is very professional & your techs are very knowledgeable & courteous. Keep up the great work & we will never call anyone else!
We recently had two jobs done for us by Philbrick. Nick and Marcus handled both and did a great job both times. They were professional and thorough. They kept the work area neat and clean and cleaned up everything when they were finished. We highly recommend Philbrick for your plumbing, heating, cooling, and electrical needs.
We used them for putting in a hot water tank last year and they have done HVAC/ furnace checkups. We also had them clean our ventilation system and install air purification systems. They did seem high with some of their charges but we are willing to pay for good service. Well after we spent a total of approximately 7,000.00 to 8,000.00 On their Services in a year and a half’s time, they were not good to deal with. DARA , who handles a lot of things on the phone for their company was extremely rude, defensive, insulting and unprofessional. We were quoted a price quite clearly for a gas line to be capped off behind stove area and then when they came out to do the work wrote a ticket for over twice as much. They would not take responsibility for one of their employees misquoting us and Dara was terrible to deal with. The techs even told us the ticket has been written wrong and they had to change it. We will never use this company again and will steer folks clear of them. So unfortunate what unprofessionalism and a lack of business integrity and responsibility can do to a business’s reputation!
Called twice with an emergency, first time I guess the owner or guy decided he didn’t even want to come take a look at my issue. 2nd time the lady was rude as mess on the phone and wouldn’t actually listen to what I was trying to explain. Do not recommend them at all. Go to American mechanical, or even roto rooter.
I really enjoyed the level of professionalism with this organization. They work hard to be as transparent as possible while at the same time providing a high level of care to their customers. In one incident I needed service or atleast thought I did and they came out and consulted me on how much it would cost them to do it when all I needed to do was repair it myself at a fraction of the cost. They are honest and hard working people and will not rip you off! Great job Philbrick, keep up the good work.

This is a tough review to write because it will sound like I am either a family member or an employee but I am neither. Last week I noticed water dripping and a large tear on my bathroom ceiling. 2 hot water heaters are above in my attic. It was right after the week or 10 to 20 degree weather so I had no idea what to expect. I called you all at 8:40 and they had someone in the area. He showed up at 9:20 (less than an hour). He went in the attic and took several pictures of what was the cause. (I had 14 years of use on 8 year water heaters previously installed by Philbrick) I was given the estimate, ok'd the work to be done and then told it would be done later at 3 or 4 that day. In about 40 minutes another crew dropped off all the parts in my driveway. As I was moving a few items out of their way my cell phone rang. They had rearranged their day to take care of my emergency earlier and could be there around noon. It took 3 technicians 4-5 hours to replace both units and installing a new safety pan. All the tearing out and replacing was done without any issue. The guys were very carful moving everything around and we had hardly any cleanup to do...even with white carpet. I didn't even have to handle the old units. The guys did everything. I have repeated this many times and would HIGHLY recommend this company. I knew they were a good solid company but with this last job they are the BEST company. My wife and I thank you all very much.
Always good and timely service. Used many times.
Had a bad plumbing issue pop up this holiday weekend, called to get someone out. John S. called me within 15 minutes after I contacted the office. He was at my house fast and was able to fix the problem in no time.

This company came out to my home to do an inspection on my electrical work. I asked the representative to look at me glass fireplace and without doing an assessment he told me all I needed to do was to replace my logs....
Prior to him coming out I had two other companies to do an assessment on my fireplace and they both advised me not to use the fireplace because it had severe water damage and it needed to be replace.
While most people that will read this comment will probably say to themselves this company was trying to save money by making the recmendation that they did I could receive that recommendation IF they specialized in fireplaces but after I researched this company I was advise that they DO NOT speciize in fireplaces nor do they replace them unless they installed them which they stopped installing them years ago......
Beware of the recommendation you receive from this company especially if it pertains to fireplaces.

On July 9th, 2008 a mechanic from Philbrick, Inc came to my home to give me an estimate for replacing my water heater. The existing unit was branded “American” and had a ten year warranty but, although it was still functioning problem free, it was 13 years old and located in a walk-in attic so I felt that it was time to replace it because of the potential for water damage should it fail. The written estimate stated that they would replace the water heater and the pan beneath it for $850 and that the job would require one “mechanic” and one “helper”, with no charge for the estimate. I signed the work order on July 16th and on July 22nd they installed a Rheem 50 gallon, gas WH with a six year warranty. I have receipts which represent all of these facts except the identity of the unit which was replaced.
Fast forward five-and-a-half years to the first week of February 2014. The house is now rented and the tenants call our property manager to say that the water heater has a dripping leak. When the property manager called to inform me, I told him that the unit was installed by Philbrick in 2008, just in case that might have some influence on the warranty. The property manager then called Philbrick and told them that he did not need an estimate, to just do the job. Philbrick sent a mechanic to the house to evaluate the situation on February 6th, on the 7th, three men returned to do the work. I was subsequently billed $1520.
I called Philbrick on February 18th to question the bill and to ask for an itemization. They said they could not warranty the old unit because the warranty was completely used up when the original unit was replaced in 2008. They claimed that the unit they removed in 2008 was also a Rheem and that it had failed, even though their receipt does not indicate that. They also said that the $850 was for labor and the metal pan and that three men are required when a unit is located in an attic, even though the estimate specifies two men. The best indication that the previous water heater had not failed, and therefore could not have been submitted under warranty regardless of manufacturer, is that two weeks elapsed between my original call to Philbrick and their subsequent installation of a new water heater. I certainly would not have spent two weeks without hot water. They did agree to return $125 which they charged for the assessment visit which they referred to as a “courtesy adjustment”. The itemized bill merely broke out an item for $400 which was described as “labor in attic for more than two men”. Philbrick says that they NEVER itemize labor and materials for any job nor will they discuss what their labor rate is.
From this, a potential Philbrick customer can take away some truths about their business practices. First, if given the opportunity to triple what they charge for labor over their competitors, they will do that. Second, they are willing to misrepresent warranty circumstances to improve their bottom line. And last, that one should never do business with any company that will not itemize labor and materials.
They are always prompt and friendly. Get the job done the first time.

John can out and did amazing work! I always trust his work and the Philbrick team!
Monday (afternoon) April 1, 2019 - We thought the stopper was fixed, it isn't. $145.00 wasted.
Monday, April 1, 2019 Another two people showed up, not knowing Robert had been here already. SMH.
Monday, April 1, 2019 - Robert fixed the problem as originally requested. Thank you for educating me about the problem and better ways to handle it. I appreciate that. We will continue to monitor the situation.
Thursday, March 28, 2019 - Get a simple job right the first time.
If you guarantee your work and you've accepted the payment, you should do the job right the first time.
Clearing hair out of a drain wasn't the job.
Rushing in 8 minutes, wasn't the job.
You were asked to fix the drain and stopper so that the water would stay in the sink when required.
Where was the stopper work?
Now, we have to wait days for the correction to be done because no one was available to fix the rush job.
I hope this shoddy work isn't how you normally treat elderly customers.
See you soon.
I'll be there to review your work this time.
Nick and Drew were excellent! They provided fast and thorough service, as well as much needed education regarding my plumbing. More importantly, Vera, Office Manager, was willing to help me get same day service despite my inability to pay on the same day!! Thank you Philbrick for managing all of my needs
Many thanks to Nick and Marcus who installed my new water heater Monday, February 25, 2019. They were efficient, professional, and courteous. They are an asset to your company.
These people are HORRIBLE I signed a contract with them to service my hvac system. They came out to service it as soon as they left water started coming in from the ceiling the drain was stopped up. They came back out supposedly fixed it. A week later the same thing again They came out again supposedly fixed it again. Well another week later the same thing again. So they tell me they need a plumber to come out this was on Thursday but , he's not available until Monday I let it go until then all this time I'm without my ac. Monday this old man with a cane comes out just to tell me he has to get a tech out here REALLY because the drain is stopped up WELL I've been telling them that. The tech comes out and said the same thing and left. I've been calling and they keep telling me the supervisor is working on it and another day has gone by with no ac. I hope they don't get another job to do for anyone. I wouldn't let them work on my bicycle RUN DONT USE THEM unless you want to waste your money!!!!!!!!!
I love the consistent and courteous service from Reggie. Great service and always kind/

Outstanding experience. Great people, great service, high quality work!!
We have used this business for many years and sorry to say that this will be the last. They came out to repair a clogged sewer drain and said it was fixed. One day after it was still not fixed after paying $400 for the repair. So we called to have them come back out ...spoke to Dara who was very unprofessional on the phone and said she was in charge while the owner was on vacation. Refused to help in any way. We have never experienced such treatment from this business in all the years we have used them. Owner finally called back after two weeks and refuses to come out and fix what they didn't repair the first time and said he would charge us again. This used to be a great family run business which we recommended to lots of people. We will not be referring friends/family to this business any longer.

They have been wonderful about showing up and doing the work request. We had a major issue in November, 2018. It took several days to correct, but they got the problem fixed.
While I expected only a routine check-up yesterday, I received more; a thorough explanation of what was done, what preventative I could do, and what improvements Philbrick could offer me. Courteous and on-time, I felt like this was a professional looking after his own home. Thank you

Very knowledgeable and helpful.
Fast, friendly, professional service! They'll get all my heating, cooling, and plumbing business from now on
Philbrick employees were friendly, professional and readily answered any questions we had. They arrived on time and finished their work without delays.

Called for services and the women I spoke to was extremely rude and seemed to undermine my intelligence, will be using someone else.
In the past, I have used Philbrick; they were the company that installed my AC/Heating Unit. However, I recently contacted them due to needing AC Repair; therefore I contacted them and left a message regarding this issue. However, no one called me back. After waiting for approximately 17 hours, I called them to check the status and was informed that they don't deal with Warranty Companies, which is not the issue, the issue is that they should have been more professional and at least responded to my call. Once I called, their response was I'm Sorry; which if they had returned my call, I could have looked for another repair company to do the job. I highly recommend that their Customer Service be more responsive, an Asset for any successful business.
Very Poor Customer Service! - All it would take is a phone call. We had Philbrick install a heat and A/C system in the early 90's so when it needed replaced we called them again. The new and improved Rheem system has had to be worked on at least 5 times in 5 years, with the latest being a replacement of the cooling coil (under warranty). My real issue is they have been a No Show to appointments Twice! Back in December we set an appointment - I took a day off work (no pay) and they didn't show. When called they had scheduled the appointment a week later. Yesterday they were to be there at 0830 for 3 hours - 9:00 we call them and they tell us a job had run over from the day before, but the could be there between 12 and 2:00. OK I will take a whole day off again (no pay) so I can get my A/C fixed. At 1:30 I call them and they tell me the technician will be there by 2:00, at 3:00 he pulls in my driveway. Not 1 call was initiated by Philbrick to let me know they would be late - I could have gone to work and left early had I known they were not coming until 3 PM. To top it all off - my under warranty repair cost me $437 after their we are very sorry 10% discount.

We had John Shelburne as our technician and he was fantastic to work with. He was honest, helpful and made us feel that we chose the right company to help us for our emergency call on Labor Day weekend. Not only was he quick with his work, but he gave us insight on how to service and maintain our water heater and what to expect next for our next service that we will need. I hope we’re able to get him again for our next plumbing technician.
I called Philbrick before the holidays and scheduled an appointment this morning. They were very nice and professional. The service charge I was told was $79.99 over the phone and that was lower than other companies. I had a slow outside spigot leak. Everything was fine until I received the bill for almost $600! I do not have the invoice yet but will be reviewing carefully. I was expecting $200 to $300 plus the service charge. I should have ask for an estimate beforehand so shame on me. Is this the going rate to replace a hose bib? I am in shock! The techs were very nice but….make sure to ask for a quote!
I would like to give a shout out to Randy. He was sent out to do some plumbing work for us and let me tell you he was awesome! We chatted while he was working all the while very meticulous about his work. He made sure I understood everything he had done and made sure I knew what I needed to know. I recommend him and Philbricks for a job well done!
