These guys were life savers. We had a major repair that was caused from our foundation settling. It cracked our sewage pipe, and had was leaking from the exterior, and starting to get in the basement. They were very understanding of urgency (and cost) and had it fixed that same day! They dug a 4 foot hole, jack hammered out my current connection, and had it fixed and repaired by the end of the day (around 7 pm). They sent out extra resources just to make sure it was completed on time.

They are also one of the few companies who will come out without an initial charge. I've had them come out before and they were upfront and honest about what I could do myself to save a few bucks.

We were having issues with our outlets tripping. Reyes came out and was able to trouble shoot the cause and fix it. That's the simple explanation, but we had the outlets replaced by another company and they kept having issues. He was able to actually fix our problem. On time and very professional, would definitely use again.

We use Jim Dickerson Plumbing and Electrical for any issue we have. They were recommended to us when we first moved to the Charlotte area and we have been pleased with the quality and professionalism of their team for all we have had done to our home. In this instance, Zack was dispatched to fix a leaky faucet. It turned out to be a little more than that when he dug into the problem. Of course, he fixed the issue and the underlying cause. He explained everything and took care of our issue quickly and professionally. We continue to be pleased with all the work from their team and especially, in this case, Zack. We will continue to call on the Jim Dickerson team for all of our plumbing and electrical needs.

My neighbors recommended Tony with high praise. He provided much needed plumbing and electrical services that were timely, professional and fairly priced. I was especially appreciative of the time he took to explain what was needed and why. I have learned a lot and consider him the best of the best! Jack communicated in a timely fashion, updating me via text before he arrived and when he needed to leave and get more parts. He went above and beyond in the repair job: Not only fixing the issue in a timely fashion but even installing a few extra clips to hold a loose line in place unrelated to the job at hand, free of charge. Really appreciated his knowledge, professionalism, and timeliness.

Unfortunately I did not have a great experience with American Leak Detection of Charlotte. We had a leak of unknown source and my plumber recommended them. Their regular guy was out sick so they sent 2 guys out who must not have been competent. I watched them closely because I was paying $700 up front and wanted to know how this works. They took a long time and finally decided on a spot and marked it and then left behind a part of their machine. We called the plumber to dig. He dug 4 feet and no sign of water. I called ALD and they insisted that they dig to 6 feet. This required a big machine and at 7 feet still no leak was found. I called ALD again & they acted like I was not telling them the truth. Finally they agreed to try again and sent out their regular guy who quickly found it in a VERY DIFFERENT location where the 2 original guys had not checked. This mistake cost us an extra $1000 dollars & created a HUGE hole in our front yard.
The address on their website is not real, I went there to return the machine part and discuss this situation and no one at the address had heard of them. This does not sound like a legitimate business to me. I have not received an apology nor any offer of compensation. It seems crazy that they can make a huge mistake that costs ME 1K and there isn't any way to hold THEM accountable. So this review will have to do and hopefully someone else will be able to find a company offering better terms.

I used this company to repair a corner post of siding where it was cracked and broken. Mr. Lawrence Hall was the representative of the company that came out and did an exceptional job for me. Mr. Hall was very professional and his knowledge and skill set was superb. Mr. Hall explained the process very well and did an amazing job! I highly recommend Mr. Lawrence Hall for the job if you need something done at your home!
