My home warranty company secured IRV PLUMBING to replace an inoperative sink disposal unit. Each person I dealt with at IRV was pleasant, responsive and helpful. The plumber was on time and completed the work to my satisfaction. I was very happy with the way IRV handled a few complications which arose from communication errors going from the warranty company, IRV and myself. They really were focused on ensuring that I, the customer, was satisfied with the outcome, which meant a great deal to me. It’ been several months now and I haven’t had any problems with the work. Excellent experience working with IRV. The initial call was to determine the root cause. I than had to do some electrical work to eliminate blockers and than have IRV come back out. They did a flush and installed my WiFi meter and everything is working as expected.I appreciated the confidence with their ability to fix the issue without feeling as if I was being upsold on things.I also loved the customer support. Such a good job of communicating and remembering me when I called back. Very good experience there when others were very bad!!

I have to speak about my service tech. My service tech was named Anthony He was courteous. He was smart. He was most respectful and most of all he enlightened me on the things that were wrong with my unit. He tried to get the parts it's quickly as possible. I would recommend IRV to anyone I read the reviews good and bad but the good I waved the bad and they are 100% better than (GSM)

They are very professional, work with schedule to arrive at convenient times. They are fast with repairs and getting parts. They also give photo of the work truck and person who will be coming to your home. This was the first time in using this company so the photos helped. Great company!

A perfect example is Matthew, who was recently in our home to make electrical repairs. A bit like having a good friend stop by to help out.Most recently Matthew returned to do our HVAC maintenance. If you are enrolled in the service agreement IRV tracks maintenance, calls when it is due and then send someone to provide this service. This is so helpful because it is just one less thing to worry about...IRV does it for you and at no additional cost. IRV and Matthew get 5 stars. Our home is an Historic Landmark and IRV is who we trust for our plumbing, electrical and HVAC!

Had Jason and Camilo come out today to check out our heater, guys were awesome. Need a new heater but the service and clean up of these guys was top notch, I worked plumbing and as a supervisor these are the guys you’d want on a call.

DO NOT HIRE FOR ELECTRICAL WORK. We had IRV come out to install a brand new panel. They were not permitted or inspected. We have a second option and all work would not pass inspection. Nothing we updated to code. Wires were double tapped. Our 2nd option stated some fuses put in were no longer even in circulation and had no clue where IRV even got them from. This is a safety risk for me, my family, and my property.

We had an awful experience w 1st Choice Plumbing and insisted our home warranty send another company. Luckily, they sent us IRV. Malik has been so lovely to work w/ as well as the Front Desk staff. Malik came twice to our house- each time he was on point, on time, professional, and efficient. He even answered questions we had about the work that 1st Choice Plumbing did, he noticed they didnt set up our water heater correctly, and he fixed it which wasnt even related to the problem Malik was called to do. Most importantly, they charged us what was quoted at the beginning of the job. The price didnt change halfway into the job or after it was done. They stuck to their word. These comments might seem basic, but we found out the hard way w 1st Choice plumbing that qualities Malik showed are not to be taken for granted. IRV is raising the bar compared to what other plumbing companies are doing. We will definitely be calling IRV for any future plumbing concerns.

Everyone from the appointment planner who called, Matthew,who showed up to access, and Jason, who did the actual installation and removal of the old furnace, were professional, informative, polite and friendly. Needless to say, we are happy to have heat again and it is working wonderfully. Thank you so much.

Tahleek and Malik were the Service Techs. They were amazing, they were on time and dependable. They did not take any breaks or time off from. The job. We would highly recommend them for any service.

Our service man was Malik. He was very professional, answered all of my questions, and completed the work very satisfactorily. He checked the system to ensure the water heater was working before leaving.

Tony is my gas lantern hero!He fixed our gas lanterns and even showed us how to maintain them to prevent future issues. He was very professional, kind and knowledgeable! This is a big deal for us because someone else told us the lanterns couldn’t be repaired and they’d have to be replaced.

We were having issues with our outlets tripping. Reyes came out and was able to trouble shoot the cause and fix it. That's the simple explanation, but we had the outlets replaced by another company and they kept having issues. He was able to actually fix our problem. On time and very professional, would definitely use again.

Tony came out to have my water heater replaced and he did a great job! He had a problem getting an undamaged unit (shipping issue) from the home improvement store but was never frustrated with the situation. He explained everything to me intelligently and throughly. He even came out on his day off on Saturday to make sure that my young kids could take a warm bath. I would recommend IRV Plumbing and Tony to my friends and family!

IRV was great! Fixed the problem, had a very tall ladder, stayed in communication throughout. All that at a fair price.

Because they showed up. The verdict is not out yet about the service overall. Waiting to hear back from company as far as part being ordered and any additional cost. Don't know how knowledgeable the tech was; he showed me the heat blower switch and told me it was the gas valve controller. I have been researching my issue for sometime and had some knowledge of parts and possible issue according to what I was experiencing. We will see , we will see.

They installed several replacement light fixtures, replaced an outlet, and added a whole house surge protector. On the plus side, the guy was polite and able to provide an estimate without delay. One the negative he (1) put in an 2-gang outlet with 1 white and 1 beige outlet; (2) did a messy job cutting the openings for the recessed lights that will require extra mudding and prep before painting; and (3) worst, he botched up the install of the surge protector by gnawing up the edge of the metal cover to the main box and overlapping the surge protector trim over the main trim at a bizarre angle. Let me add that our main is in the hallway, not hidden in a closet. I asked IRV to send someone else out to fix this mess but they insisted on sending the same guy out. I wanted a clean install of the surge protector and a new cover for the main. He leaves to get a new cover for the panel. Couldn't get a new panel cover (it is from the 1960s and its 8pm). So he has sawed off the edge of the cover. He would have installed that complete with the sharp burred edge if I had not checked and made him go grind it (sort of) smooth. Hope what I can't see (wiring in the wall/ceiling) is better than what I can see.

Matthew was very qualified. He assessed the problem with my HVAC unit right away. He submitted the work order with complete details to HOMESERVE, he ordered the parts and installed them. He was very professional and answered all of the questions that I asked while doing the repair. IRV is very blessed to have Matthew as an employee and a supervisor. Thank you Matthew ?

Paid a little extra getting the tank from them instead of purchasing my own for them to install. But liked the peace of mind of not only the work but the tank being covered if any issues arrive. Service Technician was professional and courteous. He was able to find the problem with my gas logs. Unfortunately he did not have the needed parts to get my gas logs up and running again.Update:The back ordered parts took until mid March to come in. I was not notified when they came in and it was by chance that when I called for an update on when the replacement parts might be in that I found that that the replacement parts had been delivered to them.We set up a time for Anthony Williams who I really like and is very professional in how he presents himself to come out and install the new parts and rebuild the burner for my gas logs.It was over an hour and a half after the appointment time when I called to make sure I had not misunderstood the appointment time and was told the Anthony should arrive with in the hour.Anthony arrived completed his repair to the gas logs.After a while my wife and I noticed a smell and I thought it was the paint smell from where he had painted part of the gas burner cover. The next day the smell had gotten worse and we called the gas company to come out and check to see what the problem might be. The gas company tech found a gas leak that was the the problem. It seems there was a fitting that was either cross threaded or was not sealing and was what was causing the gas leak.The gas company tech fixed the issue and we have not had any problems. I have Home Serve insurance through the gas company and IRV Plumbing has the contract for repairs when they are needed.

I had to contact IRV Plumbing cause I had brown water and needed to replace my galvanized pipes with PEX piping. Chris came out and was very informative and helpful on how to fix the problem. Got an appointment scheduled for the next week, Mark and Omar came out and repaired my main water line to my house and they were great! They were efficient, helpful, and friendly if I had any questions about my new piping. I would recommend them to work on anyone’s water pipes. I would recommend this company to anyone, they were great to work with!

Randy came today to finish the job. He is the most knowledgeable and professional person who has worked on this problem.

IRV shysters! They were sent by Home Services to repair/replace my water heater. Instead 60 minutes were spent trying to convince me I needed additional upgrades that was necessary which I did not need and I didn’t agree too. IRV was leaving and I had to ask him to at least plug the water leak which he did and them he leaves telling me I will hear from someone within two weeks. So… I get calls from two different IRV persons the next day telling me I have to “commit to pay $1640 for other services before water heater is replaced”. I refused the scam and my water heater will not be replaced by IRV.

Mr Robert was professional in every way in fixing the problems with the water heater as well as being very kind and courteous. IRV customer service was very responsive to all my calls and questions and did everything and more than promised. Hope not to have to see Mr Robert again, but if necessary I hope they send him.

Came out through my warranty company for a leaking shower. Plumber was knowledgeable and able to diagnose the problem and determine the water pressure was high. I did have to show the PRV valve was not maintaining a pressure, and he had to go get parts. Once he got the parts, he replaced the PRV valve and shower cartridge. Both were professionally installed, clean, and no mess left behind! My son even noted that the shower facet turns so much easier now!

He came out in one day and knew immediately what the problem was. I had been dealing with American Heating and Air for about a month they kept telling me nothing was wrong with my AC and that it was just so hot outside that the temperature was going up because of the heat, so when my air got up to 80 I knew something wasn’t right but I knew this way before it got to 80.AHA can never come back out. ** I have edited this review and reduced the number of stars to add the following: While the initial, job was great (we thought) a week later once it rained we found out that they did not fill the trench they dug up, they just brushed in some mud and put hay over it. My husband found it when he sank into the yard while pushing our wheelbarrow. I called IRV plumbing and no one has ever responded to me about fixing this massive trench they have left in my yard. In my original review, you will see that I thought they had taken care of everything, but we later found out that they did not really do anything but mask the trench they dug up. While the initial service was great, I am disappointed they left something so potentially dangerous in my yard and never called me back about it.Ivan and Chris were amazing! They were so fast and responsive- we had a major leak in our front yard and they were quick to Diagnose the problem and make plans to repair it. Leon came To also help with the repair and I was also very impressed with his service. Chris and I then left my driveway in perfect condition. They cleaned up behind themselves play straw and hay on the area of my yard that had been dug up. Also if you call for service I hope you get Kate on the phone! She was wonderful to deal with as well. There are not a lot of service companies that I feel like I can highly recommend but this one I do

Service was completed fine but communication from this company is terrible. I have a rental property with tenants living there, so I informed the receptionist that I want them to call/update me (the owner). For both the initial service call/diagnosis and repair (2 different appts), no one ever called me to let me know what the actual problem was or when it was actually fixed. I just got a call from the main office letting me know that I need to pay the bill, but that person knew nothing about what the technician actually did - other than saying “uh…yes he fixed it”. Maybe the technician told my tenants but I don’t think it’s too much to have the technician actually call the owner, as requested. So apparently “it’s fixed” but I really have no idea since I never really got the details. Seems like they’re more worried about getting paid than ensuring the customer that the problem is actually fixed.

Kenneth arrived on time & stayed until issue was resolved on 2 occasions for our AC units. Great, friendly, trustworthy. This was my 1st experience w/ IRV, will definitely keep them as my #1 repair company. Jennay was so pleasant & helpful on the phone too!

IRV Plumbing came by way of my home warranty company. They responded immediately and arranged for my appointment quicker than I was ready to actually receive them (was headed out of town for the weekend).Chuck, the technician, was very professional and knowledgeable about the system. Great plumbing company to work with! I got quotes for a pretty complex job, but IRV was able to make suggestions that worked out great for me and brought my cost down! I will only call IRV plumbing for any future plumbing needs. And their customer service is the best - they are proactive before visits and follow-up afterwards. All-around exemplary service.

I used IRV to repair the sewer pipe. Tony did the whole job. He is an expert plumber, very knowledgeable, very helping. There were couple of cracks on the driveway since they used a tractor for digging but Tony came back and fixed those cracks. I will give him all stars for his work. I wasn’t happy with the HVAC services. They had to remove one HVAC unit to clear the area to replace the sewer pipe. But when the HVAC tech guy came back to replug the unit back it didn’t go well. He was working 4-5 hrs for 2 days but couldn’t get it fixed. We were without an a/c for 10 days. Luckily the weather was nice. Finally the company sent the other HVAC tech Brian who knew the exact problem and he fixed it. The manager Melissa was very helping and tried her best. The staff is also very friendly. The only problem is miscommunication. I will use this company for plumbing but not for HVAC. And for a plumbing problem I will always ask for Tony. He is the best.

Tony came out to our house in Pineville to help diagnose an issue with our gas fireplace. We got a call on Monday to set up an appointment and he was able to come out the next day to make repairs. Tony was upfront and honest about the work that needed to be done and the potential costs. He took the time to explain everything he was doing and you could really tell he was passionate and knowledgeable about what he was doing. He got our fireplace working and we couldn't be any happier with IRV. Definitely recommend!

Kenneth did a wonderful job at my house. He was very polite, and thorough. And he spent a good amount of time cleaning my outside unit. It was much dirtier then I had ever imagined. And when he was done it was sparkling clean. He even had to take it apart to do a good job. I would recommend him without reservation.

Tony did a great job diagnosing my problem (pressure reducer failed so my water pressure was too high causing leaks at the outdoor spigot). He suggested several possible solutions with different cost points. He performed the work and was very polite and professional.

Jeremiah was fantastic. He came to clean and tune up our gas fireplace. He was an enjoyable person to have in our home, which matters a lot to me as a customer. In addition, he was thorough, knowledgable and because of that I felt a lot of trust in the quality of work he provided us. I was a little less impressed in the office and believe they could have done a much better job of: conveying a sense of confidence that they really are experienced at this particular service; setting appropriate expectations regarding the cost. I spoke with two different people and still just barely kept the appointment. Had any other company been available, I would have cancelled and gone with another provider. It was, indeed, much more than I'd expected based on the average market price for that service. However, again, I believe that I received better than average service from Jeremiah. This alone is enough to make me a repeat customer next year.

KG came out to service several small plumbing concerns - he was fantastic and really made us believers in IRV Plumbing. This was our second attempt to get these concerns rectified - the first go around with a competitor felt like we were just getting sold, even to the point of being recommended that we repipe the whole house for ~ $10K. Hmmmm.So we called IRV and were very happy. The work was performed well, KG the tech was very thorough and explained, tested, and ensured that the job was completely done to our satisfaction before departing. Highly recommend IRV Plumbing - I can't speak to the other services they provide, but would certainly give them a shot based on our plumbing experience.

We recently found out we had several gas leaks at our home and we called IRV Plumbing to do the repairs because we had used them before for plumbing issues and they did an amazing job! Fixing the leaks and testing for any other leaks was a multi day process that involved long hours each day at our house and the technician they sent out, Tony Williams, made the entire ordeal pleasant and painless. He could not have been nicer but not only that, he is extremely knowledgeable and informs you every step of the way what he is doing and why. He was professional and courteous from start to finish, never once complaining or asking for anything. He worked 8+ hours at our house 3 days in a row without taking a break, was always on time and cleaned up every day any mess he had made. He was always smiling and pleasant even though he had to be exhausted and his work was impeccable! At the end we had heat and hot water and our gas appliances and fire logs worked with no problems. We now feel safe thanks to Tony and another kind and professional technician that came out to help one afternoon, Leon Carver. IRV should be so proud to have technicians like Tony and Leon who go above and beyond to do an excellent job because they care about their customers. The plumber was unable to finish the job on the first visit. He had to return more than once. My scheduled appointments were cancelled and rescheduled three times. During the first visit, the plumber dropped the top to the toilet tank and broke it. He’s trying to find another top. The other option is installing a newtoilet bat their expense. However, the plumber here last indicated there could be a problem installing the new toilet. I told him to STOP and to find me a top to the tank…

I’ve had no issues using these guys over the last few years. The staff is friendly, prompt, and skilled. They have resolved all my issues whether plumbing or electrical. Most recently was an issue when installed two ring doorbells and the chime wouldn’t ring for one of them. Jose recommended changing out the transformer and we were back in business.9/28/2020. Mike was awesome and easy to work with. He installed my new toilet with ease and jokes. I couldn’t put in a new review but IRV is my go to for repairs electrical and plumbing because they are great.

I am not easy customer, but I had a great experience with IRV and their technicians and office staff. My HVAC was about 20 years old. That’s why I decided to replace it. I spoke with Richard, he sent two of his technicians to inspect my HVAC. After they did the inspection they took the time out to answer all my questions. He was very patient and knowledgeable with me. He was able to send me estimate prices on several different options. When I checked other prices for competitor companies, IRV had the best price hands down. They saved me thousands of dollars. I am so impressed with how responsive the company is, they always answer the phone in a timely manner and answer my questions. I’ve never had such Great experience with any service company than I had with IRV. I would like to thank the IRV tehnician and the office team, they helped make my household happy and cool again. My experience with IRV has been top-notch. Scheduling was easy and convenient. Chuck, our technician, arrived promptly at the beginning of our appointment window. He confirmed what he was going to assess during his appointment. After his inspection, Chuck talked through what he found by providing explanations for recommendations and course of action. All of his notes were typed up, which he sent after the appointment. This was very helpful. I felt no pressure to act immediately or that I was forced into any agreement.I will highly recommend IRV based on my experience.

Another fantastic experience with IRV. They have been great every time we have used them over many years. They came out the day after I called them for our (non-emergency) issue. Had it scheduled for two business days later and knocked out a big job within a few hours. Their folks are always kind and courteous, hard working and do a great job. I called IRV to reinstall kitchen plumbing after a kitchen upgrade. I have nothing but excellent feedback. My plumber was professional, informative, experienced, and friendly. We had a terrible experience with this company. Our tech said he needed to order a part in the middle of December and gave us an estimated 7 business day. I called at the beginning of January and the part was never ordered. The communication in this company is terrible, I had to call frequently just to get my own updates. No one ever reached out to us, they put in NO effort to help expedite the process, they are inconsiderate of people when it’s freezing and we have no heat to stay warm. Will never do business with this company nor recommend them.

I am definitely pleased with the outstanding service I received from technician Chuck. He came out to my home on a service call on 11/07/2019. He took a look at the heating system and researching the issue. After leaving him to do his work, which didn't take all day he took the time to show me what the problem was and then educated me on my heating unit. Now my family will be warm again. He also gave me a brochure that provided me with more information with possible plan options so that I wouldn't have to worry about future issues. This was our first time using IRV Plumbing & Electric and they really impressed us! Denna recorded our information correctly and got us scheduled quickly. Really pleased with ease of setting up and getting an appointment with IRV Plumbing & Electric to service our outdoor gas lanterns. Jeremiah arrived on time and was very knowledgeable and professional. He serviced our three outdoor gas lanterns, which haven't been working properly since we moved into this home. The first company that tried to service the lights was not able to get them working. The technician explained the various steps required to light the lanterns, as well as how to turn them off and some safety measures for the lanterns since they are tied to an electrical switch. It was a good experience and I was pleased with the service, the price, and the time it took to get an appointment.

Tony W did an excellent job on installing a new water tank over the weekend. Very professional and knowledgeable young man. He was able to complete the job in a timely manner. We can’t say enough how great the service was.

To say I felt cheated by this company was an understatement…I scheduled a service call to fix my tankless water heater that was no longer providing hot water consistently. They scheduled a technician who specialized in tankless water heaters to arrive to my home on Thursday the 10th with a two hour window. I scheduled a vacation day away from work to get hot water restored to our home. Unfortunately, the technician never showed up and I didn’t even receive a courtesy phone call from IRV to let me know that the tech would not be coming. I called several hours past the missed appointment window and they dispatched another tech however he wouldn’t arrive until after 5pm. The technician that arrived did not know much about tankless water heaters and was not prepared to work in it. It was as if they just sent someone to show face as they missed the appointment already. He simply asked me if I had cleaned it since it was installed which I answered no. His diagnosis was that the unit needed to be cleaned first before doing any further work and he proceeded to charge me $157 for the “diagnosis” and said that I would have to schedule another day to get the unit cleaned. This one question could have been asked when I called in for the appointment. This is also a simple 45 minute fix which I would have expected to be preformed while he was here at my property.Two days following I finally received the quote for the cleaning which was $530. This put the total cost of the cleaning at $692!!! The cleaning only requires a $15 descaler solution that is pumped through the flush valves of the unit for half hour. In addition, two small filters are cleaned (air and water) which take two minutes each. From start to finish this repair only took me 45 minutes to do myself. With a fully burdened labor cost of roughly $60-75 an hour and $15 of material cost (descaler solution) I felt like this company was taking advantage of the home owner. I am in the construction business and am fully aware on the total burdened cost for an employee in the service arena. This was essentially a 700% markup over the companies cost. I understand companies have markups and need to make profit however this was beyond excessive. Buyer beware, avoid this company at all cost as they will try to rip you off for such an easy fix!

I hired IRV to inspect and clean my gas fireplace based upon my parents recommendation. IRV exceeding my expectations. Tony arrived on time. He asked several questions prior to beginning work and informed me of any findings throughout the job. He rearranged the logs because they were stacked incorrectly. Replaced the rocks left by the previous owner with embers, and cleaned the system. It is nice (and rare) to find a business whose employees are genuine, provide service with integrity, and are professional. If you have any doubts on whether you should use them, trust me... give them a try!

Jeremiah Miller came out this morning from IRV Plumbing for an issue with our gas fireplace. He was exceptionally qualified and efficient and fixed everything in a timely manner! Great to find out they can do everything and offered us coupons for future work and service plans. Will definitely be using them again and highly recommend.

I had been shopping fireplace replacement for a while. A few competitors came to the house and took measurements but never followed up. I was referred to IRV and specifically Garry. Garry came to my home the following day. He was very personable and really cared about what we wanted. Garry gave me an estimate that day while still at my home. We agreed to do business and he said it would be about a week to get the parts and get on the schedule. To my surprise, I got a call a couple hours after Garry left to schedule my installation for the following day. The fireplace looks great and we got all the features we wanted for a very fair price. I highly recommend this company.UPDATE: I used IRV for a clogged pipe in my kitchen that another guy couldn't solve. Leon arrived early and solved the problem in about an hour. I am a customer for life. Good job IRV!

Extremely responsive as well as professional. Our technician, KG, did a fantastic job! He ensured that both the sink and the shower were in perfect condition prior to leaving and you could tell that he truly wanted the issues resolved properly.

Tony did our natural gasLeak. He not only found the leaks but change piping, valves to code that took all his day. He left our home about 9 PM! He wouldn't stop until all the work was done, done right. Being a handyman myself, I would steal him to work for my company if I wasn't retired. He's a teacher at his company and it shows. Everything was installed better then new. I'm not sure about the other techs but this one will make a great name for the company. He was also respectful of our property and home. Good guy! IRV completed work at our home (on our fireplace) back in November. We had some concerns with that work which needed to be addressed. A supervisor by the name of Leon came out to our home and performed some additional work to try to correct the issue. He was professional, knowledgeable and provided excellent customer service!! Yesterday I had the pleasure of speaking with the new Office Manager, Melissa, who was able to provide a final resolution to the situation today. Once Melissa was made aware of the outstanding issue from November she sprung into action and was able to quickly get it resolved - she had it taken care of in less than 24 hours! Because of the service we personally received from Leon and Melissa I would highly recommend IRV!!!

My 1st experience with IRV began 10 days ago. For Plumbing and Electrical work. Danny was very helpful and knowledgeable with our electrical issues. Tony the Master Plumber has a special level of expertise that proved to be extremely helpful and knowledgeable with our major plumbing issues. And that was during the assessment. The follow up to the assessment was handled by Tony as well. He handled all of our plumbing issues and concerns and preventive maintenance care. He could tell that we were at our wits end and needed the extra knowledge and help to prevent and maintain a healthy plumbing system. If you have ANY plumbing issues and require a specialist I strongly recommend IRV and request TONY the master plumber.I can't leave out Melissa in the office she took ownership of the situation and walked us through the whole process.

A gas leak was detected by Piedmont Natural Gas Co. IRV Plumbing, Electric & HVAC, Inc. were contracted to fix the leak. After a bit of a slow start, IRV was exceptional in prepping, fixing the leak, digging the trench, laying the pipe, reconnecting the gas line and covering the gas line. The last thing I think planned is to throw grass seed and cover with straw to finish up. I really would like to thank all who worked on this repair, and a special shout-out and thank you to Melissa for following through on all that she said she would. It really the repair that much easier for me.

I am very please that IRV was able to accommodate my schedule of being available on Saturday; it really helped us out to meet the needs of our repairs. Ben, the service tech was so knowledgeable and did a great job making sure all of our outlets were in good condition. He also informed me that their company offers service plans. Dannie Goodson was a very friendly technician who worked and communicated what he was doing at all times. Danny replaced my needed outlets and asked permission for the simplest things such as can he trash the old outlets in my trash or did I want him to take it with him. Of course he could trash them but the fact he asked was nice. Dannie also put all of my appliances and counter top things back where he moved them from after he replaced my outlets. Thank you Dannie! If I needed this service again I will definitely request that the be the tech to come out to my home. Great service. Malik came out to replace the gas valve on our water heater, which was a warranty repair covered by Rheem. He arrived early in the appointment window; was kind, courteous and pleasant and very thorough. We had been without hot water for almost a week; took a couple of days for the part to arrive, but once it was here and we could schedule, the repair was completed correctly and quickly. Nice to have hot showers again - and very pleased with the quality and handling of the service call.

Plumbing issues are almost always an emergency and IRV plumbing has been quick to respond multiple times. We bought a 17 year old house and in a year and a half we’ve already had to replace a sump pump among several other issues. Tony in particular was amazing! Friendly, knowledgeable and fast!

I think his name was Tony (I feel bad Im forgetting, but this is a few days late) he was great though! My fireplace actually didn't need fixing, but was super tricky to turn on, and he showed me how to do it, as well as went over some basic safety tips for the type of fireplace I have! We have used IRV for plumbing and electrical work for years now and cannot say enough good about them! Specifically we use Michael for electrical and Leon for plumbing. They are always on time and always do a fantastic job! They frequently get roped into more than they bargained for and always take care of what needs to be done without hesitation. We highly recommend them both!!! The office staff (Deena, Zoe & Melissa) are wonderful as well! Whenever we call in for a project (or emergency), they are so sweet and helpful!

Malik did a great job installing a new toilet, fixing the shut off valve, and installing a pressure valve for us today. He arrived on time was very polite and respectful and finished the job in a timely manner.

IRV replaced my main sewer line from the street all the way under my house. The project was very difficult due to concrete walk way and many tree roots. I have a service line warranty company and IRV did a great job with communicating with my warranty company and also with me. They gave my warranty great detail on the repairs needed and made it clear to them that the whole line needed replaced and not repaired. When approval was granted IRV completed the job and the tech showed me all the details of the new line. Thank you so much to Kat in the front office and the 2 technicians for my new line.

WORST COMPANY EVERRRRRRRR !! STAY AWAY!!!! Rheem is contracted with them to do local work if your covered under warranty. Rheem had them contact me to replace a water heater and sent them the work summary for the replacement. IRV came 5 days later ( only available day) and tell me they had no report from Rheem regarding replacing the water heater they were only here to diagnose what was wrong. In my my mind I found that “ off” and thought maybe that is how the process works, diagnostic first then replace. I had to wait another 7 days ( 12 days now since initial contact) for them to be a NO show!!! I contact Rheem and per their records IRV was supposed to replace it on the original “ 5 days out” available appointment. I told Rheem they did not replace it. Rheem contact IRV who then tells them they are waiting for a “ part” meanwhile Rheem told them originally that “ part” was no longer available so where are they getting this “ part” from? Second hand use? And remember.. Rheem’s original report was for them to replace the whole unit. They had the nerve to tell Rheem “ well only next availability will be Monday “ this adds another 7 days to the original call, so now we would have been 19 days later! NO COMMINCATION from IRV at all! Rheem ended up sending me a warranty claim and requested I contact any plumber of my choosing… Contacted my go to “ Mountain Island Plumbing” in Charlotte NC and they got the job done the SAME DAY I called! DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME WITH IRV!! Even the Manufactor, Rheem , was embarrassed by the way they handled this - STAY AWAY unless you are willing to wait19 days with no hot water… which I’m not even sure they were coming out that day anyway since I have yet to get a call or email from them! And Customer Service is HORRIBLE!! RUDE and UNPROFESSIONAL

TOMMIE JORDAN did an excellent job and exceeded my expectations. IRV service was prompt and I was able to get same day service. Oh my goodness! I had a tenant moving in the same day and a shower not working it was a recipe for disaster but Tommie saved the day! He replaced the valve in the shower; in addition he also fixed a shut off valve and diagnose a leak in the garbage disposal. Thank you IRV!

The office staff is professional with excellent follow up and responsiveness.The Technician Anthony Williams (Tony), who found and repaired a gas leak at our home was caring and superbly skilled in doing his job. He was efficient in explaining each step of the process. Tony was able to pinpoint the leak through his processes, something that the gas company, on three occasions, and another plumbing company had not done. If he is representative, of the staff at IRV, then they truly live bytheir name I -Integrity R - Responsiveness and V - ValueVee Matthews.

IRV Plumbing and Tony Williams get the highest rating from us. We needed a new hot water heater. We called IRV and they would have come that day, but we couldn't do it then so we scheduled for the next morning. Tony arrived at about 10 a.m. and determined the tank was cracked. He wrote up three options for replacing it, and after we picked one, he installed the new water heater himself because no installation crews were available that day. He explained everything carefully, including the differences in the three options he offered. The whole thing was done in one day and one phone call. And the corner of the garage where the water heater is located is now cleaner than it was when Tony got here. This was A+ service all the way around.

Our technician was an excellent, intelligent and experienced young man who goes by the name of Tony, He came right away and immediately realized the problem at hand which he fixed without a hassle, he ordered our part needed, picked it up and installed it all In the same day leaving us with good hot water. Listen if you can request Shane! This guy is like a 3rd generation electrician. He knows this stuff blindfolded. I mean old school electric tape on fingers pro there. I mean he talks you through it, shows you the issue, and does quality work. I have a bathroom remodel I might give them because the work was so strong. AAA+++ Would definitely use again. I wish he could have went further but the home warranty company didn't approve the further system upgrades he suggested.

Jeremiah installed a water heater a few months back and I told him he would get an excellent review from me, better late that never. His efforts were not forgettable. Jeremiah is definitely a master of his trade and he went above and beyond to make sure this not only looked absolutely like a top notch professional installed it, but it was done 100% correctly, and by code. I'm a contractor for over 20 years and his install was up there cleanest work by tradesmen I've seen. Irv has true professionals that far exceed expectations . -customer for life- thanks Jeremiah!!

I contacted IRV plumbing to get an estimate on having a gas line run externally from just after the meter to the fireplace about 8 feet away. The fireplace already had a steel pipe fitted into the brick for the conversion. So this would be a very basic installation for all intents and purposes. The estimate was 4 figures or over $125 per foot of installation. To put that in perspective, we're talking about less than $200 in materials. Tony also estimated the job to take 4 hours. That's about right if he took a nap for 2 billable hours. Thankfully, I stuck to the tried and true mantra of getting three estimates. I contacted the gas company and they will do the work for quite literally half the cost including all inspections. I would tell anyone who is looking to have any work done on a natural gas appliance to contact their gas company first. In the case of IRV plumbing, Tony offered to sign me to their Advantage plan which would get the price down where it should have been to start with. However, the deal was you needed to sign up for $34.99 a month for a minimum of 12 months...or $410...which brought it within $10 of the original estimate. Licensed plumbers overcharge for this type of work and seem to be completely intent on price gouging. This was confirmed by a second estimate from another Charlotte plumbing service. On top of all of that, IRV called me twice a day for a week trying to follow up before I could get a second estimate. They actually filled my voicemail box with their messages. This company may employ the world's finest plumbers, but they will never receive another cent from me. The gas line install was going to be the test for future projects involving hvac, bathroom remodeling...etc. So thanks to IRV for screwing the pooch up front on this estimate so I can spend my money more wisely with a better company on future projects.One final note, they were scheduled to arrive between 1-3PM. Tony showed up at 5 and IRV called me at 2:54 to let me know he was running late. While I understand that things happen on jobs that can throw your whole day off, the same thing happened with the other plumbing company. The PNG contractor was right on time.

I got a new water heater installed from IRV. It was in my attic, which I was worried about at first. But the installation went very well, the old water heater was removed and there was no interruption to my day. I was able to work in my home office and the technician had no problems or issues that needed my attention. There was no mess and nothing I needed to do except stay out of the way. It was very appreciated.

The first plumber did not go under the house or fix anything. He did give good info though about being reimbursed by the water company. The second tech Omar was amazing. He fixed the problem and emailed me a picture and talked to the explained what happened to the insurance company.

Chuck and Kevin were great to work with! I had 3 different companies look at my furnace because we had no heat. None of those companies could figure out how to fix the problem.Then Kevin came out and diagnosed the problem within about 1 hour. He then ordered the parts and Chuck came and installed the he parts. Both of these guys were professional and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend IRV for any HVAC needs.

(Kate) the dispatch intake receptionist at the time had initially set an appointment for the service man to come out between 9am and 11am. When that time slot for the appointment was missed, my fiance then called the office for a valid reason. After speaking with the receptionist, he was told that the serviceman had an emergency and that she would reschedule another appointment between 2pm and 4pm. When that appointment was missed, my fiance called a second time trying to get an update, Kate then informed him that they had ordered the wrong part and would have to reschedule for the following week. I called the next morning and spoke to Ms Melissa, the office manager, she first apologized and she informed me that she would rectify this situation immediately and she did. She ordered the part, had it picked up and had a serviceman come out and repair my ac unit that same morning. I'm hopeful that they have replaced the intake dispatch receptionist Kate and with someone that is exemplary of the companies core values which is honestly, integrity and quality service as Ms. Melissa is. I truly appreciate your hard and diligent work Ms. Melissa and appreciate your service with this company.

I had a great experience with the staff especially Mya and the technician Lamond he was great and did a through inspection on my broken HVAC and found the issue and will have my HVAC fixed tomorrow. We will not be using or recommending IRV in the future. It’s really a shame because the two techs that we worked with were great. Jeremiah and Andrew were knowledgeable, easy to work with, and did more than their fair share of work. The office staff and management, on the other hand, were frustrating and disappointing. I’m sure that if no complications had arisen on the job then we would have been perfectly satisfied, but things did go differently than expected and there was abysmal communication between the office staff, management, and the techs. Ultimately, the techs are the only ones keeping this from a 1-star review.At one point we were provided completely incorrect appointment times and the job ended up getting delayed by a day because of the miscommunication between the office and the techs. There was also either no communication or quite late communication if the tech was delayed or not able to make it out, with all the unnecessary disruption to my work and family time that goes along with such disregard for the customer. Worse yet, the office staff spent most of the time unprofessionally blaming the techs for the miscommunications instead of solving the problem. There was one instance when an office staff member put me on hold to discuss matters with a supervisor and seemed to have completely ignore my complaint when she came back on the line to speak to me again. IRV needs to address its lack of administrative and customer relationship management skills.

KG was a life saver! We recently (within the last 8 months) bought and had a water heater installed. We’ve had so many issues and still keeping my fingerS crosser things keep looking up! KG was professional, on time, courteous and very knowledgeable. He made sure the manufacturer expectations are met and fixed our brand new water heater. Tony came out (early!) and walked me through what the issue was with my garbage disposal connection. It was so obvious, once he showed me, what the previous plumber had done wrong. Jeremiah did incredible work and solved a drain problem that two other professional plumbers couldn't. Called to get my Tankless Hot Water heater serviced. IRV scheduled the appointment promptly and kept me updated via email. Tony arrived on time and took the time to go over the entire process. Was extremely knowledgeable and thorough. Also showed me the areas where the issues occurred and gave me tips to help prevent in the future. Will definitley use again!

I had another company come out several days ago to do a Fall maintenance on my furnace. The person spent more time in his truck coming up with a a list of items and pricing than checking out the system. Thankfully I decided to get a second opinion. IRV was very responsive and CJ, the technician, took the time to be thorough. There was a bad contactor. CJ showed me the issue with the part and explained it to me. He was able to get a new part and install it quickly. IRV's charge for this was $118 less than the first company had quoted me. It was also the only issue with the system. CJ was very respectful, took extra time to explain the system to me and I knew that I could not go wrong with him doing the repair. I highly recommend this company.

Today we had a excellent experience with IRV Plumbing and their master plumber Leon C. He was very professional, gave us a good estimate of what we needed done, and did a great job of installing 3 new toilets and putting in a recirculating pump for hot water heater. He was able to do all the work in one day, meticulous with keeping floors clean by wearing booties and putting tarp down where needed. He was very knowledgeable and very efficient. Tim Haneline from IRV came out to repair our a/c unit. He did a quick and thorough job and got us up and running in no time. He was very friendly and professional and would recommend him to anybody needing service.

We have had issues with our tankless water heaters in the past year. Its been difficult to find plumbers who service them. IRV was recommended by the manufacture. Ivan and Chris came and solved our problem. They were very professional and explained everything they were doing. I would recommend them to my friends.

Leon is extremely knowledgeable and quick. I got a quote from the punctual plumber first, they were going to charge me 1k and IRV was able to do it for half of that price. He put our tub back in and it was hard to do because he had to figure out how it was put in the first place. He did everything with no destruction to our property.

I was very impressed with the knowledge and courtesy of my Electrician Anthony V. Not only did he hang my fan (15ft to the ceiling) but added a secondary stabilizing support and installed new switches in my electric box. He then took the time to thoroughly clean up after himself and spent some time going over the repairs and safety precautions needed to ensure proper usage of the fans features for years of continued use. We had an emergency call today to repair a pipe that was leaking in our wall. We had a hot water heater that was installed incorrectly by another plumber which a home warranty company sent to our house. IVR came within 40 minutes of our call and we had Tony W. He explained how things should of been done and made all the appropriate repairs. He was professional, very polite and I learned a lot. He explained why these things should of been done. I would recommend IRV plumbing.

Updated review - After being an Advantage member for 10 months, I strongly recommend anyone considering this membership to avoid it like the plague. It is simply a money sucker, and a scam, since they do not honor the services they advertise. I had my AC inspection in the summer (included in the plan). They said the fans were very dirty and needed to be cleaned, which they charged $360 to do (for barely 90 min of work, one person). When I contacted them to ask why we had been charged since the Safety plan includes free fan cleaning, they ignored my request, did not return any calls as I was promised, a manager even said it was not included in the program (see it for yourself https://irvplumbing.com/safety-plans). Bottom line, they are not a company you can trust.

Reliable service. Trustworthy. When Julian had to troubleshoot, he would think through the cost and benefit to the customer. He was very patient in explaining the mechanics behind our plumbing issue as well.

I had used IRV on two previous occasions some years ago, so I turned to them again with confidence when a toilet clog resisted all our amateur efforts. The IRV team was great from my first call — made on a Sunday to get myself in line for Monday. The next morning, Melissa had us scheduled for a two-hour window, gave me clear instructions about how I would receive updates on scheduled arrival — AND was even cheerful on the first Monday of Daylights Savings Time!Master Plumber Tony arrived as the update specified, and was so polite and personable that he put me (and my dog) at ease in no time. In examining the toilet, he saw a drip I had failed to mention. I had thought the small drip was coming from a bolt connecting the tank to base, so I had put a glass under it to catch the occasional drip. But Tony crawled underneath to check further and photographed what was clearly a hairline crack that ran the whole width of the tank, and was oozing a foul, mold-laden gel-like substance! The “gel” was actually plugging the crack, but geez— it was PAST time for that toilet to go! Tony worked with me to get a unit and installation that were affordable, detailed everything that would be in the bill, picked up the new toilet within the hour, and completed the installation cleanly and professionally that evening!He left the bathroom clean, and even carried the towels I’d used to soak up the overflow to my washing machine for me because the full laundry basket of water-logged towels was so heavy. So isn’t there a 6th star somewhere that I can add to my rating of Team IRV and super-star Tony?

The company was set up to come out and fix my HVAC unit. The temperature in the house was 88 degrees so we were anxious to get the u it fixed. The company called and let me know that the serviceman was running late which was polite to do. Then the company called my warranty company and said I refused to pay a trip charge of $100.00 which they never told me about. Totally lied!!!

When I called for service, I stated that it takes the water a long time to get hot. That is not the service I received. Matthew did what he was told to do but I wasted money because the problem still exists. The request was not assessed properly because what I received did not solve the problem.

Awesome to work with Leon and his helper. Second call to Irv and got the same crew. They were great and talked me through the entire process and gave me options for everything. Great humor and very professional. And they were early!

I decided to go with IRV to replace my upstairs HVAC system based on price and that they currently do work for my neighbor. Unfortunately the installation process was poorly managed and communicated. We did get the system successfully installed, but not without multiple delays, poor communication on details of the job and no oversight & follow-up of the job by the supervisor. Best price is not always the best option. Hopefully the service side of things will be better.

After a almost 3 hour wait from this company nothing was Ever done. The guy first started out by telling me that our home was Warm well yeah I suppose so after being without air for 3 or 4 not to mention we are still unable to use the unit. He claimed to have 25 years of experience but I couldn't tell. He asked if we had Insurance which I took as an Insult. He appeared to be very Lazy and said that he was to large to get the work done. Which has nothing to do with the work being done. He walked around the house twice and than sat in the truck. Very unprofessional if you ask me. Another day in the heat. Will not be using their services again.

Jose was a very nice young man and found the problem very quickly. He traced the problem to an old outlet that a sick animal urinated on and did a great job now we have our lights back! I would recommend you to ask for Jose when you have a lighting problem in your home. We are very happy to have our lights on again. Thank you Jose!

We have had issues with our water for years. Had multiple plumbers and well service people come and attempt to help but ultimately just sell us things we didn't need. John with IRV plumbing was fantastic, friendly, helpful and went above and beyond to fix our water issues. I already purchased a power anode which he installed and even went out to Lowes to get a hard to find part that was missing to do the installation properly. Not only did he install the part but helped figure out what we needed to make sure our water was perfect. Going to have our water tested and install a web to get rid of the sulfur that is causing odors and staining on our fixtures. Very pleased. Trustworthy, honest and extremely helpful. Wish we had called him years ago would have saved us tons of money and frustration.

Nate was great. He diagnosed my electric issues with the kitchen light and fixed my alarm, and also replaced my smoke detector. He was so great with my dog and had excellent customer service and demeanor. I would definitely used him and this company again!

Excellent! We had a brand new 80 gallon electric water heater put in. Not only did they do this big job on a Saturday morning, Laszlo and Hristo did an excellent job throughout the whole process . They were punctual, professional and they went above and beyond to do all the work required to bring the system up to code.They also explained things to us along the way. The customer service rep Amela made the whole process easy. When we called in with our problem of a leaky water heater, she sent someone out right away, and gave us the time we needed to take a decision without being pushy. She was friendly and walked us through the whole process over the phone. Really a great company. Excellent work! Would never hesitate to use them again!

Through a Big Deal I purchased on Angie's List, he came in to assess an attic leak (which turned out to be HVAC) and look at our toilets which have been giving us problems. Used twice in 2019 for plumbing. Very reasonable rates, plumber showed up on time. If I was rating last year I would have given 5 stars.Used once in 2020 for electrical work. Electrician showed up on time, but rates were twice what we were expecting.Tried to use once in 2020 for plumbing. Plumber showed up on time, then told us that the service that he told us last year would have been around $200 would cost $700 now. We said no thanks, and I found a different company to do it for $200 the next day (and two others quoted it under $400).Pros: friendly staff in the office, friendly staff who show up at your house, everything is flat rate pricing so no worrying if a job takes longer than they think it might after they quote youCons: office staff won't give you ANY pricing on the phone, not even budgetary or ballpark numbers, so it's a gamble at what price you might get for the work. You can't get a price until someone comes to your home, and if you decide you don't want the service then you still have to pay the $59 trip charge (which is waived if you do get service)

Emmett came out to our home to help with a shower issue. He was amazing to say the least. He was incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. Emmett will forever be our plumber. Called in for gas line repair service at 9:30am on NYE and had a technician at our house (Roger) by 11:15am. He diagnosed the issue, went and retrieved the necessary part from the warehouse, and made the repair all by 1:30pm. At a reasonable price as well. Definitely recommend.

I have been having issues with my AC for 3 months and dealing with another HVAC company (who did patches of work-). But today CJ came from IRV Plumbing (professionally dressed-shirt beared his name) ..He was on time (and stayed until every piece of equipment from the unit, thermostat,Motherboard and transform was in sync...He explained how my AC should work. I had IVR (Ivan & Chris) come to find a water leak in my front yard. They confirmed there was a leak but since there were no wet areas in the front yard between the meter and house, they recommended replacing the entire line. They sad it would take about 4 hrs. They called their office and within 30 minutes IVR had them scheduled to come out the next morning (Saturday) at 9 am. They arrived a couple minutes early and completed the 4 hr job in slightly over 2 hrs. I was amazed. Ivan & Chris are two very knowledgeable and polite men. My daughter and her family just moved into a rental and there were a few issues with the plumbing so after submitting a report to the rental company, they had IRV Plumbing, Electric & HVAC come out to check it out. Jeremiah came out and said the water heater needed replacing along with a new kitchen faucet and bathroom faucet should be replaced. After submitting a report, it took less then week to be ok’d and new ones installed. Today Jeremiah came by and did an excellent job replacing the old for all new and everything was cleaned up before they left. I’d definitely recommend IRV and ask for Jeremiah if you need any plumbing work done.

We had a water heater that had been leaking water... called a couple of companies including Fat Man Plumbing who came and said the heater may need to be replaced! We called IRV who sent Gary over to inspect... in less than 10 minutes he identified the issue to a fault PCV and IRV scheduled Leon to come over and replace it. No hassle, on time and professional team. Great experience with IRV and highly recommend them for your plumbing needs!

I have been working with them to replace my compressor. Lennox has a back order on them. After two weeks they call with part. Myra worked around my schedule to get the first available. Brian and CJ replaced part on Friday only for it to fail. CJ waited for 3 hrs to get a replacement part while Brian removed and did heating inspection. Satiria called to be sure service was excited. Great group of folks.

I contacted IRV Plumbing (Charlotte) to get an evaluation for a water filter system on my home. I have a private well and wanted some advice on which type of system would best serve my needs. The gentleman who responded was courteous. Other than checking the faucet screens on my water outlets, he didn't offer any specific advice regarding what type of treatment system would best serve my needs. I ended up doing my own research (as usual) and purchase my own system and have another plumber install. I spent $50 on an assessment and feel like it was a waste of my time and money. I wouldn't recommend.

Technician Tony came to my house in Cornelius NC at 6:30pm on a SATURDAY night (nov 3). What a great honest professional experience.
Tony did everything by code, explained to me what he was doing at even had to go in crawl space at night. Tony spent 5 hours resolving my issue and left at 11:30pm.

Anthony Vagnone did a fantastic job for us. We were having electrical issues in our breakfast nook area and two other previous electricians from other electrical companies were unable to diagnose the problem. He was able to diagnose the problem and make the necessary repairs. He was efficient, courteous, and explained everything to us. It took me 9 years to find Tony Williams @ IRV. Past plumbers had no clue how to properly service my Rheem tankless water heater. Tony, on the other hand, is a tankless water heater wizard. He surgically took the entire unit apart (cleaned burners, descaled it, cleaned air intake, checked for gas leaks). Super lucky to have found Tony. He's a plumbing genius.

Leon and Sidney at IRV plumbing and electric came out to fix my toilet on today. They were very professional and Leon was very knowledgeable and made sure I understood what the problem was with the clog. My nephews had came over one weekend and put a toy or something in the toilet so this was very frustrating to not be able to flush the toilet. Leon and Sidney both explained that my toilet had to be replaced with a new toilet because whatever was stuck in the toilet was wedged into the toilet. I was concerned about the price but he was able to get me a good affordable price for the new toilet. They installed the new toilet and it was good. Thank you Leon and Sidney. JOB WELL DONE!!!!!! I will call again for repair to my second toilet.

She provided excellent customer service & was very pleasant to speak with.My appointment is Monday & with the great service Kim provided I am certain I will receive the same from the technician.

IRV came out to my house and did both a plumbing and an electrical job at my house and were super professional and competitively priced. Plumbing job was replacing three outdoor faucets with frost valves and removing and reinstalling a toilet that was missing a bolt in the base. Electrical job was running a new ceiling light fixture and associated switch, and fixing three older switch boxes that were missing grounds and neutrals and ripping up the floor in the attic to wire and run things. I am very happy with the work (my only comment was that I had to re-do the silicon on the base of a toilet they re-installed after repairs because it was messily done...SMALL COMPLAINT TO HAVE FOR THE WORK DONE!) and would recommend them again. Tony, the electrician, worked for hours to troubleshoot a difficult electrical issue (one that I had spent hours pouring over with my amateur electrician skills) and got everything done exactly as I wanted and asked.

They move fast so you will not be left out in the cold! Even the inspector commented on how quickly they got things done.If you are having insurance or home warranty work done be sure you know the terms before you make any arraignments. We had some misunderstandings that led to some serious problems with our HVAC installation, which is why they are getting 4 instead of 5 stars.HOWEVER, IVR did what it took to make things right and I am sure it cost them to do so which earns them a solid 4 stars. If you as the customer do your due diligence I think you can have a great customer experience with IVR.

Well, the new tub and rough-in are done for my bathroom renovation. Leon and Chad arrived on time. They were both very polite, friendly and gracious. I am w/c bound and they gave me special consideration regarding the cutting off of my water so I was able to get my nurse's visit done without any hiccups. They did a wonderful job, handling a problem that had been left behind. The job was done in a timely manner and they cleaned up after they finished. I do hope they will be sent back for the rest of the plumbing work.Good guys!

Service was not the best on 06/12/2020. Tech showed up on time was the only good thing. Tech was not familiar with the warranty program and tried to charge me another trip fee which I had paid prior to IRV HVAC arriving and Tech was not following CDC guidelines and attempted to enter my home without a MASK, which he claimed he was not equipped with any MASK. My Mail Man happened to be present and supplied the Tech with a MASK. My AC problem is the damper opening and closing the Tech got the damper to open by tapping on it manually. Told me to tap on it if it happen again, but the warranty company would not cover as long as the damper was able to function and if the motor burned out then I could use the warranty company. So one day later I’m back to no air in my Loft. Problem not solve. Clearly the Tech was really unfamiliar with the warranty program. Not sure if I would use IRV HVAC again.

Excellent service. The customer service agent or receptionist kept me abreast of any delays. The electrician explained everything and answered my questions thoroughly. I asked quit a few questions because a lot of comapnies just do enough to get by, but this company ensured that I understood. I am a single mother and home owner so I have experienced bad services that try to insult my intelligence and get over as if I were desperate and they arw the only option. I signed up for IRV's monthly service being that my house is almost ten years old and needed their hvac service the next day as well. The electrician was professional, more like a handyman that was part of the family, honest, helpful, and excellent service. My air conditioner would not come on (why I needed the HVAC service) he and I were both sweating, and he did not complain not one time or rush through the job although the heat was excrutiating. Thanks IRV.

Have been using IRV for the past several years including complete kitchen remodel (rough-in & finish on both electrical and plumbing) and replacing water heater. So I have spent thousands of dollars on work.Mostly happy, however lately seems disorganized as they have at least twice, sent a plumber instead of an electrician or vice-versa when I requested service. And every time I request an electrician, it is someone different and most are new to the company.Recently, I asked for plumber regarding bathtub fixture replacement and they never got back to me, even after sending 3 emails and waiting for a couple weeks. Finally I called a different plumber.On the most recent visit the electrician had to be rescheduled for the following day and cut two extra holes that were really not needed, one was in the wall and one in the ceiling. The one was from drilling through ceiling in wrong spot (which can happen) and other was because of having trouble fishing a rod through wall and into ceiling, so had to cut a hole in the wall to feed the wire up. Later it was determined rod was at wrong angle to get it through the wall (again, it can happen)On kitchen work, the plugmold in kitchen was poorly attached and became loose on wall after some months. They had to return and fix, but they charged another service call due to length of time since install.Don't get me wrong, they did A LOT of work at the house. Completely rewiring kitchen with new panel box, plus plumbing work. But, it was not without issues and most were unnecessary issues.Do I think they did a decent job. Yes, for the most part and everything works as it should. They are also good about cleaning up the messes they make. However, the prices have also been increasing for work they have been quoting me.Will I use them again? Maybe. But might also try elsewhere.This is as honest a review as I can do, so - YMMV.

Not so good, the tech quoted me a price and mid-way during the job he added more money. On the 2nd day of the job, he told me it would take 2hrs. He took over 10hrs, that’s after a full day on 1st day. He left for material for two hrs. Now I have to pay more money to get have someone my repair the 9 cut out holes he made to find what he was looking for,he told “better to have holes than a electrical fire.” I wish I knew how to post the photos ?

This is an honest review and as I sit here on day two yet another day home from work to wait for the plumber I have a few things to say. I had a gas line installed for a stove. The line was put in however the rest of the story can be classified as sloppy. First and foremost whenever a company is going to saw, drill or cut walls be sure they are covering surrounding areas and immediate flooring, my house is covered in fine dust. To an extend some is acceptable, but no attempt was made to cover the immediate area- sloppy work. The outside extension pipe that was put in was spray Painted, however no attempt was made to deflect the paint and my siding was spray painted silver as a result, perhaps I would recommend your company carry some spare cardboard to back a spray paint job- again sloppy.I spent a day out of work to wait for an inspector, once he came he noticed that the there was no pressure. He left , I called IRV again , they came back and the value that was used was faulty. A waste of my time and the inspectors- do they not test this equipment before- sloppy. Additionally a access panel was left on my counter, not sure if I was to install it, but the inspector wanted it installed, I attempted myself but the hack job of a hole that was cut is not even big enough.Finally for some reason they removed the tip brace from the floor and that is missing. When you remove something why not put it back where it was. They insist it was left on my counters, but it is gone, again something the inspector wanted and now I am unclear what to do, do I go to Lowe’s and buy one? - why is it my responsibility? I know the new stove will come with one but that delivery will no need to be postponed because they can’t hook up a gas stove without a clean inspection.—-sloppy.I was not home during this install or I would have most likely caught all of this, however to pay the price of this install $1375. 00 work was necessary. Final thoughts- never again.

I call IRV for both electric and plumbing. Most recent experience was electrical. A switch plate had arced leaving a bedroom and bathroom in the dark. Jose Ortez was professional, on time, helpful and corrected the problem easily. He was very helpful with other electrical questions that I had. Service is very affordable.As a realtor, I also called IRV to winterize a home that is listed for sale. Again, they were very prompt and professional. They went through a check list required for winterization. Service is very affordable.

IRV was called to my house by the manufacturer to check on problem that I had with a faulty 11 month old water heater. After coming out 3 times and replacing a part they tried to tell the manufacturer that it was not installed correctly and not up to code and tried to charge me $850 to bring it up to code. I called a different plumber to check and they said that all of that was completely bogus. I then had to prove to the manufacturer that IRV lied and my unit was up to code so they would replace it. I used the other guy! IRV will try to RIP YOU OFF!

I had the toughest time with this company. Firstly, I got charged $475 on their first visit to figure out what was wrong with the problem I was having. Yes, $475. They were there no more than an hour and once the problem was solved, they charged me $1640 just to charge the main sewer Y pipe. It literally took them 2 hours. By my calculation, this amounts to $700 an hour. You would have thought that they brought multiple earth movers, 29 plumbers and lots and lots of hardware. Anyway, I agreed to pay for it, therefore I'm the one to be blamed for not shopping around for a better deal. If money is no object to you, go ahead and call this company.The real beef I have with these people is the following. Upon completion of the job, I simply requested them to provide a simple report written. To clearly state what the cause of the problem was and who might have been responsible for it. In this case, the builder made a huge mistake and I wanted to get reimbursed for it. In order for me to do so, I needed a report. I told them that as soon as I received the said report, I would pay them right then and there. I mean the report would take an average person 10 minutes to put together. Nope. It never took place. They sent me invoices and the initial proposal instead. After threatening me with putting a lien on my property, I was forced to pay for it.Overall, I'd stay away from this company! Be forewarned.

I had IRV Plumbing and Electric perform some services at my home recently. They installed a new outlet that allows regular items to be plugged in, while simultaneously charging a cell phone, tablet and/or other USB device! My family loves it. I also needed my outside water spigot repaired as it leaks terribly, and they handled this capably as well. The technician was on-time, neat and knowledgeable. Called about low pressure in certain parts of house. Technician was friendly and immediately diagnosed the problem as a bad pressure valve,He proceeded to perform the ~$400 service (ouch the part is only $75 at home depot). I went along with it as I didn't have time to crawl under the house and do it myself, or I would have.After he changed the valve, the pressure issues (mostly master bath and shower) were exactly the same. He advised we should to see if there were low flow restrictors. First of all I come from an area where we do not have such things in our bath tubs or showers. Second, wouldn't that be the FIRST thing to check.We removed them (mostly me) and the pressure was exactly what we expected. That fix did not cost anything and frankly I should have read up and checked that first.I would have gladly paid the $39 service call and let them go in 15 minutes. I know they need to make money and as the technician said my valve may of needing replacing soon anyways.The principle of the issue is the real fix for my issue was $39 no $400.I will be looking for a more honest organization in the future should I ever need a plumber.

Hired them over a year ago for some extensive work in my crawl space...at the time, I felt like they did a good job for a fair price. I called them back for additional work and they wanted $500 to put a check valve into a pipe and seal a connection...the plumber continually quoted fixed rate pricing...WAY TOO EXPENSIVE for the simple work requested...I will not call them again.

Ongoing AC issue. The on the unit stopped. DIANOSIS: bad compressor, bad fan motor. IRC wants to replace the entire unit. Steven the tech supv. says he can't locate a replacement fan, which is a LIE.It's been over a week and IRV refuses to play it straight. Waiting for a call since the tech did not show Saturday as promised. Repair is not in sight.

Office Manager, Melissa, was AMAZING! She helped us navigate a very frustrating experience with our Home Warranty company, eventually performing the work outside of the Home Warranty contract on time and without incident.

John Foster came over with Dillon to install canned lighting in living areas with dimmer, change out 2 working ceiling fans with updated ones and convert a timer switch to standard switch for outdoor light. Additionally, he helped validate all my breakers inside the garage. The previous owners did not leave any tipsheet that identified what fuse lit what. He was on time, very pleasant, and helped put the older but functional fans in my car to drop off for Habitat for Humanity. I have future needs in kitchen and will be sure to request John Foster.

While dealing with a huge sewage issue, Kim was great with being very understanding and professional. She kept me up to date on the process and assisted with any questions I had. If she could not answer my quetions, she was quick to get someone who could answer them for me. Kim assisted with making a horrible situation easy to deal with.

IRV came out and fixed a waterline break in our community. They had it all repaired in about an hour. IRV know what they are doing. They Located an underground burst immediately and ended a very serious break. They are honest, affordable, and cleanup up nice. I call these guys for all my properties.

Newman is the consummate pro! His demeanor is polite and his knowledge extensive. He upholds old-school craftsmanship and honesty. Along with the for-charge services rendered, he solved a problem at no charge that a licensed electrical contractor (whom I paid $75) had no clue about. He went so far as to make further repairs DIY-possible. I recommend IRV without qualification.

Leon was right on time to fix our plumbing issues -- and he was quick to do it! Charming and polite, he also gave me advice on caulking and how to do it right. We are very pleased.

**UPDATE** In response to Robet's reply..... Thetech never mentioned calling the manufacture and also never told me that he was able to get the valve back on. I took Roberts advice, called the manufacturer and they weren't able to confirm that a call had been made. The addition of an expansion tank and drip valve are NOT required by code in NC or SC as part of a retro-fit they are required in NC for new construction, my property is in SC. Call code enforcement and ask your self. IVR continues to lie and use scare tactics DO NOT hire these people.They LIED to me.....IVR recently installed a complete A/C and furnace system in a rental property I own with my wife. Although I hated to spend the $ I was happy with the service and work they provided.That all changed when I called them 2 weeks later after our tenant complained of a lack of hot water, I called IRV to investigate. Later that night they called back with their diagnosis. I was told that the unit (2 years old) needed a new gas control valve AND that they also were required to get the unit up to code by installing an expansion tank, sediment trap and additional pipe insulation.I was surprised by the code requirements being that the unit is fairly new and questioned the tech. He 1st assured me that NC absolutely requires the additional work. I reminded him that the property was in SC and he then was sure that it was also required in SC too, even offering to send me the specific code language.The next morning when the code didn't arrive I grew more specious and called code in enforcement in SC & NC in an attempt to verify, they both confirmed that there is NO code requirement for IVR's repairs.Next I told IRV that I had lost trust in them and ask them to meet me at the property, thats when we able to confirm that in fact NO repair was needed after all.To summarize IRV failed to test the issue, then LIED about code requirements claiming that $721 in repairs were need when in fact the unit is in working order and with in all code requirements.Do not trust them and if you do decide to call the absolutely get a 2nd opinion.

Jeremeiah Miller made my day! Our gas lanterns were not lighting and I had been told that I would probably have to order new valves since the levers were locked up. Jeremeiah got busy and disassembled the valves thoroughly clean and lubricated them and put the two fixtures back together. They work like new, I didn't have to order new parts and I am very happy. Thanks!

Wasn't expecting all my work not to be done. Got estimate which was good and schedule installing of chandelier and pendant lights. Installer could only do pendants after spending half hour going to hardware store to materials. I was a little perturbed that the installer did not have all the equipment needed to do the job. Didn't get chandelier installed due to lack of equipment needed. Had to reschedule. FYI, make sure the estimator knows all about the lighting you need installed, so the installer has all the needed items to install them.

Electrician Nathanial Trahan came to address a problem with a tripping breaker. He was exceptionally professional, personable, and quick to identify and resolve the issue. He made sure I understood why it was occurring (old house; grounding wiring missing) and tested the rest of the area for correction. Would recommend to a friend. Thank you!

Could not ask for a more professional plumbing company. Discovered a leak between the city water meter and house on a Friday morning and the team was on-site before noon to diagnose. They replaced the entire water line from the street for us. Very impressed with the company and their employees!

A friend of mine had IRV give him a bid for a rewire of panel and run 2-110 outlet, and add 3 new gas lines with tank less water heater. The first red flag should have been they charged him an estimate of $52.00.The second red flag was the bid $14KIt took them a long time to come give the bid, I think they reschedule 3 times. when the bid was complete he received numerous calls to see it they could get the job.

We moved to Charlotte recently. After moving into our new home, we realized that there was a leak under the bathroom sink. Tommie checked it out and explained that it was caused by a pinhole leak in the faucet valve. Rather than just charging us for a new faucet, he researched the faucet and it was covered by a lifetime warranty. He gave us the 1-800 number to call to request a replacement faucet at no charge. In my opinion, this was going above and beyond. Thank you, Tommie!

I always said I would never pay for an estimate but I did this time and received just what I always feared. They figure since you paid for the estimate you'll pay any price for the service. To add a doorbell chime and button to the back deck, with a completely open walk in attic with some flooring, add 1 transformer and 50' of wire, replace 1 outside GFI socket And one outside receptacle and three wheather proof covers for three outside receptacles they quoted me $1836.66.for three to four hours worth of work. I already have the doorbell and chime. They were to supply the transformer, wire, outlets, and covers. This is about a $400.00 job.They did not put an estimate of time. I could do this job in three hours. And I guess I will. NEVER will I call this company again, nor pay for another estimate. I could move everything I own to China and not pay for an estimate. Repaint my house and not pay for an estimate. Put on a new roof and not pay for an estimate.

We had one of their electricians come to our home because some of our rooms were getting no power, When the electrician arrived to my house, he asked to go directly to the breaker box, not once checked any of the receptacles in the house, he didn’t check anything in the house. My wife was inside in the living room, she noticed where the power kept flickering on and off from the electrician messing around with the breaker box, My wife noticed that the house was on fire and ran to tell the electrician which was still outside at the breaker box. The negligence of one of the companies electricians left me and my family displaced. I really wish I could leave a lower score.

My 80 year old father had a clogged garbage disposal, and didn’t feel like fooling with it. Their technician quoted him $1,100. Said a wall needed to come out, pipes replaced... it’s a garbage disposal for crying out loud. He ended up doing it himself. Talk about trying to take advantage! Wow!!

IRV tech didn't diagnose HVAC but emphasized the urgent need to sell me a new system. My son & I checked the unit and found clogged drain line, in which we mixed vinegar with Baking soda to desolve the hard calcium build up and cleared the clogged stuff and fixed the entire problem. Free!!

This company is very expensive!! They quoted me almost $1,700 to move 2 switches into a bedroom from an adjoining room. The gentleman that quoted me said it was 3-4 hours of work. I had another electrician quote and complete the same job for $240. The total supply cost was $38. I would not consider them again.

Problem; my Water heater relief valve discharged water. Your repair tech replaced the defective valve and replaced the water heater expansion tank. The tech also advised that our water pressure was too high. He replaced that valve.

We hired them to fix a faulty drain in the toilet... not only did they pad the bill, a month later er had the exact same problem.
