4 months after new Pressure Regulator was installed, I needed to shut off house water supply. Found handle inoperable and tiny leak in the upside down brass union. Different man, Jason, was sent out and corrected all issues. Very pleased with main office, whole corrective process and outcome!!

Ramon was great, him and his helper got the job done in about an hour. Ramon explained what the issue was and what the fix would entail. The appointment was set for repair on Friday 2 days out from my initial call. Very fast response which I’m thankful for. The only thing I wish was different is waiving the service fee if I agree to do the job. Outside of that I will be using your company again.

Brandon called me before the appointment and walked me through some things that might be the issue and could easily be resolved. Those didn’t work. I received a text with his name and picture and when he would arrive. Brandon was right on time. I explained what was happening. He checked the GFI in the garage. It had a wire that was t connected cause my garage door not to work or my irrigation system. He fixed that and also checked the receptacles on my porch that had tripped the breaker. All good. We use Jim Dickerson Plumbing and Electrical for any issue we have. They were recommended to us when we first moved to the Charlotte area and we have been pleased with the quality and professionalism of their team for all we have had done to our home. In this instance, Zack was dispatched to fix a leaky faucet. It turned out to be a little more than that when he dug into the problem. Of course, he fixed the issue and the underlying cause. He explained everything and took care of our issue quickly and professionally. We continue to be pleased with all the work from their team and especially, in this case, Zack. We will continue to call on the Jim Dickerson team for all of our plumbing and electrical needs.

The company was a recommendation from friends. We contacted them around 7pm on Thursday night and got a spot for repair on Friday morning. Zach came out to unclog our washing machine drain pipe in the house. When he left we noticed the issue was not fixed and called back out. Zach turned right around to come back and finally got the issue resolved. So glad to have the issue corrected and in a timely manner.

Was able to send someone within 24 hours. Very courteous and professional. They also exhausted all lower cost options which worked and there was not a reason to use the tools that would add additional cost. Our water line busted last night during to the age of the pipes and flooded our basement. Zack came within an hour of me speaking with him and took care of everything! He did a great job and we will definitely call them for any plumbing issues!

We through there was some water leakage from the attic, with damage to our ceiling going up the stairwell n bedroom. Chris was very informative in explaining the problem which could be from the AC, or condensation from the roof, also showing me photo's of our water heater with no water leakage or damage. Very satisfied with Chris overall explanation performance.

I'm apart of the duke energy warranty programs I had been having problem with my A.C off and on ....so Duke has sent them out to repair it. They turn back in a report to Duke energy that a c unit is 20 year old need to be replace. I have another problem so I called my local independent a.c guy. he come to the house. And tell me nothing wrong with my ac until. It's my thermostat inside the house.. And said he would not ever replace the A.C I have. It big commercial style unit .He said it would cost me 10k and the new units are not made with the same quality. They don't make the quality of the current unit you have any longer. There absolutely nothing wrong with your unit. So this company was try to get me to buy a new unit because of faulty thermostat. He told me when you have someone untrained and they can't figure it out there fall back is to replace your whole unit... Beware of there untrained A C tech. May sure you get a 2nd opinion when using this company. I have not had one problem the rest of the summer after replacing the thermostat inside the house..

Unfortunately, we had a sudden pipe leak occur that required immediate repair. Although we had not done any business with Jim Dickerson Co before, based on a referral they came to our home and repaired within just a few hours. I discovered that my old water heater was leaking late Wednesday afternoon, and Thursday morning by 11 o’clock my water heater had been replaced. Joe was great to work with and answered all of my questions. When I was concerned that there was further issue, and a leak, the company dispatched Brian within hours of me calling to take a look. The technician Brandon Johnson came to look at our home. Was very rude and unprofessional, said he wasn’t there to provide a quote for a rental company and to “have the other company do it” then proceeded to just get into his van and leave. Was having issue with my hot water heater. Duke power sent Dickerson Plumbing out. I checked the reviews once I now know who was coming and was very reluctant to go with them from what I read. I had talk with a very rude person already with Duke today I wasn't in the mood to chance another rude person. Repairman will be Joseph.
Well today Joseph Joe arrived on time. First impression everything to me. He was very professional, courtesy and knowledge. I like that he put his shoe covers on.. After briefing him on my issue he got to work. I like that he didn't mind answering any questions I asked him. Very good customer service skills. I'm so glad I had no issue. He checked everything out and found the water turn off was I think too low which was also causing a issue with my commode. He was very helpful in telling me what need to be done with commode. It was not covered on my plan and was more than I wanted to pay. That's the only reason I didn't have him do it. Can't say enough about Joe. If I have issues again I will ask for this company requesting Joseph because he do not fit the bill for any of the negative reviews I read.

Angie and Debbie have been consistently responsive and helpful to set appointments. The Techs are experienced, Professional and polite. We are texted in advance with an ETA for the plumber with photo. Some of the plumbers ( and electricians) have been with Dickerson for more than 15 years. That has to say something about the company and how they treat their people. We have posted reviews on Facebook as well. If you don’t know what you are doing or don’t have the time to mess with the project, hire a professional. Get the job done right the first time.

We have used Jim Dickerson for plumbing over the years and have always been super happy with the service, expertise and results. Today we had all house exterior receptacles covers replaced with new upgraded weather proof covers. All of the them were inspected and tested for GFI and 1 of them was completely replaced. Also had a problem socket on a ceiling fan inspected and fixed. Bobby texted when he was headed our way, arrived when expected, listened to my concerns, executed everything flawlessly and was done in a flash! Jim Dickerson is now my go to place for any future electrical needs.

Job-Replacement of two exterior panels ($7395.00) plus tax. Customer service was horrible. Nate-Master electrician and helper left the job on Day 2 at 1:55 said he had to go on another job at which point my electric was out 32 hours due to this service. This company will follow-up with a lot of excuses as to why they fail in ethical and professional standards. Debbie the office worker was really great at making excuses and did not offer solutions. It appears that their pattern is getting the job, showing up on day 1 ; then leaving the job while you wait for another three days for them to return to complete proposed work. I decided to fire this company from the rest of my outstanding work. Their Ethical and professional practices were not a good fit. Michael from the office was an empathetic listener and help me contact the county to get the passed inspection number so that my electric service provider could restore my power. I hope my assessment provides the next customer with a knowledgeable base to make an informed decision. And I hope that this company READ this review and improve on their work procedures and policies, so that customers can have AT least an average experience

I recently had them repair leaking pipes under my house and while they were there, they noticed that there were numerous electrical wiring issues that needed repairing ASAP. This company was able to repair multiple issues with several separate teams. Each team member was very friendly and professional. I highly recommend this company for any plumbing and electrical needs!

The company sent Nate to repair an electrical problem in our garage. Nate was prompt, courteous and professional. He not only fixed the problem quickly, he also provided us with a list of special parts we could obtain to prevent this problem from happening again. This is our first experience with the company and we will definitely use them again.

I had a service call that ended up being a very minor repair - less than 5 minutes total time. I suspected there would be a service charge, even though none was disclosed when I called them in the first place. But I was still surprised when I was told their standard service charge is $110. That is more than I have paid any other trade for a service charge, and it was especially painful considering how quick the fix was. I contacted Jim Dickerson and asked for some relief, but received no reply other than an invoice for the full amount. I won't be calling them again.

I am in the middle of dealing with this company. I contracted them through Duke energy and they came out quickly. The tech said that the issue, a faulty duct switch, wasn't covered by Duke. After $400 came out of my credit card my ac worked..for a day. I called Jim Dickerson that day and since the AC had started working again was told to call them if the problem recurred. When it did, the woman on the phone refused to send out a tech until I got ANOTHER work order from Duke. Since it was Saturday I couldn't get anything done until Sunday or Monday. The temps were over 90 degrees.

This company has NO sense of customer service...STAY AWAY!

I would install my own air conditioning/furnace over hiring this company. First off, you’re given your quote which is supposed to include tax, but at the end of your excruciating experience you find out that you have to pay $400 of tax. Second off, this company was hired to replace working units and they said this was a one day job upon scheduling appointment. They removed my working air conditioning unit, and put a brand new one in a box in the yard and decided to call it a day. They left and never communicated with us as to why our job was not complete. So my dogs, and family got to go without air conditioning during the summer in charlotte. When calling to inquire why my “one day” job wasn’t complete in one day, we were told oh now it’s a two day job. On the second day of this job, they then left a large hole in my ceiling from someone whose foot fell through the ceiling while installing the furnace. They then left after putting a piece of a cardboard box over the hole in my ceiling, and left the air conditioning off with my dogs in the house all day again. After all of these issues, (not to mention the rude women that work in their office you get to speak to every time there’s an issue) you would expect some type of discount. But nope, not from this company. Seriously, i couldn’t imagine having a worse experience. This company needs a MAJOR lesson on CUSTOMER SERVICE. (As seen in most other reviews, do not hire them) EVER.

Hi called them because Duke Power said they were a good contractor...needed a electrical contractor,,,the guys we're very nice and punctual.......$157.00 for a service call BE AWARE ...EVERY TIME THEY SCREW UP..you will be charged and come back....service tech. said (Roger) don't test this for 3 days ?????? Problem never fixed ....all Sup are out of the office.....They never called me back for CUSTOMER RECOVERY....which means ......we screw up and want to make it a better experience....

First off the customer service is the worst here. I called Duke energy because we have a hot water replacement coverage and they called Jim dickerson. To start off with they never called to schedule a time to come out to look at the hot water heater, I had to call them. Then because of the company having TWO technicians out they couldn't make it out until the following day. So the the technician comes out and lets us know its a valve that needs to be replaced. okay that's fine..... He said that is something he will need to see if it can be picked up at a part store or ordered. We had not heard anything until again we had to call which was after 4 pm and our appt was at 8am. Then finally the lady calls me back and tells me that they have to order this part and they are going to 1 day ship. also she told me that they couldn't guarantee for them to be able to come out on monday. So this means we would be without hot water all weekend. That is crazy and the worst customer service to leave a customer without hot water for a whole week. RIDICULOUS!!!!!!! would not recommend Jim Dickerson.

Dickerson Plumbing and Electrical provided very professional service with their electrician Scott Ewing. Scott was very detailed, and always let me know before he had to turn off the electricity for a short period of time (since I work at home, this is very important) and was very polite (and wore booties) whenever he needed to enter my home. I am very pleased with the quality of service from Dickerson.

My new electric water heater broke a month after being installed. For some reason we were getting only 10 gallons of hot water from a 50 gallon water heater. I called Dickerson, their tech came out and he said he swapped out a defected heating element. After he left, the initial problem persisted, we were still getting only 10 gallons of hot water and along with that he broke our water heater where it started leaking water into our crawl space. After multiple calls to Dickerson company they stated they refuse to come out to fix the issue. Stay away from this company, they obviously don't know what they're doing.

We are so impressed with this company, the technicians and Marty that a 5 star rating just isn't enough to express how pleased we are. Look no further if you are looking for the bestt. They are honest, dependable, reasonable and down to earth professionals....guaranteed!!!!

I have spent the last 2 and half days with the resident electrician, Nathan and his coworker Bobby. And no, he's not from Morris Jenkins. My entire electric panel had to be moved and replaced. It was a LARGE job, to say the least. I WAS anxious to have power restored, but the overall performance was stellar. Do yourself (and wallet) a favor and call them the next time you need an electrician.

Very rude woman scheduling appointments. I received a reference number from whirlpool and once I finally was able to get in touch with this company to schedule a repair, she refused to schedule the appointment. She told me I had to contact the plumber that I had install my hot water heater to repair it and then hung up on me. I wish I could have left less than one star!!!

After paying them $300 to repair a hot water heater that is only 6 years old I was still having the same issue shortly after the plumber left. I was then told when I spoke with them that the plumber would be back the next day, a Saturday. When he never showed I called them and they told me he didn't work that day and he could come on Monday and replace the entire unit. I asked about the $300 in parts and labor that I already paid and they said that was paid for the work they did and not relevant to replacing the unit. I refused and decided to look at the unit myself. I discovered that the unit was not getting any air as the intake was covered with dust and dirt. The plumber had said he cleaned this area out and DID NOT. After cleaning it myself I am back up and running but still out the $300 in un-needed repairs that they performed.

They were very responsive and after evaluation, effected a very efficient repair .

I called this company because I had issues with water in my tub and coming from the floor of my bathroom toilet. Along with other companies called, I decided to go with them because the rep on the phone said they we very honest people and do not charge for services that were not needed. This was their pitch for charging hourly vs flat rate. Seemed to make sense so I had them come out.
Now what did I actually get for my money? A whole bunch of nothing and a huge waste of time.
The plumber showed up at 2:50pm and had difficulty locating my sewage drain so he could snake it out. Mind you, he took the time out to view my neighbors yards and where their sewage drains were located. The sewage is also marked on the concrete, so finding it should have been all of 10 minutes. But, no....it took him 1 hour and 15 minutes to find the drain.
After he finally found it and popped open the drain, he informed me that this is a city issue and I should have called them, not the plumbing company. He also informed me that I would be charged for the full time he was there, even though some of the time he was smoking, walking in neighbors yards, and calling his office to get someone else to come help him look for the drain.
As you can imagine, I was upset to find that I had to pay almost $200 for him to do absolutely nothing. He did offer to snake the drain for me since he was already there, and since I still had the plumbing issues. I figured, why not? If I HAVE to pay him, at least I'd make him WORK for it. So, 25 minuteslater he tells me that his snake isn't long enough and that the city has to come do it afterall. Awesome!! What CAN this company actually do, besides rip people off?
So, as he is packing up getting ready to leave, I go inside and write the check for the time he was there. But wait....there's more. I'm hit with an additional 15 minute charge, which is right around $37, for his drive time!! WHAT???? This was never mentioned to me when I called in with my issue, nor was it brought up when he arrived. I went back inside and wrote another check. At this point, I just wanted this guy and his company GONE!!!

PLEASE, SAVE YOURSELF A HEADACHE AND GET A DIFFERENT PLUMBER!!!!

I have had to use a plumber before for this same issue and not only did they locate the drain in less time, but they were able to snake the drain, pack up, and be gone in less time than these theives took to do a bunch of nothing. I will NEVER use this company again!

We called Jim Dickerson to come out and unclog our Washing Machine drain. Their guy showed up but did not have the right tools or machine to do the job. They had call a 2nd plumber and they charged me almost $600.00 bucks. I called and questioned the bill and was told they would review it an call me back but they never did.
