My wife and I were very impressed with every aspect of this service. Especially our tech Kyle Jackson. Our outside circuit box fried at 8pm we called Roby services and within an hour they contacted us and Kyle was on his way. A complete replacement was required so Kyle explained it couldn’t be repaired on the spot but that he would return the next morning. A little after 8am I received an alert on my phone he was on the way. It even had a real time GPS that showed his progress to our home. They had to co-ordinate with Duke power to cut power to the house for the repair. Everything went seamlessly. Kyle updated the repair progress via texts as I was at work. Excellent,excellent service. Will definitely us them again!!!

Kyle has been to my house before, and I trust him, as well as his work, completely. Today, he replaced 3 original smoke detectors with upgraded ones. He's competent, friendly, proactive, and just a generally nice person. I would absolutely use him and Roby Services again for future electrical services.

Michael worked on my projects electrical meter , I called and within a couple hours he was out and working on the project. There was not much information at hand to give prior but still he was prepared and had the job done within the estimated time. Thank you I will definitely be using the same electricians again.

Kyle is a master electrician! I would highly recommend asking for him. Kyle hung a 250 pound chandelier in our home and he did it alone. It was an extremely difficult fixture to wire and hang. Four other electricians from different companies came out and were unable to install the fixture. Kyle was excited for the challenge and made quick work of the project. We were blown away that he was able to do the job himself. He is smart, talented, and very friendly. Thank you Kyle and Roby Services!

Love Roby! Allan was tremendously helpful and stayed past an inspection visit. Oven wasn’t functioning properly (unrelated to inspection) and he checked all wiring, panels and jboxes. Didn’t leave until everything was working, reassembled, tested.

Gus and Luke did a wonderful job modifying our cable wiring to the second floor. they took great care of our walls that were involved, just did a great job. I highly recommend them!!!!

Roby was quick to schedule an appointment and arrived early in thr window provided. I received a text and call as Mel was heading my way. Work was done efficiently and Mel was pleasant and took time to listen and respond to concerns. I will use them again.

I work for an HOA management company that manages approximately 200 neighborhoods, both established and new developments. We use Roby a good bit when issues arise. Matt from Roby is working on some power pedestals, which are little 2 foot tall white towers with lights on our docks on lake wylie. He is super professional and knowledgeable. Everyone else at Roby is great, I wish I could remember the 2 ladies I've spoken to on the phone cause they have great customer service. One might be Kim but I could have that mixed up....I know one of the 2 said she was new so if that narrows it down she was great, yall found a kweper!

Gavin also awesome, I've gone back and forth canceling an re-requesting an outlet from Roby and he's been so patient and helpful, glad we can proceed with the work this monday!

The entire experience was excellent. Morgan did a great job and had a wonderful personality. She did more than expected. I am excited to have this company as my new go to for my repair needs.

Mel and his team came out for two days for a total duct replacement - they were on time, knowledgeable, very professional and efficient with their work. Will absolutely use them again!

Thanks to Robbie we were able to correct an issue with a shower drain that had been installed incorrectly by the original plumber. He was responsive and clear with what would be needed to correct the problem. Grateful for their timeliness and professionalism.

We used Roby Electric for a whole home generator installation. Our project had a number of unexpected complications. What I could not say enough about is how Jake Mackey, our project leader, stood by us every single step of the way. He did not give up, brought in additional experts, partnered with an existing service provider we had, and took care of us at each step. Jake is outstanding at interacting with his customer. His demeanor stays calm, and he is always responsive. He listened to actually hear, validated frustrations, and stayed in problem solving mode. He even followed our project through after he was moved to another area of the company. He should train every employee on how to handle things well. What you want is a service provider that delivers on their promises and thanks to Jake, we got to that point. Roby also helped us with some smaller electrical matters while handling this project, and it is great to have peace of mind.

Roby was great to deal with. Aaron was our technician and he is very prompt, professional, and has so much knowledge. He explains everything to you and does a walk through. Definitely recommend!

Aaron was great. Switched out an old battery in our generator and got it working in no time.

Kyle Jackson was super helpful, knowledgeable, and took the time to walk me through why I was experiencing my problem as well as multiple solutions to fix it . He was great.

Matt was terrific. On time, very professional, but also really nice and personable. My cat ? adored him. That, plus excellent work and great service, I will use Roby and ask for Matt specifically, the next time we need help. I have thought very highly of Roby for years and this was another example of their professionalism with a friendly safe feeling (I hate to say I have felt uncomfortable with some individuals in my home, but never Roby. Plus if the cat approves, I know he is a good guy.) In all seriousness, highly recommended.

Joel Dellinger was very nice, very knowledgeable and very patient with the plumbing issue that Charlotte City Water could not fix at my new Town Home. I was without water for almost 24 hours - thankfully most of it I was asleep. But he got the job done after several hours and blew out clay mud and a LOT of rocks in my pipe all the way from my meter. I’d hire him again for any plumbing needs!

Recently we were planning on purchasing a home we were renting and we of course had a home inspection and they noted some of the major system components in our home were reaching their functional age life expectancy.

The inspector noted that our Fort Mill home showed signs of deferred maintenance with the HVAC, electrical, furnace heat and air, and crawl space. They showed signs of wear and tear after years of minimal upkeep.We knew that the heat and air would need to be functional for years to come to protect our investment.

During our home buying process, the furnace in the house actually stopped functioning all together on a Friday afternoon and that weekend was extremely cold outside and we had no heat in the house. Our first thought was to call One Hour Heating and Cooling (turned out to be a mistake) because they can arrive in about an hour or so we thought. 6 hours later and after several phone calls trying to figure out who they were sending we finally found out that a technician was on the way and he went up to diagnose the system and shortly after he came down with a summary of proposed work ranging from $1500 up to $9,000. Mostly those quotes included overpriced years of air filters and service fees which was a major rip-off.Nowhere on that quote did they address the actual problems that needed to be fixed that same day to get the heat back on for our family of 5 including our 18 month old boy. Surely this is their ‘standard protocol’ when they send someone out because it’s clear they follow a ‘profits over people’ business model.

I knew this couldn't be right so I asked around and got a recommendation from a client of mine that happened to know Jeremy at Roby services. Luckily they are actually neighbors so we showed him the quote and Jeremy asked me to call the office Monday morning to send out an HVAC repairman near me out to see what is really going on with the furnace. He let us borrow a few of his space heaters which allowed us to actually sleep in our home on Saturday and Sunday nights. After running a few tests, Jeremy and Anthony determined it was simply just a bad capacitor and the blower motor on a furnace was shot and the cost to fix was just a few hundred dollars.

Don't make the same mistake I did by calling the companies that spend hundreds of thousands of dollars on advertising just so they can send out a salesman to take advantage of any homeowner they can. Call Roby Services to get an honest diagnosis as to what's really going on with your home. These guys are passionate about what they do and they are professionals that will give you a fair quote to address what needs to be fixed and not try and scare you into thinking you need to build a whole new house just because you have a light switch not working and a clogged drain.

Morgan came to see what electrical work we hoped to get done and to quote that work. She spent 3 1/2 hours looking over everything and being sure she had been thorough. She quoted all the work and did some official diagnosing of problems, consulting with others when necessary. I feel confident that if we contract to do the work, it will be done well. Morgan was delightful to work with, and incredibly professional.

Allen was SO great!! Got creative with my monkey fixture and had super fun ideas! Very courteous and professional. Very capable. Nice guy! Please send him to me next time!!

Kyle Jackson, Gus Gaydick, and Andrew Papas were top notch. They found a quick, safe solution to our electrical issue with great efficiency. All three Roby employees were polite, professional, and efficient.

Allen and Caleb came to do different things on different days, but quality, service, attitude were the same- excellent. I would call them again in a minute for any services they offer under the Roby umbrella.

This was such a good experience. Brad Randall did a superb job removing an old, huge chandelier and replaced with a new one. All by himself. Anna returned my call and scheduled it right away. We are very pleased!

Aaron was very detailed and professional. Without hesitation, he even went back inside to repair something I’d forgotten about after having already finished! Since I wasn’t home, he sent photos of everything repaired, so I knew it was fixed. Highly recommend!

The folks at Roby were lightning fast for response. Allen came out and explained multiple options available. He was very articulate and was a good customer advocate. He also was great about following up, you just don't get that type of service anymore.

Had some wiring issues related to smoke detectors - scheduling the appointment was super easy and service was scheduled in a timely manner. Kyle came out to my home (at the beginning of my estimated arrival time frame - MUCH appreciated!), very personable and professional. Listened to my issues, made recommendations and performed the services agreed upon. Loved the fact he gave sound professional advice without being pushy! Without hesitation I would request him for any futures issues that may arise.

Aaron and Roby Services Mountain Division are awesome! I could not find a local provider that did not have a five month wait period. I called Wednesday, they were out Friday and fixed everything and then some! Highly recommend!!!!!

Huge Shout out to Anthony and Eli with Roby Services' HVAC team! They came out to meet with me on my very weird and limited schedule of availability, prepared a quote on the spot and were out the next day to replace my system. They were very friendly, professional and as knowledgeable and as communicative as they come - I absolutely trusted their feedback and advice! Since theirs is a business supporting homeowners in areas some of us simply don't understand, the value of that communication and trust is so important. You can't go wrong with this team!

Contacted Roby Services to install a switch for our garbage disposal and troubleshoot some issues we experienced with outlets in the kitchen. They were able to install a new switch and determine the original switch was not properly installed by the previous owners creating issues with some of the outlets in the kitchen. They were able to fix the issue and install the switch in a little over an hour. Ryan was super professional and was able to quickly diagnose and fix the issue permanently. We will definitely be using their services again for future projects.

Michael on the plumbing side and Justin on the HVAC side are awesome! These service providers are super knowledgeable and the quality of work speaks for itself. The maintenance programs Roby offers are crucial for maintaining an efficient home. Thanks guys for helping keep our casa run like a tightly-ran ship!

I attempted to contact 6 other contractors in the local area before reaching Roby Services. They answered the phone, called me when they said they would and showed up when they said they would. Those are bare minimum criteria worthy of 3 stars these days. The other 2 stars were earned by Aaron. He did great work, was patient and punctual. I appreciate the job well done.

Brandon came over for an after hours service call. He explained the problem and stayed until all the issues were resolved. Very professional.

Let me tell you, Steven G. at Roby is the MAN. I had him come install a few new light fixtures for me, and he had those things done and working in no time. After that, he came and did some electrical work moving some switches and adding outlets, and this man knocked it out of the park. 10/10 service, 10/10 responsive and helpful, 10/10 customer service.

I worked with Michael Scism from Roby Services and he was an absolute professional. I was interested in a home safety inspection, looking at a rusted out circuit panel and needed information on a generator. Michael was honest, knowledgeable and respectful of my time. While I did not move forward with all of the recommended items, I am confident that I need to make electrical improvements and I intend to use Roby services again.

Jake Mackey from Roby Electrical services came out today to evaluate some issues with an older electrical system. Jake was very professional and knowledgeable regarding all the electrical issues. He provided a common sense approach to repairs in a cost efficient manner. We had our repair estimate before he left the house. I would highly recommend Jake Mackey at Roby Electrical Services- He was AWESOME!

My service man Matt seemed to be very proficient in his abilities. He was very personable and caring of my needs. He was also quick and finished the job early.

This company is literally one stop for all your home needs. From electrical, HVAC, to plumbing. Home improvements, handyman services, new home renovations to commercial construction. I just wanted to send you a note to say how outstanding Roby treated us with our HVAC system. They truly went above and beyond to make sure that we were taken care of and the problem was resolved – coming during the day to fix it and then coming back that night to fix the problem again. The entire staff was incredible to deal with. We were exceptionally pleased with everything about Jake Mackey, Roby's electrical serviceman. His work was professional, accurate and neat.Jake's manner was always pleasant and very helpful when responding to our questions. Of note is the professional way he worked with team members who assisted him, He is an outstanding representative of Roby Services. Jake is definitely our man if we need additional electrical work. He came back briefly to check one of the outlets we were having trouble with. He thoroughly explained the problem and took care of it.

Roby Services helped tremendously with a wiring solution for our new dishwasher in the kitchen and new GFCI circuits that were needed to be installed. The Roby team does great work and we highly recommend them for their services.

AT&Twas tearing up my yard to put lines in when they broke the water main in front of my home. Once it was fixed, I had two toilets and a faucet that would not work. Joel Dellinger with Roby Services Plumbing was called in around 5:00 pm to fix them. He was such a joy! He immediately knew what the problem was and fixed them in no time at all. Very professional and knowledgeable. If I need any plumbing work completed in the future, I will definitely request Joel!!?????

We used Kyle Jackson from Roby Electric to install a chandelier that was not an easy task.We are a design firm in town and called on several electricians who turned the job down due to the difficultly of hanging this particular chandelier. From beginning to end Kyle was professional, calm and dedicated to the task at hand. The chandelier he installed was an oversized two- tiered LED light fixture being attached to a lift system with a 30' high ceiling and he was able to manage alone without help which suprised us all! We could not be more thankful for him and his dedication to completing a job well done. We will certainly hire him again for other jobs and highly recommend him. Swell Decor

We have used Roby Services for several projects over the years and there's a reason we keep coming back to them--they are pros at what they do. This week, Ibis, Adam, and Michael installed new ceiling and exhaust fans, and replaced light fixtures at my home. They were courteous, tidy, and professional. Since it was Adam's first job, Ibis guided his apprentice with care and diligent support. I'm grateful for the professionalism of these three craftsmen.

I have used Roby for years, just in the past two weeks they've worked on two of my properties. I have never had any issues with them. They always call ahead, show up on time, and seem to enjoy what they're doing. Sandy, in the office, is always exceptionally nice and helpful, and the two electricians I've dealt with in the past few weeks, Keith and Donald were very professional and easily approachable. I'd highly recommend them!!

We used Roby’s HVAC service for cleaning and maintenance on outside coils. Appreciated the communication of when the tech would arrive and them showing up when they said they would. Anthony was very friendly, professional, and informative. He didn’t try to oversell anything and really seemed to have the intention of making our current equipment last as long as possible for us. We plan to use their maintenance plan and highly recommend!

My elderly neighbor had her electrical ripped off the outside of her home by a downed tree. It is July in the Carolinas and she is in her nineties... I contacted Roby... Every single person was knowledgeable, quick and friendly. They worked hard (in the rain) to make sure that the job would be done quickly, on a Friday, so that the inspection could happen and the power would be restored that day instead of the next week. They worked all day to make sure that the resident, me, the inspector and the power company were on the same page... Thanks so much to Allen and Ryan!!!

Michael Bigham at Roby Services was unbelievably helpful. He was quick to identify my issue and complete my work in a timely manner. He was very professional throughout our interaction, and answered all of the questions I had for him to ensure the issue was fixed appropriately.

I reached out to this company for handyman services because the reviews are stellar and they came recommended by an associate. The project i wanted fixed was to remove and replace about 6-12 inches of dry wall and base mold at my backdoor that was affected by water intrusion. With only the use of a 30 second home video Josue quoted me a whopping $2000 with the potential to be more. HAHAHA what a joke! I received another quote from another company that also had phenomenal reviews and was quoted $600 AFTER the handyman actually came to my home to inspect the issue. Seems to me like Josue tried to pull a fast one on a single woman new homeowner.

Steven was great. Helped install led fixture. Checked a few other light installations. Great quality work and happy with my new fixture!

I cannot say enough great things about this company. From Judd who answered my call for help with my HVAC units to Jeremy and Hunter who worked diligently until the problems were solved. I’ m so impressed with their responsiveness and level of service. They are outstanding.

I just used Roby once more for a heating issue and I was not disappointed. Jeremy, Anthony, Elijha and Hunter are outstanding employees whom I have total confidence in.

Roby Electric is the electrical contractor that is doing the electrical work for new my fiber glass pool. Very impressed with this company. I had to update my electrical service because of the pool. Jeff and his team member have worked hard to get the job done. He has communicated with me from the start by texting me when he would be coming and what work would be done when he arrived. The office staff are great as well. As a funeral home manager, I know the importance of great customer service. The folks at Roby need to teach the pool company what great customer service is about because they have been keeping me better informed. Great folks at Roby Electric! You guys rock!

I hired Roby electric to clean-up an abandoned job from another electrical contractor. Kyle and his team of 3 other guys worked hard to finish our job for 10 hours straight. While things weren't completely prepped for them, they worked through challenges and made sure the job was completed in a timely manner. They were pleasant to work with and I have hired them twice since the first engagement and they have delivered.

Jacob repaired our whole house standby generator. He did excellent work. The generator is now purring like a kitten. I fully recommend him.

Elijah and Hunter were great and very professional. They treated my wife and family with the utmost respect. They did a great job with our AC service and cleaning. I would highly recommend Roby and Elijah and Hunter.

Totally pleased with the work Ibis and Sary from Roby completed yesterday installing recessed lighting in our 2 story family room. Totally changes the room.  And they were so professional, courteous and precise in their work.  They seemed to be genuinely interested in having everything 100% right.

You would never know that they were cutting through drywall and crawling around in blown insulation.  The house is now probably cleaner than when they began.

Count me as a totally satisfied customer who will recommend Roby and will ask for this team the next time I have electrical work to be done.

Maddi and Aaron were both very attentive to my tight schedule for getting an estimate completed. I feel that the estimate is fair and complete. I plan to schedule the repairs early next year.

FYI - if you need an electrician I strongly suggest NOT calling Roby Electrical. I scheduled an appointment for the 2-story family room ceiling fan to be repaired. The lights all blink, so likely not just a lightbulb replacement. Clearly told the Roby operator that the room is 2- stories. Electrician showed up yesterday to basically assess the situation. He walked into the house with zero tools, flipped the lightswitch and nearly immediately recommended replacing the ceiling fan. He suggested three steps:
(1) today's meet and greet for $100
(2) a proposal for 2 guys to come with a tall ladder and determine what they think the problem might be for another $650 and
(3) a third visit of 2 guys to repair the issue (or replace the fan) for an untold amount.

I couldn’t be happier with the services provided by Roby. Alan, Mark, and Frank were all extremely professional and thorough in their work. They always kept me informed and focused on making sure I was happy with the quality of work. Fantastic job all around.

We hired Roby for the install of a new electrical panel. Despite communicating clearly and directly with the on site manager about our future plans and need for extra circuits, they installed a meter-panel combo with fewer circuits, rather than discreet units.

This was fine until we entered our 2nd phase of renovation, with the attic conversion (which again, was made very clear to the on site crew who was purchasing the equipment). We contacted Roby during previous work to try to work out a remedy, and they simply seemed to have send us an inflated price including a whole new panel, rather than make it right.

We ended up going with another contractor at that time out of frustration. Now that we are entering our attic work, we will need to shell out additional costs for a sub-panel, in addition to having one more piece of equipment attached to the back of our newly renovated home.

This is in addition to ground wire installation which somehow passed inspection, but we were just informed that it does not meet code. Note for you home-owner's out there, the ground rods are supposed to be below grade, and if there are 2, the wire connecting them should also be buried. (Ours is not).

I cannot recommend this contractor for any type of renovation work.

I eventually had a generator installed, it's been in some months now. But, the process of getting it installed was hectic. I did go through Lowe's to order everything, I don't know if this was the problem. As my appts. I setup with them kept being cancelled, to not even been recorded when booked by phone. I didn't even get a clear reason as to why. I had to physically go to the office and speak with a couple people to see what was the hold up. This was also after the install was started, but not completed. One answer was you are not on the schedule, which is one reason I was there. The installers were great, but it actually took months to install and of course that didn't take away from their prices. So, don't look for any payment adjustments or any discounts or refunds when they take a while to install something.

Antwahn was great! He came early to my appointment and explained everything the company would do. The pricing was reasonable and he was very professional. I am having a 20kW generator installed in 2 weeks. Highly recommend!

Jake M. from Roby Electric came out to install two pendant lights over our kitchen island which required some switch work, wiring and installation services. Jake is a true expert technician and customer service professional. Along with the requested work, he performed a pre-work safety check of all electrical panels and general status of wiring and conditions. Work was fast, efficient, clean and above all -- complete and professional. In today's world, not always easy to find! I commend Roby Services on their choice of employees and would like to personally thank Jake for the excellent work and excellent customer service!

Jack communicated in a timely fashion, updating me via text before he arrived and when he needed to leave and get more parts. He went above and beyond in the repair job: Not only fixing the issue in a timely fashion but even installing a few extra clips to hold a loose line in place unrelated to the job at hand, free of charge. Really appreciated his knowledge, professionalism, and timeliness.

Kyle was professional, and knows his stuff. He inspected and diagnosed the problem with my expired breaker. He explained everything clearly and concisely and made it easy for me to understand the problem. I feel very confident that the electrical issue has been resolved.

I've now used Roby on two different houses after going through multiple different electricians on various projects - all I can say is there is no one else that I would call now. Everyone I have worked with there has been prompt in responding, quick to turnaround quotes, get work scheduled, and most importantly, get it right the first time. Great work and look forward to the next project with them.

We used Roby Electric this past week to have an extra outlet installed up in our attic to wire a security camera system. We had the first appointment on the day and Donald and Kyheem came, on time, to work on it and knocked it out in no time. Donald provided a few options to us before just installing and described what they would actually do before doing it. They left our hone nice and clean and we installed our cameras this weekend so can say that everything is working as expected. Thanks Roby!

Roby reached out to me to set up an appointment with a field service manager to check over the panel upgrade and verified that everything was installed correctly. Thank you. I appreciate the time they took to ensure that I was ultimately taken care of. It is very refreshing to see that they are willing to learn and improve from my feedback.

Hired Roby to do a panel upgrade in 2017 (from 150 amp to 200 amp.) I was told this was a standard job. I had read many good reviews before hiring Roby and thought this would be straightforward.

Unfortunately, I was very disappointed with their work. To sum this up -- a lot of mistakes were made and it appeared that this job was rushed.

Here is a list of what went wrong:

(1) The electrician who came to my house told me that upgrading the outside equipment/wiring was not part of the scope (which did not make sense to me because if the outside equipment/wiring where the electricity flows into the house is not rated for 200 amp, then it doesn't matter if the inside panel is...). He then called the main office who told him that the outdoor work WAS part of the scope and needed to be completed. Had I not asked about the outside equipment/wiring, this would have delayed the completion. This also indicates a lack of clear communication to the electrician from the main office/project manager.

(2) After replacing the panel/circuits/wiring and re-energizing the circuits, the circuit that the hot water heater is on was NOT properly re-set and therefore did not get re-energized. This left us without hot water for the weekend. There were also 6 mislabeled circuits (i.e. the second floor was listed as the third floor, etc.) that I spent 2+ hours re-labeling that weekend.

(3) A 220V wire that had been disconnected from the panel (before bringing Roby in) was re-energized. This wire was purposely left disconnected as the appliance it had been connected to was removed from my home and the plastic insulating layer on the wire was compromised (I did not want to use this wire for any new appliance or other future use as there is more risk because of the insulation damage). Unfortunately this wire was strung through the entire length of my home and I could not remove it unless I ripped up floors. Roby should have paid more attention to which wires were and were not energized BEFORE completing the upgrade instead of wiring up everything and assuming it was safe to do so. I know it is not uncommon in older homes (like mine) that wires are left disconnected from the panel because they are no longer in use (they are left there disconnected because it is too difficult/expensive to completely remove them from the walls leading up to the panel.)

(4) There was an electrical outlet in the way of where the new, larger panel needed to go. The electrician removed that outlet and did not tell me. My husband later noticed the outlet was missing, so I called Roby and requested that it be replaced, which it was. This indicates lack of attention to detail and possibly dishonesty.

I felt that I had to follow-up on many details and did not trust that the upgrade was done correctly. I felt that Roby was trying to get the job done quickly but not correctly.

Jake Mackey did work today. He was punctual knowledgeable and finished quickly. I had more work to be done and he discussed the various options and costs associated with each as well as recommending what he thought would be the best option. A pleasure to talk to and deal with

Anthony and Hunter came to my house today to evaluate a job. Specifically, whether they could install a new cooktop and downdraft vent system in my new kitchen island. They were prompt, efficient, courteous, and professional. They explained everything thoroughly, in a way I understood. I look forward to having them complete my remodel project.

I cannot say enough about the EXCELLENT service we received from Roby on our HVAC system. This was easily the most positive experience I think we could’ve had under the circumstances. It may seem easy and convenient to call one of the big, mainstream, open until midnight HVAC companies, but don't! They are at the high end of the cost spectrum and trained to scare you into thinking you need to do more work on your systems than you actually do. Instead, do yourself a favor and call Roby - you won’t regret it!

Overall, Jeremy and Anthony from Roby did a great job explaining what was going on with our system, what actually needed to be repaired (and what didn’t) and all of the factors impacting the cost of the repair. After calling one of the mainstream repair shops and being quoted what seemed an excessive amount for the repair we needed (fan motor replacement) and pushed to replace a very expensive part that wasn’t even broken, we passed on the repair and called Roby upon recommendation from a close friend. They treated us with respect, provided lots of information and education, and performed the repair for $235 less (more than 25% less) than what we were quoted by the bigger, well known shop. They even went above and beyond by calling the AC manufacturer to see if the part we needed was under parts warranty - something separate from a home warranty that we had never heard of and was never mentioned as an option by the first repair shop! While this part was not under warranty, Roby found out that other, more expensive parts on our unit ARE still under warranty, which we would’ve never known had we not called Roby! They did this despite knowing a part warranty would’ve decreased their take home pay on the repair!

Ultimately, I would recommend Roby Services to any friend or family member in need of HVAC or plumbing services. They are standup, trustworthy folks who approach your repairs the same they would their own family members - you won’t be viewed only as a paycheck!

I called Roby Electric out on a Sunday and they responded in 1/2 hour fixing the electrical problem in less than an hour. The electrician who responded was both knowledgeable and efficient. He explained what needed to be done to correct the problem and cleaned up after himself. I was beyond impressed with the service and price.

Do NOT recommend! Sent out technician to work on our generator who had NO experience working on generators when that was the scheduled known task at hand. Had to send out second technician who also said he is unfamiliar with working with the generator and recommended someone else. Price quoted was $99 for first hour. Price charged magically changed to $99 per half hour. Poor business! They originally installed the generator about 2 years ago and we thought they would have done more professional business!

When we moved into our new home we discovered that our HVAC was not working. We contacted Roby Services and were immediately impressed by their quick response, knowledge and professionalism. Ultimately Anthony C. diagnosed the problem and installed some replatement parts. We now have a working HVAC unit thanks to the crew at Roby. 4 years ago Roby Installed my generator since then they have become my go to electrician. When they installed the generator they corrected some out of code wiring done by the pool contractor a few years earlier. It is good to know you can trust your electrician. I live in PA, and have a rental property in Charlotte. On the eve of a trip to be with my sister who was having surgery, I received a call from my tenants that a tree limb from the neighbor’s tree had ripped the power line and Verizon line from their house. Duke power removed the limb and reconnected to the pole, but to hook the line back up to the house was our responsibility. I called two electricians who could not help me, but the 2nd one suggested I call Roby. This was the best suggestion I could have received, and words will not be able to adequately express my appreciation and gratitude for their immediate response, kind concern for my and my tenants situation (who are elderly), and their incomparable professionalism. I dealt with several women on the phone, and all of them were excellent. I would like to send a special shout out to Sandy, however, who has risen to a level of tenaciousness and compassion that I only hope I will be able to emulate in my own customer service position at a plumbing company in PA. It is a hopeless feeling to be 500 miles away from a property and have an emergency such as this, and I have struggled over the years to find and keep a team of service people for electrical, plumbing, HVAC and handy man type jobs. You cannot imagine my joy in learning that Roby covers ALL of these needs, and I will no longer have to scramble when I have another emergency. To add a cherry on the top of this wonderful cake, Sandy even managed to whittle down my invoice by a nice amount, showing again the kind of empathy and consideration for the customer’s situation that anyone will be hard pressed to find in today’s “bottom line” world. The Tech was very good and professional. However your billing process does not seem fair. He was at my place for 30 minutes and you charged $99 for service call and then charged another $96 for work. I new the problem and told him what was wrong but needed an electrician to verify.

Just paid over $400 to replace a bathroom fan. Seriously? If you were going to charge me that much for a minor job warn me before sending someone out at $99 to tell me that yes, indeed the fan does not work (no d'uh). They were trying to up-sell me to over $700 with their plan and needless surge protector. Really? I need a surge protector for a bathroom fan that was running safely for the eight years I've owned the house? Not ever using these guys again!

Hunter Martin replaced and upgraded the insulation on the electrical pipes that run from the exterior of my townhome to the HVAC units. He and his associate, Jeremy made sure these lines had the solid insulation they needed as well as providing a clean appearance which was definitely an upgrade! Brittney contacted us and they found the part had it overnighted and Joey was out the next morning and had everything fixed with our power back on. They were so great with EVERYTHING from keeping us updated on the whole process to letting us know when the problem had been fixed to also scheduling someone to come back out when we returned home to look at what had initially caused the main breaker to blow. I think it’s EXTREMELY hard to find a company that really seems to show such good customer service and care in something that is so crucial like not having power. We had Douthit Electric come out and quoted us $1,600. to replace 2 circuit breakers. I googled the cost to replace a circuit breaker and all indications were around $200 for one breaker replacement. I called Roby Electric to obtain a second option. Roby Electric sent Ibis, their service tech, out. Ibis tested the voltage and confirmed we had 1 bad circuit breaker (not 2 ) and we decided to change out 3 (safety measure only since they were older) and the total cost was $400.00. Ibis was professional, honest and quick. Ibis tested the voltage and confirmed what we needed. Douthit never tested anything. I recommend Roby Electric for ALL your needs. They are capable and honest. They want to build a long lasting relationship by treating you fairly versus trying price gouging as Douthit Electric attempted to do. It pays to obtain a second option. 5 stars!!

Roby Heating and Cooling were fantastic! My furnace went out early Sunday morning, I jumped on the chat function online at 630 am and was on the phone with someone by 635. Technician called promptly at 8am to try and trouble shoot the problem over the phone and ultimately scheduled an appointment for 1pm. Jeremy showed up on time =, was very professional, diagnosed, and fixed my problem within 15 minutes. He also addressed a couple other questions I had with my system. I was going through some old paperwork and found an estimate from a while back. We were trying to sell our home after the real estate crash in 2011. Like many others, we were struggling. We found out after the deal that the buyer was a mortgage analyst for a big American bank in CLT and once we were under contract, he knew every trick to try and squeeze more money out of us so he could flip the house later.

A large part of this game was to bring in an inspector he had connections with to find as much wrong with the house as possible. Then they brought in subs to inspect, verify and give quotes on all of the issues found in the home inspection. They wrote estimates for tens of thousands of dollars which the buyer then brandished to try to get money back at close after we had moved out of the house or he would walk. The total from Roby was $3003.75 and they agreed with every fault on the inspection including completely replacing and rewiring our unsafe electrical panels.

Long story short, I got my own contractors (at my expense) to counter these. One of the other electricians charged less than a few hundred dollars to replace 3 GFCI outlets, change some bulbs and write a no-nonsense letter for us basically calling BS on the rest. One of the craziest issues was trying to charge for the installation of a 240v dryer outlet when the other electricians said it's already there and working. Your guys didn't see it? A photo of the work order is attached. With the exception of a couple of failed GFCIs, NONE of this was needed.

To be fair, Roby was not the only contractor that did this and, to be honest, I don't know if Patrick is still even working there.

To the owner - All your guys had to do was be honest about the condition of our home and call BS on the buyer. Instead, you guys kicked us when we were down. Sorry to say, but I am still holding a grudge. I know things in construction were bad at the time but considering what may lie ahead, please take this advice. You have had a good decade during the boom since then. When the poop hits the fan again, step up for people that will be scammed like this and tell your estimators to do unto others. Had your company stood up for me, you would have had tons of business over the years from my residential and commercial real estate...
