I am not one to write bad reviews. If I feel a company has done an outstanding job, I will write a raving review. If the service is not so stellar, I typically don't complain, I just simply don't go back. However, the service I have experienced with MCS has been so terrible that I feel the need to let others know. When I started shopping for my refrigerated air, Costco came highly recommended to me. I looked into it and found they contracted with MCS. In the end, I was happy with what I saw and heard so I purchased thru them. The problems started one week after the installation and I had signed the paperwork. My AC just stopped working so I called MCS and apparently there was a bad blower in the brand new, week old unit. I understand that happens sometimes and really, that wasn't the issue. My issue is with the fact that NO ONE communicated with me. The day they were supposed to show up to replace it, no one showed. Then, they didn't have the part in stock and had to order it. They finally get the part and come to replace it and what happens? They ordered the wrong part. This entire time, no one within the company was communicating with each other and I was getting bounced around from person to person and no one knew what was going on. So finally, it gets fixed after about a week of this. This was end of June, beginning of July time frame mind you so it was HOT and was literally almost 90 degrees in my house. Fast forward to today in August. I haven't had any further mechanical problems with the AC and it has been working great. However, I called Costco today to check the status of the rebate that was promised me. The whole reason I went with the top energy efficient unit was because of the almost three thousand dollars I would be getting back in rebates. It has been 7 weeks since the unit was installed and I signed the paperwork. I call Costco to check the status and THEY HAVE NO RECORD OF THE REBATE BEING SUBMITTED. I call MCS customer service to see what's going on because from what I was told when I signed with them, I should have been getting the rebates any day now (you get 3 rebates total, Costco, PNM, and NM Gas). They tell me they are still waiting for the payment from the bank because I financed and they cannot submit to Costco till they receive payment. This was NOT communicated to me when I signed. They said 6-8 weeks total. Then, I ask about the PNM and NM Gas rebates. The lady tells me they need the serial number from the coil on my unit. They never thought to call me in 7 WEEKS, to get that number. Furthermore, they sold me the unit, shouldn't they have all the serial numbers? I was dumbfounded and beyond livid. Basically, they have been sitting on this for 7 weeks and didn't bother to call me or let me know what was going on so I have been waiting like an idiot thinking these rebates were on their way and they hadn't even been submitted yet. I just cannot believe that this has been sitting on someone's desk for 7 weeks and no one thought to call me or reach out to me. Had I not called today, who knows how much longer I would have been waiting for something that was never even on its way. Again, poor communication on their end. As someone who has been in customer service for 10+ years, I know you HAVE to communicate with not only your customers, but the other staff as well so that everyone is on the same page. For a 15,000 dollar purchase, I would have expected gold star treatment and customer service from this company. That has CLEARLY not been the case and I'm severely disappointed. Get it together MCS.
