Called 781 Plumbing and heating on late Sunday night. Very responsive and quick. As new homeowners, 781 plumbing was very helpful with our boiler issue, providing us with some knowledge and peace of mind.

One of my AC units was broken and Tom was sent out to repair it and service the other unit. During his evaluation of the unit Tom identified and documented several Problems and showed me the costs or repairs. given the previous problems I had with this unit I elected to replace it instead and Tom helped me set up the appointment and will return to check on the new unit after installation.

Tom was Professional, Polite, and Helpful to Me and my family through his entire visit.

We bought an older house this Summer, and, of course, soon discovered many things wrong with the chimney, plumbing, furnace, etc. We set about finding companies to deal with all of this and more.

After discovering a leak in our sewer line in the basement, we called a recommended plumber, who did not return three calls. We researched other plumbers, and found True Blue Plumbing. Their reviews were good, so I called. The great experience started when their office receptionist, Karen answered the phone, and was immediately responsive, helpful and reassuring. This excellent experience continued as plumber Mike arrived, looked at the problem. He needed to return with parts. He replaced the needed part, cleaned out the line and cleaned up the space before leaving, to look better than it had before. He also recommended a couple of additional things we could do in the future.

True Blue is a keeper company, and we are *very*grateful that we received no response from the first company we called! Thank you!

Narrow Way knows heating systems. I have a heating system with a pump running all the time. I called the company who installed the system several years back. The technician couldn't pinpoint the problem, but he suggested me to replace the control board for $1300! and say let's start with that. I am so glad I called Narrow Way. Mario came out and figured out the issue right away, now the problem has been fixed and I am so happy. From now on whenever I get boiler issues, I will always call Narrow Way first.

I had called this company not realizing they were in Mass. Their service was excellent, Mike and Oscar were great. Attention to detail, and although we were hesitant to have the walls cut, his knowledge was spot on as it revealed black mold. Good solid service.

An initial attempt to contact some companies with a work request all too often is not acknowledged or after it is and work begins then a machine-recorded call is made stating someone is scheduled to arrive, or worse a third party calls with nothing more than a display of Call Support -- now one would have to be quite perceptive to connect that with a plumbing company you were expecting a person to get back to...at times these machine-delivered calls can occur four times in ten minutes (thanks to Silent mode or call blocking) -- whereby first impression might be thinking why did someone call so many times while we were out etc... Surely most people know today who calls after viewing call received list or handset record display, but how might a machine know! It came to us later that it was a machine...also if one reluctantly uses a web site form beware of some scripts (here no..script net...) whereby one enters name and number and personal details and hope for best that it is not getting passed to others...

None of this applies to principal Jim, (and Gas Work) and quite an impressive array on specifics detailed for each of these three services can be viewed at his web site. Web sites can, and Jim's does, give one a positive perception. It is clear and straight forward, and that and much else, describes Jim.

His expertise of plumbing, heating, and gas is complemented by his holistic, practical experience and understanding of the entire house, types of insulation, structural matters, and much else one will gleam when talking with him, and add this while he is working! Initially he was asked to remove a no longer length of bathroom vent pipe and remove gas line for dryer...

He came to Medford mmediately after being contacted, did the work and before you know it we asked him to do more work based on the initial positive experience. We are glad we did. The project consisted of a complete Replacement of copper for kitchen sink supply lines, new laundry supply lines, and much else. Jim then noted kitchen vent pipe not per code..so we asked him to correct this; one does not want sewer gas in their home.

A request was made another impersonal company, one who uses automation to confirm a request and one who is inflexible to acknowledge via other means of customer, not willing to acknowledge much else, again none of this applies to Jim's company and that is where the focus of these words ought rest.

It may not be often enough that one is in the company of a highly skilled person who conveys complete mastery of their field, lacks the slightest hint of arrogance, explains the process of steps of planned and current work, states when something observed is not per code, and helps one decide upon various ways to rightly address, all while being interesting and pleasant to talk with, what some describe as a person who does to tout how much they enjoy their profession -- that speaks in their detailed actions and quality outcomes.

From assessment to completion, this project couldn’t have gone more smoothly. Boston Standard staff was consistently punctual and professional, work was clean and organized. The inefficient WeilMcClain boiler relied on a maze of piping to supply our radiators and storage tank and was sitting on over 24 sq ft of limited basement space. The new wall mounted Lochinvar combi system gave us unobstructed paths to our laundry area, with clear supply lines, an easily accessible shutoff/purge valve for multiple zones. Air intake/venting were strategically placed to avoid patio area (which was greatly appreciated for aesthetic reasons). The electrical team was equally impressive utilizing the existing chase to run wiring for multiple thermostats, exterior sensor and multiple zone relay. The project managers were constantly involved and followed up to ensure all worked well. The rebate team ensured we sent in required documentation in a timely manner. This project moved us from a system 75% efficiency rating to a top of the line 95%. We truly appreciated the varied possibilities offered during the initial walk through. This knowledgeable team ensured that we set our house up to meet energy needs right now and for expansion projects in the near future. I hired I and C Mechanical to investigate a leak that was coming from our kitchen ceiling . Irfan figured out cause of the leak that was the shower valve located bathroom above . Irfan is a very experience plumber , he did repair the valve without causing extensive damages our ceiling . I highly recommend him and will continue to use him for our future projects
