Best Repair Work in Boston MA

I used TJ Sillari for the first time. I am very content about the services I received from them. They are responsive and extremely knowledgeable. They showed up on time and pointed to the root cause of the the issue I had with my steam boiler and fixed it. They have my business and I recommend them without reservation!

Great company, reliable, plumber came on time and finished the job. Reasonable pricing. I will call again when I will need a plumbing service.

Just had Joe and his team over again. Thought we were going to need a whole new boiler and were ready to spend $10K. Thankfully, we were just dealing with a leak and it was fixed in an hour. They also fixed some nasty clanging noises in our radiators.

If I called in someone else they probably would have pushed me to put in a whole new system, but not these guys. Joe is awesome to his customers. He's trustworthy and I love giving him my business.

Jim came over and looked at an old cast iron pipe that was rusting. He did exactly what he said he would do cut out the old pipe and replace with new. He communicated well and very reasonable with the price. We are pleased with his work. Thanks Jim!

Nate has fixed a leaking toilet and replaced an older one for us in the last few months. He is courteous and polite, but even better he is friendly and helpful. It is nice to have a likable person around when repairs are being made.

I'll start with the positive: The workers who came out were courteous and professional, and they did excellent work.

My problem here is that the price was OBSCENE.

I called them out to replace the kitchen faucet, which had broken. It's a job I'd normally do myself, but I just had wrist surgery. I had already shut off the water and disconnected the faucet, so all I needed them to do was remove the old faucet and install the new one, which I had already purchased and had on hand.

When they arrived, they quoted $605 -- SIX HUNDRED AND FIVE DOLLARS -- plus the standard $99 truck charge. So my options were to pay them a hundred bucks to do nothing and go look for another plumber who would do it for the $200-300 I was expecting, and lack a functioning kitchen in the meantime. Or I could grit my teeth, pay them a little over $700 to do one of their easiest jobs of the day and at least have a functioning kitchen right away. I opted for the latter.

As predicted, they were here less than an hour.

Adding insult to injury, they tried to upsell me on a $200 annual membership that would provide a 20% discount on this and any future work.

As I noted at the outset, the work they did was excellent, and I have no complaints there. It simply should have cost half or less what they actually charged me, and that left a poor taste in my mouth.

A few years ago my tankless water heater stopped working on a Saturday morning...

I called my regular plumber but they were not able to help me. I got a long list of plumbers and started calling them one by one. Nobody was answering or returning my calls!

I went down my long list of plumbers and eventually called High Quality Plumbing who answered the phone and was willing to come to my house that day.

They mitigated the issue but let me know the water heater would need replacing. I did not have any warranty papers but they contacted the water heater company and convinced them to replace the water heater for free!!!

I was charged a very reasonable price for the new installation. The new water heater has been working fine since then :-)

Our water heater is old and suddenly stopped working one day. Irfan and his guy diagnosed the issue and replace the water heater for us, along with repairing many other components (pressure relief valve, expansion tank, automatic feed flow value). Despite the hot summer and difficult access in the basement, the job was done beautifully. Irfan was also able to fit our work into a really short notice. Much appreciated.

We had a backed up main sewer line due to tree roots. The Rhino Rooter service tech did an excellent job of clearing out the blockage but the most amazing part is the cleanup he did. I was anticipating bringing in a cleaning service but did not need to. Highly recommend this company

I would be cautious with this company. I had someone scheduled to come out to my house for a disconnect/reconnect of a gas dryer. After initially quoting me $225 for what was a 15 minute process to install a gas valve and disconnect the gas they called me back saying it was actually $325 for the two appointments and that it would be $850+ to reconnect and clean the dryer duct. I would ask for your quote in writing beforehand and shop around the area for a more consistent plan.

Jamaica Plain is clearly listed as a service area on their website, and it's only 2 miles from their address, but when I called I was told they don't service this area and they won't give a reason. If you don't service this area then don't listed it on your website and waste customer's time!
