We had no cold water. The plumber was here within one hour. He diagnosed the problem and will have to return to complete the job when the part is received. He also did a couple of other small adjustments. Very professional and knowledgeable.

If you are like me when it comes to repairs I am just used to opening my wallet and let myself be robbed because of not being mechanically inclined. I got three estimate for repair to my AC unit and was given a range of 3000 to 5500 dollars being told this was needed, that was needed and so on. Anyway with money being tight I tried one more estimate and contacted James Dodd Plumbing and Air. The office staff was very friendly and was able to get Mr. Dodd himself out there the same day. So what the other repair places made seem like the end of the world turned out that just a minor repair was needed and the cost was minor. I was so relieved. So yes 'Virginia' there is a honest repair man out there. If you are looking for honesty, professionalism and people that follow through go with James Dodd Plumbing and Air.

Approximately 3 days ago I arrived at my home after driving 9hrs at around 3am to find that I had a massive leak that I later learned was my supply line. Never having had to deal with this before, I obviously freaked out and got the water turned off. Later that morning after calling multiple plumbers local to the Norfolk and Virginia Beach area I had one come out from a different company (NOT MR. ROOTER) that immediately wanted to charge me $3.5k just to break up concrete and look for the leak. He did not turn the water on, or so much as shine a flashlight on the area I said water was coming from. The next company wanted me to do leak detection through a 3rd party first and then have them do the repair, the leak detection was quoted to be about $500, most other places charge much less.

This is significant because Mr. Zhane Albrecht from Mr. Rooter not only found the leak that was actually located above ground, but explained to me how the damage occurred, why it occurred and how he was going to fix it. This guy is the walking epitome of customer service and satisfaction, he wasn't pushy and you could tell he was advising on matters as if it were his own home which speaks volumes to his character as a professional that cares about people.

Rarely is it ever a good circumstance to have to call out a plumber, but through the unfortunate issue I had, I was thankful I had somebody knowledgeable and honest enough to see me through to the other side WITHOUT trying to rake me over the coals. Thanks Zhane, you're the man!

I have know Jack and his wife for years. Jack's work ethic is top notch. His people are polite, right to the point and do the job right the first time. He and his people do not overcharge. They come when they say they will come. The do not do things, just to charge you money. I have always and will always give Jack a GREAT recommendation and refer him to everyone I know. We had great service from A1 Sewer & Drain Plumbing. Our water heater burst overnight and they were very responsive to the situation. We were able to stop the water leak overnight so our dispatched technician, Mike Smith, arrived on time to our appointment the next morning. He assessed the situation and reviewed with me what had to be done. Because the job was in a difficult area, a second technician was dispatched (cannot recall his name) and both were professional and courteous. Job was completed quickly. I would recommend using A1 Sewer & Drain Plumbing for your plumbing needs. You will be impressed like we were.

I called for AC service and expected it to take a while with the recent heat we have had. I received a callback within an hour. They had someone on site within 4-5 hours.
