Worse than 1 Star! DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE! They lie about the cost then cheat you. Here's the ugly detail. I had this guy (co-owner mind you) give me a quote (unfortunately not in writing) to inspect my work have it cleared for the city ($200). So I did the work, he came by and looked at it (10 minutes), went to the city and pulled a permit. everything was fine until he sent me a bill for $500!!! he said it took him 2.5 hours to drive 7 miles to city hall and another 1.5 hours for the work THAT I DID!. I told him that was dishonest. He said he had to charge someone for his time. DO NOT USE THESE GUYS!!! They are liars and cheats.

The technician took his time to analyze the problem and ended providing a permanent fix to something that two other plumbers could not fix. I recommend Atomic for all home plumbing issues

These gentlemen are the best around hands down. They have come to my home and gone above and beyond to fix the problems caused by another company. They came at odd hours and in the rain and never complained or lost the smiles on their faces. This company has fantastic customer service, are incredibly reliable and knowledgeable, and are reasonably priced.
They are the only company I will ever use again.

These guys were wonderful! They came in and fixed an issue we were having with the pipes draining sewage from our home that were causing our toilets to backup into our house. Very down to earth and willing to answer all of our questions. We will definitely use them again if we need to. They really were wonderful. Professional and willing to help resolve the issues.

Brandon and his associate were on time, polite, and professional. He took the time and walked me through the video that he took of the interior of my drain pipe while discussing options to correct the problem. I would recommend this company and Brandon.

This company did not perform as expected, it failed to do the job(s).

My elderly parents, 85yo and 90yo with health issues, required plumbing repair at their home. 1. The bathroom toilet cast iron flange needed to be cut off and replaced because the subfloor had been replaced. 2. The bathtub required clearing the drain and 3. a new sink faucet installed. I called Newman’s because they had positive customer reviews for their professionalism and high rating. Initially they promised to be at the house the next day, I called late the following day to see why the plumber hadn’t arrived.... subsequently someone was dispatched late to my parents home. I conferred by phone with the plumber regarding the work effort and cost prior to starting the job. They estimated the drain and faucet would be $150.00, and the flange replacement as unknown until the number of hours were calculated in. Since I was out of town we agreed to transact payment by credit card phone. Later, after the plumber had completed some work he presented my mother with a $XXX bill which she paid. Why didn’t contact me as instructed IDK! I called the next day to inquire and didn’t reach anyone. I called the following Saturday and talked with the owner that was aware of issues the tech experienced, but didn’t have much information regarding what was performed. I indicated the tech had arrived late work on the following day worked on the toilet drainage pressure, didn’t resolve it, and presented another $XXX bill of a similar amount. The owner couldn’t contact the tech for more details and indicated he would call Monday or the tech would call back to discuss the issue and cost.... it’s been four days and I haven’t received any explanation from anyone!!!
The flange repair was completed. The bathtub drain was augured and not cleared; left in a messy state with black debris. The toilet drain was augured to improve drainage pressure and clear any obstruction—not fixed. The sink faucet replacement was never performed.

Bottom line— they presented 2 separate invoices for essentially the same work effort, one each day and would have billed a third time if allowed to return. They took advantage of the elderly—- unscrupulous and unprofessional!!
None of this testimonial can be rebutted by the owner because it’s true.

Jim is a very smart, honest guy. He came out to my home on short notice to evaluate a water leak and was able to resolve the issue within the hour. He was very methodical and intentional in trying to minimize additional damage and ultimately saved me a lot of headache and money. He also gave me a ton of great information on the plumbing in my home and how to best maintain it. Would recommend to anyone looking for a great plumber in the area!

I have used multiple HVAC companies over the years. Connor services is by far the best that I have worked with. They are responsive, and fair and reasonably priced. They are now my go-to HVAC and plumbing contractor.

Amazing service. Had a broken pipe next to the water meter. After another company said they can’t fix it till 5 days later, these guys came on Saturday at 8 am in the cold and dug for almost 6 hours and fixed it.

I specifically chose this place because of the reputation of them based on their google reviews, however.... i cant agree with any of them. I made an appointment last week needing a quote (not work performed) but a quote to have a gas line run and it was scheduled today between the hours of 8 and 12. I call around 11 to get an update to see when they were planning to come because I had taken the morning off of work, and at that time they told me the plumber was in Williamsburg and was still on the job that needed about 45 minutes on top of 25-30 minute travel time to get to my house. It is now 5:48pm and not once have I received a phone call from the plumber nor the office stating that they were coming to do the estimate or whether an issue came up and needed to reschedule. We are on a time crunch to purchase appliances.... the sale expires tomorrow, so now not only do I miss out on the sale, but have absolutely NO IDEA how much it costs to run a line to determine whether or not we should purchase the gas stove that I would like or just a regular one like we have. I have already sold our current stove and those people are awaiting the call to come and pick it up. So, I've called other plumbers in the area and they don't have an appt soon enough so here we are back to square one.... so thanks for that!

I called A-1 American Thursday night at around 11:30 p.m. for a clogged and leaking sink in my kitchen. I wasn't asking for someone to come out at that late hour, but was hoping for an early or mid-morning service call. Friday was the biggest cooking session of the year for me so I was stressed! John & Larry came out around 10 a.m. They were polite, knowledgeable, clean and FAST!
This is the first time we've had to call a plumber for a kitchen emergency in the home we've owned for 19 years. I would recommend John & Larry & A-1 American Services to anyone in a heartbeat!
