Best Sewer Drains in Virginia Beach VA

I was out of town when the AC started acting up. I used GuySmith previously last year for a similar issue. The issue returned. I was told a diagnostic would be $89. Come to find out that only identifies the symptoms and not the root causes. After asking, they performed a $400+ leak check, lasting about 10 minutes, using a tool that can be had for $250. A leak was found and replacement of the part was quoted to be several thousand dollars to replace. A second option of using a leak stop epoxy was applied for $600+. I was unable to contact my wife during the appointment so my wife, not knowing any better, approved a $1400 bill for something I could have done myself for a fraction of the cost. The leak stop can be had for $60 on amazon. I understand there will be a markup, but in this case, a 1000% markup seems ridiculous for something that was completed in half an hour. Now I get to look forward a 50/50 chance that I’ll be making the same exact call next year because they told my wife that the leak stop only works half the time. I WILL NOT BE USING THIS COMPANY AGAIN.

Owner very knowledgeable and very responsive to all my questions but I was able to get the job done from the person that installed my system but I would definitely come back to use this company

Paid $800 plus dollars for plumbing repairs 5 months ago - 3 times the average it should cost in my area for the same job. Pipes/Drains clogged again. Company says we're out of Warranty! What do you warranty your work for, 30 days? Incredibly disappointed in this Company's policy of not standing by their work. Do not recommend.

We had a gas smell coming from our gas stove and decided to give A-1 Sewer and Drain Plumbing a call. Their response was immediate and they had a technician come out the following day. I was given a window to be available, and the technician, Mike Smith, gave me a call to let me know he was enroute, which I appreciated. A short while later Mike called me again to let me know he was hung up in some traffic on the bridge but that he was still on his way. Shortly thereafter he arrived, introduced himself and set straight away to my issue. Throughout the entire interaction Mike was professional, courteous and polite. After he found and fixed my gas leak he answered my questions, ensured there was nothing else I needed before he left. In a day where true professionalism is hard to find, Mike was the exception to the standard. We will definitely be keeping A-1 on our list for the future.

Newman's has had my back since I purchased a home in Portsmouth a year ago. After months of getting nowhere with technicians sent by my home warranty people, I reached out to Melissa at Newman's. She wasted no time in sending the guys out to diagnose some pretty intense root intrusion in my main sewer line. The replacement took little time, the price was reasonable, but the trust I have with this company is immeasurable. They have treated my family like their own. Thanks Melissa, David (the Man!), Tyler, Richard, the other dude that was out back digging that trench (sorry, didn't get your name).. You guys are wonderful.

Tony got us hot water quickly and was very responsive to my calls and texts. My only suggestion would be to make sure you're both on the same page on how the job is being done so there's no confusion. If you're anything like me, you may not know as much as the contractors do. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY!! Company does not answer the phone. Schedule appointments and do not show up!! They rescheduled 4 times through the home warranty company and they never showed up. Horrible at answering phones and when they do an emergency happened or they are driving and will call back in 15 minutes and never do! What did I do in response, I called back until the phone was picked up and then they had the nerve to be mad when I have been waiting to get my issue fixed for over 2 weeks with no updates and no response!! THIS PLACE SHOULD NOT BE IN BUSINESS!!!!!!!
