Anthony was great! Called at 11pm after another company never showed up after an hour with a plumbing emergency. He showed up within 30 minutes, worked quickly and educated us along the way. Would highly recommend using this locally owned company, Cecilia’s!

The entire experience was awesome! I used Accent to fix a leaking roof in my master bedroom.  Mike came out within 20 minutes and looked it over, told me exactly what was wrong and exactly what he would have to do and quoted me for it. He was honest and to the point. With impending weather and his current schedule, he said he would be able to get to it within the week. He gave me ideas on how to bandaid the leak until he could get to it. He stayed in contact with me and let me know the exact day and time he would be there. He arrived early and immediately got to work. He kept me informed during the whole process using pictures while he was on the roof. He process only took about 3 hours including a supply run which he informed me he was going to have to do. Overall, I can't say enough how great of a job he and Joe did. I would and will definitely recommend Accent to anybody needing home improvements or repairs.

They are certainly transparent about cost, and the technician I met with was prompt and polite.Now to the negative: I called because my tankless water heater is installed improperly, causing some inconsistency in it's operation. I was already aware that the problem was electrical, and I said as much on the phone AND to the technician. I also said that what I wanted (I said this several times) was to get the system that is currently in place up to speed if at all possible. I was told that I would have to have it re-wired, and have my breaker panel modified (it IS possible to fix the one I already have).$170 later, I have a quote for a whole new larger system, installed. The price quoted to me is the highest end of average, according to another company I have called, and it is for the larger system, which I also said I am not interested in. I feel like they could have at least saved me the trouble by asking for a model number and pictures, which is all that the technician did the day of his visit. I had to actually call them 2 days later to get my quote sent to me, because they forgot to send it.When I reiterated the course of action I'm interested in on the phone, all they wanted to do is repeat the reasons for their recommendation, without allowing me any say in the cost-benefit decision of which option fits my needs (I do not need a larger system: I am in a one story home less than 2k sq feet, and even the improperly installed system I currently have fits my needs, it just has quirks).I don't think it's intentional deception, just maybe too large a business to put much thought or energy into actual customer care or relation.

I rarely write reviews and never this in depth - so please read!We were in desperate need of getting our heater fixed - of course it went out the last cold weekend we had for the season! Our system is only 3 years old and still under manufacturer warranty. The technician showed up in a timely manner and was nice; told us that the problem was the ignitor. Charged us $400+ and signed us up for a recurring monthly membership. He replaced the ignitor with an after-market part, which turns out didn't fix the heater. Then he says the gas valve needs to be replaced, but it's under warranty and he doesn't have the part - so we're still without a working heater, and BTW we still have to pay for everything he did even though it was misdiagnosed. He also told us a lot of other things we were wrong with our system and we needed close to another $1000 of work done.We never received an itemized invoice of what was done and what we were changed for. We got a second opinion which told us nothing was wrong with the ignitor (nor the rest of the system), the gas valve did need to be replaced and is readily available to do so under warranty. We called American Mechanical back for an ITEMIZED invoice, to cancel the membership and to work out what needs to be done about the service done at our place - putting back the original part as to not void the warranty.They were not sympathetic, they brushed us off claiming doctors have different diagnoses too, etc. and will have a manager be in touch with us. It's over a week later and we do not have a reply. We have tried calling back almost daily without reply.To put a cherry on top, they charged our card ANOTHER monthly membership fee within the same week. I'm now approaching this via our credit card company because we can't get a response. Terrible to think you can't get decent customer service from a local business. Also, as a doctor myself, having different diagnoses doesn't work like that. If you completely misdiagnose something and treat it incorrectly, you are liable for malpractice.
