I called Atomic Plumbing based on their online reviews. I was a little disturbed that they wouldn't give me a basic estimate for services. They kept telling me that a technician had to come to my residence. Once he arrived, he said he had to rebuild two toilets. I also had a problem with my disposal. I was charged $250 for each toilet, and another $250 just to remove something that had fallen into the disposal. For a total of over $750, I could've had new toilets. Atomic Plumbing charged WAY too much for the repairs that they did. I will NEVER call them again, and I will warn all others to stay away. Much too expensive, and they take advantage of people by never giving out any estimates for their services. Yes, it was an expensive lesson to learn, but I won't ever go back!! Atomic Plumbing should be ashamed to charge so much.

Me, after a second: It's not an emergency. I was just looking to get an estimate and see what the cost would be...

Tidewater Plumbing and Heating: (interrupts me sarcastically) Yeah, okay sir...

Me: *long pause* (in disbelief)

Here's the thing: if you can't treat potential customers with a basic level of respect, don't pick up the phone in the first place.

Michael Green came out to give me a free estimate to repair some wood rot around my garage door frame. His estimate was very fair and reasonable. He was able to do the work on the same day that he came out for the estimate. I am an extremely satisfied customer. I was impressed with his honesty. He explained in detail what he planned to do and ways to save me money. If you need a handyman, I highly recommend Michael Green.

They diagnose that the water heater was failing, installed a new one same day.

Of course I am gonna rate 5 stars. This is a family business. (My family) 3 generations could be working on the same job. And mrs. Dodd answers the phone. Mr. Dodd (my dad) has been doing hvac, electric, plumbing and gas fitting for more years than I have been alive. I have worked for the family forever now my son is working. A true family business. We must be doing something right because we have had the same customers for years, now we take care of their children and even a few grand children. Although we do advertise a bit, referrals is how most people hear about us. Maybe we get so many referrals because we not only enjoy our customers but we are greatful to be asked to come in your homes and help remedy your problems.

They replaced the Soffits on the rear of my house. Very polite & on time, text messages when on the way to Job, finished in a timely manner cleaned up area after repairs very satisfied recommend giving them a trial.

I have 100% belief in this company. I needed three projects at my condo: kitchen renovation, replace hot water heater & drain pan, and change & relocate the outside deck faucet. Steve came in reviewed all three, gave me a very reasonable quote which I agreed to and in a couple of days came and completed all three projects in one day. There was cooper as well as pex piping and he can do it all. Very nice guy who comes in does the job keeping the project areas clean and tests everything before signing off. Highly recommend this company.

Paid $800 plus dollars for plumbing repairs 5 months ago - 3 times the average it should cost in my area for the same job. Pipes/Drains clogged again. Company says we're out of Warranty! What do you warranty your work for, 30 days? Incredibly disappointed in this Company's policy of not standing by their work. Do not recommend.

Robin at Baybreeze made a shocking number of mistakes when hired to fix an exterior gas leak, dragging out what should have been done in 3 days to a full 3 weeks.

After ‘fixing’ the leak the first time, we learned from the city that his work failed inspection, and the lines were still leaking. After ‘fixing’ it a second time, VBG turned our gas back on, but the technician discovered an uncapped line spilling out beneath our deck. Had the technician not caught this and corrected Robin’s negligence, the consequences could have easily been catastrophic for us.

After coming out a third time, the leaks were finally fixed and the lines capped, but he proceeded to install a valve he’d removed earlier for no clear reason (it wasn’t the one leaking) in the wrong spot, and we ended up once again with gas cut off to our gas pack furnace, and our tankless water heater.

After all of this was finally settled, he proceeded to overcharge us by about $250 above what we’d agreed upon, citing the cost of a second pressure test (a test that would not have been necessary had he simply done his job right the first, or even second time around).

Robin was full of excuses at every turn, but all in all, based on my experience he and his company did not demonstrate the competence or reliability necessary to safely work on natural gas. I feel he left my home and my family at risk, and I cannot recommend that anyone hire him in the future.

I checked the usual sources in search of a company that did honest, quality work for a fair price. Everything I found on A-1 was very positive so I took a chance and contacted them. I'm very happy I did.My first contact was with Carol, who was friendly and knowledgeable. I explained my problem (a leak at one of the pipes running into my shower valve) and Carol was even able to provide a ball park cost estimate.AC was dispatched to my house and arrived within the window that Carol provided. He was also friendly and professional and completed the needed repair in less time than Carol had estimated, which meant the job cost even less than expected.When I find a company that does good, honest work for a reasonable cost, I stick with them. A-1 Sewer & Drain is the company I'll call for my plumbing needs in the future.

Great and professional service. The technician, Nick, was very knowledgeable and motivated to discover the root of my plumbing leak issue. He was able to determine that the leak was due to a poor meter reading Public Utilities, which took a great stress off my shoulders as a homeowner. Definitely will use this company in the future!
