Don't be fooled! When you call for information or to schedule an appointment, their customer service is great, but if you have any issues/complaints, the customer service quickly goes down hill. The work done was good, although everything wasn't discussed prior to the work being done. When we had an issue with the billing, everyone from the owner, Jimmy, to the office manager, Candice and Cindy were all rude. I have never been talked to so negatively and from so many people at one company. I can honestly say they do not value customer service AT ALL. If you want to risk everything being done with no issues, then give them a call but if anything can possibly go wrong, don't expect them to be nice enough to fix/solve it. *If you don't believe me, sort the ratings by lowest score, you'll see for yourself how the owner handles his customers.*

Never returned my call, made several attempts to call them after initial call where they took my information stating that I would get a call to set up an appointment.

I called for AC service and expected it to take a while with the recent heat we have had. I received a callback within an hour. They had someone on site within 4-5 hours. My AC was back up and at a very fair price. I had them back a few days later to install several electrical outlets. I would highly recommend Colonial home services.

This company did not perform as expected, it failed to do the job(s).

My elderly parents, 85yo and 90yo with health issues, required plumbing repair at their home. 1. The bathroom toilet cast iron flange needed to be cut off and replaced because the subfloor had been replaced. 2. The bathtub required clearing the drain and 3. a new sink faucet installed. I called Newman’s because they had positive customer reviews for their professionalism and high rating. Initially they promised to be at the house the next day, I called late the following day to see why the plumber hadn’t arrived.... subsequently someone was dispatched late to my parents home. I conferred by phone with the plumber regarding the work effort and cost prior to starting the job. They estimated the drain and faucet would be $150.00, and the flange replacement as unknown until the number of hours were calculated in. Since I was out of town we agreed to transact payment by credit card phone. Later, after the plumber had completed some work he presented my mother with a $XXX bill which she paid. Why didn’t contact me as instructed IDK! I called the next day to inquire and didn’t reach anyone. I called the following Saturday and talked with the owner that was aware of issues the tech experienced, but didn’t have much information regarding what was performed. I indicated the tech had arrived late work on the following day worked on the toilet drainage pressure, didn’t resolve it, and presented another $XXX bill of a similar amount. The owner couldn’t contact the tech for more details and indicated he would call Monday or the tech would call back to discuss the issue and cost.... it’s been four days and I haven’t received any explanation from anyone!!!
The flange repair was completed. The bathtub drain was augured and not cleared; left in a messy state with black debris. The toilet drain was augured to improve drainage pressure and clear any obstruction—not fixed. The sink faucet replacement was never performed.

Bottom line— they presented 2 separate invoices for essentially the same work effort, one each day and would have billed a third time if allowed to return. They took advantage of the elderly—- unscrupulous and unprofessional!!
None of this testimonial can be rebutted by the owner because it’s true.

Highly recommend using Quality Plumbing for any HVAC/AC problems you may have. They are knowledgeable, efficient, helpful, and the pricing is reasonable. I will definitely use them for any future needs that may come up.

I specifically chose this place because of the reputation of them based on their google reviews, however.... i cant agree with any of them. I made an appointment last week needing a quote (not work performed) but a quote to have a gas line run and it was scheduled today between the hours of 8 and 12. I call around 11 to get an update to see when they were planning to come because I had taken the morning off of work, and at that time they told me the plumber was in Williamsburg and was still on the job that needed about 45 minutes on top of 25-30 minute travel time to get to my house. It is now 5:48pm and not once have I received a phone call from the plumber nor the office stating that they were coming to do the estimate or whether an issue came up and needed to reschedule. We are on a time crunch to purchase appliances.... the sale expires tomorrow, so now not only do I miss out on the sale, but have absolutely NO IDEA how much it costs to run a line to determine whether or not we should purchase the gas stove that I would like or just a regular one like we have. I have already sold our current stove and those people are awaiting the call to come and pick it up. So, I've called other plumbers in the area and they don't have an appt soon enough so here we are back to square one.... so thanks for that!

Stay away from this company!!! They are a big rip-off. They charged us $340 for replacing fill kit in our toilet. We should have read the reviews first before calling them. We learned from our costly mistake but this is the last time we are using them. BEWARE!!!
