Very professional service.

Called a plumber out to help me figure out where the leak was. Turns out two of the toilets were running when I was out of town. The techs solution was to replace the parts 2k or replace the toilets 4K and was pushing me to replace the toilets because who knows other parts might fail and I’ll have to replace the toilet in a month anyways. The 4 k price includes 2 toilets plus install and takeaway. I asked them how many hours this would take and what’s their hourly charge and material costs. And his response was we charge by job. I told them to email me the estimate which they never did. And when he left I went on Home Depot’s website and they charge 20 dollars for the parts to replace, 100-300 dollars for the toilet and Home Depot will install each toilet for 315 each. So even if I did go the route of two new toilets plus install and take away that’s still $1200. 4K for that same job is highway robbery. And I get it plumbers will often charge 4x more for an emergency call but this wasn’t an emergency call issue since I already had called the water department to turn off the water and had the water turned off at the main. And when I found out it was those two toilets I had turned off the water to those bathrooms. So there was no emergency and they weren’t offering to do it same day to fix my problem.

These people are either crooks or the tech gets paid hourly and was just killing time giving me an outrageous number while sitting in his van pretending to write up an estimate he never sent me. Because he had me wait a good 20 minuets before his estimate was “ready” to talk about.

Had a nice experience with Tohi from Mr. Rooter plumbing. Very professional and didn't try to sell me services I didn't need. I had a clogged sink for a few weeks tried several different ways of resolving it on my own (baking soda and vinegar, green gobbler). It finally stopped draining completely so I called Mr. Rooter. Somehow, the morning of my appointment, it was draining again. Tohi arrived and did a test to see if it was working properly, and let me know it was. Appreciate the honest assessment and professionalism!

We found Discount Plumbing a very professional and responsive company to work with. We had an issue with continual backups with our main sewer line. Stephen and his assistant Omar (I believe that was his name) came out to diagnose the problem. The initial free estimate includes a camera inspection. The camera inspection showed a very clogged pipe and it was then recommended we hydro jet the line to see what the issue was. Two sections of our main needed to be replaced. One section under our driveway was clogged due to tree roots. The other section in the garage had a sagging section of pipe. Discount Plumbing was able to schedule the work for 3 days later. Christian showed up around 7:30 am with a crew of 5 people. The work was completed in one day, including cementing over both areas. We would definitely use Discount Plumbing in the future.

My water heater sprung a major leak late in the afternoon, right before the normal close of business. I called a few services that advertised after-hour services; Advanced Plumbing & Drain was the only service that was able to assess and if needed, replace the water heater the following day. Gabriel showed up at 7:00 the following morning, recommended I replace the water heater; since I'm in a 2-unit building and decided to replace the other water heater as well. Gabriel ordered the 2 (special sized) water heaters and scheduled a time early afternoon to install. All-in-all, I had 2 new water heaters working before 5:00 that day. Customer service was FABULOUS every step of the way -- and Gabriel was fantastic - knowledgeable, explained things in an understandable non-techie way.

I can't say enough about what a great job Angelo and his crew from Discount Plumbing did with our rental home in Oakland. Angelo called me right away to set up a next day estimate. He and his crew were on time and very thorough. originally, it look like it was going to a straight forward trenchless project and Angelos's quote came in well below several other bids.

Angelo and the crew got to work on time the next day and we were lucky enough to get the once in a blue moon plumbing disaster. A city tree had a root that grew into the line and ran over 52 feet to the house from street. Angelo called me right away and kept myself and my up-to-date with multiple messages as our simple trenchless project turned into a massive multiple trench sewer excavation. After seeing the extensive work that had to be performed it was an incredible relief when Angelo gave us the additional expense from the original quote which was incredibly reasonable. At this point we were at his mercy and I felt that he made sure that he didn't take advantage of the situation. In this day I think this type of honesty is hard to come by and it almost brought me to tears.

Angelo and his crew worked long hours for two days on our little sewer project and they we so professional. The kept the area as clean as possible and communicated clearly with my neighbors, my renter and myself. Angelo was so extremely helpful and positive even as the project got bigger and bigger.

We booked ahead of time, confirmed the morning of, arranged for someone to be there for a 3 hour window of time, and made sure hey had the right number to call when on the way.
Instead however, they did not call ahead. Plumber showed up 40 minutes early, no one was there as they were expecting them later, plumber did not wait for a return call but left and refused to return. Dispatch notified, said they'd call back but. never did. Subsequent calls just rang and rang never went anywhere (blocked my number?). Very unprofessional.
