Updated November 2021: I contacted Rascher again; I had an emergency plus a couple long-neglected problems. As before, my initial phone contact was very positive, and the technician (this time, Jason) was prompt, professional, competent and engaging. The price was fair and the bill was itemized.

Boy's staff start by rolling out a red carpet—literally—and putting on their floor protecting slippers. This isn't a show. It's an indicator of how clean your house will be when they finish. Ryan was one of six electricians who spent a week bringing my 150-year-old house into the 21st century, but he was the one who did most of the work. Ryan reviewed the work of an intern and corrected errors. He methodically reviewed work done by others over the century and a half, and corrected sloppiness. He arrived when he said he would, and he stayed until the work was done, carrying on methodically and efficiently, without complaint or blame, without a ripple in his peaceful composure. As I observed as he figured out the cause of one issue after another, solving each as he moved along the spiderweb of wiring. As I observed his skill, I was surprised to learn he had been with Boy's less than a year. Already, he had absorbed the company ethic of professionalism and care. Every bit of the work was done with as little mess as possible, and Ryan carefully cleaned up every bit of the inevitable dust and plaster left behind. Every one of my interactions with Ryan proved to be respectful and informative. Bravo Ryan. You deserve more than applause for your work to bring this old house from the 19th to the 21st century.

I thought I could just repair my leaking bathroom faucet but after talking with Pedro I realized that my faucet needed to be updated and it would look so much better. Bob was easy to work with and everything seems to work well! Fair prices and showed up on time.

This company does not have discount prices. One half hour of work to replace a small section of 1/2 inch copper pipe at a T joint was $688. No one comes out for free, and no one gives a quote without seeing the issue, even if it is a very common problem. Not sure other firms are cheaper, but this was probably $800 an hour for labor, or more.

Greg came out and took care of my broken handle on my toilet and put on a new toilet seat. Very professional and pleasant to talk to! I highly recommend!!
