I'm always impressed at the speed with which Roto-Rooter technicians are able to respond to my calls. When my basement is taking on water, it's nice to know I don't have to panic for too long. This time, technician Steven Brough was at my house within half an hour of my initial call.

I highly recommend Able Rooter. Tom came out to my place on a Saturday to help out with a backed up basement drain. He was super friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, and straightforward. He talked me through the process of unclogging the drain and gave me tips about how to prevent potential problems in future. Pricing is extremely fair and competitive, and Tom was even generous enough to assist me in cleaning up the mess from the backed up drain. I would definitely work with Able Rooter again!UPDATE: Just last week I had a similar issue with my basement drain and Tom came out again. He was just as helpful and courteous as he was the first time, and also offered me a discount due to my repeat business and the nature of the problem (which he did not have to do by any means). Again - I cannot recommend Able Rooter highly enough!

We scheduled Plumbing Experts, LLC to move a main shut off at a condo we were remodeling. We scheduled 2 weeks in advance for service on a Thursday. I took time off work to meet the plumber and they didn't show. And didn't call. When I called them, I was told another job ran over, and we rescheduled for Monday. I took time off work Monday to meet them, and they didn't show again. Once again, I had to call them to find out what was going on. I was told they couldn't make it, and they would be there Tuesday morning. They couldn't do it again Tuesday, and rescheduled for Wednesday morning. They finally made it Wednesday, and my wife had to meet them and let them in. They sent a guy named Chris, and another helper. Chris complained about the job from the time he arrived, and actually threatened to walk out several times, knowing they had put us in a bind and we needed the work done because we had an electrical contractor coming the next day. When he took out the vanity to have easier access to the work he was doing, my wife asked if he would put it back in when he was done. His response: You know, you're starting to piss me off. Now this man is easily 3 times my wife's size, and he scared her. She called me nearly in tears, and I had to take off work for the third time to go manage this job.
To make a long story shorter, I paid $1100 to have them move a main shutoff, and install a shower valve. Four weeks later the main shutoff started leaking from a crack in a plastic elbow he installed, and then the kicker was I had to replace the shower valve because it was the wrong one. I had to pay another plumber several hundred dollars to fix the fitting that was cracked, but there was no way these people were coming into my place again. We've hired quite a few contractors over the years, and we've never been treated like this before. I'd give them 0 stars if it was possible.

Arrived within time frame given. Very courteous, explained the work as it was being done and the charges. Would definitely use again.
