They always answer your call! The receptionist Nicole was polite and scheduled me right away.Zac came to my home within an hour after I called . My drain was backing up into my basement, He quicky explained everything as to what he was going to do and clean the roots,Then he did a camera inspection to insure everything was flowing properly. I will definitely use Drain Masters in the future.

Used Drain Masters because it was an emergency. I regretted it immediately. While the person doing the work was fine, I feel as though we were taken for more money than necessary. I understand the fee to come out and assess the problem, but when I am writing a check for a brand new hot water heater plus labor, I believe the $69 should have been taken off. And thanks for the $40 coupon. That 2% discount really made the difference. Not sure about charging 3% for using a credit card either. I am so angry for agreeing to use this company. Lesson learned. No matter what, always get recommendations and quotes before doing anything.

I was replacing my toilet, which I have done a few times before, but I noticed that when I shut the water off it was still running. I was calling around for a plumber and heard water spraying everywhere. I called Drainmasters and they had someone (Eddie) out within a half hour. He replaced all of my shut off valves in the bathroom. It was an unexpected expense but worth it. Will definitely recommend.

I called multiple plumbers and no one could come out or if they did they didn’t fix the problem. I needed someone out to my home asap and when I called Drain Masters, Zac was the one I spoke with who was very professional & was @ my house within an hour and fixed the problem. I will refer Drain masters every time!

Very friendly, which is the only reason I am giving 2 stars. Office told me they would come do an inspection for a $59 fee. Guy came out with a flashlight and told me exactly what I told the office person when asking if they needed to come out with what I was seeing. Then wanted $264 for a camera scope. Did not help with finding out what was wrong or could be causing the issue like the office told me they would. This would be a 1 star for sure if the guy wasn’t friendly.

UPDATE: I initially left this review a couple weeks ago. TURNS OUT the smell was coming from my sink/laundry drain just a mere 4 steps from my sewer drain. I would never recommend these people as it seems like they bank on the $60 for the 10 min “inspection” as a business

He had to come out more than once to determine the cause, but we were not charged for anything beyond the first visit. They were very prompt and willing to work after hours to get us fixed. The pipes in our kitchen bursted on Christmas Day due to the freezing weather. We called Drain Masters and their plumber, Eddie, called us within 20 minutes to come out and fix our pipes. Eddie came in and inspected the issue, then got right to work- finding three separate leaks. He was able to successfully fix our pipes within 2 hours and cleaned up after himself too. Very thankful for Drain Masters and Eddie after this miserable incident.

I appreciate all the effort that Ron Crews put in to clear my laundry drain. He spent over 2 hours and used 3 different augers and finally got my drain cleared. Awesome Job Ron!

We called Martain with Drain Masters and he came out that day. He and Ethan from were able to replace the broken water line from the meter to our house and the inside shut off in a few hours. They yard was cleaned up and put back together. They were both very knowledgable and professional. Martain did not try to do more than was needed. After no help from the water company we now have a dry basement.

I did an online request for services Monday evening. On Tuesday at 1:00 Brad arrived as scheduled. He was hired to remove a garbage disposal and replace it with a regular drain basket. He completed the job in a timely manner. I am very pleased with the outcome. He wasn't able to clear the clog in my bathroom sink, but we agree that someone else with the company would be better at handling that task. I have a huge pipe repair job and I am considering hiring them for that as well.

They did come out quickly and got the job done only coming back 1 time to fix an issue on their work. I wont call them out again because they charge your card more than invoice total and do not tell you about it.

We highly recommend Drain Masters for all your plumbing needs! My husband and I purchased a new home a few months ago, and the sinks and showers in our upstairs bathrooms have always drained very slowly. We tried every do-it-yourself product we could find. The drainage problem would clear up for a few days but always came back worse than before. We were worried about calling a plumber because of the hassle of scheduling, as well as the expense. It couldn't have been easier with Drain Masters! They gave us a two hour window, and the dispatcher called us at the start of the window to let us know the plumber would come within the hour. Ron was prompt, professional, clean, and incredibly efficient! He identified and fixed the problem immediately and wiped down the sinks and cabinets underneath when he finished. He even returned the items under the sink to their places. The cost to fix the issue was less than what we had spent on all those do-it-yourself products we tried before calling Drain Masters.

They were the only plumbing company who answered my call in the middle of the night and were willing to come out in the middle of the night to address an emergency situation. They are very knowledgeable and explained things thoroughly.

Called due to an emergency situation. They said someone would call back in 10-15 minutes. No one called. Called again because it was getting late and they had someone finally call. He said he could stop by and cap it but didn't know if he could actually fix it. Said he would call in a little bit and I never heard from him again. Ended up all by myself with a huge water problem that I had to fix because it had gotten too late to call any other company. Wouldn't recommend such a poor communicating company to anyone I know. And hope you are wise to steer clear of them as well.

When I came home Monday night with water throughout my basement from my water heater, I called numerous plumbing companies and Brad from Drain Masters was the only person who gave me a clear answer of what was going on and what to do to prevent water damage in my basement until he could come early the next morning. He answered my many questions and my water heater is back to working without leaking!

Company did an excellent job for a main backup in December 2019. Back today 2/17/20 to run video camera through our system, including the full lateral. Gave us the good news that we did not have a broken lateral as we thought. Just needing a complete cleanout which we will schedule. Tech Marvin was great! Very thorough and detailed. Yesterday drain masters went to my rental property to unclog a kitchen sink. They wanted to charge me $437 to snake the drain. I was floored by the cost to do this. The plumber said this is the price the company tells him to say. The service call is fair at $59 but be wary of charges upon arrival.

$ 370.00 for cleaning a drain in 7 minutes is outrageous and insultingly expensive, for people living on a fixed income, it hurts. Definitely, shop around, cleaning drains isn’t highly skilled or intensive labor.

The tech/ repairman that came to our home had an attitude. We had a coupon and the tech made sure he stayed extra long to make his full pay. I really like this company but; this tech put a bad taste in my mouth.

Had a pipe leak in my basement while I was out of town and it had left about two inches of standing water when I arrived back home. I called drain masters and told them about my problem and they were here faster than I expected them to be. Eddie, the technician fixed the pipe and was on his way without any other issues. I also had the water restoration team come out and clean up the damages from the standing water. my insurance company did all the negotiating and I didn’t have to to anything. My basement is now as it was before thanks to drain masters!

Replace hot water shut off valve, kitchen sink. Pipe not threaded, connection needed to be sweated.

We had a bad clog in our toilet. The guy said he couldn't find the pipe, and refused to try the drain outside saying he didn't think his cable would make the turn. He said the only thing he could do was take off the toilet. He did and still couldn't reach the clog. He left without finishing the job, and I had to pay $350 for him trying. Would not recommend!

EXPLAINED REPAIRS AND NOTED PRICE BEFORE ANY WORK DONE

While on time, the serviceman did not take time to explain the nature of his findings nor evidence to support his findings. He stated a lateral line collapse as the culprit for plumming issues, but another Sewer Service--Taylor Sewer Service--came to examine the sewer line & stated there was no collapse, cleaned the drain, explained each step, &answered all my questions. Drain Masters charged 70 bucks for a WRONG diagnosis.

They provided us a great service. They came out and hunted down our shutoff valve in the snow, and replaced the indoor shutoff valve for us in no time. It was a perfect experience.

Brad came out within an hour on new year’s eve to stop my water heater from flooding my basement! Excellent work. Thanks Brad!

As usual things happen at the worst times ever. Saturday night, 8:30 PM., basement floor drain stops up. Called a number of 24 hr. plumbers, no answer. Sunday AM. called Drain Masters, had a tech at my door in about an hour. Right behind the tech was the restoration crew. Problem diagnosed, repaired, mess all cleaned up and everybody was gone about an hour after they arrived. Thank you Thank you! Crew was a group of ROCK STARS Couldn't be more pleased!

Fantastic Experience. The technician Aaron was very professional, courteous and efficient, a pleasure to deal with. Aaron arrived at my house about 40 minutes after my initial call early on a Monday morning. We had a backed-up main sewer line in the basement on a 40-year two story house. Aaron had the problem solved in 1 hour and was gone. Price was reasonable. Cause of the problem was trees roots and 40-years of sludge clogging the main sewer lateral. Hydroblasting along with a video camera chronicled the entire experience. I was provided with before and after videos for my records. I have had a lot of experience with plumbers and would highly recommend Drain Masters. So far, they are the best!

Scoped and cleaned out our main drain line after it clogged. Fast out by 9am!

Drain masters was just ok, but they was always late in showing and poor communication with the client. Seem to be nice and friendly workers.
Also, they need work on or be mindful of putting haul aways in a safe space when you have kids and illnesses. They did a good job on the clean up and not to mention knowledgeable of their job.

Our toilet wouldn't flush, it was after hours on a Friday evening when we called the South St. Louis location and Aaron was here within 20 minutes. He was very professional, fast, andfriendly. He had it fixed within 10 minutes and the price was right at what he told me on the phone. Excellent service. I strongly recommend them! Thank you so much!

I was supposed to get a bid over a month ago and every time I called to inquire about Getting a bid I am told that someone will call me the next day or someone will call me by the end of the week. This has been going on for over a month now (since 6-11-20) I can’t rate the quality of their work because apparently they don’t want to work. They could have simply said they are too busy to take on any more work rather than blowing me off. I would certainly not recommend Drain Masters to anyone unless you have all the Time in the world to waste. it’s funny because if you look at the photos they have, they have a symbol that says “zero contact service”. You got that right they will contact you zero times no matter how much you call.

I called 3:25 on a Friday Explaining that I needed a shower cartridge replaced on a Moen shower valve at One of my rental properties (usually I take care of these things myself but this day I couldn’t)
They showed up very promptly around 4 o’clock Very polite and very courteous
The plumber called and confirmed what I thought and told me that it would cost $462.47
I told him that was impossible it could not possibly cost that much Moen part number 1222B
Average $25 online or $45 at the local hardware store or moen is guaranteed for life
Just contact the manufacturer and they will send you one for free
And it takes approximately 45 minutes to install very easy
I did tell him however to go ahead with the repairs thinking that he must have been mistaken with his pricing(my mistake)
And my renters are without a shower
Well it was not a mistake the next day they informed me that they bill by the job and that is just what they charge that is ridiculous it’s a crime and I feel bad for people that would not know They were being ripped off and would think this would be a normal charge

Google what it cost to replace shower cartridge:
“Cartridges I have seen Run from $15-$60 to change out initial temperature setting will probably be minimum service charge assuming it can be changed by just removing a decorative face plate
from $75-$175 labor normally expect it to be much higher in big city areas but usually less than $125”

In most Cases a Professional plumber would only charge you $375-$575 to replace the entire shower valve not just the cartridge

I understand that businesses are out there to make money I have no problem paying to have services done
I could even understand $100 service call and a large markup on parts Plus installation

I did contact customer service and they knocked the bill down to $348.47
Savings of $114
I still think I was overcharged by at least $100.00

First time customer and they have lost any future business from me and my brother. Between the two of us we have over 20 rental properties.
I suggest you steer clear of this company.

Called to get information on pricing to unclog a floor drain. I spoke with a female name Jordan. I was told there was a $59 upfront fee. I asked what does the fee included and was told is was for the technician to make it back home. I then asked how much is hourly service or how would the technician determine a quote once he arrives. Jordan reply was I don’t have any other pricing info.

They arrived when they said they would. They were able to find and fix the problem. Told mewhat was going on before they fixed it and how much it would cost. Very pleased with the results so far.

Zach was amazing. We noticed the drain backing up at 9 pm and he was here by 10. He was prompt, professional and thorough. He was honest about needs and costs. My wife and baby were sleeping and he was considerate and careful enough that neither woke up. You get what you pay for and these people are professionals

Appointment made on a Friday afternoon. Eddie arrived Saturday after texting he would be able to come earlier than expected. Plumbing upgrade done within an hour. couldn't have asked for better service.

If I could give them negative stars I would.. The cold water knob in my bathroom shower wouldn't completely shut off. The company sent Ron who determined I need a $1200 repair. However, Ron left without turning on the water to my home. When we turned the water back on we discovered that Ron stripped the bolt to the knob and the water was running faster than it could drain from the tub causing a flood in my bathroom. I called Ron he said there's nothing he can do and stopped answering my calls. I called a manager TWICE and no one has called me back. I have 6 children who now can't use the bathroom or shower because we can't turn on the water without flooding the house. STAY AWAY FROM THEM. They break your property refuse to answer your calls or respond. I'll be contacting a lawyer in the morning to see about filing suit for all the damages.

Had a leak pop up in my condo with water coming through my bedroom and bathroom ceiling. It was Saturday afternoon. Literally yesterday. Ron (plumbing) and Ryan (water damage) from Drainmasters were on site within a couple hours and, over the course of a few hours, were able to stabilize the situation, get mitigation equipment set up, and schedule a follow up for the next day. Ron returned the next day and was able to ID the source of the leak and straighten things out. At all times, both Ron and Ryan were friendly, professional, and understanding. They answered all my questions and took the time to ensure that I was “in the loop” every step of the way. Super chill dudes. The support/admin staff were also very helpful and made sure the entire process was very smooth. They’ve got the right folks and resources on hand to square things away. Thanks, you guys!

We called late on a Saturday night (after 10 pm) because we had a badly leaky faucet. Ron responded to our call. He was prompt to make it out despite the late hour. He was professional and did great work. Would definitely recommend this company.

This company charges exorbitant prices. They quote $99 on the phone, then once they’re in the door & have you over a barrel knowing you’re sitting there with a backed up sewer & can’t use the water, toilet, etc., they start tacking extra charges and a charge to use the camera, too. $$650 later & you’re stuck with them & their prices. No mask or gloves & dirty boots from their last job. He said he didn’t care about germs all the while spreading germs/bacteria all over. Then he said he could only break through a little & would need to come back & charge another $750. Do yourself a favor and call another company that has a conscience & uses safety precautions.

Tech showed up in 20 minutes and cleaned out the drain with no mess.

We were told they would be in and out in three days. It has been six weeks and my lower level is still a mess. We requested a pod to put our belongings in to protect them but we’re told everything would be protected with plastic. Apparently the plastic fell at some point and concrete dust got on personal belongings, furniture, the plastic and into the vents. We still have the dust coming into our upstairs. We’ve had to have them back to fix the concrete because it was so uneven, in areas there were literally piles of gravel where carpet will need to be laid. The washer and dryer were moved and not hooked up, when brought to their attention the hot water was connected to the cold and vice versa. The venting for the dryer was left hanging, disconnected. There were so many issues and when I tried to discuss them with the office manager she basically told me they’ve never had any problems before. I went to the BBB site and knew that was not the case. Her customer service skills are some of the worst I’ve ever encountered. The carpet in my daughters room was trampled by their dirty boots as they needed to get to her bathroom too. When I said something they finally laid something down to protect her carpet, but they left the door to her room open causing concrete dust to get on her furniture, bed, clothes and carpet. At one point they did send a cleaning lady out to clean her room but she left stating that she would ruin her furniture if she used conventional cleaners, they needed more advanced cleaning tools for the mess.
Sometimes things just go wrong. The saving grace here is the higher ups in the company are doing what they can to get things fixed. But they can’t get us back these weeks we’ve been displaced. And we’ve yet to get an apology from their office manager. Which is fine because if it’s not sincere what’s the point.

Please read this review before contracting with this company. I rarely write a negative review, learn from my mistake. This company is not competent, they broke the bathroom drain line, failed to take responsibility for is. The owner will not even take my call to address my issues. Grossly overcharged for a drain line clean out. The technician was supposed to call office and report the matter, he failed to do that. Their automated email system was not working right, it sent me an email to say they would be out the next day, my tenant waited all day for them to show. When I called they said that was an error and were unaware of the problem. They sent a plumber two days later, he cancel on the day scheduled, said he would come the next day. Then argued with my tenant the next day what the emergency was and why did he have to come on a Saturday (how about b/c you canceled and said you would come Saturday). This guy when he did show had a bad attitude and wanted to tear the wall tile out from the sink to the toilet. NO WAY... told him to leave, this has been a nightmare. The charge for the clean out was almost $700 (that is with their coupon and 1.5 hours of work). They did refund me 50% but refused to pay for the repairs, had to contract with another company to compete. I sure wish I knew what I now know... trust me, do not use them!

Fix all problems but very pricey

I had a leak in a pipe in the basement and called Drain Masters on a holiday. They were able to send a technician to my house within 2 hours. Ron arrived, diagnosed the problem and repaired the leak quickly. He was very professional and I thought the invoice was very fair for the work performed. I would recommend Drain Masters to anyone with plumbing needs.

marvin biggs (i hope i’m spelling his last name right!) was amazing!!! he came right away and got right to work! super friendly, helped us any way he could. he always had a positive attitude regardless of having to be in the cold and at our house for 4 hours working very hard!! i’m so thankful that he was the one who came to help us in our time of need and i couldn’t have asked for a better plumber. thank you so much for the punctuality, the attitude, the quality of work, the time dedicated, and the effort!

These guys were fantastic. From fixing the clogged lateral line, to the complete restoration & sanitizing of our basement. Our 5 person crew showed up at 8:30a & worked nonstop until they had cleaned out the entire basement. They took great care of our personal items that could be salvaged, and disposed of everything else. They worked with our insurance to make sure our claim went smooth. We've used Drain Masters twice, and both times have had great results and a wonderful experience. This time around, our lateral sewer line was clogged and water/sewage started backing up in the house. A technician was at our house within 2 hours of our request for an appointment, and was actually early. The technician (Aaron 227) was friendly, professional, and showed me the roots and sludge clogging the pipes with the video line. He answered all of my questions and was honest and up front about costs. We had to hydrojet the line ultimately, and the other technician named Mike who came to assist was also friendly, professional, and patient to answer the dozens of questions I asked him about the equipment.

I'm not sure if Drain Masters is the cheapest service in town, but this was easy, wasn't disruptive to our lives, and quick. Thanks so much!

I would highly recommend Drain Masters for anyone with plumbing issues! Owning an older home, we have had to take care of several plumbing problems. When another one came up recently, we called Drain Masters again without hesitation. We requested Eddie - he is always incredibly professional, very knowledgeable, and friendly. We found a leak in the pipe in our front yard on Sunday evening of Memorial day weekend. By 0830 Memorial day Ron and Ed were at our home and replaced the pipe from the water meter to our house. They were extremely professional and nice. They got the job done and we so appreciated their service. We eill definitely recommend Drain Masters to our friends.

The discharge pipe to our sump pump froze and made the sump pump start spraying into the house at 8:30pm on a Sunday. Ron was there within an hour, found the problem, and saved our house from flooding. He found a large break in the pipe behind the wall and took care of it quickly.
