I purchased a very expensive boiler (20k) last winter for them for our radiator heat.  They came to try to fix the old unit and said that our only option was a new one.  After some debate, we moved forward.  The installation itself was OK.  They left the basement door open for most of the time, and I had to ask them several times to close it because we were freezing.  I tried to ask them how it was going while they installed it, and they would barely respond.  Given the cost, I don't think this was unreasonable.  After the install, it stopped working completely after about 7 days.  I was pretty upset. They sent out a technician off hours who had no idea how to fix it. It turns out that the reason it stopped working was because the exhaust valve was installed incorrectly.  Apparently, it wasn't windy the day of the install, but there was more wind later on, so it needed to be installed differently.  Yikes. It works well now in terms of heating up the home.  I will say that the cost savings from this unit were not at all what they told us. The salesman made all sorts of claims about all the money we would save to run the unit.  All of that wasn't true.  It is cheaper to run our forced air units (although the radiator heat is much better; it heats evenly, there is no dust blowing around, etc.). We do love the radiator heat, but it isn't cheaper.  Maybe it is cheaper than a 50-year-old boiler, but he knew that wasn't our situation.  We weren't using the radiator heat at that time, which is why they were there in the first place.  All of this was really disappointing, but today, after switching back from Hoffman, I had someone out for a separate issue, and he was asking me about the unit.  Apparently, we could have gotten a similar unit and used it for our hot water as well.  He said it would have been another ~$1,000 (compared to getting a new $3000 water heater).  I remember the salesperson mentioning that as an option very briefly, and I expressed some interest.  I don't really know what happened in that particular part of the discussion after that, but at the very least I didn't understand the options, because it appears like it would have been a no-brainer based on what I am hearing today.  I have no idea what to believe on this particular issue, but it just added to my overall disappointment about the experience, which is why I am writing this review.

Last January a second-floor pipe burst and caused significant damage to both floors and the basement. Mike and his team worked with our insurance company to do the best job they possibly could, which in my case was a lot. He also was very professional and in regular contact with resolving any issues that arose and surpassed my expectations for the scope and quality of the job. I fully recommend this company and will use them again if the need arises. Thanks Mike and your team!

Mike Honey and Crew completed a huge project for us. They did an amazing job replacing our old cast iron plumbing with all new. Mike was honest, responsive and he and his team kept a messy job worksite clean & organized, and allowed workable plumbing at the end of each day during the process. What could have been a huge inconvenience, was a smooth process and no interruption in our routine. Best plumber and service I have ever contracted.

Called due to an emergency situation. They said someone would call back in 10-15 minutes. No one called. Called again because it was getting late and they had someone finally call. He said he could stop by and cap it but didn't know if he could actually fix it. Said he would call in a little bit and I never heard from him again. Ended up all by myself with a huge water problem that I had to fix because it had gotten too late to call any other company. Wouldn't recommend such a poor communicating company to anyone I know. And hope you are wise to steer clear of them as well.

Mike and his crew were on time and well prepared. In addition to repairing a leaky shower faucet, they replaced the main water valve on all four toilets at my residence. This crew was fast, efficient, knowledgeable, and professional. These tasks combined took about 2 - 3 hours. I will need to install a new dishwasher soon and I told Mike I will be contacting him again for this new installation. I have used this company at least twice before over the past 3 years with good results. They are quite good at common plumbing repairs and new installation. Their prices are not rock bottom, but they are fair and I believe a good value. There has not been any rework to date. They do the job correctly the first time.
