I was about to give a 5-star review for coming same day to fix my sewer main and complete the job within 1 hour.

Then they charged me for 15 min of driving (ok, fine), 20 min of casual tool cleaning (really?), and 15 MIN FOR WRITING UP THE BILL! Yes, they charged me for the time it took to calculate and type up the total—ridiculous!

UPDATE RESPONSE: Jamie and the technician were courteous and helpful, and I appreciated the same-day service. I also I agree people should get paid; no one is disputing that.

But I just can’t stomach being charged $125/hr to write up my bill. I just spoke with another plumber who said he doesn’t charge for cleaning tools or writing up the bill and that it is not industry practice.

Can’t believe the world’s come to this, but now I know to ask whether a service contractor will charge me to calculate how much to charge me.

Cary Plumbing has tried to fix my daughter’ three toilets in her rental until multiple times. She is still having an issue with the master toilet running cause a high water bill. The last time the technician came out I was at the house for her as she works full time. The technician was ver nice and polite and showed me what he was replacing. When my daughter called the rental agency about the toilet still running she was told the reason they could not properly fix the toilet was because I rushed them. That is totally untrue as I am retired and had nothing else to do that day.

Sampson was pleasant and professional with the installation of my hot water heater. It took him less than two hours to install and clean up after the job. He explained the components of the hot water heater if i wanted to increase the temperature. He also told me other issues regarding my plumbing that may be a problem in the near future. Thank you for all your help and assistance.

The technician was knowledgeable and explained what needed attention immediately and/or later. He explained everything to me patiently and ramifications of timing and what could wait for later. He was professional and courteous.
